Organized Tours in Singapore

Although touring Singapore is simple enough for DIY travelers, visitors with little time or those who want to delve deeper into local sights can take advantage of convenient organized activities.

Coach Tours

Tour East (tel. 65/6738-2622 ) organizes typical half-day coach tours of the city every day (adults S$30/US$20/£14, children S$15/US$10/£6.75), and full-day coach excursions on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday to some of the main attractions around the island (adults S$73/US$49/£33, children S$36/US$24/£16), some with meals included. The Peranakan Trail (Tues-Sun) takes visitors out to Katong, a suburban neighborhood that is the focal point of Peranakan heritage (adults S$45/US$30/£20, children S$22/US$15/£9.90).

For something different, go for the DUCKTour (tel. 65/6338-6877 ; www.ducktours.com.sg), a combined coach and boat tour in an amphibious vehicle, a decommissioned military craft, that circles you around the Historic District for a tour of the harbor. The hour-long tour starts every hour, departing from the Suntec City Mall Galleria, with additional transfers from the DUCKTours office on Orchard Road (at the corner of Cairnhill Rd.). Reservations are highly recommended, and tours cost S$33 (US$22/£15) adults, S$17 (US$11/£7.65) children ages 3 to 12, and S$2 (US$1.35/90p) kids 2 and under. DUCKTours also operates the HiPPO Tour aboard an open-top double-decker bus, cruising Orchard Road, Little India, Kampong Glam, Chinatown, and the Historic District. Pick it up at the DUCKTours office on Orchard Road or at Suntec City, then get on and off at sights that interest you along the way. The day ticket costs S$33 (US$22/£15) adults, S$13 (US$8.70/£5.85) children 3 to 12, and S$2 (US$1.35/90p) for kids 2 and under. Call DUCKTours for information.

Walking Tours

Singapore Walks (tel. 65/6325-1631 ; www.singaporewalks.com) is a reputable outfit that organizes guided walking tours of the Historic District, Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam, and other neighborhoods Monday through Saturday, except for public holidays. Call them to find out the meeting time and place for the tour you want; for most walks, adults pay S$28, children tour for S$15.

River Tours & Cruises

Singapore River Cruises (tel. 65/6339-6833 ; www.rivercruise.com.sg) operates boats up and down the Singapore River and into the harbor from 9am to 11pm daily. A bumboat ride with recorded info about the riverside sights costs adults S$18 (US$12/£8.10) and children S$8 (US$5.35/£3.60). You can also use the river cruise boats as a taxi, as it has pick-up points from the Merlion (Fullerton), Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay.

The Imperial Cheng Ho , operated by Watertours (tel. 65/6533-9811 ; www.watertours.com.sg), is a huge boat modeled after the sort of Chinese junk that Admiral Cheng Ho might have sailed when he explored this region in the 15th century. A 2 1/2-hour cruise takes you from Marina South Pier past the Singapore skyline, the mouth of the Singapore River, then out past Sentosa, with a stop on Kusu Island. I recommend the Morning Glory Cruise at 10:30am (adults S$27/US$18/£12, children S$14/US$9.40/£6.30). There's also a High Tea Cruise at 3pm (adults S$32/US$21/£14, children S$16/US$11/£7.20) and a dinner cruise at 6:30pm (adults S$55/US$37/£25, children S$29/US$19/£13). Watertours can arrange hotel transfer with your booking.

Trishaw Tour

These cycle rickshaws were once a staple form of public transportation. Now they're permitted on busy streets only with special permits, and only for guided tours. Singapore Explorer (tel. 65/6339-6833 ; www.singaporeexplorer.com.sg) coordinates regular outings through Chinatown from 10am to 7pm daily. You can either call ahead to book a ride or just show up at the corner of Sago and Terrenganu streets; you'll see the collection of trishaws under cover. The half-hour trip takes you through Chinatown's quaint streets for a charge of S$39 (US$26/£18), children S$20 (US$13/£9) per person. Singapore Explorer can arrange pickup from anywhere if you book in advance.

What other guests say about our tours and locals

Singapore personalised tour and food tour.

"With Locals tour review HJ Singapore personalised tour and food tour 20 April 2024 The tour I booked with HJ was a personalised general tour of Singapore to include his food tour. He drove us in his personal vehicle which gave us great range to see sights spread around Singapore and an airconditioned refuge on a hot and humid day. HJ was very informative and he kept a steady flow of food to sample from markets and street hawkers during the day. The tour lasted until well into the evening with Chinese and Indian Hawker food centres included. He found places a visitor on their own would never find and was just brilliant fun to be with and the day passed all too quickly. I could absolutely recommend HJ for any tour of Singapore. Grayson the Amazin’

"My family and I had a fabulous food tour with Grayson in Singapore. He was extremely well informed on the history of the many cultures that make Singapore so unique and special. The food was delicious and consisted of places we probably would not have found without the help of a local. We highly recommend Grayson as a tour guide. He is funny and educated about this beautiful country! "

local Grayson

Great fun with Ang!

"Ang was a fun, energetic, and educational host for our hawker market tour! We visited two markets and tasted a variety of dishes- our bellies were definitely full at the end of the tour. We went on a Sunday afternoon, so many stalls were closed, but that didn’t stop Ang from choosing plenty of yummy dishes fur us to try. We also enjoyed Ang pointing out historic and cultural points of interest during our walk. And thank you, Ang, for our gifts! Such a memorable experience during our Singapore visit! "

local Ang

Well organized with wealth of information!

"So glad I booked this tour! Monica showed me all the highlights of the city along with a few unknown spots that made the experience unique and special. Along the way Monica provided in depth stories and tidbits about the culture and history of the city and its people. What a great way to kick off my Singapore visit and get to know the city, thank you Monica! "

local Monica

"HJ did a wonderful job in providing us with a comprehensive overview of all the cultures and their food. Very tasty, way too much. Super nice host. "

Lovely time in the garden

"We had a wonderful tour with Peter in the Gardens by the bay. He is very knowledgeable and took very good care of us. I highly recommend him as a guide, a lovely person indeed. Thank you, Peter!"

local Peter

Temple experience

"My daughter and I enjoyed an amazing afternoon with Elaine in the Tooth Relic Temple. She gave us a very good insight into the religion and the life of Buddha. It is such a great environment to learn about it. We did a meditation session in the garden of the temple and then also in the Tooth Relic room. It was really so special. Then we enjoyed an absolutely lovely dinner in the nearby vegan restaurant. I still remember the mushroom dish, it was heavenly! Altogether, the tour was fantastic and I do recommend it to anyone who is interested in Buddhism and the temple. Elaine is a wonderful person and her passion gives the experience such a lift. "

local Elaine

Must do tour!

Excellent Tour

"My husband and I booked a very last minute 4 hour tour of the sights of Singapore with HJ it turned out to be a great decision. We saw so many unexpected parts of the city that only a local would know about. HJ was knowledgeable, friendly and kept a pace that was comfortable for us in the warm Singapore weather. Highly recommend "

This tour was meant to be a group tour and I was charged an extra supplement for having my own room. Turns out I was the only one on the tour and that this had been outsourced to yet another company called Embassey alliance.I only found this out a day before the tour, had no idea of who my point of contact was and also the itinerary did not match the initial tour. Expensive for what it is and I have complained. Plus note is that drivers and guides are good at their job shame about management.

Learn more about Singapore

Geography and environment.

Tiny Singapore occupies little more than a dot on the world map, although it's still not small enough to rate as one of the world's smallest. Located in South-East Asia on the southern end of the Malaysian Peninsula, most of Singapore is highly urbanized, with most residents living in flats and skyscrapers in built up areas. A small proportion (about 10%) of Singapore's land is dedicated to forests and agriculture, with the rest being considered developed, urban environments.

Best time to visit Singapore

Singapore has a typical tropical climate year round - hot and humid with equal amounts of sunshine and rain. The temperature range stays mostly in the 32 ° C (90 ° F) and rarely drops below 20 ° C (70 ° F) degrees at night. Although there are two monsoon seasons, rain is present year round, usually in the form of thunderstorms and short bursts of torrential rain. Thankfully the sun also shines year round - so although the weather can be unpredictable, the sun will usually prevail, making it the perfect Holiday destination.

Top 5 food finds of Singapore

1. chili crab.

Singaporean Chili Crab   could be considered one of the world's favourite dishes from this region. Invented back in 1950, chili crab can now be found everywhere in Singapore - from high-end restaurants to simple hawker stalls. A must try when on holiday in Singapore.

2. Fish-head curry

This aromatic, spicy dish with a South Indian and Chinese heritage features a whole red snapper stewed in coconut milk, tamarind juice, spices and chili. The strong flavour and presence of a whole fish head may turn some people off, but for those with a strong stomach and desire for heat in their food, you can't go past this curry.

3. Chicken rice

This Hainanese-style Singaporean stalwart is unofficially considered Singapore's national dish. Featuring poached or fried chicken and steamed rice with sides of chicken stock, soy, and chili, this is the ideal dish for those wanting simple flavours and ingredients done well.

4. Ice cream sandwich

Head to the mobile ice cream carts located along Orchard Road to find this indulgent sweet treat. Traditional flavours (like chocolate and strawberry) get a run alongside more exotic flavours (durian or sweet corn ice cream anyone?). This slice of creamy sugar wrapped in sweet bread is the perfect antidote to the steamy Singaporean climate.

5. Fried carrot cake

No, this dish isn't made by putting a sweet carrot cake in a deep fryer. Rather, it's a popular savoury meal in Singapore also known as Chai Tow Kuay. And it just gets stranger when you consider that there are no carrots in this dish, but rather white radish, garlic, chili and coriander. Oddities aside, this street-food favourite is a cheap and easy meat-free meal, a top choice for vegetarian travellers.

Exploring Singapore: Organized Tours and Trips for Every Traveler

Singapore, a melting pot of cultures and history, offers many organized tours and trips that cater to various interests. Whether you’re pressed for time or seeking an in-depth exploration, these guided experiences provide an insightful way to discover the city’s gems.

Diverse Sightseeing Tours

Singapore’s sightseeing tours range from comprehensive explorations of downtown districts to specialized themes such as World War II sites and Peranakan culture . These tours are perfect for those who want to get a snapshot of Singapore’s diverse heritage in a structured and informative way.

Unique Modes of Travel: River Cruises and Trishaws

For a different perspective, consider a trip down the iconic Singapore River. These cruises offer a scenic and relaxing way to view the city’s skyline and historical sites. Additionally, trishaw rides, once a common mode of transport, now offer tourists a nostalgic journey through select routes, especially in areas like Chinatown . While freelance trishaw men may be found near the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, it’s advisable to bargain for a ride or book through a reputable operator for a hassle-free experience.

Customized Experiences with Registered Tourist Guides

For personalized exploration, engaging a registered tourist guide is an excellent option. Each guide brings their unique expertise and specialization, offering tailored tours that align with your interests. Contact the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) or visit the directory at guides-online.yoursingapore.com to find a guide.

Connecting with Nature and Heritage

For long-term visitors or those with specific interests, joining local societies like the Singapore Nature Society or the Singapore Heritage Society can be enriching. These groups organize guided walks, conservation projects, and educational talks, often in less-visited locales, providing an in-depth understanding of Singapore’s natural and historical landscape.

Testimonials.

@Ms. MARGARET TOK

We would like to compliment one of the tour leader from SA tour - Rachel - the tour leader for the Europe Trip. Rachel has been very professional and helpful and knowledgeable and her flexibility to adjust the itinerary has reduce a lot of waiting and travelling time for us. The itinerary was well paced with nature and city scene. There is never a perfect itinerary that suits all of us but I personally feel that a tour leader plays a important part in ensuring we had a enjoyable trip and we are indeed blessed to have Rachel and the group we travelling with to make our trip a very enjoyable one. Personally it was since 10 years plus that I join a group tour. There was some unpleasant experience I had with one of the SA colleague which commented that I was being unfair to him in a email that was sent to my friend. It does started me with a bad note and I start to wonder whether did I make the right choice? However it turns out to be a pleasant trip and the credit goes to Rachel. Nowadays it is difficult to find loyal and staff who work with passion and SA is blessed to have Rachel as their staff. I am in service line and I know it is not easy as there is ups and downs. I am sure SA tours will continue to be popular with good word of mouth from customers through the service from the good tour leaders( including Rachel) Last but not least ,Thank you to SA Tours. Thanks again to Mickey and Carol too for replying to my emails too.

@Mr. FELICIA PEI TING

I would like to thank Miss Winnie Woo for her help in planning a wedding proposal on our Dream Cruise holiday from 11-16 Feb 2018. We were planning to go on Royal Caribbean initially, however decided on Dream Cruise after Winnie’s strong recommendation. She explained to us how Dream Cruise will be more suitable for our lifestyle - such a Penfolds bar, Johnnie Walker bar and also the high restaurant standards. This shows that she is very observant and patient to understand our needs. As she knows that my friend was going to proposed on Valentine's Day, she suggested we book the dinner with Mark Best. And on 11 Feb, she even called to reconfirm the arrangement for us again. Luckily, she did that as the restaurant did not remember when I went to check earlier in the day. I’m very impressed with her! On 14 Feb, the four of us were even more surprised when we walked into our friend’s room with decoration! She went the extra mile to her Dream Cruise to do it for my friend. And the proposal was very impressive and successful! I must say that this makes me want to book more holidays with SA tour as I know the consultant is so considerate and dedicated to take care of us. Once again, a big thank you to Ms Winnie Woo!

@Ms. CELINA LOW

Following our recent tour Guangzhou Family Fantasia 24 Dec-1 Jan, I would like to compliment your staff for their excellent professional services. Mr. Louis Lee is a very dedicated and organized tour leader. He did everything to ensure our safety, fast free check-in, luggage and meals that leave us to enjoy with a peace of mind. His cheerful, enthusiastic and thoughtful nature kept us in a happy mood so much that we bonded a strong friendship. Together with Mr. Jin our China tour guide, they shared general knowledge of places, tips on where, what to do and eat. From their sharing, I myself as an avid photographer, discovered a lot of nice interesting sceneries. Mr. Lee is definitely the best tour guide I have met so far and I am looking forward to explore China by joining his tour group again. Also, not forgetting the courteous friendly Mr. Kenneth Tan, who did our booking. Despite near closing time, he took the time to explain and answer our queries well. The trip to China was splendid. Many thanks for creating good memories. Kudos to you guys!

@Mr. Lee Loon Yang

Hi, My parents and I have joined SA Tour's 14D European Treasure Trove (EETT14) from 3-16 Dec 2022. We are very grateful to Cyril for all the assistance that he rendered to my family and me throughout the trip. My parents are elderly (age 67 and 72) and compared to other tour members, needed more time to walk and help with luggage. At Jungfraujoch, I was impressed that Cyril prepared sweets and ginger to help all tour members gain the energy to adjust to the high-altitude effect as well as reminded us regularly to walk slowly and be careful of the slippery surfaces. Cyril's care and concern for the safety and comfort each member has been prevalent throughout the tour. At each hotel, Cyril has done his best to accommodate needs of the families travelling together (swapping rooms where necessary) and helped everyone with our heavy luggage such that any inconveniences were kept to the minimum. My family has been travelling to Europe for several years before Covid so we are familiar with the long distances expected in the itinerary and are cognisant that we will only be staying for a short time in each city. This is my third visit to Italy and my mother's second visit; visiting Sistine Chapel at Vatican City during each trip. Through our description of Sistine Chapel, my father (a devout Christian) was looking forward to visiting it at the Vatican City during this trip to Italy (his first visit). We realised that the visit to Vatican City did not include Sistine Chapel while we were waiting to enter the St Peter's Basilica. My father was distraught and kept saying that he really wanted to visit the Sistine Chapel once in his lifetime and at his age, he may have a chance to return to Italy again. Cyril heard my father saying this and explored with the local tour guide on how we can fulfil my father's wish to visit Sistine Chapel though my mother and I were explaining to my father that we should just continue with the tour itinerary in order not to inconvenience the other tour members. As we are in Rome on 14 and 15 Dec (15 Dec was a free day), it may be possible for my family to return to Vatican City to visit Sistine Chapel on our own on 15 Dec before meeting the tour group at the airport. After discussion with Cyril and the local tour guide, we decided that the best approach would be to skip the next leg of the walking tour in Rome (14 Dec) to Colosseum and go to Sistine Chapel (next to St Peter's Basilica) while we are still in Vatican City. We will catch up with the tour group at Trevi Fountain. As the local guide is with our tour group throughout the walking tour and will take care of the safety of 17 members, Cyril quickly brought the 3 of us to the entrance of Musei Vaticani to get tickets before he ran back in the rain to catch up with the tour group at the Colosseum. We went for a short route to Sistine Chapel and took a taxi to Trevi Fountain to meet the group within 2 hours to continue our walking tour to Spanish Steps. Cyril could have left the 3 of us to locate the entrance of Musei Vaticani on our own (which I offered) and stayed with the 17 members of the tour group and the local guide on the walking tour. Cyril went with us because it was raining the entire day and he was concerned about whether we can locate the entrance in time, particularly with my elderly parents. At the same time, the local guide was with 17 members of the tour group ensuring their safety while Cyril quickly caught up with them; drenched in the process. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to Cyril and the other members of the tour group to fulfil my father's wish. Weighing the options, this approach caused the least inconvenience to the rest of the tour members. It meant a lot to my family that Cyril made the extra effort to fulfil my father's wish to visit Sistine Chapel in his lifetime. My family and I have joined many packaged tours over the past 14 years. We know what a tour leader would typically do in a packaged tour. From this trip after Covid, we also saw that many things changed in Europe. Cyril has struck us as a tour leader who went above and beyond the typical role of the tour leader and went through hardship (carrying heavy luggage up flights of stairs at hotels) to ensure the safety and comfort of tour members. My parents and I would like to express our deepest appreciation for Cyril's assistance during our tour to Europe from 3 to 16 Dec 2022. We seek SA Tours' assistance to convey our appreciation to Cyril and recognise his good performance during the tour. Thank you.

Dear Sir/ Mdm, Hope this email serves you fine and well. I am a customer of yours for the European 14D European Treasure Trove from 3 Dec 2022 to 16 Dec 2022. I will like to take this opportunity to thank my tour manager Mr Cyril Sheng for the great experience that he has given me and my wife for the honeymoon holiday. Firstly, Mr Cyril Sheng has been very accommodating and very detailed in his daily itinerary planning for the whole trip. There were many requests put up during the trip by many passengers on an adhoc basis. Without any hesitation, he has been in the forefront to take care of all our needs and wants within the time limit. He has paid detailed attention to an elderly couple who wanted to pay their respects in the 16th Chapel whilst he ensured that we are safe in the hands of the local guide. He went the extra mile to reach our next destination on foot after bringing the couple which is admirable. Mr Cyril has also showed the care and concern for all his passengers. Since my wife and I are on a special diet of vegetarian and having fish and eggs, he ensured that we are served the right food at all times. This is an admirable character of his. What touched me was he came over to all his passengers including us to ensure the right food is served. When some of the fellow passengers changed their dietary requirements, he went the extra mile to change without any complaints. This is the star quality that we see in him. In addition, when my wife needed to go to the toilet as she was not feeling well, without much hesitation or complaints, he directed the bus captain to detour to show care and concern. He also checked in twice on the same day to see if she was fine and checked in again the next day. This is something that I have not seen in other tour manager in other agencies. In Switzerland, whilst other tour managers in other groups only brought their passengers up, Mr Cyril has gone the extra mile to buy sweets for passengers to have sugar and go up the mountain. This was on his own accord. He ensured all passenger young and old were fine throughout the journey. When an elderly passenger was not well,he rushed to help her and assisted the family. He also spent his own money to get doughnuts for his passengers. I am also amazed that Mr Cyril Sheng went the additional mile to carry all the luggage for his passengers. He smiled and helped all of us. This is really admirable in him. I hope you would take this opportunity to praise him for his hard work and effort. Any complaints against him is something that you can dismiss against. Please do call me if you need any clarification. Thank you. Regards, Mr Prem Ms Kalphna

@Mr. Jason Tan

Hi SA tour team, I am currently on 14D11N EUROPEAN TREASURE TROVE trip with Cyril Sheng from 03 Dec to 16 Dec. The thing about going on a trip and especially on a tour is to be accommodating with each other and not put in tough and unreasonable requests to tour guide. Cyril was the complete opposite of the worst. He puts in his best effort and goes all out to assist each and every member in the tour. He’s nothing short of being an excellent tour guide. I hereby put in my testimonial to him and I will continue to support SA Tours. Warmest Regards, Jason Tan

@Ms. Eunice Chua

Dear SA, Happy New Year 2023! Hope this finds you well. I meant to write earlier but was busy traveliing and celebrating the festive season. This a belated thank you to Keith Ng who was Tour Leader on my trip to Hokkaido 1st to 8th December. He looked after us very well. I was particularly impressed with his caring attitude and he conscientiously helped me throughout the tour. Please pass my compliments to Keith for a job well done during our tour. The group was also appreciative of his attention and commitment. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday and I will certainly consider SA Tours in the future.

@Mr. Samuel Lee & Emely

To the Management of SA Tours, I have just returned from the Hokkaido Package 8 days tour from 11 to 19th of May on the Scoot Flight Package.I would like to mention something today that is on every leisure traveller’s dream to have a pleasant and memorable trip just outside my usual business travels. When we landed in Sapporo , we were greeted with a 60 ?year old tour guide ( Tao yu , BEI ZI ) and my first impression was what can this lady do for the 8 days continuous journey that we are going to embark on while most of the time, I would expect a 30 to 40 years plus tour guide are the usual ones with the appropriate energy to carry us all the way throughout the comprehensive journeys . I saw even at the first meeting she was pretty tired , stunned and wear out. I was literally not expecting any potential exciting tours ahead. After the 8 days , I was totally wronged and what I witnessed was that Bei Zi has brought us the tour group to an exhilarating , entertaining , knowledge riched journey and most importantly with great sense of humour that bombarded us till we are totally impressed with her experience and skills of a well rounded tour guide. Her style of organising the tour schedule was kept detailed and meticulously carried out the proposed events with utmost responsibility to ensure everyone is safe and understood the message she tried to deliver. Never had I and my wife came across such dedicated and professional attitude that she carried with her to ensure that the tour group members broke ice on friendship quickly and allow us to find common ground together through her lively humour and simplistic philological understanding about how we should appreciate our life both by leading simple, happy and a meaningful life. It’s really a 5 stars quality. I would like to also comment on the professionalism displayed by Rachel ( SA ) who has to juggle between 2 travel groups while keeping pace with the tight schedule moving from one hotel to another and it is no joke considering we are changing hotels every day. She brought snacks to ensure that we are in good mood and continue to keep us well informed on the day’s schedule. Her bilingualist ability was able to put into good use. She is very kind, gentle and understanding. Last but not least, another commendable person we would like to thank is Hirasawa San, the perfect and meticulously dressed driver who makes our journey seamlessly safe and given strategically challenging driven coach routes that only experience and passionate driver can execute. The coach is too clean that we felt guilty eating some snacks inside the coach. Many thanks to SA tours, and very lucky to have such great people like BEI ZI , Rachel and Hirasawa San, who I hope will continue to upkeep great standards of tour guided packages offered. Once again, thanks to wonderful people like BEI ZI that makes my holiday so worthwhile not just on beautiful sceneries alone but we certainly make great pleasant friends along this nice and memorable journey. I wish everyone best days ahead , till we meet again.

What are the best 3-days or shorter tours to Singapore?

Though planning your own itinerary is possible in Singapore, the potentially complex transportation options often make the choice of a tour more appealing for most travelers. Given these factors along with the overall challenges of travel here, the investment in a tour is often a prudent decision. By leaving transportation, accommodations, activities, and dining to experts, you can enjoy your trip without any worries.

Tours in Singapore can be cheaper than independent travel depending on factors such as the tour's destinations, level of luxury, and duration. It's important to acknowledge that each tour and independent trip is distinct. Tour providers typically offer competitively priced packages that are comparable to independently planned trips with similar levels of luxury. The average cost per day for a tour in Singapore is $385, with many tours priced below this average. The price range for tours in Singapore spans from $508 to $2,539. When comparing costs to independent travel, keep in mind that most guided organized tour packages include accommodations, transportation, knowledgeable guides, food, entrance tickets, and more. While it may be challenging to make a universal comparison between tours and independent travel, ensure you are aware of the inclusions in a tour package and thoroughly research the costs of independent travel in Singapore.

Group Tours vs. Independent Travel in Singapore

Choosing between joining an organized tour package or planning an independent trip can be a challenging decision for many travelers. However, in Singapore during 2024 or 2025, the availability of numerous enticing deals and sales makes organized tour packages an attractive option. These packages offer comprehensive inclusions, encompassing accommodations, transportation, entry tickets, meals, and other travel necessities, providing excellent value for money. Moreover, guided tours provide the advantage of expert guides who enhance the travel experience, along with the convenience of having the entire trip planned out. On the other hand, independent travel allows for greater flexibility and control over one's itinerary, enabling adjustments to schedules and budgets. It also offers the opportunity to delve deeper into local cultures and explore off-the-beaten-path destinations that are often not part of organized tours.

What are the benefits of a package tour to Singapore?

The benefits of traveling with a tour are numerous. First, the convenience of having everything arranged can't be beat, as you'll have your transportation, accommodations, and activities all planned out for you. Thus, you can relax knowing that you'll be seeing the highights of the destinations without worrying about where you'll have to stay that night, how to get there, or if you're missing anything. Also, since the prices of most tours are usually all-inclusive, you'll know almost exactly how much you'll be paying for your trip before you leave. Tour benefits include

  • not having to plan
  • reliable service and schedule
  • fixed budget
  • knowledgeable guides
  • comfortable amenities
  • meeting other like-minded travelers
  • eliminating risks

What are the benefits of independent travel in Singapore?

Freedom, control, and flexibility are the advantages of independent travel. By planning on a journey on your own, you have the freedom to select your preferred accommodations, visit the attractions that pique your interest, dine at your desired times, and navigate the destination according to your preferences. This level of independence also provides you with greater control over your budget, schedule, itinerary, and the level of luxury you seek while traveling. More benefits include:

  • flexible budget
  • in-depth cultural opportunities
  • flexible schedules
  • off-the-beaten-path destinations

To secure your tour to Singapore, it is recommended to plan and book well in advance, preferably a few months or more ahead of time. While it is not uncommon for many individuals to reserve their tours up to a year in advance, based on our experience, booking around 6 to 9 months prior to the departure date is typically sufficient. It is important to note that numerous tours tend to fill up quickly, so booking early ensures that you have a place on the trip. Furthermore, early booking often comes with the advantage of significant cost savings, as tour companies frequently offer early booking sales and discounted prices. However, it is worth considering that some tour companies may occasionally offer last-minute discounts for tours that are not fully booked. Nevertheless, waiting for last-minute discounts carries the risk of not securing a spot on a fully booked tour.

The size of tours in Singapore can differ significantly, with group sizes ranging from 4 to 30 individuals. On average, a tour consists of 13 travelers. It's worth noting that the number of participants on a tour does not necessarily impact its quality or pricing.

For a comprehensive experience of Singapore, it is advisable to set aside approximately 4 days, which is the typical duration of organized tour packages. Tours in Singapore can last anywhere from 2 to 6 days, and occasionally longer. Although longer tours may have a higher upfront cost, their daily expenses decrease over time. Moreover, longer tours allow for a more extensive exploration of various destinations, providing better value for money.

Where do group tours go in Singapore?

When it comes to exploring Singapore, numerous tours make it a priority to include visits to several popular stops, such as Singapore.

What tour and travel companies offer packages to Singapore?

A wide range of tour companies offer trips to Singapore. Some companies are large international brands, while others are more regionally or locally based. The benefits and challenges of each company can vary based on its size and level of experience. International companies often have well-established reputations, and tours are rarely canceled due to low turnout. However, they might not have the same local perspectives and insights that you'll find with a smaller, locally based company.

The most popular companies offering tours in Singapore are Agate Travel , The Dragon Trip , Delightful Travel , Intertrips , and Globus . Some are larger than others, while some are focused on specific regions or types of trips.

What is the best tour company offering trips to Singapore?

With plenty of positive reviews from travelers, Globus is the company with the highest rated tours in Singapore. They consistently offer great service and highly rated trips.
