MORE: Chicago’s Lil Durk is not only one of the forefathers of Chicago’s drill movement that influenced a generation of rappers across the world, he’s also one of rap’s current stars. 2020 saw Durk release two gold-certified albums – Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 and The Voice – which both peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced 12 Billboard Hot 100 entries. In 2021, Durk released his first ever chart-topping album, The Voice Of The Heroes with Lil Baby, which earned him a BET Hip-Hop Award for Best Rap Duo. Thanks in part to his prolific run of high-profile collaborations, including songs with Drake, Kanye West, and the 3x-platinum “Back in Blood” with Pooh Sheisty, Durk earned the honor of having the most Billboard Hot 100 chart entries in 2021 with 42. In addition to his own releases, Durk has experienced success through his Only The Family label venture, which catapulted the late King Von to mainstream recognition shortly before his untimely passing. The 2021 OTF compilation Loyal Bros debuted #12 on the Billboard 200 chart.
About OTF: Founded by Lil Durk, Only The Family is one of rap’s most respected labels and most impressive collections of talent. Originally based in Chicago, the label earned a reputation for cultivating some of the city’s most vital talents, with members like Booka600, Memo600, and the late great King Von. With a roster that reflects label boss Durk’s signature combination of raw lyricism and emotional songwriting, OTF has released four label compilation mixtapes, including 2019’s Family Over Everything and last year’s Loyal Bros, which debuted at #12 on the Billboard charts and spawned the gold-certified “Hellcats and Trackhawks.”

Lil Durk Announces the 7220 Tour, Shares Dates
Just three months after wrapping the Back Outside Tour with Lil Baby, Lil Durk has announced the 7220 Tour is kicking off in April and running for 17 dates.

Just a few months after wrapping the Back Outside Tour with Lil Baby , Lil Durk is getting ready to hit the road again.
The Chicago rapper announced on Wednesday a North American tour in support of his upcoming album 7220 . Hosted by Live Nation, the 7220 Tour will kick off April 8 in Phoenix, making stops in L.A., Houston, Miami, Atlanta, and New York, before wrapping on May 2 in his hometown. Check out the venues and dates for Durk’s 17-show tour below.

The announcement arrives just two months after Durk revealed the title for his seventh studio album in a post on Instagram. “ 7220 coming soon,” he wrote, posting a photo of a whiteboard inside his studio which was covered with a hidden tracklist. The board also featured a message that read, “Anthems and no skips.”
If his recent tour with Lil Baby is any indication, Durkio stands to make a nice profit on his upcoming tour. Back in October, Durk revealed that the pair sold 250,000 tickets and earned $15 million off the nationwide trek. Heading into 2022, Durk looks to maintain the momentum he established in 2021, which saw him tie Taylor Swift with the most Billboard Hot 100 hits of the year with 41 songs.

7220 (Deluxe)
When Lil Durk dropped the first iteration of 7220 in March 2022, the album played as a victory lap of sorts. Over the course of some 10 years, Durk had gone from a promising young talent within Chicago’s drill music scene to one of contemporary hip-hop’s most beloved MCs, someone who’d miraculously grown his fanbase with every mixtape, album and even guest verse. 7220 was the most anticipated release of his career, and he rewarded fans new and old with some of his most personal raps to date. “7220, that’s where I went through it,” Durk says on the album’s “Headtaps”. “Like my first life experience, know what I mean?” 7220 is named for the address of his beloved grandmother’s home. Within it, Durk talks about the time he wished he could watch cartoons with his children when he was locked up and how news of a cousin’s passing once sent him into a state of disbelief. He mentions the real-life home invasion he suffered on “Shootout @ My Crib” and lives out a revenge fantasy for friend and collaborator King Von on “AHHH HA”. With the deluxe version, though, Durk’s moved away from the highly specific stories of the original and into another zone with which he’s intimately familiar: lifestyle music. 7220 (Deluxe) boasts 13 new tracks, and within them are even more insights into how Durk is living. And just like the rest of us, his life is full of contradictions. He’ll confess that being rich and famous isn’t all it’s cracked up to be on “So What”, but he’s hyper-aware of the differences between himself and his haters on “Huuuh”. He hangs around bad hombres on “Burglars & Murderers”, but he’s broken up about the holes street violence has left in his life on “Hearing Sirens”. He’s brutally honest about what lovers can and cannot expect from him on “IYKYK”, but his heart bleeds for young women in the struggle on “Selling Lashes”. It wouldn’t have taken this latest edition of 7220 for most fans to know that Lil Durk contains multitudes, but with it he’s done something not even diehards could have foreseen. He’s revealed even more about the most famous person to have called Chicago’s 7220 S. Halsted home.

Lil Durk first teased 7220 on social media last November, although has yet to share any additional details like a tracklist, features, or release date. 7220 will mark Durk’s first solo effort since his 2020 album, The Voice , although last June he and Lil Baby released a collaborative album, The Voice of the Heroes .
The Chicago rapper also stayed busy last year with a run of singles and collaborations: He popped up on songs with Kanye West , H.E.R. , Summer Walker , and DJ Khaled , while also dropping solo tracks like “Lion Eyes,” “Pissed Me Off,” and “Love You Too” with Kehlani. Most notably, back in November Durk released “Broadway Girls,” a collaboration with Morgan Wallen, which marked the country artist’s first major release since he was caught on video using a racist slur in early 2021.
