With that in mind, no hockey fan should miss the opportunity for a self-guided tour of the Hockey Hall of Fame , which is home to the greatest collection of hockey artifacts from around the world, plus themed exhibits, multimedia stations, theatres, larger-than-life statues, a replica NHL dressing room and the iconic Stanley Cup.

You can even try your hand at goaltending and shooting against life-sized animated versions of today’s top players in the NHLPA Game Time model rink, call the play-by-play and host your own SportsCentre in the TSN Broadcast Zone and much more.

Extremely impressed with the Hockey Hall of Fame. I would recommend anyone to go check it out. They had fun interactive pieces. The layout was well thought of. Loved the Habs locker room, the mask exhibit and of course, the Great Hall with the Stanley Cup Trophy. It was a fun couple of hours. -Konnor ( see more reviews )

In addition to being the #1 spot in the world for hockey fanatics, it’s also located in one of the most beautiful historic buildings in downtown Toronto. Although this isn’t one of the many guided Toronto tours, it’s an excellent place for a self-guided tour for fans of all ages.

This sprawling facility in Scarborough is one of the largest zoos in the world, with more than 6 miles of walking trails spread over 700 acres and 3,000 animals (representing more than 300 species) calling this place home. The zoo is separated into seven geographic regions, including the Tundra Trek, Eurasia Wilds and an African Rainforest Pavilion. There are also a plethora of seasonal activities to engage in. Along with a ropes course, there's a carousel and the Zoomobile Ride, which takes you through some of the park's various regions, including the Tundra Trek, the Canadian Domain and Eurasia. The Discovery Zone is also a top attraction for families, housing a 2-acre water play area, theater and an interactive wildlife experience designed for kids.

Recent visitors were impressed with the zoo, but warned that it's large, so you'll need to wear proper walking shoes. The ticket prices were a common gripe among reviewers, as was the zoo's location – there are no subway stations nearby, but the No. 86A bus route stops close to the main entrance. Others complained of the expensive food prices (hence, if you are on a budget, you may want to bring your food for a picnic).

Essence of Eastern Canada (End Montreal, 8 Days)

Our Tour Director (Laurel) was very experienced and kept us well informed in each area we visited with good local knowledge and humor . The driver (Karl) too is very good with his knowledge of the roads and we always felt safe with his driving, and he handled the luggage very carefully. We did the Ottawa river cruise, but felt a little let down with it, but maybe our expectations were unrealistic. The hotels were good, with only one being a bit too far out of town. I would recommend this tour to my friends, as all our fellow travelers were friendly and keen to get along which is important group travel.

Free time activities and what they are and where located is helpful.tour guide can offer to accompany a group interested to explore more during free leisure tome.Provide more detail info about the logistics of site visits. The tour itself was fantastic the tour guides were great hotels were fabulous If you only have a short time then this is perfect lots to see and we’ll organised My only issue was when we arrived at the said location to start the check in was chaos You need to have a list with peoples names making sure they are at the correct place and know which bus they are on and the buses were full do we did not even think we were getting on so it was very stressful Anyway once on all good Fabulous trip highly recommend From Josephine Sydney Australia

What people love about Toronto Tours

Great Tour, compared with last year tour, which way excellent The tour this year was good
I LOVED this tour. This was my first time as a solo traveller. The tour guide and the driver were both excellent. The experiences were incredible. Trying to arrange the amount of cities, and experiences solo, with hotels, travel etc is not possible for anywhere near the amount paid. Value for money is excellent. Hotels overall were good. There were some that were a little out of the cities, however the tour guide and driver did their best to accommodate by driving everyone back into the city if they wanted to go. Most of the experiences were really good. The Montmorency Falls as an extra trip with meal was a little pricey. There was not enough time at the Falls and the best view would be down the bottom. This could have been a free trip, without the meal, I would suggest this is looked at. Also in Montreal the tour guide who took us round, was not very engaging and it was difficult to hear her. Everything else was spot on. Well organised, excellent value for money, lovely people, beautiful country, wide range of experiences. LOVED IT. Will definitely be doing another tour.

Where to buy Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ tickets for Toronto, Vancouver

Taylor Swift performs in Tokyo, Japan, for "The Eras Tour" on February 7, 2024. Swift released her 11th album, "The Tortured Poets Department," on April 19, 2024. AP

Are there still tickets available to watch the “Eras Tour?” More importantly, is Taylor including TTPD in her setlist?

Taylor Swift is scheduled to hold nine consecutive shows in Canada this year as part of “The Eras Tour.” The tour, initially planned for Toronto and Vancouver from August 20 to December 8, has been extended to include additional cities such as Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto. This expansion has resulted in the addition of a total of 15 extra concerts to the North American leg of the tour.

As part of her 2024 North American tour, Taylor will also be performing in Miami, Florida (Hardrock Stadium), and New Orleans, Louisiana (Caesars Superdome), with the tour slated to commence on October 18.

Seats are sold out on Ticketmaster for most Canadian dates, so you’ll want to check out resale sites like StubHub or Vividseats for openings.

The battle is still on to try to get tickets to Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour, with the singer performing in Toronto in November and in Vancouver in December. But some Canadians have taken matters into their own hands to celebrate "The Tortured Poets Department" artist, planning a fan experience titled "Toronto’s Version: Taylgate ’24."

Throughout all six dates of the Swift's sold out tour dates in Toronto (Nov. 14 - 16 and Nov. 21 - 23), fans can head to the city's Metro Toronto Convention Centre to take over the North Building. Set to run between 1:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. ET each day.

The idea is that fans with tickets can meet up and celebrate with other Swifties before the show, and those without tickets can still have a communal Swift celebration. Activities will include an area to make and exchange friendship bracelets, places to add a little more sparkle to their Eras Tour glam, and there will also be live DJ sets, sing-along spaces and Taylgate merchandise for purchase.

There are also plans to have a parent and guardian "waiting lounge" for anyone picking up Swift fans from the concert.

"I have two teenage daughters and they want a place to hang out with all their friends – not just the ones they’re sitting with at the show," a statement from event producer and co-founder Bram Goldstein reads. "With our venue being steps from the Rogers Centre, this event just made sense."

"We have a commitment to create the best possible experience for the artist’s fans and Torontonians; both those who did and didn’t get tickets to the big show," Joel Wolinsky, producer and co-founder of the event said in a statement.

Tickets to "Toronto’s Version: Taylgate ’24" are available for $55 at torontosversion.com for all six dates. While there haven't been any brand sponsorships announced yet, the event organizer have committed to supporting of two charities: Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Canada and Daily Bread Food Bank .

“We look forward to welcoming fans for Taylgate ’24, and we’re thrilled to be hosting this fantastic event,” Christine Tse, vice president of marketing and communications at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre said in a statement. "Special events like this play a crucial role in drawing out-of-town visitors to Toronto and generate such a positive impact on the local economy."

Getting around Toronto may be a bit difficult this weekend, but multiple cultural, food and sporting events are sure to keep people entertained throughout the city.

The city is anticipating multiple public transit delays over the next few days, coinciding with some significant road closures in the downtown corridor for the 2024 Sporting Life 10K run.

According to a TTC service announcement, the Line 1 subway will be closed both directions on Saturday between Davisville and Sheppard-Yonge stations for planned track repairs.

Shuttle buses will be running, and service is expected to resume Sunday at 8 a.m.

  • TTC announces improved service for 24 bus routes starting next week

Metrolinx announced significant service delays along the GO Train's Lakeshore West route, due to construction on Burloak Drive in Oakville and Burlington.

While trains from Union Station to Oakville GO will run every 15 minutes, service between Oakville and West Harbour GO will run hourly both Saturday and Sunday. Regular service resumes Monday.

Road closures

The annual Sporting Life 10-kilometre run will close significant portions of Yonge Street and Lakeshore Boulevard W. this weekend, between Lawrence Avenue and Fort York Boulevard.

Road closures for the run begin at 4 a.m. and organizers expect all streets to re-open by 1 p.m.

A detailed list of race road closures can be found here .

The city also announced the following street closures due to construction:

Wellesley Street W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, between Bay Street and Queen's Park Crescent.

Bleecker Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, between Carleton Street and Wellesley Street.

King Street W. until Tuesday, May 21, between Mowat Avenue and Fraser Avenue.

A full list of Toronto road closures and restrictions can be found here .

A pair of perennial markets within walking distance of downtown are opening their stalls this weekend.

The Toronto Flower Market enters its 11th season on Saturday.

The market, which hosts a number of floral vendors, along with numerous food, wellbeing and decor stalls, will be open on the second Saturday of May, July, September and October, and the third Saturday of June and August, in the parking lot at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

Toronto's annual artisan market will also open on Sunday in Trinity Bellwoods Park.

The open air market offers visitors a ranger of ceramics, jewelry, personal care products and food from local vendors. It will be open on the second Sunday of every month from May to September.

  • Toronto is getting a new bridge. Here's what it will look like

The University of Toronto is hosting its annual Science Rendezvous festival on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 100 St. George St. The event encourages public engagement in various scientific fields through demonstrations, activities and experiments.

For those hoping to travel the world while staying put in Toronto, a new event at Fort York National Historic Site looks to bring visitors' taste buds on a global tour.

Billed as "Canada's first ever Outdoor Ethnic Food & Wine Festival" on Eventbrite, Spring into Spice introduces people to food and wine from a wide array of cultures, including African, Caribbean, Indian, Latin American and Thai.

The event will take place from noon until 10 p.m. on Saturday.
