The itinerary of the Phang Nga Bay Eco-friendly kayaking tours at a glance (but please be aware the itinerary can vary slightly on occasion due to weather conditions and factors beyond our control)

5:30 am – Pickup from the hotel and transfer to Ao Po Pier (depending on hotel location)

6:30 am – Departure from Ao Po pier for Phang Nga Bay

7:40 am – First stop at Panak Island, kayaking/canoeing in the cave and paddling around its internal lagoon

9:20 am – Second stop at Hong Island, kayaking/canoeing in the fantastic scenery

10:15 am – Sail to James Bond island

10:40 am – Get off the boat to walk around Ping Gan island (“leaning rock”) to take lots of beautiful shots of this famous rock (Koh Tapu) used for many memorable scenes in the James Bond movie, “The Man with the Golden Gun”

Depending on conditions, Koh Phanak tends to be the first stop aboard our tour and offers the chance for some incredible cave exploring.

The area is full of hidden caves and lagoons to explore. We try and anchor at the most accessible location depending on the conditions of the tide.

Tour Itinerary

Koh hong canoeing stop.

For the next stop on the tour, we’ll get you out of the boat again and into a canoe for a lovely up close adventure into the overgrowth of the Koh Hong shoreline.

Our expert Thai guide will lead you right up close to the limestone caves and hongs that are only accessible by canoe.

Burn some calories aboard your canoe while you absorb the idyllic surrounds and explore areas of Koh Hong rarely ventured to by most boat tours.

Koh Tapu (James Bond Island)

What many of you have finally been waiting for, we next stop at the world famous James Bond Island. Thanks to the early start time, our boat tends to arrive at this keenly sought tourist stop well before the hoards of boats. This gives you the most peaceful experience of Koh Tapu and provides you the opportunity to soak in the experience in the best way possible.

This limestone marvel is instantly recognizable and the perfect place for you to take pictures, and make your family and friends green with envy.

Treasure Island /Kadu Beach

Highly dependent on the weather conditions of the day, our next stop is at either Treasure Island or nearby Kadu Beach.

At Treasure Island you’ll be shown Secret Hong – a cave only reachable by swimming through the narrow entry point, which reveals an intimate hidden cave.

At Kadu Beach, you’ll be able to chill within a small bay with a glorious beach that offers you the chance to swim around the shallows and cool off in ultimate comfort.

Koh Yao Noi

The next stop sees us planting our feet back on the shore as we depart the boat for a traditional Thai lunch at a fantastic local Thai restaurant. Whet your appetite while discussing the lasting memories you have already built up to this point!

Tropical Beach

With tiredness creeping in, we’ll next seek out the most beautiful beaches across the region to swim, relax and soak in the sun. The exact location will depend on the current tide and weather conditions, but there is no doubt the destination will be one that delivers ultimate relaxation.

‘’Simba Sea Trips are amazing’’

My wife and I spent a week in Phuket and we ended up doing two Simba Tours, after being thoroughly impressed by our first tour.

We did the Phi Phi island tour, and the James Bond island tour. Both were amazing and I would recommend doing them both because they were very different from each other. The Phi Phi islands tour had snorkeling and a lot of pristine beach and lagoon locations, while the Jamea Bond island tour had no snorkeling but sea kayaking instead, as well as cave exploration.

Both times the driver showed up at our hotel in Karon beach early, and was very pleasant to deal with. He takes you directly to their office in the Royal Phuket Marina, where a light morning snack is waiting for you (boiled eggs, coffee, crackers, fruit, etc.). There's then a briefing of the tour on a large map that is very comprehensive so that everyone understands the days schedule and can ask questions. Both times the briefing was done by one of the tour guides named Harry who speaks perfect English. The tour guides themselves were amazing, we had Woody on our first tour and Harry on our second tour and I can guarantee that these guys are top notch. They really do avoid all of the masses, for example we were the first ones on the James Bond island, which apparently is very very busy normally. The tour guides know when the popular spots get busy and using the smaller boat (we had approximately 16 people on our first tour and 15 on the second), they are able to get in and out before the masses. The crew on the boat such as the captain and boat boy were always very friendly, often taking candid pictures of us, which they offer to email to you afterwards at no cost. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Highly recommend.
