1. amruthadhara falls.

It is a beautiful waterfall located in the middle of Rajahmundry and badhrachalam, approximately 15 kilometers far from the maredumilli bus stop. It’s a must-visit place in maredumilli.

You need to take a decent hike/climb almost a kilometer from the entrance gate, and it may take more than 1 hour to reach the waterfalls.

It would be best if you were very careful while trekking because the trekking path is slippery. And this place is suitable for young tourists only.

To reach the waterfall, you need to trek natural rocks and steps constructed by tourism department Andhra Pradesh it may take 20 to 30 minutes.

Maredumilli Eco Tourism – East Godavari

Maredumilli Eco Tourism Area is managed by the local indigenous tribal community of Valamuru, Somireddypalem, and Valmeekipeta Vana Samrakshana Samithi people with of Andhra Pradesh Forest Department. It provides a unique opportunity to the native ethnic community to spread the message of conservation to the masses.

This area has many waterfalls and bubbling streams gushing out and flowing over the undulating rocks in the deep woods.

Nandanavanam: It is an Ethno Medical Awareness Centre developed to make the public aware of medicinal plants,  brought from Western ghats and Orissa also.

Coffee and Pepper plantations: APFDC coffee and pepper plantations in the vicinity of Nandanavanam.

Vali Sugriva Medicinal plants conversation Area: 211 plant species including medicinal and rare plants were identified in this area.

Karthika Vanam: This particular place is planted with religious species. Species like Neem, Raavi, Amla, Matri, Maredu are planted in blocks in Kartheeka Vanam. Local species which are having medicinal value were also planted here. Adjoining this area is “Karthika Vanam” with plenty of Maredu and Amla trees.

Madanakunj – Vihara Sthal: Tiger, Panther, Bison, Spotted Deer, and Mouse deer are in-habiting the area. Wild bear, Mouse deer, Bison, Ren jungle fowl, Peacocks, beautiful birds are common. Hill Hyna, Hornbill, Kingfisher, Golder Driole are commonly seen. Varieties of butterflies are also can be seen.

Jungle Star Camp Site: It is Located adjoining the Valamuru river with the stream on 3 sides overlooking the Vali-Sugriva Konda which is believed to be the battleground of Vali – Sugriva during the Ramayana period.

Rampa Waterfall: Rampachodavaram Falls/Rampa Waterfall, is down from a height of about 50 feet, the only coastal fall in Andhra Pradesh. Water remains throughout the year in this waterfall and the downstream and is located in a dense jungle and can be accessed by jeeps. The Maredumilli Eco Tourism drive through the dense jungle is an exhilarating experience. The road and the area up to the waterfall are maintained by local villagers. There is a small trek to reach the waterfall from the entrance. While climbing the flowing water stream will be at your right and there are small waterfalls and will take a 20-minute climb to reach the main waterfall.

Ancient Shiva Temple named Sri Neelakanteswara temple near the Rampachodavaram waterfalls. A dance festival is organized every year on Shivratri day, where tribal dance Mela is attractive. During this dance, the costumes used by the dancers are very attractive.

Gudisa Hill Station :

Maredumilli and Gudisa are separated by a single stretch of road that is bordered by woods and little streams of water on both sides. It is easy to ride on the road because it is in good condition. Gudisa Hill Ghat Road and another 6 km after pusiwada Village make up the final 12 km, neither of which will be easy.

There are a few steps you must do if you intend to camp in the gudisa in order to enhance your experience. To get a glimpse of the sunset, try to arrive there by 4 PM. Due to its distant location, there are no restaurants or businesses in the area. However, there was a little store before the Gudisa Hill Ghat Road where you could purchase chocolate, cookies, water, cool drinks, and cigarettes.

As there is nothing on top, you must bring your own food and water. Take some firewood from the Maredumilli Market before beginning your journey to Gudisa for the night’s fire camp. If you have camping tents, no problem. If not, you may rent tents from the stores in Maredumilli. Jalatharangini Waterfalls :

Jalatharangini is a beautiful waterfall located on Rajahmundry-Bhadrachalam Highway near Maredumilli village of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, 7 km from Maredumilli Bus Stand. It is a seasonal waterfall and one of Maredumilli’s must-see attractions. The Jalatharangini Waterfalls are a cascade of flowing water surrounded by rocks and a forest. This waterfall has several levels.

This little waterfall bursts into life during the monsoon and is a nature lover’s paradise.

One can take a bath under the falls because the water is so clear. It takes a while to walk the 150 m from the entry point to the falls. The hiking trail is slick and moderately difficult. Local tribes are responsible for maintaining the waterfall, and they do so by constructing steps and laying out an accessible jungle route with side barricade supports. The automobiles have plenty of parking space.

Amruthadhara Waterfalls:

Amruthadhara is a stunning waterfall located on the Rajahmundry-Bhadrachalam Highway close to Maredumilli in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district, 15 kilometers from Maredumilli Bus Stand. Manyam Viewpoint:

Manyam Viewpoint, a lookout point on the Rajahmundry – Bhadrachalam Highway close to Maredumilli in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district, is located 13 kilometers from Maredumilli Bus Stand. It is one of the top destinations in Maredumilli since it is situated between the waterfalls of Amruthadhara and Jalatarangini. From here, visitors may see the countryside and the stunning valleys of Maredumilli in its entirety.

It is one of Maredumilli’s most visited attractions and one of Andhra Pradesh’s top waterfalls. The waterfall, also called Rampachodavaram Falls, cascades down from a height of roughly 50 feet.

This is Andhra Pradesh’s sole coastal fall, and it is located close to the village of Rampachodavaram. It is incredibly reviving to swim in this waterfall that is surrounded by dense vegetation. The project’s goals are to offer drinking water to 32 villages in the Rampachodavaram & Gangavaram Mandals of the East Godavari district as well as irrigation amenities for an area of 11,526 acres of tribal ayacut. The pine and coniferous trees that surround the reservoir are abundant. A small island and underwater trees can be seen in the reservoir, which has huge mountains in the background. The captivating Mothugudem waterfalls are located in Polluru village in Chinturu Mandal of Khammam district in Telangana, seven kilometers from Mothugudem, thirty-six kilometers from Chinturu, sixty-five kilometers from Maredumilli, and one hundred and two kilometers from Bhadrachalam.

It is one of the well-liked tourist destinations close to Maredumilli and is also known as Mothugudem Falls. The waterfall, often referred to as Thadikevagu Falls, is located in Bhadrachalam’s Lakkavaram forest range. There are multiple streams running in three phases at this lovely waterfall. Visitors from near and far flock there in droves, especially on weekends. A soak at these falls is highly reviving because of the clean water. Avoid getting in the water during the monsoon when the falls are in full flood. A hike through the nearby woodland is another option.

The falls are not directly accessible by public transit. In order to go to this fantastic location, tourists must make their own arrangements. From Bhadrachalam or Maredumilli, take the bus to Mothugudem, and then get off at Chinturu. A mud road leads from the entrance to the falls. There are only extremely limited amenities in the region, so bring food if you go. There isn’t any lodging close to the falls. It will take 1 hour to visit the falls. The trekking path is very slippery and strenuous. The waterfall is maintained by local tribes and they maintain the area by making steps and preparing easy Jungle path with side barricade supports. There is ample space for parking the vehicles.

The area has only very basic facilities so if you are visiting better pack some food. There is no accommodation available near the falls. The Maredumilli Forests of East Godavari District are having rich biodiversity and the area is having semi evergreen forests with undulating terrain, which forms part of the Eastern Ghats.T he Maredumilli Community Conservation & Eco Tourism Area is situated on Maredumilli – Bhadrachalam road, nearly 4 Km. away from Maredumilli village. The area is having many streams flowing over the undulating rocks in the deep woods and any visitor feel thrilling experience in the Nature.

The Eco-tourism project is managed by the local indigenous tribal community of Valamuru, Somireddypalem and Valmeekipeta Vana Samrkshana Samithi people with the active support of Andhra Pradesh Forest Department. The project was successfully completed in a short span of time due to the commitment of the highly motivated community participation coupled with the timely financial assistance from the World Bank aided Andhra Pradesh Community Forest Management Project. This also provided unique opportunity to the native ethnic community to spread the message of conservation to the masses.The jungle star campsite is located adjoining the Valamuru river with the stream flowing on 3 sides overlooking the Vali-Sugriva Konda which is believed to be the battle ground of the Vali-Sugriva during the Ramayana period. The remarkable variation of the battleground with the presence of grass land, encircled by forests on the other hillocks makes the visitor to pay attention on the legendary story.

As a part of Tourism Development Maredumilli Forest Rest House was constructed in the year 1914, the Forest Rest House is in Maredumilli Village with all facilities. The name of the rest house is Abhayaranya Forest Rest House. Suits are available here for stay of Tourists.
