Benelux Poker Tour heads to Cardo with €200,000 GTD

One big festival ends, another begins immediately. Are we talking about Las Vegas? No, we're talking about Card Casino Bratislava! Slovakia's biggest casino has been going "big bombs" since the beginning of the year, which will be confirmed by the upcoming Benelux Poker Tour with its €200,000 GTD.

The period from the second half of April to the end of May can safely be described as the time of world poker in Bratislava.

Card Casino Bratislava will first host the €350,000 GTD Vamos Poker Tour, followed by the WPT, the World Poker Tour, with a €500,000 GTD Main Event.

And right after its end, on May 15, a new festival will follow - the Benelux Poker Tour with a €200,000 GTD Main Event. But what's in store for players from May 16 to May 22?

On Wednesday, May 17, the Main Event itself will begin play. The buy-in to the tournament is €250, with a stack of 50,000 chips awaiting players at the start. Blinds will change after 30 minutes. The guarantee for the Main Event is €200,000.

DAY 2 will then play on Sunday 21 May from 16:00, where the levels will be 40 minutes long. On Monday 22 May from 15:00 the FINAL DAY will start with hourly levels.

And what other tournaments can progressive players look forward to?

On Wednesday, May 17, the €10,000 GTD Deepstack will be played, and on Thursday

18. 5. Benelux Highroller with €20,000 GTD, and on Friday, May 19, the good old one-hit classic Freezout with €10,000 GTD. The following day, Friday 5/20, will see the Benelux Progressive Knockout with €10,000 GTD. The same guarantee, 10k, will also be available at the Benelux PLO Championship on Sunday, May 21. The last tournament will be Monday's Big Stack with a €10,000 GTD.

Now watch out! As part of the BENELUX Poker Tour Festival, DAY 1A of the MILLION Poker Festvial will also be played at Card Casino Bratislava. It is scheduled for Sunday, May 21 from 17:00. The buy-in will be €320+€30, with a stack of 60,000 chips and 30-minute levels awaiting players. The guarantee of the famous tournament is €500,000. Any player who stays in the game for the last 12,5% is guaranteed an ITM of €800 and advancement to DAY 2.

Largest Field Ever Expected for Smart Poker Tour #4

Smart Poker Tour #4 visits Monte Casino in Sofia, Bulgaria from November 30th to December 5th. The Smart Poker Tour has quickly found success throughout Bulgaria in just a few stops. So much so that the fourth-ever stop of the Smart Poker Tour is expecting its largest field ever. The Smart Poker Tour #4 Main Event boasts a guarantee of BGN 300,000 .

“This will undoubtedly be the biggest edition of the Smart Poker Tour so far. A great tournament schedule, â¬150,000 GTD prize pool, ultra-luxurious poker room, crazy cash game action, and lots and LOTS of fun in the heart of the Bulgarian capital – Sofia.” Relayed CEO of Smart Poker Tour, Simeon Tsonev.

“Our first festival was held just 5 months ago and attracted 231 entries . Our second edition? 316 entries . Our third stop back in August reached 385 entries . We are aiming to break the record once again. Smart Poker Tour #4 is going to be massive!”

Smart Poker Tour #4 Main Event

The Main Event gets underway on Thursday, December 1st with the first of three Day 1 starting flights. Getting into the Main Event will cost BGN 1,000 with unlimited re-entry available for the first 14 levels of the day. Players will start with 60,000 chips and play 30-minute levels.

There is also a direct buy-in to Day 2 option. For the first three levels of Day 2, players may enter for BGN 3,200 and receive a stack of 200,000 chips. Players looking to get into the Main Event for less will want to check out the Main Event satellite on November 30th. 10 seats are guaranteed for just BGN 150.

Other events players can look forward to include a Mystery Bounty, Pot Limit Omaha, a BGN 40,000 guaranteed Second Chance, a Last Chance, and a BGN 50,000Â guaranteed High Roller. The full schedule is available here on THM where the results will be listed upon completion of the festival.

Big Things Coming in 2023

Tsonev and his team are already busy working on the 2023 season. The first festival of 2023 will see the Smart Poker Tour leave Bulgaria for the first time. “We have so many amazing plans for 2023, starting with a mega festival in January in the capital of Romania – Bucharest. A â¬500 main event with a whopping â¬250,000 GTD and a special High Roller Event with â¬100,000 GTD. And this is just the beginning!”
