The R&B Music Experience Tour is set to bring smooth grooves across the country this fall. Per Rated RNB , the tour brings a variety of the genre’s performers to the stage, with a different lineup in each city.

Kicking off Nashville, Tenn. the tour hits Birmingham, Ala., Chicago and more cities before wrapping up in Miami. The first show features Trey Songz , Tamar Braxton , Tevin Campbell , 112 , Silk , Tweet , Ginuwine, and Shai.

Ne-Yo Taps Mario And Robin Thicke For His ‘Champagne And Roses’ Tour

According to the outlet, more dates are set to be announced soon. Ticket pricing varies per location, with most starting in the $70 range.

Ibeyi share fall and winter world tour dates

The duo will drop their third studio album, spell 31 , on may 6 via xl recordings..

Ibeyi , the duo of Afro-Cuban French twin sisters Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz, have begun to roll out offerings from their third album, Spell 31 , in anticipation of its May 6 release via XL Recordings. Thus far, they've shared three of its tracks: November 2021's " Made Of Gold " featuring Pa Salieu , February's " Sister 2 Sister ," and last week's " Lavender & Red Roses " featuring Jorja Smith .

They've now announced a fall and winter world tour behind the forthcoming record, starting with a September–October North American trek before returning east of the pond in November for another months of performances (mostly in their home country), after which they'll play four French shows in late January–early February to round off the journey. The second part of SZA’s SOS Tour is starting on June 1, 2023, and runs to October 29, 2023. The tour kicks off in Amsterdam but will return to the United States in late September, stopping off in Miami, Nashville and Brooklyn, among countless other locations.

After starting her career in the early 2010s, SZA received critical acclaim with her 2017 album, Ctrl, and has co-written and performed songs with the likes of Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and Doja Cat. Her second album, SOS, reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

Alicia Keys has been a staple of the R&B genre since the 90s and has shown no signs of slowing down. Her Keys to the Summer tour marks her eighth time around the United States and Canada. This tour came as a welcome surprise after Keys finished her world tour, Alicia + Keys, in May this year.

Her American tour starts on June 28, 2023, and goes until August 2, 2023. She will be visiting Florida, Brooklyn and New Orleans along the way. Fans can expect a combination of old hits as well as content from her newer albums. With her exceptional voice, it's guaranteed to be an incredible evening.

50 Cent — The Final Lap Tour

The Final Lap tour is a celebration of the 20-year anniversary of 50 Cent’s debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. The tour will travel across the United States before moving through Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom.

Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind, and Fire — Sing a Song All Night Long Tour

The only thing better than seeing an R&B artist live is seeing two R&B artists on the same night. When Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind, and Fire announced their collaboration, fans across the globe were overcome with excitement. The 20-date tour will start on August 4, 2023, in Minnesota and ends on September 15, 2023, in Los Angeles, after appearing in New York, Chicago, Washington and Atlanta.

History of R&B Music

R&B, which stands for Rhythm and Blues and is also referred to as R’n’B, is a form of popular music that emerged among African-American communities in the 1940s. It was made by African Americans and mostly targeted African Americans living in urban areas. For this reason, it was initially called “race music,” which was changed for being offensive.

This genre of music is believed to have derived from blues, jazz, folk, and gospel. It changed a lot over the decades. In the 1950s, it was mostly similar to rock n roll and was commonly categorized as such. It was used to refer to electric blues, soul, and gospel as well.

In the 1970s, R&B moved away from rock and was mostly identified with soul and funk. Starting from the 1980s, it was infused with pop, soul, funk, electronic, and hip-hop, resulting in contemporary R&B. The electric guitar was ditched for instruments such as keyboards, drum machines, and synthesizers, making the music very similar to hip-hop.

Leaving the dock on Lake Osceola, passengers observe swaying palms, towering cypress trees, lush ferns or perhaps a lazy alligator basking in the sun during the hour-long lake and canal tour of the pristine Winter Park chain of lakes. The dock is located less than five minutes from Park Avenue, Central Florida’s popular, tree-lines upscale shopping district which offers over sixty upscale retailers and a variety of acclaimed restaurants for the casual or fine dining.

After the boat tour, purchase lunch at one of the chic bistros or sidewalk cafes and re-energize for shopping and visiting the museum.

This multi-faceted day tour also includes admission to the Morse Museum of American Art which houses the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany. One of the highlights here includes the chapel interior Tiffany designed for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Art and architectural objects from Tiffany’s celebrated home, Laurelton Hall, are also on exhibit.  The work of Louis Comfort Tiffany is the centerpiece of the Morse Museum collection. The museum features fine examples in every medium that Tiffany he explored in every period of his life.

Fantasia Announces 2022-2023 Tour Dates

Fantasia is hitting the road. The Grammy-winning singer has announced show dates that extend from the fall through winter. 

The tour begins on Nov. 10 at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey.

From there, Fantasia will play in various cities across the U.S., including Brooklyn, New York; Columbia, South Carolina; Oxon Hill, Maryland and more. 

She even has shows lined up in 2023, with more to be announced at a later date.

Tickets are on sale now.

It’s been three years since Fantasia last released an album. Sketchbook , which she released independently on Rock Soul/BMG, debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart. It sold 10,000 equivalent units in the first week of sales. 

Sketchbook included Fantasia’s radio hit “ Enough ,” which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. It spent 25 weeks on the chart.

The album also featured an appearance from T-Pain (“ PTSD “) and Mama Diane. The former track was reissued with a remix featuring Tank and the Bonfyre . Both artists, along with Robin Thicke, supported Fantasia on her headlining  Sketchbook Tour .

Music aside, Fantasia is keeping herself busy. She will star in the upcoming musical film The Color Purple  as Celie. She previously portrayed the character in the Broadway musical. 

“As I sit tonight and reflect on the journey my has taken, I believe I now understand what Redemption truly feels like,” said Fantasia.

“The last time I stepped into this character, the similarities between what I portrayed on stage and what I experienced in my own reality were too close for comfort. I’ve learned since then that my pain was only an introduction to a great purpose of meaning and assignment.”

She added, “I hope that every little black girl who is fighting to be heard and recognized also promises to never give up in spite of the costs. Now everyone who has been wondering why I’ve been missing and so quiet can see that I’ve been dedicating all of my time to All Things Purple! (Matthew 20:16).”

Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge

Seasons of Wildlife

Spring offers the unique opportunity to see the large-scale migration of lesser snow geese. Other migratory birds such as shorebirds, wading birds and ducks can also be found using the refuge at this time. Look for bald eagle pairs nesting in trees or listen for wild turkeys gobbling to attract a mate. Spring is a great time to see and hear the diversity of species on the refuge!

Snakes and turtles are often seen crossing the auto tour. Explore the refuge during morning and evening hours for the best opportunities to view wildlife and avoid the heat of midday. Nesting songbirds are abundant during this time! Great blue herons and other wading birds can be seen in the wetland vegetation. White-tailed deer fawns and other new life are active throughout the wetlands, grasslands and woodlands.

Migratory waterfowl including a variety of duck and goose species utilize the refuge for a resting and feeding ground on their journey south for the winter. Enjoy the vibrant fall colors and practice your bird identification skills with the diverse waterbird species found in the wetlands.

Winter provides the best opportunity to see bald eagles in incredible numbers. Concentrations of ducks and geese can be found in patches of open water. Coyotes are often seen during daylight hours.

Lesser snow geese.

The refuge is a mecca for large concentrations of migratory birds during the spring and fall because of the diversity and interspersion of habitats as well as the location of the refuge between two major migratory bird corridors, the Central and Mississippi flyways. By far, the most spectacular wildlife event is the migration of the snow geese in both fall and spring.

In the spring, snow geese will start back for their breeding grounds. However, the spring migration differs from the fall. The geese travel north as the spring thaw permits, along slightly different paths than during fall. More snow geese use the refuge during spring migration, sometimes millions of geese at a time. During the peak of their arrival the blue wetland is turned into a sea of white.

In the fall, snow geese begin to arrive at the refuge in mid-October with the peak in mid to late November. In the spring, snow geese will begin to arrive in mid-February with the peak in mid-March. On a typical day at the refuge, snow geese will begin to fly out at or before sunrise to feed on waste grain on private agricultural lands within the vicinity of the refuge. They will usually come and go to and from the refuge throughout the morning but by mid-day, there can be a large concentration of birds on the wetlands. In the late afternoon, birds will again fly out to neighboring fields returning again at or after sunset.

Bald eagles migrate to the refuge by late fall and early winter. As many as 300 immature and adult bald eagles and an occasional golden eagle may be seen during the migration peak, usually by the first of December. A record 662 bald eagles were counted during a 2020 survey. The first recorded successful bald eagle nest fledged three young eaglets in the summer of 1997. A few bald eagles may spend the winter and summer on the refuge. Migrating eagles leave the refuge in spring and summer returning to lakes and streams in the northern forests.

Massasauge Rattlesnake

The western Massasauga rattlesnake is a Missouri State endangered species that is dependent on the habitats on the refuge. The refuge is home to one of at least five remaining massasauga rattlesnake populations in the state. Snakes are 20-25 inches long, light grey to light brown in color with dark brown spots down the center of the back. Massasauga rattlesnakes are found in the bottomland prairie associated with wetlands. The refuge has the largest population in the state. Declining population numbers can be contributed to habitat loss and people intentionally or accidentally killing the reptile.
