WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 date, location: Perth, Australia to host annual PPV event in February
Wwe travels to australia for the first time in six years.
The Road to WrestleMania 40 will drive through Perth, Australia. WWE announced on Thursday that Elimination Chamber: Perth will take place at Optus Stadium on Feb. 24.
WWE returns to Australia for the first time since 2018 in what will be the company's only pay-per-view event in the Asia-Pacific region in 2024. The announcement comes during arguably the most successful stretch for Australian superstars in WWE history. Women's world champion Rhea Ripley -- the first female Australian champion in WWE and second Australian champ, behind fiancee Buddy Murphy -- is one of WWE's most popular acts at present. Fellow superstars Bronson Reed, Grayson Waller, Indi Hartwell and Nia Jax were also born in Australia.
"I'm beyond proud to represent Australia every single time I step inside a WWE ring and to bring a Premium Live Event to Perth is a dream come true," Ripley said in a press release. "Get ready Australia, because Mami is coming home."
The announcement of Elimination Chamber rounds out WWE's major event calendar for the Road to WrestleMania, an annual season that begins with the Royal Rumble in January and concludes with the titular showcase in April. The upcoming Rumble takes place in Tampa Bay and WrestleMania 40 will occur over two nights in Philadelphia.
WWE's upcoming excursion to Australia continues the company's increased effort to host major events globally. In 2023, WWE held annual shows in Canada, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, England, and a non-televised special in India.

Tickets are now on sale for Perth’s huge WWE event, Elimination Chamber
- Published on
- November 10, 2023
Get ready to start calling Perth the events capital down under; it’s on a bit of a roll and the WA capital has secured another major spectacle helping to put Australia on the map; a WWE Premium Live Event.
It’s been five years since we last saw WWE in Australia; a pay-per-view showcase, the Super ShowDown. But the drought is over, with Perth locked in to host the 2024 Elimination Chamber. It’s confirmation of news and talk that’s been bubbling away most of this year.
The spectacle would prelude WrestleMania, the company’s largest annual event that’s known and recognised by even the most casual of wrestling fans.
John Cena’s latest WWE appearance sparks speculation Australia could host WrestleMania
This also comes off the back of the WWE entering a new phase, as UFC-owned company Endeavour has bought the entire WWE empire to merge operations and explore cross promotion.
These event talks come after World Wrestling Entertainment – WWE – cancelled a multi-city tour of Australia because of scheduling conflicts. But there’s never been a better time to bring WWE back down under. Why? We’ll get to that.
But here’s what we know about the event that will again see WWE in Australia.
When is the WWE in Australia and what’s the event?
What: ELIMINATION CHAMBER, Premium Live Event
Where: Optus Stadium, Perth
When: Saturday, February 24, 2024
A Premium Live Event is one of the WWE’s featured annual events, like WrestleMania and SummerSlam, treated like a traditional Pay Per View. Elimination Chamber will be held on Saturday, February 24 , tying in nicely with Australia’s sporting landscape as well; before the footy season commences.
Optus Stadium is one of the country’s newest sporting venues; it’s the second-largest AFL stadium in the country, with capacity at 60,000.
The capacity of the AFL’s 9 main venues and what their attendance records currently are
This announcement ends a five year drought of live WWE in Australia and will be the only PLE in the Asia-Pacific region in 2024.
“Perth is the perfect location for a major WWE Premium Live Event in Australia, following a series of record-breaking WWE events in iconic international destinations,” said WWE Senior Vice President Chris Legentil in a media release.
2024 Elimination Chamber Tickets
Tickets became available, as of Friday November 10.

As mentioned above, now is the perfect time for the WWE to be cashing in in Australia. Let’s get into why.
The Australian sweet spot in the WWE right now
One of the incumbent Women’s Champions right now – there’s a Smackdown but also a Raw champ in the Women’s ranks – is Adelaide’s own Rhea Ripley . She claimed the Smackdown Women’s championship in one of the highlight matches at WrestleMania earlier this year, beating wrestling great Charlotte Flair in a brutal and lengthy affair.
And it’s no surprise that the wrestling has looked to Western Australia for their next event down under considering that Perth held UFC 284 just months ago.
The UFC-owned Endeavour has bought the WWE empire and here’s what fans are thinking
Alongside Ripley, there’s Bronson Reed rising the Men’s ranks. He’s a 330-pound mountain of a man; his signature move is called the Tsunami , where he essentially climbs up to the top of the rope, jumps and lands on his prey. Real or fake, it would not at all be fun to be underneath that. Reed will wear a major belt at some point; he was within striking distance of Austin Theory’s United States Championship in May.
Ripley and Reed headline a growing list of talent.
“I’m beyond proud to represent Australia every single time I step inside a WWE ring and to bring a Premium Live Event to Perth is a dream come true,” Ripley added.
How to watch WWE in Australia
Both WWE brands can be streamed via Kayo .
Both Raw and Smackdown – brands of WWE – are a part of Foxtel’s offering.
Even the featured, pay-per-view events associated with the WWE these days are on Kayo.

WWE Global Warning Tour: Melbourne 2002
After 16 years, the Stamford-based company hosted the Global Warning Tour in 2002 at Colonial Stadium in Melbourne. It was a house tour which had pay-per-view potential matches, where The Rock vs Triple H vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Undisputed Championship main evented the show.
Following the success of the show, tour of WWE in Australia came on a regular basis from 2003 to 2019 for live house shows, but got disbanded in 2020 & 2021 following COVID-19 pandemic protocols.
