Destin Booze Cruise on a Floating Tiki Boat (with Captain)

Looking for a Destin Booze Cruise? Take a 4-hour tour of the beautiful waters of the Destin Harbor, Choctawhatchee Bay, and the famed Crab Island sandbar on a floating tiki boat rental. Offering a unique and fun way to explore the area while enjoying your favorite adult beverages, this floating tiki bar boat will be a memorable experience for everyone onboard. Bring whatever you would like to drink (BYOB), and take your place at the bar where the skipper will take you to see the sights, while you sit back and and enjoy the ride. You can tour the area on the floating tiki boat and even make a stop at Crab Island. The Tiki boat is captained so you don’t have to worry about navigating the boat and it can accommodate up to 10 passengers plus the skipper/master.

Tiki Booking Information:

Pricing : $545 for 4 hours or $995 for 8 hours (including the skipper/captain). Please note the booking price will display the price for the boat only ($395+tax/half day or $695/full day). By law, the captain’s fee ($150/half day or $300/full day) must be paid separately in cash or venmo at the time of arrival. Two-hour sunset cruises and fireworks cruises are also available.

Excursion period : 4 hour tiki boat booze cruises run daily March-October from 9:00am-1:00pm, 1:30pm-5:30pm, or 9:30am-5:30pm, departing from the Destin Harbor. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to allow time to find parking and check-in.

Reservations : Required. Book early as space is limited. Full payment is required to hold the reservation, however, your payment is fully refundable if canceled at least 48 hours in advance.

Restrictions : Must be 21 to drink alcohol. No provisions provided (bring your own food, drink, alcohol, etc).

Cancellation Policy : Should your booze cruise reservation need to be canceled, please contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled trip. Cancellations made before 48 hours will receive a full refund minus a 3% cancellation fee. Trip Protection is available for purchase at check out to allow for cancellations up to 2 hours prior to start time. No-shows will be charged the full price regardless of purchasing the protection plan.  If the trip is canceled due to weather by us, the reservation is fully refundable.

The staff was amazing, we personally had Capt. Mike. Crab island was amazing. Highly recommend for families. The water & wind was rough so he brought us to an area that was like our own beach.

I give Cruisin Tikis Destin and Captain John all five stars because this experience was unplanned and not expected but definitely one for the books. My friends and I just happened to be perusing around the back of the Boathouse Oyster Bar, when we spotted the whole tiki hut floating on the water. We booked an 8pm cruise, for later that evening which lasts around 90 minutes. It was about $60 per person, for me and three friends. Be mindful that it's a BYOB and food situation so if you want to drink it or eat it, bring it with you. They only provide the floating tiki with a captain. Before our trip, I received two more texts from the captain. The first was our tickets and the other was for the waivers, each of us had to complete and sign. The second text stated that WE MUST ARRIVE 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. The boat will not wait for you, if you are not on time. If you do not arrive on time you will be considered a "No-Show." I recommend the night cruise, if you can. Not only did we BYOB, we brought a Bluetooth speaker and our own music. We had a 90 minute, non-stop blast that included dancing and a conga line!

Fun and amazing experience. I did a sunset cruise with my friends and we had Captain Sam and Captain Kert 2! Both were super friendly and kind! Very funny and nice to engage in conversation with. Both answered all our questions and made sure we were safe the whole time. The company offers complimentary rides back to your car so that was a nice touch!

I'd give Captain Matt 5 stars! But the rest of the service 2 stars. The overall experience was a 4.5... Here's the story: Had been staying in Destin for several days and tried making a sunset cruise reservation (for just me) when it would fit in with my schedule all around the panhandle and the weather was hit or miss every day. I tried to get on one (purchase at the dock) but I couldn't get a parking spot anywhere.....and not enough time to get across the street to paid parking (requires an app) and make it back across the street, down the gravel hill, to the end of the dock to get on the tiki in time. So, instead I tried to book a Harbor Lights cruise, but no one seemed to be going and with a minimum number of people required, it wasn't until an hour before the cruise I found out (by calling multiple times, finally got a call back that there were enough people to take one out...), I had less than hour to get there and go! I found out once I met the folks who made the other reservation to meet the minimum, they had made that reservation a few hours prior - I should have gotten a call then so I didn't have to stop in the middle of my plans so I could be better prepped/dressed to go. But I made it!!! We all get to the dock and it's DARK and just a couple tikis coming in from the sunset tours.....and no one to greet us, we are all there just guessing on who to meet and where to go and what to do... As one Captain approached us, we had asked if where we go and he was a bit jumpy and said JUST WAIT HERE and so we did... and waited... Another Captain came our way and we gently asked who we ought to meet and he checked in with some folks and found that we didn't have a Captain for the evening.. NICE! But Captain Matt, although put him back to the dock after yet another tour for the evening LATE because he had to clean up after the tour he just got back from and delayed our start and had a flight super early in the morning....he took us out and was super great about it!!! when whatever other Captain didn't show!!! What a great guy - we had so much fun with him, he was knowledgeable and it was so nice of him to stay later than he was supposed to, to cover for someone else. Bring drinks/shots! Bring music! If the sound system/speakers aren't blown, it's great sound on the water and a fun mini party! I'd forewarn there are apparently quite a few communication issues within this company. But if you get on and your Captain shows up, I'm pretty sure it'll be a fun time!

Captain Murray was amazing, we had such a blast on our trip! We did this for a fun bachelorette party activity and highly recommend! The tiki took us to crab island and it was a fun day in the sun and the water was beautiful. Definitely want to come back and do this again very soon!

Amazing time! Highly recommend to all when you visit this area! We were in Panama Beach, but drove to Destin for this experience. So worth it all... the customer service and time in the water, and hanging out with fun humans in a party atmosphere; unforgettable! We will be back!!

Amazing time! The best excursion we've been on in years of vacations, hands down - and we've been on a lot. We are a family of 4 with kids 7.5yo and 8.5yo and it was PERFECT. Not wild, but still a great time. Crab Island was perfection and our tiki master, Josh, was incredible - very safe, knowledgeable and FUN! He had the best music and took the kids requests while playing all the good music the adults loved. 10/10 recommending Crusin Tikis - specifically Josh - to all of our Destin-bound friends this summer!

This is a great option for a date night or fun with family/friends. I booked the 6pm sunset cruise and it was worth it. You can bring your our drinks, food, etc. they will provide cups, ice and coolers. We were running a bit behind but Mike our tour guide waited (we were only 5 min late) and we hopped aboard with 2 other couples. The ride was smooth, he was engaging and he played soft rock music. The 1.5 hour tour was just enough time for us to all enjoy yourselves. There's not much to do in Destin now since the pandemic but this was one of our highlights

Destin and the Emerald Coast are known for having the most beautiful beaches in the world, but what many locals will tell you is that it's really all about the gorgeous jewel-toned water that surrounds this sugary shore. Now you too can experience this part awe-inspiring part of nature and enjoy a wonderful sparkling playground on a Tiki Bar that actually floats! Besides enjoying your favorite tropical drinks, wine, or cold beer, you can cruise around on this very unique cocktail vessel.

Two brothers, Ian and Sean Blaise, created this new one-of-a-kind adventure. They lived in South Florida before moving back to Destin and got the idea in Key West. A unique company named  Cruisin' Tiki  has a franchise business there, which has really caught on. Ian and his brother Sean thought Destin would be a perfect place for a floating Tiki Bar due to the luminescent serene jeweled waters here.  Destin Crusin'  Tiki began this exotic venture a few years back, and it has quickly become a successful endeavor.

They describe the Tiki Cruise as a "really relaxing atmosphere" that allows partying passengers "a different perspective of looking at beautiful Destin from the water." Sean had his own private charter business in Key West that provided historical tours of the keys before he discovered this business.  

The motorized floating Tiki Bar is ten-sided with a thatched tiki hut in the middle surrounded by a bar with stools for seating. This is a BYOB affair, so passengers may bring whatever they want to drink while the licensed captain motors you around the marina and part of the bay. They provide a big Yeti Cooler with plenty of ice and a Bluetooth Stereo Sound System. You may also bring along snacks for your group like fried chicken, sandwiches, and other goodies. They drop anchor at different spots, and there is a ladder that allows you to easily get down into the water to have a refreshing swim.

A favorite destination is  Crab Island , where lots of beautiful people frolic together on their boats all summer long. This is located on the bayside of the bridge that connects Destin to Okaloosa Island's National Seashore.

Oddly enough, Crab Island isn't really an island at all since it is now underwater, but years ago, it was an island of sorts, albeit that of the "sand bar" variety. Locals used to go there to catch crabs during low tide, which gave the name. It's also a fantastic place to watch sunsets over the bay during the summer. Water levels changed, and today it often resembles a floating boat party starting in April until early autumn. During the summer and on popular holiday weekends, you can see over 200 boats anchored there from the Destin Bridge, engaging in a giant water party fest. The water depth ranges from knee-high to below your shoulders, for the most part, making it the perfect place to splash around and play. Passengers or rather party participants arrive on maritime vessels of all kinds. They range from big luxury yachts to small fishing boats and everything in-between. Many visitors join in by renting pontoon boats at the nearby Destin's  HarborWalk Village , where Ocean Reef guests receive special discounts - however you won't find anyone else floating around on a Tiki Bar!

The  Crusin' Destin Tiki Bar  has a variety of cruises available. They are located at 302 Harbor Boulevard in Destin, situated next to the Red Door Saloon. The famous Boathouse Restaurant is down on the docks. The Crab Island excursion is a three-hour adventure that starts at the marina, slowly sails past Harborwalk Village, and then heads under the Destin Bridge over to Crab Island on the bayside. The looks on people's faces and the smiles you receive when you cruise by the docks are priceless! This adventure is $79.95 per person.

A Sunset Tiki Bar cruise costs $59 per person, and this is a truly heavenly experience. The sun sets in majestic fashion right over the bay waters throughout the late spring until late summer. Your photo shots will be truly spectacular! A Harbor Lights Tiki Bar cruise also costs $59 per person. The lights of Harborwalk Village, the towering Emerald Grande, and Holiday Isle are quite dazzling. Harborwalk Village features fabulous fireworks on Thursday nights all summer long with extra impressive pyrotechnic displays on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. This is an unforgettable experience, especially if you are with good friends on a floating Tiki Bar, watching the exciting display above while enjoying your favorite drinks down below. A special Harbor Sightseeing Cruise that lasts 1.5 hours is also available for only $49 per person.

Destin Tiki Boats offers private Tiki Boat charters using a recreational bare-boat charter/rental aboard our custom Tiki Boats for groups of 10. Book a charter and enjoy our amazing watercolor painted skies on the sunset cruises, or hop aboard for a front row seat to our Thursday fireworks shows. These charters provide for relaxing scenic views, dolphin watching, and swimming. As these trips are bare boat charters no provisions are provided. Bring food, alcohol and other beverages, and snorkel gear. Destin Tiki Boats is located at Dockside Watersports in the greater Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island area. Board our Tiki boats from our private docks and enjoy the scenery of Destin Harbor, Crab Island, and Choctawhatchee Bay.

Bare-Boat Charter

Uninspected private recreational vessels are chartered, leased or rented to an individual (Charterer) through a written agreement. The Owner does not provide a Master/Skipper or crew. The Charterer selects and contracts a Skipper/crew of their choosing that meets requirements set forth by the owner of the vessel and that meets Coast Guard requirements. The Charterer assumes responsibility for the vessel operation in accordance with federal and state maritime law for the duration of the charter. The Charterer assumes complete command, control and possession of the vessel as if it were their own. The Owner can recommend a list of Captains for the Charterer to hire, but cannot stipulate the selection. (Title 46 U.S. Code Section 2101 (35) states that a chartered 12 passenger vessel cannot be provided a crew “specified” by its owner to qualify as a Recreational Bareboat charter.) The Owner can require the Charterer to hire a Master/Skipper with a preset level of qualifications. Master/Skipper MUST hold at least a U.S.C.G. 25 Ton Master license or have demonstrated competency with our vessel and have a working knowledge of navigation , charts, compass and on board systems. In addition, the skipper must have extensive knowledge of our waterways and local rules and regulations. When making a reservation all skipper information must be provided to ensure the skipper meets requirements for driving the vessel. Master/Skippers work for the Charterer as an independent contractor on an “at will” basis as agreed between the two parties. We can provide you with a list of qualified skippers upon request.

Master/Skipper

Bare-Boat charter regulations require the Charterer to contact an independent Master/Skipper and pay them directly for a sum of the assigned fee set by the Master/Skipper. Bare-Boat regulations stipulate the “Owner” cannot specify the crew. A selection of Master/Skippers can be provided. Rates are determined by the Master/Skipper based on trip selection. Gratuity is not included.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our tiki boats are located on the Destin harbor at Heron Harbor Marina (314 Harbor Blvd, Destin FL 32541) which is very close to Crab Island.

To find us when you arrive at the marina, walk down to the dock (past the dock huts) and we will be located in the first slip on the left.

Yes, there is ample parking at Heron Harbor Marina, but please be aware that the marina charges a parking fee. We highly recommend Ubering or arranging private transportation so that you can relax and not worry about driving after the trip. 

We have many complimentary amenities provided on the boat, but here are a few items we recommend bringing:

• Food and drinks (B.Y.O.B.)

Yes! Bring all the food and drinks (including alcohol) you would like. We provide coolers with ice for you to use, as well as complimentary water.

Yes! Bring as much as you'll need for the duration of the trip because there are no alcohol sales at Crab Island.

*You may bring glass—such as champagne—aboard

**We do ask that you avoid bringing anything that contains red dye—such as red wine or red fruit juices—as they can stain the deck.

Yes! We provide complimentary coolers with ice for your use, but you may bring additional coolers if desired.

All boats are equipped with:

• Cooler with ice

Yes! Our boats are outfitted with a private, enclosed bathroom for your comfort and convenience.

We have a Fair Weather Policy meaning we only go if we think the weather will be good.

The Captain will make a 'go or no-go' decision 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.

If we make a no-go decision, we will first attempt to reschedule your trip. If we are unable to reschedule, we refund your payment in full.

Note: We do not cancel in advance because of a poor forecast. Destin has a unique ecosystem referred to as the Destin Dome where forecasts are often erroneous, so we decide the day of the trip.

So long as you cancel 14 days in advance, you will receive a full refund.

Our apologies, but we do not allow smoking on our vessels.

Because our trips are private, you get to decide what we do and where we go! Here are some things to consider:

• Crab Island
• Dolphin spotting
• Cruise around the Gulf, Bay, or Harbor (conditions permitting)
• Norriego Point

Either in the morning or anytime within 2 hours of high tide —which brings in super clear and clean waters from the Gulf of Mexico.

Crew fees (and any greatly appreciated gratuity) will be paid directly to the Captain after the trip. We accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, etc.

We had an absolute blast with Captain Al and Ryan! They were attentive, timely, and FUN! It was seamless. They included some floats and we brought some too which they happily accommodated. There were 10 of us and the tiki was a perfect atmosphere and included some shade! Special shout out to Ryan for filling our drinks too when we were in the water. BOOK THEM!!

I’ve been on Crab Island for years and this is this best trip I’ve ever had here! Captain Al and Captain Kristen are amazing! They made sure our bride had the best time and the rest of our group. We loved spending time with them and the rest of Crab Island! Thank you so much for the absolute best trip ever!!!!

Bachelorette party escapes fire at Tailfins Waterfront Grill in Destin

D ESTIN, Fla. -- An investigation is underway after fire broke out at a Tailfins Waterfront Grill in Destin just before 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Heavy flames and smoke were coming from the second and third floor.

No one was hurt, but some firefighters were taken to the hospital out of precaution.

For one family, the fire led to some scary moments as they were out to celebrate a good cause.

"A lot of people didn't even know that the fire was even going off because the alarm didn't go off right away, but one thing that we did notice was that the owner was actually on the third story with a fire extinguisher actually trying to put the fire out himself," John Stephens, Bluefish Pontoon Rentals owner said.

On Saturday night, WEAR News got a call from a grateful mother from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Her daughter's bachelorette party went up in flames as the fire tore through the restaurant in Destin.

"I was screaming, my daughter's in the restroom. Three servers approached us and said, we've got her," Mari Enders, Alex Enders' mother said.

"I immediately went up to go to the restroom. I was in there, had no idea what was going on," Alex said. "I walked out the door and I was just hit by a wall of black smoke. I couldn't even see my hand if I put it two feet in front of me.

The day started on a smooth note with a party of about 18 girls in Destin to celebrate Alex's younger sister's bachelorette party.

"We had this tiki cruise planned for months," Alex said. "We were told this restaurant would be perfect, and it's right next to the tiki cruise we're going on."

When the fire broke out, customers and the bachelorette party poured out.

But Alex was missing, still in the restroom.

"It's a miracle we all made it out alive," Alex said. "As my mom described how quickly that fire spread, it was just very scary."

Her mother rushed back into the burning building to find her

Luckily servers heard her daughter's yells and grabbed her, rushing her outside to safety.

Despite the tragedy, the women from Cincinnati are filled with gratitude.

"I felt like I couldn't walk away without saying how grateful we," Mari said. 

"This Uber driver who dropped our party off, he got that alert off on his phone," Mari said. "He pulled into our driver to check if we were okay."

The state fire marshal is investigating what led to the fire.

Mari says they're still in the area as of Saturday night, and staying in an Airbnb, before they head back to Cincinnati on Sunday.
