Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Keith & Kristyn Getty have emerged as two of the most prolific and popular writers of 21st century Christian hymns, including the modern classic "In Christ Alone," which has been recorded over 100 times. The award-winning couple, who married in 2004, split their time between Portstewart, Northern Ireland and Nashville, Tennessee with their children. They released their debut album, In Christ Alone, in 2006. It would make its way onto the Billboard Top Christian Albums and Top Heatseekers charts two years later.

They returned to the same charts with 2009's Awaken the Dawn. Hymn Makers: Speak O Lord followed in 2011, the same year their first Christmas album, Joy: An Irish Christmas, would hit the Top Ten of the Billboard Christian and holiday album charts. Released in 2013, Hymns for the Christian Life marked the duo's first appearance on the Billboard 200. Highlights from these earliest works were captured in concert on the couple's 2013 effort, Live at the Gospel Coalition.

They returned in 2014 with The Greengrass Session, described as "six hymns from the old world and the new." It earned them the number two spot on yet another chart, Top Bluegrass Albums. The holiday album Getty Christmas arrived the following year, and 2016 brought Getty Kids Hymnal-In Christ Alone and Facing a Task Unfinished, the latter of which was named after a 1931 hymn that they reworked for the album. High-profile guests on the record included Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Chris Tomlin. ~ James Christopher Monger & Marcy Donelson

Keith Pelley is the leading light in the potential PGA Tour-LIV truce – he should be remembered fondly

K eith Pelley clocks off this week as DP World Tour chief executive and it is fair to conclude it has been an eventful nine-year shift.

It featured a pandemic from which the circuit was never supposed to emerge, but actually came through intact boasting record prize money….

A Ryder Cup that he awarded to Italy and first forecasted to be a disaster but which turned out to be perhaps the most successful in the 97-year history of the biennial dust-up….

And a civil war at the start of which Wentworth sided with the PGA Tour instead of the Saudi disruptors and which only now has lasting peace in sight , with Pelley one of the leading lights in the potential truce.

Of course, it is the latter dispute that will colour many people’s assessment of Pelley. Fair enough. It is perfectly valid to see the merits of initially joining up with the £600bn Public Investment Fund.

But there are those of us who have reached the opinion that when PIF governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan came calling to take on the American behemoth, Pelley had a board to convince and that these directors were understandably hesitant to gamble on what remains the whim of a couple of authoritarians at the head of a Kingdom.

The PGA Tour had offered its own ‘strategic alliance” with their European counterparts and that has guaranteed the existence of the previously precarious circuit for at least the next 10 years.

There is not another sport that uses hindsight as much as golf - “should have been a five iron”, “should have chipped it”, “should have picked Keegan Bradley” - but a choice had to be made and after Covid, the extraordinary spread of LIV established this era as the most turbulent in the history of the ancient game.

Even now, it is impossible to be certain that there was, or is, a correct answer.

Maybe Pelley’s legacy in future years will rest on what comes to pass in these negotiations, but what has been unnecessary are the personal attacks he has received. Naturally, most of the vitriol has been spouted via social media, but there have been moments when those who should have known better have weighed in against a character who deserved better.

Pelley is a good man and the overwhelming majority - even within the game - do not realise exactly how good. To me, the measure of his rectitude is measured in his family life.

Hope was born with spina bifida. Pelley and his wife, Joan, adopted her when she was four. They wanted to give the chance of a better life to a young girl who became the beloved sister of their son, Jason. Hope is now 16 and has loved her time in the UK.

A memory persists of Pelley on the first tee at the West Course of Wentworth in 2022 when Hope had her picture taken with One Direction Niall Horan. Hope was thrilled, as was her father. However, in the background, the LIV saga was becoming uglier by the day.

“It’s just business.” That’s how Pelley would react if this was put to him. But it is not business is it? It is golf and even though the game has many things to be ashamed about over the centuries - the sport has long completed the career grand slam of ‘isms’ - the pursuit’s soul is essentially based on family and in these last wretched last few years it has lost sight of this.

Whilst Pelley refused to use the moral argument against the Saudi investment, his PGA Tour counterpart , Jay Monahan, cynically used 9/11 survivors groups to assist his fight against the interlopers. And then he backtracked with barely a blush. Shame on him. Pelley would never have stooped so low. He is an honourable figure.

Granted, everybody and anybody is allowed an opinion of Pelley’s performance in a hotseat that - with deputy Guy Kinnings stepping up - has never been so hot. If they insist, they can continue to claim that under Pelleys’ watch the DP World Tour has become a feeder tour for the PGA Tour, although to my mind that makes little sense.

A central part of Pelley’s job description was to afford his members the opportunities to play their sport and make a living and so, each year, the top 10 players on the DP World Tour’s order or merit not already exempt will earn their PGA Tour cards. European pros have been realising their ambitions of gaining playing privileges on the game’s biggest circuit for decades.

As Rory McIlroy puts it, all Pelley has done is “formalise this pathway”. He has essentially guaranteed this rite of passage.

Many will not agree. They will slam the fact that there are only a few windows in the year - a couple of weeks in the Middle East in January, the Scottish Open in July, and the end-of-season run-in - when the big Euro names are on show. But in the all-enveloping shadow of the PGA Tour and, yes, recently of LIV as well, this has become a grim of inevitability.

The knockers might also venture that Pelley is leaving a sinking ship, except the vessel is water tight and he is going to his dream job in Toronto, where he will run the city’s four main sports franchises including his cherished Maple Leafs.

The Pelley detractors should look at the positives and applaud his calls for the PGA Tour to be more worldly and, at this vital juncture, help form a unified global calendar for the superstars. He has stood up to US insularity, when it would have been easy to acquiesce.

Yet whatever the critics holler about Pelley, nobody should assert that he is not a decent and principled individual who, together with his board, acted with what he believed at the time to be the best interests of the Tour at heart. Pelley shall be remembered in this quarter, at least, with affection and respect.

Zurich classic of new orleans 2024 odds, course history and expert picks to win, share this article.

keith getty world tour

After a long stretch of pressure, high stacks and emotionally draining tournaments, it’s time for a little fun in Louisiana at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. A loaded field of two-man teams has made its way to TPC Louisiana where a $8.9 million purse is up for grabs ($1,286,050 goes to each member of the winning team).

Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay, No. 6 and 8 in the Official World Golf Ranking, respectively, are the betting favorites at +400 and it’s easy to see why. The pair won the event in 2022 and tied for fourth last year. At last week’s RBC Heritage, Cantlay tied for 8th while Schauffele took a share of 22nd.

The highest-ranked player in the field, however, is Rory McIlroy. The world No. 2 is teaming up with fellow Irishman and good buddy Shane Lowry as he’s set to make his tournament debut.

Some of the other notable teams include Will Zalatoris/Sahith Theegala, Collin Morikawa/Kurt Kitayama, and Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick.

Cam Davis (50/1): T-49

Lucas Glover (55/1): T-33

A gross — some might call it disgusting — week, sure. But unless you’re picking Scottie every week, you’re not winning. Simple as that. Good news for all you gamblers out there: Scheffler isn’t in the field this week! We might have a chance to cash a bet.

Tom Hoge / Maverick McNealy (25/1)

keith getty world tour

Tom Hoge tees off on the first hole during the third round of The Players Championship PGA golf tournament Saturday, March 16, 2024 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. (Corey Perrine/Florida Times-Union]

Picking winners at the Zurich is always a little tricky, so I’m relying on the basics this week: how well is each member of the team playing coming into the week.

Sure, Hoge tied for 18th at the RBC Heritage last week, but that was thanks to a quintuple-bogey nine on the par-4 18th. Plus, Hoge tied for 14th at the Texas Children’s Houston Open at the end of March.

In 10 starts this season, McNealy has made nine cuts and has finished inside the top 15 three times in his last six starts.

Billy Horschel / Tyson Alexander (40/1)

Horschel is coming off a win at the opposite field event last week, the Corales Puntacana Championship. Albeit without Alexander as a partner, Horschel has finished 1st (2018), T-13 (2019), T-4 (2021), 2nd (2022) and T-11 (2023) in his last five trips to TPC Louisiana.

Alexander didn’t have his best stuff at the Corales Puntacana, tying for 55th, but he did tie for 14th at the Valero Texas Open a few weeks ago.

Sepp Straka / Brice Garnett (40/1)

2024 Valspar Championship

Since missing the cut at the Valspar Championship in March, Straka has finished T-16 at the Masters and T-12 at the RBC Heritage. He’s trending in the right direction and heading to a golf course that should fit his game.

Garnett has a win already this season at the Puerto Rico Open and is coming off a T-12 performance at the RBC Heritage.

Thomas Detry / Robert McIntyre (45/1)

2024 Texas Children's Houston Open

Thomas Detry of Belgium walks the 12th hole during the first round of the Texas Children’s Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course on March 28, 2024 in Houston, Texas. (Photo by Logan Riely/Getty Images)

Detry tied for 62nd at the Players, but has since gotten hot. He tied for 17th at the Valspar Championship, for second at the Houston Open and for 20th at last week’s RBC Heritage.

MacIntyre hasn’t had his best stuff of late, but he’s due to contend in a PGA Tour event. The Zurich could act as a perfect springboard for the Scot.

Childish Gambino’s New World Tour Teased Ahead of Final Albums: 'Are You Ready?'

Donald Glover has also been previewing new music in recent days, including tracks with Ye and Kid Cudi.

It’s a rollout, dummy .

This weekend, Donald Glover and/or Childish Gambino fans received official word that a new tour is indeed on the horizon. While early details on the trek remain scarce as of this writing, the announcement itself was tucked into the latest edition of GILGA Radio .

"Childish Gambino New World Tour this summer," the announcement said. "Coming to an arena near you. Are you ready?"

CHILDISH GAMBINO SUMMER TOUR YASSSSSS OH MY FUCKING GODDDD pic.twitter.com/5NfDxtltX8 — h❤️‍🔥 (@piscesmoonsong) April 22, 2024

No additional info has yet been made available. However, fans quickly uncovered a website for The New World Tour, complete with a mailing list signup option .

Gambino’s past tours have been undeniably memorable affairs. His I Am Donald run in 2011, for example, saw Glover essentially opening for himself by first performing a standup set, then taking the stage in Gambino form mere moments later.

The This Is America tour in 2018 was widely referred to as possibly being the final batch of Gambino shows. In fact, Gambino himself said as much during the opening stop in Duluth. The moniker itself has also been the subject of frequent retirement speculation, all of which led nicely into this month's official announcement that what's next from Glover and company will indeed mark the final Gambino releases .

First up is Atavista , which fans will note is a final version of 3.15.20 . The last Gambino album will arrive next, per comments from Glover on a previous GILGA Radio livestream, and serves as the soundtrack for a new film titled Bando Stone & The New World.

DG has also been previewing new music as of late, including a collaboration with Ye that's been met with immediate love from fans. This pairing is especially noteworthy for Glover, who often spoke about Ye's influence during interviews earlier into his career. In 2011, the same year he opened for himself on the I Am Donald tour, Gambino put his own spin on the MBDTF track "All of the Lights."

A restaurateur learned the hard way not to mess with Lauren Sánchez

  • NYC restaurateur Keith McNally insulted Lauren Sánchez in an apparently unprompted Instagram post.
  • Celebrities defended Sánchez, an Emmy-winning former news anchor and fiancée of Jeff Bezos.
  • This is not McNally's first controversy. He's also insulted James Corden and Adele on Instagram.

Insider Today

Restaurateur Keith McNally, who's no stranger to controversial Instagram posts , has made a habit out of insulting celebrities. And his latest target is Lauren Sánchez , the fiancée of one of the most powerful people in the world, Jeff Bezos.

But with some major heavyweights in her corner, Sánchez has the upper hand.

McNally, who owns more than a dozen restaurants including NYC's famed Balthazar, wrote a seemingly out-of-the-blue Instagram post attacking Sánchez and Bezos on Monday.

"Does anybody else find Jeff Bezos' New wife — Lauren Sanchez — ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING?" he wrote in the original post, accompanied by a series of pictures of the couple, according to The Cut. "What an ugly and Fucking SMUG - LOOKING couple they make. Is this what having 1000 Billion dollars does to people?"

McNally's post was later edited , though, as of Friday, it read: "What a Bizarre-looking couple. Is this what having 1000 billion dollars does to people?"

But before McNally watered down his insults, Sánchez's reputation proved she was not to be trifled with.

Scores of celebrities rushed to defend Sanchez, also an actress, pilot, philanthropist, and founder of an aerial filming company. Her relationship with Bezos became public after Bezos' divorce from MacKenzie Scott in 2019. Since then, the two have been pictured in the throes of unabashed fun, often aboard Bezos' $500-million yacht , as Sánchez's reputation as a mover-and-shaker attracts a growing rank of diehard fans .

Chrissy Teigen commented on McNally's post, writing, "She's actually incredibly dynamic, accomplished and kind, and everyone who knows her would say the same."

Jessica Seinfeld, who's married to Jerry Seinfeld, wrote in a since-deleted post, "This post is a reflection of your twisted, pitiful, and hideous mind. Lauren has twice the character you do," according to The Cut .

And MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle commented that Sánchez is "accomplished, kind, smart and loved," adding that McNally's post was "mean for no reason," The Cut reported.

Though Sánchez herself has not directly reacted to McNally's insults, she did follow them with a few Instagram Stories calling for kindness.

Related stories

In a Story posted on Tuesday, which is no longer viewable, Sánchez shared a quote that read, "People will love you. People will hate you. And none of it will have anything to do with you," according to The Independent .

Sánchez also shared a quote attributed to fashion designer Rachel Zoe. "Lead with kindness, root for other people, cheer for those you love. Just honestly wish everyone the best," it read, according to The Independent.

Representatives for McNally and Sánchez did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

If his edited-down post is any indication, McNally sure learned the hard way not to mess with Sánchez, or her famous friends.

But, this is not McNally's first rodeo — the restaurant owner has insulted other big names in recent years too, some more warranted than others.

In 2022, McNally had an infamous beef with TV personality and host of "The Late Late Show," James Corden.

McNally accused Corden of being abusive to his staff at Balthazar on two occasions, saying that during one visit to the SoHo hotspot Corden yelled "like crazy" at servers and in another visit, was "nasty" to the restaurant manager. McNally called Corden a "tiny Cretin of a man" on Instagram and said Corden was banned from the restaurant.

But, McNally said that after Corden had called and "apologized profusely," he would be allowed back.

However, the beef didn't stop there. Corden told The New York Times a few days later that he didn't do anything wrong, leading McNally to strike back. In another Instagram screed, McNally mocked Corden's acting skills, insulted his fanbase, and urged him to admit wrongdoing.

The issue appeared to die down after Corden later apologized on-air.

Megastar Adele has also been the subject of McNally's disdain, which in her case, appeared to be unprompted.

In 2023, McNally attacked the singer-songwriter on Instagram , calling her appearance on Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" segment "profoundly inauthentic," "sickening," and "HORSE SHIT."

He wrote that Adele's "make-up was so hideously overdone and fingernails so long she resembled a particularly scary Cruella de Vil."

Our advice to McNally? Maybe stay off Instagram.

Rory McIlroy

McIlroy’s proposed return to boardroom ‘incredibly positive’ for PGA Tour

  • New chief executive of European Tour group welcomes move
  • McIlroy motivated by desire to end split in elite men’s golf

The newly installed chief executive of the European Tour group, Guy Kinnings, has urged the PGA Tour to seize the opportunity provided by Rory McIlroy’s willingness to return to the boardroom to help heal divisions in the game.

The Guardian revealed on Monday that McIlroy will assume roles on the PGA Tour’s policy board and the PGA Tour Enterprises board, subject to a vote on Wednesday. McIlroy is motivated by a strong desire to end the current split in elite men’s golf, where the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Tour are essentially operating independently of each other.

“I would welcome it wholeheartedly,” said Kinnings, who succeeded Keith Pelley this month, of a McIlroy return to a position of power. “It would be an incredibly positive move for the PGA Tour to take but it would be great for everyone.”

Golf’s key constituent parts now involve various tours and the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which backs LIV. McIlroy enjoys positive relations with Yasir al-Rumayyan, the head of the PIF.

“He takes an interest in so many aspects of the sport,” Kinnings added. “I have known him for a very long time and he is so thoughtful. You think you know what is going on in the game and then you listen to Rory and say: ‘Wow, he has put that so well.’

“You want to have people who are ready to apply that kind of knowledge, experience and thinking. He is very well connected with people at the PGA Tour , the DP World Tour – we rely on him hugely – and also the PIF. He is the right person with those connections [and] would be a huge asset.”

Kinnings is adamant that a “united, global” route is necessary for the sport. “I see this as an amazing opportunity,” he added. “We truly have that, with the right people and voices to help shape it. Tiger [Woods] is involved, I am delighted Rory is looking at this. These are the people who should be helping to shape the game they have given so much to.

“I think it needs to be addressed and it needs to be addressed quickly. You need the right people round the table, giving it thought because this is complicated.”

McIlroy would become the only European voice on these PGA Tour committees, which itself is notable. The PGA Tour and DP World Tour have a strategic alliance but there has been general concern about European golf being left behind, with focus on the US. “I was always delighted to have European representation,” said Kinnings. “I think it is far better to have a global view and Rory truly has that.

“It is such an important time and he is passionate about reaching this solution that we all agree is in the best interests of the sport globally. So I think he would be so valuable, so constructive. Personally and on behalf of this tour, I would be delighted if he was back playing a very significant role in the important discussions that are ongoing.”

Zurich Classic 2024: Odds, predictions, picks for PGA Tour team event

The only team event on the PGA Tour is here, as TPC Louisiana takes center stage in hosting the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Davis Riley, Nick Hardy, Zurich Classic of New Orleans

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is unlike any other event on the PGA Tour .

Instead of individual stroke play for 72 holes, this tournament employs a team format that features two players each.

For Thursday’s first round and Saturday’s third round, teams will play Four-ball, which means each player will play their own ball. The best score among the two players is then taken on each hole for the team. Then, for Friday’s second round and Sunday’s final round, teams will compete in foursomes—also known as alternate shot—so only one score is tallied per hole.

Of the 80 teams in the field, the top 33 and ties make it to the weekend. The winning team receives 800 FedEx Cup points—400 to each player—and two-year exemptions on the PGA Tour. However, the victors do not receive invitations to The Masters the following year, nor do they obtain any Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points.

Zurich Classic of New Orleans Odds:

Here are the current odds for the teams to win, per DraftKings:

  • Patrick Cantlay & Xander Schauffele +500
  • Rory McIlroy & Shane Lowry +800
  • Will Zalatoris & Sahith Theegala +1100
  • Collin Morikawa & Kurt Kitayama +1600
  • Tom Hoge & Maverick McNealy +2500
  • Matt Fitzpatrick & Alex Fitzpatrick +2500
  • Taylor Pendrith & Corey Conners +3500
  • Rasmus Højgaard & Nicolai Højgaard +3500
  • Taylor Montgomery & Ben Griffin +4000
  • Sepp Straka & Ben Griffin +4000
  • Nick Taylor & Adam Hadwin +4000
  • Keith Mitchell & Joel Dahmen +4000
  • Brice Garnett & Sepp Straka +4000

Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Zurich Classic of New Orleans Predictions

An all-Irish duo of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry highlight this year’s Zurich Classic in New Orleans. But so do Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele —the only team that comprises two players ranked within the top 10 of the OWGR.

Three sets of brothers will also compete, including the Fitzpatrick’s, who tied for 19th a year ago here. Netflix’s season two of Full Swing underscored their triumphs and tribulations from this event through The Open Championship last season.

The other brothers in this week’s field include the formidable Danish duo of Nicolai and Rasmus Højgaard and Americans Pierceson and Parker Coody. As such, the 2024 Zurich Classic marks the first time in PGA Tour history that two sets of twins will compete in the same event.

Cantlay, Schauffele contend but fall short again

Cantlay and Schauffele arrive in the Bayou as the odds-on favorites, and rightfully so. They form the best team on paper, but Cantlay has not had a terrific 2024 campaign.

The former UCLA Bruin currently ranks 91st on tour in overall strokes gained and 149th in strokes gained, approaching the green this season. He only has two top-10 finishes as well.

Cantlay’s iron play has sorely let him down, but perhaps he discovered something last week at Harbour Town. He tied for 3rd at the RBC Heritage and ranked 5th in strokes gained approaching the green on a golf course that places a premium on iron play. That marked his best finish since the Genesis Invitational , where he held the lead for most of the tournament but ultimately tied for 4th.

Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Meanwhile, Schauffele has had a marvelous season, ranking second behind Scottie Scheffler in overall strokes gained. He tied for 18th at the RBC Heritage, but prior to that, he recorded three straight top 10s, which includes a tie for 2nd at TPC Sawgrass and a solo 8th at Augusta National .

It would not surprise us if this duo went on to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans once again. After all, they did so in 2022 with an incredible score of 29-under par. But these two golfers have struggled to finish the job this year when the light has shined brightest. We envision that narrative persisting, especially since they arrive as heavy favorites with all eyes watching them.

The Winners: A pair of young American stars

We like the team of Sahith Theegala and Will Zalatoris to prevail this week in Louisiana. They arrive with the third-lowest odds at +1100, a solid price for these young stars.

Theegala, fresh off a solo second finish at the RBC Heritage, already has five top 10s this season. He has an innate ability to shape whatever shot he desires and ranks 13th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting. That, coupled with Zalatoris’ pedigree of being a terrific ball-striker, leads us to believe that Theegala and Zalatoris will triumph.

Plus, these two have a great camaraderie with one another, as emphasized by Theegala’s remarks after his solid week in Harbour Town.

“I’m super excited. I just want to win really badly with Will. I’m pumped that he agreed to play with me and know he’s going to carry me a little bit, but we’re just going to have such a good time, and I think our games mesh really well,” Theegala said Monday.

Sahith Theegala, RBC Heritage

“We’re going to give each other some crap if we hit bad shots and give each other plenty of love for the good shots. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I think really just going to try and take it down.”

Interestingly, Theegala and Zalatoris have each won once before on the PGA Tour. Theegala’s maiden victory came at the Fortinet Championship last September, while Zalatoris prevailed for the first time in August 2022 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

They know what it takes to win. But the circumstances change somewhat this week, as these players enter unfamiliar territory playing on a team professionally. Neither has competed in the Presidents Cup or Ryder Cup , but Zalatoris did compete in the 2017 Walker Cup as an amateur at the Los Angeles Country Club .

Still, these two entertaining Americans will rely on each other’s strengths to win the Zurich Classic.

About Keith & Kristyn Getty

Keith and Kristyn Getty are hymn writers, GRAMMY®-nominated artists and the founding leaders of the Getty Music organization who hail from Northern Ireland. Their greatest musical passion is writing and championing great hymns of the church.

keith getty world tour

Their songwriting journey began in 2000 when Keith wrote the tune for “In Christ Alone” on the back of a Northern Ireland Electricity bill. Many songs, albums, and—most importantly—four daughters later, they still wake up each morning amazed that they get to spend their days crafting melodies and words to encourage and inspire the people of God.

Keith and Kristyn love fostering creative collaborations. They established Getty Music with a view to the year 2050 in the hope that individuals, families, and churches would celebrate the beauty of Christ-centered hymnody. Their hymn writing team includes a growing array of contributors who are as committed to family and the local church as they are to the craft of songwriting. Their group’s songs include 38 of the top 500 titles sung in US/UK churches, such as “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death,” “His Mercy Is More,” “He Will Hold Me Fast,” “Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery,” “Power of the Cross,” “Speak O Lord,” and “My Worth Is Not in What I Own.” Their original publishers, Integrity Music, estimate that more than 100 million people around the globe sing this music every year in a diverse array of contexts. Their hymns uniquely cross genres, finding expression in styles from contemporary to classical as well as folk and global. The Getty Music team is currently developing the Sing! Hymnal , slated to be released in 2025 in partnership with Crossway.

Keith and Kristyn enjoy filling their lives with songs of the Lord, whether at home with their daughters, in the sanctuary of their local church, or all of the places around the world they’ve had the privilege to visit—from Carnegie Hall to the Grand Ole Opry House, the Kennedy Center to Sydney Opera House, with performances for Presidents, Prime Ministers, and television specials on PBS, CBS, BBC, and TBN in between! They host the annual Sing! Conference in Nashville, TN (named after their 2017 book), and are now particularly excited to share Sing! events on each continent, as well as to help lead music at the Fourth Lausanne Congress in South Korea.

According to Christianity Today , Keith and Kristyn have “changed the way evangelicals worship.” The hymn “In Christ Alone,” co-written by Stuart Townend, has received numerous accolades, from being named the second most beloved hymn in the UK by the BBC to being selected as one of the top five hymns of all time by the British Hymn Society. Keith was the first contemporary Christian musician to be awarded Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2018 for his contributions to music and hymnody. Their other acknowledgments include one GRAMMY® nomination, one mainstream Billboard #1, two GMA awards (with 16 nominations), three honorary doctorates, and they have been named Fellows of the Royal School of Church Music.

The Gettys’ hymns have been recorded by a vast array of artists from Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, and Vince Gill to Broadway’s Heather Headley, South African vocal group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, choirs of every conceivable flavor, and a range of gospel performers including Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, hip-hop artist Trip Lee, and R&B singer Blessing Offor.

Kristyn’s creativity has also led to wider opportunities such as recording the entire ESV Bible as an audio version for Crossway and appearances in films including Pilgrim’s Progress , Sabina , and the international edition of Leroy and Stitch . She is delighted to be releasing several children’s books in the upcoming years.

Keith and Kristyn are especially excited about the Getty Music Foundation , a new non-profit organization with a mission to educate hymn writers and spur biblical worship in under-resourced areas of the globe.

Together with their four daughters, Keith and Kristyn live between Northern Ireland and Nashville.

2024 Zurich Classic predictions, expert picks, odds, golf format, field rankings, best bets at TPC Louisiana

The annual team-style event takes center stage on the pga tour calendar this week down in louisiana.

patrick-cantlay-xander-schauffele-2024-genesis-invitational-g.jpg

Grab your partner! The 2024 Zurich Classic takes its annual place on the calendar welcoming Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup stars for a team-style event at TPC Louisiana. Hosting 80 teams of two players, the seventh edition of the team version of the Zurich Classic will see competitors play four-ball in Rounds 1 and 3 and foursomes in Rounds 2 and 4.

Few duos have been more effective together than Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay. Winners of this event in 2022, Cantlay and Schauffele used their triumph at the Zurich Classic as a springboard for a very successful summer. With Scottie Scheffler running the golf world (and not in the field this week), the two will hope for more of the same following a strong spell of form from both.

The Americans are undoubtedly the favorites to win the Zurich Classic for the second time in three years, but there are newcomers lurking. Most notable is the European team of Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy -- who dished Cantlay and Schauffele their first loss ever together in foursomes this past fall at the Ryder Cup. They'll now lean on Lowry for both of their first appearances in this tournament.

McIlroy hasn't been his usual self so far in 2024, but this was around the time he started to kick things into high gear a season ago. Meanwhile, Lowry continues to strike his irons beautifully and still searches for his first PGA Tour victory in nearly a decade.

Others in the field include Will Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala, who will be playing alongside each other for the first time. Las Vegas residents Collin Morikawa and Kurt Kitayama will team up, as will Canadian pairs in Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor in addition to Corey Conners and Taylor Pendrith.

2024 Zurich Classic schedule

Dates:  April 25-28 |  Location:  TPC Louisiana — Avondale, Louisiana  Par:  72 |  Yardage:  7,425 |  Purse:  $8,900,000

The Zurich Classic will employ an alternating round of four-ball and foursomes. Teams will begin in the four-ball format in Round 1 and utilize it again in Round 3 while foursomes — commonly referred to as alternate shot — will be used in Rounds 2 and 4.

  • Four-ball:  Players from each team will play their own ball throughout the round with the best score between the two being used for each hole. If Schauffele makes par on No. 1 and Cantlay makes birdie, the team will record a birdie.
  • Foursome:  Before the round begins, teams will determine which member will tee off on which holes. One player will be designated to strike the first tee shot on odd holes while the other will begin the even holes. If Cantlay strikes the tee shot on No. 1, Schauffele will take on the approach with Cantlay then hitting the third. This alternating will continue until the ball is holed. Even if Schauffele is the last to strike a shot on No. 1, he will hit the tee shot on the second hole in this instance.

2024 Zurich Classic field, odds

  • Patrick Cantlay/Xander Schauffele (5-1)
  • Rory McIlroy/Shane Lowry (7-1): This week will mark McIlroy's fourth straight tournament and his 11th of the year. The world No. 2 continues to stay active and will need to figure something out in his game alongside Lowry. McIlroy has been just average -- by his standards -- on the PGA Tour with his best result coming in the form of a distant third at the Texas Open. His iron play hasn't been great, but luckily that has been the area where Lowry has thrived. With McIlroy's potent driver and Lowry's sharp approach play, the two have a path to victory. But issues arrive when the two make their way to the green as neither have been consistent on or around the putting surface.
  • Will Zalatoris/Sahith Theegala (10-1): Zalatoris notched a top five in this event alongside Davis Riley in 2022 while Sahith Theegala claimed a top 25 a year ago with Justin Suh. The two will now team up, and they may be the perfect pair. Theegala has turned into one of the best players in the game as he rolls the rock with the best of them and has transformed a weakness with the driver into a significant strength. Meanwhile, Zalatoris continues to be rock steady in the ball-striking department and is moving in the right direction with the putter.
  • Collin Morikawa/Kurt Kitayama (16-1)
  • Rasmus Hojgaard/Nicolai Hojgaard (22-1)
  • Tom Hoge/Maverick McNealy (25-1)
  • Matt Fitzpatrick/Alex Fitzpatrick (25-1): The brother duo is back again after finishing T23 in their debut appearance in 2023. Alex has quietly been playing some really solid golf of late with a top 25 in the Dominican Republic last week and a number of other quality results on the DP World Tour. The older Fitzpatrick has looked great, too, ever since finishing solo fifth at the Players Championship. They should improve on their result from a year ago.
  • Taylor Pendrith/Corey Conners (28-1)
  • Taylor Montgomery/Ben Griffin (40-1)
  • Sepp Straka/Brice Garnett (40-1): This squad could win this event or they could finish dead last. Garnett is fresh off a win at the Puerto Rico Open and a top-20 finish at last week's RBC Heritage. In that same event, Straka was featured alongside Scheffler in the final round and ultimately settled for a T5 finish. It marked Straka's third quality outing in his last four as his iron play is starting to peak and his putter is following suit. The bad news is neither have seen the weekend at this team event.
  • Nick Taylor/Adam Hadwin (40-1)
  • Keith Mitchell/Joel Dahmen (40-1)
