Required Documents for the Morocco e-Visa

You only need a few basic items to apply for the online visa. Before you can start the application process you’ll need to have the following:

  • Residency card or visa (if applicable)
  • Photograph of applicant
  • Email address
  • Debit or credit card

Your passport must meet the requirements mentioned below . You will also need your residency card or visa for your application, unless your passport is from Azerbaijan, India, Israel, Jordan, Guatemala, or Thailand.

Your email address must be an active account which you check regularly. All updates are sent to this address, including your approved e-Visa.

You will need a debit or credit card which is authorized for online payments to pay the Morocco e-Visa processing fee. This is the final stage of the application process.

Passport, visa, and residence permit requirements for a Morocco e-Visa

Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months from the date you intend to enter Morocco.

If you’re applying with a residence permit from an eligible country, it must be valid for at least 180 days .

If you have a visa from an eligible country, it must be valid for at least 90 days from the date you intend to arrive in Morocco.

Providing digital copies of your documents

Thanks to the 100% online application process, you do not need to present any paper copies of your documents to apply for the Morocco e-Visa.

All you need to provide is an image or scan of your documents when you complete the online form. It is not necessary to present the original document in person at a government office.

Dubai: If you are a traveller at heart, there is good news! UAE residents can now experience the magic of Morocco with the newly launched eVisa, which allows you to skip the embassy visit and explore a land brimming with diverse experiences, from bustling markets to serene landscapes.

On March 4, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Abu Dhabi officially announced the availability of eVisas to Morocco for residents of the UAE.

Individuals holding a valid Emirates ID card with a minimum of 180 days of residency will be eligible for the eVisa. The eVisa will be valid for 180 days from the date of issuance and allow for a single entry for a short stay of up to 30 days within the Moroccan territory.

Here’s how you can apply for it.

Documents required

• Copy of your UAE residence visa, with the visa valid for more than 180 days. • Passport copy, with your passport valid for more than 90 days. • Passport sized photograph.

How to apply for eVisa

• Visit: acces-maroc.ma • You will see a widget on the home page titled: ‘Do I need a visa to enter morocco?’, where you can select your nationality, country of residence, passport type, purpose of trip and any other additional visas you may have. For example, a US or UK visa, or a Schengen visa. • Type in your email address and confirm it. Then select the captcha code and click on ‘Enter’. • You will receive an email with a link that you are required to click on to continue with your application. • It will take you to an application form, where you would need to fill in the following details: 1. Date of birth 2. Type of passport 3. Purpose of trip (Select from tourism, business, conference, cultural or sporting events, event, family reunification, medical stay or other).

• Select if you have any additional visas from Australia, Canada, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Schengen, UK or US. • Click on ‘next’. • Under travel conditions, you will be required to check all the travel conditions that you need to meet. These are: - I am traveling for tourism purposes. - I have a return ticket. - I have hotel reservation or an invitation. - I have sufficient financial means – 70 EUR (Dh279.09) per day minimum. - I have a valid passport when leaving Morocco. - I certify the accuracy of the information provided, in case of error, my request will be refused.

• Enter your personal details: - Family Name - First name - Date of Birth - Place of Birth - Mobile number - Email address - Nationality/Country Citizenship - Occupation/Job - Passport type - Passport Number - Issued by - Date of Issue - Expiry Date

• Click on ‘next’. • Select the expected expected date to arrive and to leave Morocco. • Next, upload your passport sized photograph and passport copy and click on ‘Save’. • You will then be informed about your eVisa validity if you apply for it right now. The visa is valid for six months, for a single entry and a stay of 30 days maximum. • You will then be asked to review the details of your eVisa application before the request is validated. • At this stage, you can enter another ‘beneficiary’, which could be family members or friends travelling with you. If you do select this option, repeat the process listed above for the second beneficiary as well. • Once you confirm the application, you will then be asked to proceed to the payment portal.

• You will have two options to receive the eVisa: - Standard – 770 MAD (Moroccan Dirham) ( Dh281.67 ) Get your visa within an average of three business days , but it may take longer if additional verification is required. - Express – 1,100 MAD (Moroccan Dirham) ( Dh402.39 ) Get your visa within an average of one business day , but it may take longer if additional verification is required. • Once you make the payment, you will get an application number, which you can use to track your application. Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can apply for the Moroccan e-visa:

Head to the official website – https://www.acces-maroc.ma/ and click on 'Apply for evisa'.

A new tab will open, asking you to fill out your email address for verification.

After you click 'Enter', a dialogue box will pop up asking you to check your email in order to proceed with the application.

In your email, you will receive a link to click, which will direct you to the next page.

This is the second step of the application form – here you will be required to fill out some basic details.

As shown in the image below, the applicant will be asked to fill their nationality, country of residence, date of birth and document type, among others.

After you verify your information is correct and fill out all the blanks, you will be directed to the next step.

The next step is to select the travel conditions that you meet. Unless you satisfy all the conditions mentioned, you will not be able to proceed to the next step.

There are two kinds of e-visas you can apply for:

The Moroccan Embassy in Abu Dhabi announced on March 4 that individuals with a valid Emirates ID card, including residents, can now apply for an electronic visa.

The announcement explained that the new provision aims to streamline the visa application process for those intending to travel to Morocco.

The change in application channels comes with reduced processing times as well. The express single-entry, 180 day visa, will be processed within one business day.

Here are the details:

eVisa fees for Morocco

There are two kinds of e-visas you can apply for:

  • Standard – Dhs282.31

This single entry   visa is valid for up to 180 days. Visa holders can stay in the country for up to 30 days. This visa can take up to 3 business days to process.

  • Express – Dhs403.29

This single entry   visa is also valid for a maximum of 180 days. Visa holders can stay in the country for up to 30 days. This visa will be processed in one business day.

Visa fees are non-refundable.

Visa conditions

The eVisa will be granted if the following conditions are met by the applicant:

  • Travelling for tourism purposes
  • Return ticket
  • Hotel reservation or an invitation
  • Sufficient financial funds to cover stay (Minimum: EUR70 per day )
  • Passport validity for duration of stay in Morocco

Morocco tourist visa requirements

01. Passport: Home country passport with a minimum of six months validity. The new passport should have a minimum of 3 blank pages and also should submit the old passport if any.

02. Application Form: Duly filled application form issued by the Embassy of Morocco. Fully concluded in English or Greek and signed and dated by the applicant himself ( signed by both parents in case of minors, below the age of 18)

03. Valid UAE Residency: Emirates ID and Copy of the stamped residency visa (valid at least three months from the date of expiry of the requested visa / intended end of the journey)

04. Photocopies:

  • 1 passport copy of pages containing personal data
  • 1 copy of the signature page (signed by the passport holder
  • 1 copy of UAE residence permit/visa
  • Copies of previous Schengen visa if any
  • For GCC Nationals- Copy of valid Emirates ID card

05. Personal Photograph: 2 recent colour photographs

  • Two identical photos. Not older than six months.
  • Photo size: 35x45mm.
  • In colour. No black and white
  • The Head should take 70-80% of the photo.
  • Brightly coloured background. Light grey is suggested. No patterns.
  • Facing the camera
  • Neutral face expression
  • Avoid uniforms or colours matching the background.

06. Medical Insurance- Overseas Travel Insurance

Requirements: Your insurance should be valid for the entire period of the requested visa and all Schengen countries. Minimum coverage 30,000 € (or equal amount USD) and repatriation. (Medical insurances of credit cards are not accepted).

07. Letter from local employer/sponsor (NOL)-NOC Letter from the Employer : The NOC should include name, postal address and telephone number of sponsor/company, with details about applicant’s working position, starting date of employment and salary and expected date to resume duties and purpose of travel. In the case of a partner, NOC should be obtained from other partners and Also valid trade license copy for the investor/partner of the company should be attached with the NOC.

In case of dependents- Sponsors valid passport copy and UAE residence visa to be attached with the cover letter.

If minors below the age of 18 (if applicable) – establishing legal parenthood: Copy of either birth certificate/proof of adoption/custody decree, if parents are divorced / death certificate of parent (The Spanish Consulate may request to submit the original document at a later stage).

Documents, need to be translated into English. “Letter of consent” (Authorization of Minors) from parents, including passport copies and valid UAE residence visa copies of both parents/ legal guardians in case the children are travelling with others.

08. Travel Documents:

  • Confirmed return flight tickets
  • Hotel Reservation
  • Day wise travel plan (Itinerary)

09. Proof of sufficient financial means:

  • Three months original stamped and signed personal bank statement showing regular income, no deposits. Company owners can submit the bank statement ofthe company with a letter from the bank proving he is a signatory on this bank account.
  • Bank statements should not be “credit card statements”. If not enough balance on the current account, The applicant can also submit the personal saving account (cash is not accepted as proof of funds).
  • For retired persons: proof of pension or other regular income.
  • Please highlight your regular income (salary, pension, etc…) on the bank statement.

10. Supporting Documents Needed for Greece Tourist Visa Application from Dubai

  • If a company owner; Company Trade License Copy and if it is a partnership, NOC from the partner is also needed.
  • If Student: School / College / Institute ID Card
  • If Retired: Proof of retirement like pension book, statement etc.
  • If Minor: Birth Certificate; No Objection Certificate from the parent’s non-accompanying parent
  • If Visiting friend or relative: Invitation letter; Inviter’s ID proof like Passport or Resident Permit, Address proof like any Electricity bill, any Utility bill etc.
  • If Sponsored: Sponsorship letter; Sponsor’s national ID proof or Resident permit, Updated bank statement of last 6 months,
  • For Business Visa: Invitation letter from host Company stating the purpose of the trip, business details etc.

Do I need a visa for the UAE?

UAE visa on arrival

Preapproved uae visas, prearranged uae visas, sponsoring someone to visit the uae, contact information, 30-day visit eligibility.

If you are a passport holder of the below country or territory, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International and proceed to immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge.

90-day visit eligibility

If you are a passport holder of one of the below countries or territories, your passport will be stamped with a multiple entry 90-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 90 days in total. Citizens of the below European countries are also entitled to apply for a pre-arranged visit visa if their 90-day visa on arrival has been fully utilized.

180-day visit eligibility

If you hold a Mexican passport you’re eligible for a multiple entry 180-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 180 days in total.

Dubai immigration procedures

As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International are now conducting random eye screening for visitors to Dubai.

Visitors asked to proceed for eye screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies - payable only in AED.

Important information

Before you travel to the UAE, please check your visa requirements and make sure you have a valid visa if needed, or if your passport needs to be valid for a minimum period. Holders of non-standard passports and travel documents may also have different entry requirements: find out if you need to apply for a visa and other passport requirements.

As of 29 April 2016, GCC residence permit holders will need to apply for a UAE visa before arriving in Dubai.

New visit entry permit to the UAE for Indian nationals

From 7 January 2024, eligible Indian nationals with a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a single entry, 14-day visa on arrival. A fee of USD 63 applies.

  • Indian passport holder with USA green card valid for a minimum of six months
  • Indian passport holder with UK residence card valid for a minimum of six months

How and where to apply for a pre-approved UAE visa

Eligible Indian nationals can apply for their UAE entry permit on emirates.com through Manage your booking .

Required documents

  • Colour photograph of applicant
  • Colour copy of applicant's passport. The passport must be valid for at least six months
  • The original application form (available at all Emirates ticketing offices) can be accessed in Arabic or English, depending on the applicant’s nationality. Download the English  or Arabic  application form
  • Copy of the Emirates ticket
  • Proof of relationship if applying for family member - birth certificate, marriage certificate and family book
  • All Documents to be submitted as hard copy

Rules and conditions

  • Visa fees must be paid upon application.
  • Additional visa processing fees apply.
  • The passenger must travel to and from Dubai on Emirates or codeshare flights only.
  • Visa fees are non-refundable.
  • The ticket is non-refundable if the visa has been issued and utilized.
  • Visa processing time is approximately 3 to 4 working days.
  • Entry into the UAE is subject to immigration approval.
  • All visas are valid to enter Dubai for 60 days from the date of issue, except the 96-hour and 48-hour visas, which are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

  • 48-hour and 96-hour transit visas are valid for travel with Emirates tickets outbound from Dubai. You can only apply for a transit visa online or at the Emirates Commercial Visa APT office at Dubai International airport Terminal 3.

Nationals of countries requiring a prearranged UAE visa can now apply and pay for their visas online through emirates.com.

If you are travelling to or stopping over in Dubai with Emirates, you can submit an application and receive your UAE visa entirely online – without having to submit your passport for stamping. You can apply for your UAE visa through our Manage your booking after you book your Emirates flight. VFS processing fees apply. For more information please visit VFS Global.

The online visa application service is available for residents and nationals of many countries around the world. Find out if you can apply for a UAE visa. Applicants' passports must have at least six months' validity as of their date of travel to Dubai, and must be machine readable passports – handwritten passports are not accepted.

This service is only available to passengers with a confirmed Emirates booking where an Emirates ticket has already been issued and the flight itinerary already includes the desired time in Dubai. The itinerary into and out of Dubai should be on one ticket (PNR), and these flights must be Emirates flights. Note that any itineraries including any flights to or from Dubai on other carriers are not eligible for the online visa service.

A minimum of four international working days prior to arrival in Dubai is required, however Emirates does recommend that online applications are made as early as possible.

Tourist visa

A tourist visa is for those who are not eligible for  visa on arrival  or a  visa-free entry  to the UAE. You can apply for a tourist visa through airlines, hotels and travel agents. Read about the eligibility criteria and the steps to apply.

Multiple entry 5-year tourist visa

Who is a tourist visa for, who can apply for your tourist visa, related eservices.

The multiple entry 5-year tourist visa enables tourists to enter the UAE multiple times on self-sponsorship and remain in the country for 90 days on each visit, and can be extended for further 90 days. This type of tourist visa can be issued for all nationalities.

To obtain this visa, the applicant must have:

  • a bank balance of 4,000 USD or its equivalent in foreign currencies during the last six months
  • a valid health insurance policy applicable in the UAE
  • a ticket to and from the UAE

Documents required

To apply for the multiple entry tourist visa, the applicant must provide the following:

  • a colored photo
  • a copy of the passport
  • medical Insurance
  • bank statement for the last 6 months with a balance 4,000 USD or its equivalent in foreign currencies
  • tour programme
  • a ticket for onward journey.

Tourist visa is for those who are not eligible for  visa on arrival  or a  visa-free entry  to the UAE. Tourist visa can be obtained for eligible individual tourists from around the world. Females below the age of 18 are not eligible to apply for this type of visa unless they are travelling with their parents.

According to a Cabinet resolution passed in July 2018, children under the age of 18 years who are accompanying adults, can get a  free visa for their visit from 15 July to 15 September each year.

Tourist visas through agencies and hotels

Licensed travel agents and hotels in the UAE can arrange a tourist visa for you provided you purchase the ticket through them and maintain hotel reservation with the specific hotel.

You can also contact travel agencies in your country for any tourist packages available to the UAE in collaboration with a local tour operator.

It is important to check the authenticity of travel agents you are dealing with and refrain from paying or sending copies of your official documents until after you are 100 per cent sure the tour operator is genuine. You can seek the help of the  UAE embassy in your country  for verification.

Note: The UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas. In order to get a tourist visa to the UAE, you need to get in touch with one of the UAE-based airlines, a tour agency or a hotel (where you intend to stay) in the UAE who will apply for visa on your behalf to the official  visa-issuing authorities  in the UAE.
