Concerts, gigs, live performances and other musical events, living up to the name: aomg’s follow the movement in manila is above ordinary, when jay park said in his song, “ain’t no party like an aomg party”, he meant it..

Stretching into a four-hour-long concert, AOMG artists, Simon Dominic, Loco, Gray, LeeHi, Yugyeom, and Woo showed nothing but the best experience for the fans to remember when they paved the way in the AOMG WORLD TOUR 2023 – FOLLOW THE MOVEMENT Asian leg in New Frontier Theater last January 15, 2023.

Thanks to PULP Live World , one of the leading Korean hip-hop and R&B record labels have finally landed on the Philippine shores, kicking off the new year right as one of the first shows in 2023 in the country. As the AOMG’s six multi-talented and versatile artists rocked the stage, the night went on a colorful genre performances switch: from hard-hitting, bouncy hip-hop beats to heartfelt ballads and slow R&B songs with intimate and hilarious interactions, here’s a recap on what AOMG brought to the table.

AOMG

WOO, WOO, WOO!

Opening the concert strong with his signature black bennie look, one of Show Me the Money 6 ’s front runners, Woo Won Jae or more commonly known as WOO started his set with “R.I.P.” plucked directly from his 1st Album, BLACK OUT which is a bouncy hip-hop piece that made the crowd jump from the get-go. In another song from the same album, he did not let the crowd breathe when he transitioned to “Chik Chik Pok Pok”, originally featuring Jvcki Wai and SIMO (MA).

WOO proved that he belonged on that AOMG stage when he hit the crowd with the fast-paced “Chingiz Khan” showcasing his rap skills and squeezing in the song “Devil” originally with Code Kunst, the 3rd chapter of the music video SignHere. Closing in his powerful set albeit it being short, he showed his intimate side with the song “ME” from his latest EP comma , telling the crowd that he poured his soul into writing the song, with lyrics showing on the big screens so that fans can easily connect with the message he was trying to portray.

Despite being a last-minute addition to the line-up for the tour’s Asian leg, WOO showed beyond doubt that being an opener–which is usually a difficult task for any act–is a breezy work with his command and made the crowd have it with them repeating his name over and over like a chant.

Manila says Hi! To LeeHi

One of the most recognizable voices and known names in the Korean music industry, LeeHi opened her set and mellowed out the crowd with her most well-known songs that made you feel nostalgic and experience emotions, her usual effect on everyone who hears her music.

Starting with her most-listened and most popular song “ONLY” from her overall 4th full album 4 ONLY , a release that marked her boarding the AOMG family, LeeHi made the fans feel that they belong in the story by letting them sing the choruses. Continuing the mellow train singing “Breathe”, another familiar ballad from her album SEOULITE that she delivered flawlessly as if it came straight from the actual recorded song. These ballads reminded us that LeeHi remains one of the strongest vocalists in South Korea as she is simply accompanied by nothing but a simple stage, and still able to immediately seize the attention of every person in the venue.

AOMG

Speeding the mood a bit, LeeHi sang “Savior”, another song from her 4 ONLY album and originally with B.I., a crowd favorite that made you dance a little, and digging into her old discographies, she officially pumped up the crowd with her song “Rose” from her 2013 album FIRST LOVE .

Bringing out some backup dancers signaling an upbeat set of tunes, LeeHi added “No One” and went way back to her first song, “1,2,3,4” to keep the fans energized while showing everyone that despite the only female act of the night, she can keep up with a fast-paced AOMG stage.

“You are our real thing right?” she asked the crowd, to which the fans answered with a resounding YES. The fans proved that all right when she asked them to chant “머리 어깨 무릎 발” for the song “H.S.K.T” and the fans did not miss a beat. LeeHi responded to the enthusiasm by impressively rapping the song’s featured artist Wonstein’s rap part, showing how much of a versatile artist she is. Capping her performances for the night, she danced to the retro-styled funky song “Red Lipstick”, originally with Yoonmirae, leading us into a complete full circle of mood from dulcet to upbeat.

AOMG

Loco for Loco

If you’re into Korean hip-hop, it’s almost impossible to not have Loco in your playlist. As the original winner of the most recognized rap reality TV Korean show, Show Me the Money , Loco proved to be a household name in Korean hip-hop as he exhibited his talent on the Manila stage.

Starting his set with an explosive song titled “MBTI” a song produced by GRAY, Loco showed that he didn’t come to play and was serious. The fans matched his energy while he bounced with everyone and told the crowd, “You guys are so hot!”. He also shared that he visited the Philippines when he was young and he went to Cebu in his small talk with the crowd, while preparing to open a full-blown party portion of the evening.

Performing songs from his EP Summer Go Loco , “Party Band” and “OPPA” that made you feel like the summer came too early and it wasn’t too much when he sang “Too Much” from his only LP release, BLEACHED , originally featuring DEAN. Adding to the lineup of incredible songs, Loco showcased two songs in collaboration with Hwa Sa, which got us all ‘shipping’ the duo because of their chemistry. Said songs are called “Don’t” and “Somebody!”.

aomg world tour manila

Rendering the usually confident rapper speechless, the Filipino fans surprised the artist by singing the song “Say Yes”, an OST for the popular Korean drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo after he shared that he heard that the song was popular in the country. As it has been a long time since he performed and recorded the song for the drama, he promised that he will practice the song to sing for the fans and immediately fulfilled his promise later when he came out to sing the song cutely in front of the fans with lyrics on hand.

In line with this, he tackled “It Takes Time”, the last song from his act before he shook the grounds with the next portion.

Immediately making the crowd jump up from their seats and dance, he performed “ON IT + BOSS”, a song from Show Me the Money 4 , and “No Manners”. No manners indeed when he decided to set aside his jacket and went topless, sending the crowd into a frenzy. He topped that performance by spraying water to the crowd like how rockstars do, even hyping them and making sure that his act is not something you easily forget.

Who could forget Loco really, he led a whole generation of rappers when he took the crown for SMTM 1 and continued to have collaborations with the biggest artists in the industry like Baekhyun of EXO, Heize, Crush, and many more.

aomg world tour manila

Get Colorful with GRAY

Another household name in the Korean Hip-Hop scene, the singer, rapper, and producer GRAY steered the fans to a colorful act, opening it with a song that goes back to his roots, “Dream Chase” from the album CALL ME GRAY . As if being transported to different times and places, GRAY showed us that he has a vibrant discography along with the hypnotizing visuals that accompanied on stage, which moved from the groovy, “Show Window” featuring pH-1 from his album grayground. to a slow R&B “TMI” and then jumping back up to a funky track of “Summer Night”.

“Kamusta ka?” GRAY greeted the fans, a fail-safe kilig factor for Filipino fans everywhere when the artist makes an extra effort to greet the crowd. GRAY then continued his show with “Close 2 U”, “Baby Don’t Cry” and “Make Love” three songs from the album grayground. and followed it with a synth-rich track “Moon Blue.” Being a skilled producer, GRAY gave the fans a treat when he played the melodica for the song “Lose Control”, which was most likely the inception of most of his creative and colorful tracks. Joining a handful of artists for the webtoon She is My Type , GRAY contributed to the series with the song “STAY THE NIGHT”. A serenade? GRAY got you. He slowed the mood for a moment when he sang “U”, another great track from his grayground . album.

Joining GRAY on stage, Loco once again came out on stage and performed “Just Do It” and “Late Night” completing the stage of the well-rounded artist that witnessed and expressed how energetic and welcoming the Filipinos are in one of his small talks with the fans.

Yugyeom in the sea of Green

Undoubtedly one of the most awaited acts of the night, the Aghases never failed to show up for all of the members of GOT7 including their maknae , raising their green-colored lightsticks before Yugyeom even stepped on stage for support. Reciprocating this act, he performed “I Want U Around” from his EP P oint Of View: U , a slow R&B track that helps the audience find their groove in between the beats.

Following the same genre, he performed “Take You Down” and “Lights” both coming from his single release, Take You Down , and excited the fans, even more, when he approached them, closer than any fan would ever dream of. Coming out the third time and upping the atmosphere a bit, Loco came out to add his voice on stage with Yugyeom with the song “All About U” while the latter showed off his dance skills, proving to everyone that he’s still that incredible dancer we all love.

aomg world tour manila

He continued his set with “Running Through the Rain” accompanied by GRAY who does the synths and instrumentals and GRAY sang the song “All Your Fault” next, hailing also from his EP Point of View: U and “Love the Way.”

Being a notorious but humble dancer, he let his backup dancers have their light under the spotlight, with solos and freestyle the crowd welcomed. After the two dancers had their style showcased, Yugyeom also showed off a bit of krumping and locking, all these talents under the song Chingiz Khan by WOO. We love a humble king!

Ending his set, he proudly sang his latest 2023 release, “PONYTAIL” featuring Sik-K, not missing a single step on the dance floor.

Yugyeom also reminisced on the previous times he was in the Philippines, from coming in as a GOT7 member or just a solo artist, he couldn’t help but still be in awe of the welcome he was getting. The appreciation was evident as towards the end of the whole show, he went down to the crowd and took a couple of selfies with his fans, signing paraphernalia and merchandise, to give them back the love they have been giving Yugyeom since Day 1.

aomg world tour manila

SPELL HIS NAME. It’s Simon D-O-M-I-N-I-C oh oh!

Opening strong despite being the last act of the night and garnering the largest cheers from the venue yet, Simon Dominic manifested the phrase, “Save the best for last!” and showed that belongs to him.

The Filipino fans showed how impressively passionate they are when they can catch up with his single “DAx4” even though the chorus will get non-fans tongue-tied. No one in the room faltered that night so he then transitioned to one of his most famous tracks, “Simon Dominic” with fans spelling his name as a part of the lyrics regardless of it being released way back in 2015. He even garnered more cheers when he squeezed a “Magandang gabi po!” a phrase you rarely hear from international artists. This only showed his dedication to the fans, the same way fans are dedicated to him.

“This is my first time coming to Manila right?” he asked. “One of the things I’m surprised is… how crazy you guys are. So crazyyyyy!” he pointed out before letting the room bounce with the songs “POSE!”, “room type”, “ya ain’t gang”, and “GOTT” from his 2019 EP release, No Open Flames .

Giving a kilig factor to the fans, he said he’s looking for his “Wifey” from the crowd, a song that featured CAMO.

aomg world tour manila

As he is one of the most prominent names in the K-hip-hop industry, he had a whole portion of all the best songs he was featured in. He sang “Baddest Nice Guys” a song originally he was featured on led by Jay Park and Krin, “NO THANKSXXX” with Epik High, MINO, and The Quiett, “At Night” and “make her dance” with Loco, who came out again to sing the song with him on stage and still keeping Jay Park’s spirit in the house, he performed “MOMMAE”.

Closing the set with a slow R&B song that was showcased originally in Show Me the Money 5 , and bringing out GRAY who was featured in the song, Simon got comfortable with “Comfortable.”

Simon talked the most to fans that night with hilarious banters about the cheeky banner brought by a fan–which he could not get over the whole night and taking the piece of paper home, drawing a fan’s next tattoo, and telling everyone that as much as he would like to date the Magagandang Filipinas–meaning beautiful Filipinas–(another Filipino word he learned and played with MAGANDA FOREVER), he doesn’t like long-distance relationships or giving bottled water to fans who were thirsty, nearly tripping in the process, it’s hard to believe that it’s his first time interacting with the Filipino fans. A contradiction to the strong powerful rapper that he is, he showed that there’s more than meets the eye and despite the rapper image he has built over the years, he’s still that humble, approachable idol you feel close to.

aomg world tour manila

The Avengers of Hip-Hop: Encore

The group closed the night with “119 Remix”, “UPSIDE DOWN”, “TTFU”, “Party for the Night”, “ON AIR”, “WE ARE” and, “WHO YOU” in evincing the power AOMG label has in all genres of music and how they’re not the people you mess with but the people you respect in the industry.

Follow the Movement in Manila was an all-out eye-candy event as well because the production did not fell short with the stage set and visualization that matched the bigger stages of KPOP.

It was a good chaotic last hour stretched as if all security measures were scratched. It showed that despite being giants in the scene, meeting fans and getting closer to them by going to different ticket tiers–like Loco and Simon Dominic running close to the Royalty area, just behind the VIP Standing tier–or LeeHi almost diving into the crowd desperately looking for a pen to sign an album a fan brought or Yugyeom going around the area for a selfie with whoever asks for it while GRAY and WOO take cameras from the crowd for a selfie is more important.

aomg world tour manila

The passion the fans showed proved that they are the “real ones” as LeeHi kept on repeating the whole night when the whole venue did not fall short on any of the songs, noting that there are 6 artists who mostly sang the lyrics in Hangul.

The music transcended through space and geographical borders and making it yet again, another win for music in general as it’s unofficially declared as the universal language. And we may not know when is the next concert but we can hope that it should happen soon, wishing for a possible whole AOMG family line-up. We are incredibly glad that we witnessed a commanding set of talents and we await their next step in music as we follow the movement.

Simon Dominic, GRAY, LeeHi, YUGYEOM, and more go above and beyond at AOMG's 'FOLLOW THE MOVEMENT' Manila concert — gig report

The rumours are true: there’s no party like an AOMG party.

Over the weekend (15 January), Simon Dominic, Loco, GRAY, LeeHi, YUGYEOM, and Woo took over Manila’s New Frontier Theater  to give Filipino fans a weekend to remember. As one of the first shows in the city for 2023, artists from the famed Korean hip-hop label kicked off the new year on an incredible high as they go above and beyond for their   FOLLOW THE MOVEMENT tour.

aomg world tour manila

Presented by  PULP Live World , AOMG brought everyone to their feet, throwing a four-hour (yes, four  hours) party that still had everyone wanting more. From intensely energetic performances to heartwarming sing-alongs to hilarious spiels, here's everything that went down at the Manila's stop of the label's 2023 world tour.

BANDWAGON TV

aomg world tour manila

Woo was a last-minute addition to the Asia leg of the FOLLOW THE MOVEMENT tour, but a much-needed one at that. There couldn’t have been a better act to have opened the highly anticipated show; from the moment his name graced the stage, the excitement was palpable as everyone came together as one to jump, dance, and scream to the rapper’s certified party starter ‘R.I.P’ .

aomg world tour manila

There’s something to be said about Woo’s stage presence. The rapper had a way of instantly commanding attention with barely any effort, when he told the crowd to jump or scream his name louder, everyone complied, no questions asked.

Woo was given the difficult task of not only opening and setting the mood of the concert but doing so with only four songs. In spite of the challenge, the rapper made an impact that lasted the entire duration of the four-hour show. In the pockets of silence and darkness between each act, you couldn’t help but mentally revisit his set, wanting to relive his performances of ‘Chik Chik Pok Pok’, ‘Chingiz Khan’, and ‘Me ’ already.

aomg world tour manila

Unlike Woo, LeeHi began her set on a mellow note, serenading the crowd with her heart-touching tracks ‘ONLY’ and ‘BREATHE’. It was a change of pace from the high-intensity and energetic act we just witnessed, but one that never felt out of place.

aomg world tour manila

Backed by only a single spotlight, the singer instantly captivated the crowd. It’s no secret that LeeHi was talented, but those few first minutes reminded us why she’s one of the most impressive vocalists in Korean music. Despite being so small, she had huge presence and the vocal talents to match.

aomg world tour manila

The flow and curation of LeeHi’s was so satisfying. With each song, the energy rose as the singer guided our emotions and hearts through her stellar discography. From the gentle grooves of ‘Saviour’ to the lively retro synths of ‘Red Lipstick’ , LeeHi moved seamlessly between making us cry and getting us to dance.

aomg world tour manila

The moment Loco materialised on stage, it was as if the energy shifted as we were instantly fed with so much power and intensity as the rapper opened what we all already knew was going to be a memorable set with ‘MBTI’ .

aomg world tour manila

In the span of 35 minutes, Loco showcased so much versatility, highlighting the many sides of his musicality. The rapper’s set started with his fuzzy feel-good tracks like ‘Party Band’, ‘OPPA’, and ‘Too Much’ that the crowd vibed to before he declared a full-blown party with ‘Like Water’ and ‘No Manners’. Clothes were thrown to the side while water was thrown to the crowd as everyone from the first floor to the balcony jumped and danced.

Loco was undeniably one of the strongest performers of the night. His entire performance was jam-packed with so much fun and fire, never letting the energy falter for even a second.

aomg world tour manila

And of course, we couldn’t forget when the Filipino crowd left the rapper speechless as they sang his track ‘Say Yes’, an OST from the 2016 drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo , which he later practised backstage to perform again in the finale.

aomg world tour manila

GRAY is no stranger to anyone a fan of Korean hip-hop and R&B, with his name whispered on every track he’s produced (most of which are the genre’s most popular offerings). So, there was no doubt he was one of the most highly anticipated performers on the tour but what he showcased during his set was more than what we could have ever expected.

aomg world tour manila

Ushering us into the latter half of the evening, GRAY greeted the crowd with ‘Dream Chaser’ before diving into the colourful tracks of his vibrant discography, like ‘Show Window’, ‘STAY THE NIGHT’, ‘Summer Night’, and ‘U’ . You, of course, have to note his performance of ‘LOSE CONTROL’ where he played the melodica and guided everyone into a sing-along.

aomg world tour manila

The rapper had not only the most sonically pleasing performance of the night, with GRAY moving so effortlessly between singing, rapping, and playing the keyboard, but also one of the most visually hypnotic sets with some of the most vivid and fascinating visuals we’ve seen—that green golf course he had during ‘Baby Don’t Cry’ will forever be remembered.

aomg world tour manila

The last time we saw YUGYEOM was during the Manila stop of his solo tour last year. While it was at the same venue and he performed a similar setlist, there was something different about the GOT7 member this time around.

aomg world tour manila

With an entire tour now behind him, the singer had a new sense of confidence and power you couldn’t help but be in awe of. He carried himself with so much certainty. No longer was he that timid, heartwarming (yet still an incredible) performer greeting his fans alone for the first time but now, a reassured soloist whose only goal was to give everyone a night to remember.

aomg world tour manila

Whether he was hitting falsettos or breaking it down on stage, YUGYEOM performed with so much precision and grace. His talents were undeniable as he kept everyone’s attention with captivating performances of ‘Take You Down’, ‘All About U’, ‘Love The Way’, and even his latest single ‘Ponytail’ .

SIMON DOMINIC

aomg world tour manila

If there was one name you were remembering that night, it was Simon Dominic—and not only because he had a song spelling it out.

aomg world tour manila

As the last performer of the night, the rapper had a lot to live up to but if there was anyone that could surpass that challenge, it was him. The veteran hip-hop act had no problem taking over that stage and showcasing why he’s one of Korea’s most respected rappers. Simon Dominic ran out to ‘DAx4’ before performing the most highly anticipated performance of the night, ‘Simon Dominic’ , which as expected had everyone jumping and screaming along to.

aomg world tour manila

He then performed mashups of his most famed tracks and collaborations, like ‘POSE!’, ‘Wifey’, ‘Ya Ain’t Gang’, ‘NO THANXXX’, and ‘Comfortable’ , as well as the remix of Jay Park ’s crowd favourite ‘MOMMAE’ .

aomg world tour manila

Beyond his stoic and intimidating demeanour when he was spitting his fast-paced verses (that honestly had us out of breath), there’s a warmth to the rapper when he takes the stage. Offering the most entertaining spiels and in-between-songs moments of the night, Simon Dominic felt like a friend you were reuniting with after a long while. Without an ounce of awkwardness, the rapper interacted with the crowd with so much ease as he read signs (particularly pointing out a cheeky sign that he later took home), playfully teased his translator, and gave us the now iconic “ maganda forever” (meaning beautiful forever in Filipino)—which he said in the same way Black Panther declares “Wakanda forever”.

Throughout the night, Simon Dominic, Loco, GRAY, LeeHi, YUGYEOM, and Woo held their own, proving their power in their own ways and so once they all came together for their grand finale, it was hard not to bask in their caliber. They all performed the many collaborations they had between themselves and the label, with everyone shining together just as much as they did individually.

aomg world tour manila

Four hours is a long time to keep people on their feet, entertained and dialled into what was happening on stage but AOMG did that without even breaking a sweat. The flow of the entire concert (and even within each artist’s own set) was so well thought-out, with every act setting the stage for the next.

aomg world tour manila

We also particularly have to note the incredibly mesmerising stage visuals and lighting of the entire show. There was so much to look at and so much going on, and yet everything worked in sync to amplify each and every artist’s performance.

aomg world tour manila

During her set, LeeHi shared that this tour was where their real fans were going to be and as the night progressed, you could see that statement hold true. There was not a song the crowd didn’t sing along to or dance to, with so much energy and intensity thrown back to the artists on stage. The impact of their music, from across the region beyond geographical and language barriers, was incredible to witness live. If you were to take anything from this night, it was that we all followed the movement and loved every bit of it.

Since then, he has released powerful tracks that dominated mainstream music charts in Korea including the catchy single “Simon Dominic” in 2015. His first full-length album DARKROOM in 2018 and EP No Open Flames in 2019 have further received recognition from both critics and the general public alike. This includes production credits in hits such as Jay Park’s “MOMMAE (Feat. Ugly Duck)”, Woo’s “We Are (Feat. Loco & GRAY)”, and Zion.T’s “Two Melodies (Feat. Crush)”.

LEEHI is known for her soulful sound that encompasses a wide variety of genres. She debuted in 2012 and since then became a remarkable artist in both K-Pop and K-R&B industries. After joining AOMG, LEEHI released her album, 4ONLY, and won R&B Track of The Year at the 2021 Korean Hip-Hop Awards for her songs “HOLO” and “ONLY”. LEEHI vows to continue releasing music for her fans and keep serenading them with her charming works.

The aomg crew left its filipino fans in awe during their follow the movement concert in manila held last weekend.

Simon Dominic, LOCO, GRAY, Lee Hi, YUGYEOM, and Woo spent an evening full of fun and music with their Filipino fans in their recently held concert, AOMG World Tour 2023: Follow The Movement in Manila!

aomg world tour manila

Despite the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the artists from the Korean hip-hop label made sure that all the attendees had the best time. They threw a 4-hour-long party with a setlist that consists of some of their greatest hits.

We’re finally in! ✨ Stay tuned for more updates on #AOMGinMANILA happening here at the New Frontier Theater! #AOMGWORLDTOUR2023 #AOMGinMNL2023 @pulpliveworld pic.twitter.com/x5AeQfqzY5 — hellokpop (@hellokpop) January 15, 2023

AOMG World Tour 2023: Follow The Movement in Manila was presented by one of the renowned concert organizers in the country, Pulp Live World. It took place on January 15 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. Aptly described by Pulp, the concert was a “show  that’s definitely above the ordinary.”

WOO AND HIS ENERGETIC SETLIST

aomg world tour manila

The AOMG crew kicked off the festivities with an energetic opening from Woo. He was a last-minute addition to the Asia leg of the tour but he went above and beyond with his stage charisma and talents.

As soon as his name appeared on the huge screen onstage, the crowd filled the venue with loud chants and cheers. Donning a simple sleeveless shirt with a beanie on his head, Woo looked cool as ever while performing his first song of the night “R.I.P.”

aomg world tour manila

There couldn’t have been a better act to have opened the much-awaited concert other than Woo. He commands attention like no other and he knows how to set the mood of the night.

After asking the crowd to jump or scream his name louder, he went on to perform his three other amazing tracks “Pop It,” “Devil,” “Chik Chik Pok Pok,” “Chingiz Khan,” and “Me.” At the end of his set, the spectators had big smiles on their faces as they anticipate the next artists who will set the stage on fire.

LEE HI LEAVING FANS ON A HIGH

aomg world tour manila

With a clear aim to make a mark, Lee Hayi, better known as Lee Hi, then took the Philippine stage for the first time. Unlike Woo, the 26-year-old female singer began her set on a soft note, serenading her Filipino fans with her heartfelt tracks “Only,” “Breathe,” and “Savior.”

It may be different from the mood the first act has shown but Lee Hi’s diverse discography never felt out of place. She instantly captured fans’ hearts with her soothing and unique voice, proving to everyone why she is one of the best vocalists in the Korean music industry.

aomg world tour manila

“You guys are our real fans,” the female artist emphasized during her brief ment.

Slowly, Lee Hi switched the vibe into a much more lively one with her tracks “Rose,” “H.S.K.T,” and “1,2, 3,4.” She also did not forget to groove and interact with the attendees with the crowd favorites “Red Lipstick” and “No One.”

LOCO GOING CRAZY WITH HIS PERFORMANCES

aomg world tour manila

LOCO is one of the night’s most anticipated performers and he did not disappoint. His setlist was filled with so much intensity and excitement. This was enhanced by his overflowing stage presence and cool aura.

He opened his set with fiery songs “Party Band,” “Sweaty, and “MBTI,” which are, no doubt, impressive choices for such a wonderful night. Shortly after, LOCO greeted everyone and complimented his PH fans saying, “Filipinos are the best. Thank you so much!”.

While asking fans to jump and have fun with him, the rapper declared a full-blown party with his tracks “Too Much,” “Somebody!,” “Like Water,” “OPPA,” and “It Takes Time.” Amid all the chaos, LOCO threw his clothes to the side and even splashed water on the crowd while performing “ON It + BO$$” and “No Manners.”

aomg world tour manila

Of course, he did not miss his chance to pull the heartstrings of fans with the mellow track “Don’t,” which he sang with famous K-Pop artist Hwasa, and his famous OST from Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo  titled “Say Yes.”

After hearing that it is incredibly famous in the Philippines, he made fans sing the latter and was surprised how everyone knew the chorus by heart. Loco could not help but smile at the sight of the crowd singing one of his greatest releases and promised fans to sing the full song in the encore.

GRAY EMBODYING THE WORD “TALENT”

aomg world tour manila

Anyone who listens to Korean R&B and hip-hop music knows that GRAY is one of the best artists out there. He is known for his diverse music style and for leaving a whisper at the beginning of the tracks he produces.

Ushering everyone into the latter part of the evening, the Korean hip-hop artist welcomed everyone with the track “Dream Chaser,” before diving into his lively tracks “Show Window,” TMI,” and “Summer Night.”

aomg world tour manila

He made sure to interact with fans as well through the tracks “Close 2 U,” “Moon Blue,” and “Baby Don’t Cry.” GRAY asked the crowd to continue the words on his track, giving everyone a memorable time.

The artist’s set would not be complete without him playing the melodica. He used it as an accompaniment to his performance of “Lose Control,” making fans’ hearts go crazy. GRAY ended his presentation with the songs “Stay The Night,” “U,” and “Just Do It,” which he sang with labelmate LOCO.

The rapper embodied the word “all-rounder” with his entire set, moving so effortlessly between singing, rapping, and playing an instrument.

YUGYEOM AND HIS EFFORTLESS PRESENCE

aomg world tour manila

It’s Yugyeom’s second time performing in Manila as a soloist but he never misses. He performed at the same venue and presented a similar setlist during the Manila stop of his solo tour in August 2022, but he looked much cooler and more confident this time around. With his impressive singing and dancing skills, he swiftly gave his PH fans a memorable night.

Yugyeom began his music party with the tracks “Want U Around” and Take You Down.” As he looks over the crowd with admiration, the artist showcased his effortless aura and smooth moves.

aomg world tour manila

Afterward, he sang “Lights” and “All About U” with LOCO. He did not miss a chance to get closer to fans and wave his hands as if he thanked his fans wholeheartedly for coming. Switching up the mood a little bit, Yugyeom performed “Running Through The Rain,” and “All Your Fault,” both of which are made in collaboration with GRAY.

Prior to presenting his last two songs of the night “Love The Way,” and “Ponytail,” the artist showcased his precise and graceful moves through his quick dance break.

SIMON DOMINIC AS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT

aomg world tour manila

Perhaps the biggest performer of the night, Simon Dominic took the AOMG stage to another level with his setlist. The veteran hip-hop act showed everyone how it is done with his tracks “DAx4,” “POSE!” and “Room Type.”

When the instrumental to his self-titled track played, the crowd went wild, leaving loud screams and chants everywhere. Simon Dominic then performed a mashup of his famous tracks “Ya Ain’t Gang,” “GOTT,” “I’MMA Do,” “Party Forever,” “GO,” and “WON & ONLY.” Before belting out the lyrics to his song “WIFEY,” the rapper acted as if he is searching for a wife in the crowd.

During his ment, Simon Dominic shared that he felt so good to see his fans enjoying his music with him. He even called every single member of the audience “Maganda,” which translates to “beautiful” in English.

aomg world tour manila

Despite his playful demeanor, the rapper exuded a warm aura on stage. His spiels were the most entertaining out of the bunch and he seemed like a friend whom you can joke around with comfortably.

Tracks such as “At Night,” “make her dance,” “MOMMAE,” and “Comfortable” served as his last batch of tracks for the night.

A MOMENTOUS CONCLUSION

aomg world tour manila

The encore of the Follow The Movement in Manila   was one for the books. Simon Dominic, LOCO, Lee Hi, GRAY, Yugyeom, and Woo gathered together for a grand finale that fans would remember for the rest of their lives.

Together, they performed many collaboration tracks they produced between themselves and the label while interacting with everyone in the crowd. LOCO and Simon Dominic even came to the back part of the venue to closely greet and thank fans who have patiently waited for them to come to the Philippines.

They treated fans with their encore songs, namely, “119 REMIX,” “UPSIDE DOWN,” “TTFU,” “Party for the Night,” “ON AIR,” “We Are,” and “Who You.”

Four hours went by so fast during the concert but the AOMG crew gave a well-thought-out set without even breaking a sweat. The artists did an awesome job keeping people entertained and immersed in what was happening on stage.

aomg world tour manila

If you were to ask what made the event so memorable, it would be the performers’ passionate reactions, memorable stages, and genuine encounters with fans.

An Above Ordinary Night with AOMG Follow the Movement World Tour 2023 in Manila!

PH fans had been asking for an AOMG concert for a couple of years now and it was definitely worth the wait!

aomg world tour manila

It’s been a week already but everyone is still on high as AOMG artists gave their PH fans an above ordinary concert experience! A 4-hour long concert that was filled with a variety of music from Simon Dominic, Gray, Loco, Lee Hi, Yugyeom, and Woo. The first ever AOMG concert in Manila made all fans so hyped while singing wholeheartedly and screaming at the top of their lungs for every artist’s onstage appearance. It was really an enjoyable and thrilling moment for everyone.

Woo wows the crowd!

aomg world tour manila

The South Korean rapper, Woo , was the opening act of the show. He literally set the stage and was spitting fire through all his songs. The crowd cheered “Woo! Woo! Woo!” after every performance and you can clearly see how he flashed a lovely smile every time. The Show Me The Money 3rd placer’s set list includes R. I. P, Chik Chik Pok Pok, Chingiz Khan , and his latest song Me .

Woo started the set strong with his blazing rap skills and enigmatic stage charisma. “I spit, full of smoke and I’ma make it rain” from Chik Chik Pok Pok is literally the tone that translated throughout the whole concert. He raised the bar high on the onset and the overflow of this energy kept everyone in high spirits until the end of the show.

What a powerful opening from Woo Wonjae!

Our Only “Lee Hi”

aomg world tour manila

Lee Hi was next and she opened her set with the ballad song “ You “. Everyone was in awe with her soothing and healing voice. It was really a dream to see her sang live with Breathe, Savior, Rose, H.S.K.T, No One, 1 2 3 4, and the crowd even went wilder with Red Lipstick .

She is the kind of chic that exudes feistiness on stage. The only rose among the AOMG crew is no ordinary girl. Equal to the machismo of his brothers is her powerful persona while belting out the tunes of her song. She’s the sunshine whose rays are blinding that night because it radiates bright. She’s an all Hi -gh, power-packed peformer and everyone can agree to this.

She was so happy post-show and said “ You guys are our real fans” . Ha-yi also noticed a banner “ 하이 BE MY WIFEY ” and got it during their encore stage.

We can’t wait to say hi to you again our beloved Lee Hi !

Manila just ” Say Yes” to Loco

aomg world tour manila

Afterwards, everyone went crazy with Loco . He entered looking like a cute university boy wearing a brown top with specs, but behind those soft and cool visuals, this man’s stage presence was really on another level. ( Loco nakakaloka ka! ) No wonder why he was one of most anticipated performers of the night.

He sang Party Band, Too much, MBTI, OPPA, Like Water, It Takes Time, ON IT + BO$$ and No Manners . Manila also heard his duet songs with Mamamoo’s Hwasa, Don’t and Somebody .

He shared that he came before to Cebu when he studied English. Loco was also thrilled when learned how popular “ Say Yes” in the Philippines. This was a duet with Punch and OS T of the popular kdrama, MOON LOVERS: SCARLET HEART RYEO . Loco was so surprised on how the crowd sang the OST loudly and passionately. So before the encore, he went up on stage again to fulfill the request of fans to sing it in full.

He was the night’s biggest revelation as he made everyone’s hurt flutter with his extraordinary charm, sexiness ( that shirtless performance made everyone go LOCA with Loco! ) and pure sincerity in acknowledging his fans’ love for him and his works.

Loco we will say yes to you over and over again!

PH fans lose control with Gray

aomg world tour manila

Everyone lost their control with an experience of Grayground from Gray . It’s no TMI that everyone wanted to stay the night and didn’t want it to end. He showed us that apart from him being one of the amazing producers in the industry, he’s also a great performer. Dream Chaser, Close 2 U, Moon Blue, Baby Don’t Cry, Lose Control and Stay The Night were included on his powerful performance.. Loco went up on stage again to join him during Just Do It and Late Night .

He’s a great musician and performer with a visual reminiscent of a K-drama Opp a. An all-in-one package that comes handy with something extra to give. He’s the presence that you’d like to hear and look at, comforting and heart-pounding at the same time.

During his ment, he asked fans “ Kumusta ka ” and the venue was filled with loud screams that turned into overflowing kilig .

Gray you made our night a colorful one!

Yugyeom take down the stage

aomg world tour manila

Yugyeom who’s looking so fine took the stage with I Want U Ar ound. The youngest AOMG artist and Got7 member was also very pleased to see all fans cheering for him. He performed Take You Down, Lights, All About You where he was joined by Loco, Running Through The Rain with Gray playing an instrumental, All Your Fault, Love The Way , and his latest single Pony Tail .

The maknae also gave a dance break to Woo’s Chingiz Khan . He even went down a couple of times to get closer to fans. His very close interactions were definitely plotted on their core memory forever.

He maybe the youngest member of this crew but he showcased a performance that did not get intimated by the experience of his seniors. As a solo artist, he took off of his Idol-like image and presented the rawness of who Yugyeom is.

We would love to see you around again, Yugyeom!

Simon Dominic “A man we must protect”

aomg world tour manila

Last but definitely not the least is the one and only Simon Dominic . It was very evident that he’s also one of the most anticipated acts that night as he was welcomed by very loud screams that shook every part of New Frontier Theater.

Ssamdi burned the stage with his opening song “ DAx4 ”. It was followed by “ Simon Dominic” and up until now, that “ Simon D.o.m.i.n.i.c oh oh ” is still playing in our heads. During his short ment, he greeted fans with a “ Magandang gabi po ” and everyone just got kilig all over again. And everyone volunteered when he said he was looking for his Wifey . He then proceeded to sing his song with the same title.

Ssamdi’s energy not to mention his humor and raspiness is what kept everyone still in high spirits even after 3 hours to the show. He made the concert feel like a big party experience, complete with great music, the best performers and yes, presence of our local brandy that also stole the show.

POSE!, room type, y’aint gang, GOTT, Party Forever, Mommae, NO THANXXX , and Comfortable were also part of his powerful stage.

SsamDi please come back again and we will help you find your wifey (or can one of us volunteer instead?). 😘

Our AOMG faves in one stage!

aomg world tour manila

During the encore stage, they all gathered and sang 119 Remix, UPSIDE DOWN, TTFU, Party for the Night, On Air, We Are and Who You . There were so many things happening on stage at the same time but the only constant was how their faces showed sincere happiness and enjoyment. Manila definitely gave them a night that they will always cherish and remember.

The experience to have watched AOMG artists performed live was really a moment that will forever be imprinted on our minds. Being able to hear their songs and see their collaboration stages upfront is a welcome treat to everyone who attended their Manila concert. It’s not always that we get to witness talented performers in one stage and it is safe to say that AOMG is really a home to artists with diverse talent and musicality. They really gave life to what their label stands for – Above Ordinary Music Group .

Thank you so much Pulp Live World for bringing them here and for inviting Annyeong Oppa . This concert will surely be the standard for all the upcoming events this 2023.

It’s A-OMG awesome!

6 Tracks To Add To Your Playlist Before The “AOMG World Tour 2023 In Manila”

AOMG Tour Manila

Get ready for an evening of captivating performances from the artists of AOMG and add these incredible songs to your playlist!

In preparation for the highly anticipated AOMG Follow The Movement in Manila on January 15, 2023, at the New Frontier Theater, we have compiled a playlist of six tracks that you must listen to in order to fully get in the hip-hop and R&B mood.

AOMG Gears Up For The “FOLLOW THE MOVEMENT” World Tour in Manila

SIMON DOMINIC’s “Simon Dominic”

“Simon Dominic” is included in Simon Dominic’s first EP, Won & Only , which was released in 2015. The track, obviously from the title, became his representative song. It even achieved an “all-kill,” which in South Korea means it topped all the major real-time music charts in the country. The single also peaked at No.2 on the weekly Gaon Digital Chart after its release.

“Me” depicts Woo’s journey to fame, and how he was able to buy things that he wants, including a house and car for his parents. However, he gets blinded by greed and was too focused on his newly gained fame that he started to forget who he really is. The track is included in his second EP, comma , which was released on November 2022.

LOCO ft. Hwasa’s “Don’t Give It To Me”

On the KBS2 variety show Hyena on the Keyboard , Loco and Hwasa collaborated in creating the song “Don’t Give It To Me,” which was later released as a single. “Don’t Give It To Me” is a love story about two people who are on the verge of falling in love, but they don’t want to confess their feelings while they are under the influence of alcohol; this is where the song got its title.

GRAY’s “Just Do It”

At age 18, the North Carolina-based producer and songwriter burst onto the scene with a complex, bombastic brand of electro-house. Following the major success of his 2014 debut album Worlds , Porter released the RIAA Gold single “Shelter” with Madeon in 2016, followed by a Shelter Live Tour spanning 43 dates and four continents. The following year, Porter began releasing music under a new alias, Virtual Self, which led to his first Grammy nomination for the BBC Radio 1 hit single “Ghost Voices.” In 2019, Porter put on the first Second Sky Festival, which sold out all 30,000 tickets for the two-day festival in a single day. In both 2020 and 2021, Porter Robinson hosted editions of his virtual festival Secret Sky, amassing over 6 million viewers combined, and which came to be regarded as the most sophisticated virtual festivals of its time. Later in 2021, following the release of sophomore album Nurture, Second Sky Festival made its return to the Bay Area, selling out 40,000 tickets in a single day. Immediately following, the Nurture Live North American Tour sold over 150,000 concert tickets and was the highest grossing electronic tour of 2021. In 2022, in partnership with Riot Games, Robinson released “Everything Goes On” surpassing 100 million global streams . World Nineball Tour to stage inaugural Reyes Cup in PH

At a glance.

The Philippines has been regarded as the epicenter of billiards due to legendary Efren “Bata” Reyes' brilliance, charm and charisma – and for that, the World Nine-ball Tour (WNT) is set to stage the first Reyes Cup in Manila on Oct. 17 to 20.

GAB mulls holding dialogue with 'Bata' Reyes

Matchroom Multi Sport CEO Emily Frazer announced the holding of the event, noting that it’s a way to honor Reyes, who is largely recognized as perhaps the greatest player of his era.

“Given the storied history the Philippines has on the sport, it is only right that we honor Efren (Reyes) in his home country,” Frazer stated.

“Efren’s passion for the sport has been unwavering for over 50 years, he is the perfect figurehead for this tournament and our sport,” she added.

Reyes, 69, expressed his extreme gratitude for choosing him as the tournament’s inspiration, also stressing it serves as a celebration for the sport they loved throughout the years.

“I am truly humbled and honored that Matchroom has chosen to name this prestigious event after me. The Efren Reyes Cup is not just a tournament; it’s a celebration of the sport we love, and I am excited to see the pool community come together for its first edition in the Philippines,” Reyes said.

It will be a four-day long competition under Mosconi Cup format where two elite teams, including Asian and European cue masters tussle with one another.

Aloysius Yapp is expected to lead the Team Asia, which is composed of WNT top-three ranked in the one-year list alongside two wildcards who will be selected by the team captain. Same process applies to Team Europe which will be spearheaded by Spain’s David Alcaide.

Both teams will announce their members after each event in World Pool Championship (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia), European Open (Fulda, Germany) and US Open Pool Championship (Atlantic City, USA).
