7 Day 7 : Guptkashi – Kedarnath Dham

From Gaurikund you can reach Kedarnath temple by Pony/ Doli/ Helicopter etc. By Helicopter: In the morning you will be transferred to one of the three helipads ( Phata helipad, Sitapur helipad, Sersi helipad, and Guptkashi) after darshan returns back to the helipad and dropped back to the hotel. By Trek: In the morning the driver will drop you at Sonprayag and then you have to hire a local jeep till Gaurikund and then your approx 17 km trek will start till Kedarnath temple. After performing prayers in the temple you will return back to Sonprayag and from there the driver will take you to the hotel for rest. After having Darshan of Baba Kedarnath you will be enjoying your dinner and night stay at the hotel located at a shorter distance from the temple.

8 Day 8 : Kedarnath - Guptkashi

Early in the morning visit the temple situated at Kedarnath for the morning aarti. After darshan, you will be trekking back to Gaurikund and from there you will be derived back to the hotel in Guptkashi. Get refreshed and have your dinner in a hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

9 Day 9 : Guptkashi– Badrinath

After having breakfast check out from the hotel for your journey to Badrinath. On arrival at Badrinath you will check into the hotel. You can have a dip in tap kund which will refresh you and offer prayer at Badrinath temple, also enjoy the evening aarti at the temple. There are many eye pleasant sites within three km of Badrinath Dham like the last village on the Indo-Tibet/ China border i.e. Mana Village, a cave near mana village where Ved Vyas composed Mahabharat - The epic i.e. Vyas cave, a natural pull or bridge formed by rock i.e. Bhim Pul, magnificent waterfall which is 5kms from Badrinath Dham and 3 Kms from Mana village, Mata Murti, Charan Paduka, etc. After that return back to the hotel, have your dinner in the Hotel only. End your day by an overnight stay in Hotel.

10 Day 10 : Badrinath – Joshimath - Rudraprayag

Wake up and enjoy your spiritual morning in the lap of nature. Get refreshed and have morning breakfast in the hotel, and check out from the Hotel. Drive towards Rudraprayag via Joshimath which is one of the four maths established by Guru Adi Shankaracharya. On the way visit Narsingh temple in Joshimath and later drive to Rudraprayag. Hotel bookings are made by us on behalf of our customers. We are having a tie-up with many hotels. Although all rates are updated on our website, still there are chances that the rates of Hotels may go up/down. Sometimes rates of the hotel are hiked during long weekends and during festive seasons. It is better that you confirm the rates before making an online payment over the mail. The quality of the room, amenities or meals which are displayed in photos on hotel websites may vary. Booking of the rooms on the same floor/adjacent rooms/ non-smoking rooms in any hotel is not guaranteed. The right to change the pre-booked hotel or the category of rooms is reserved, anytime during the tour due to overbooking of a hotel, blocking of the sewage, electricity/water failure, etc.

Check-in/ Check-out times of Hotel / Resorts may vary from city to city. please check these timings before making the booking. Early check-in and late checkout will be charged extra and are subject to the availability of the rooms. Policies for accommodating children and for extra beds may vary from hotel to hotel.

Amendments or changes after booking

If you wish to do amendments or change the prior booking, you have to inform us in writing on mail.

Amendment or changes in any booking will be treated as a new booking and will be subject to availability at that time and the additional cost will be charged. The additional cost will be borne by you. There will be an amendment charge of Rs.1000/- applicable.

• Cancellation Policy

Cancelation of the booking will be informed to us in writing on mail. The cancellation charges will be applicable depending upon the services. Cancellation of the hotels and airlines will be done according to their own cancellation policies.

The cancellation for a package tour, be applicable as follows :

• Cancellation before clear 30 working days or more prior to the date of departure of the Tour: 25% of the total tour cost will be charged.
• Cancellation before clear 29 to 16 working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour: 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.
• Cancellation before less than 15 clear working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour: 100% of the total tour cost will be charged.

Balance Payment                          

• The complete balance payment has to be made before the starting date of the trip. However, the company can ask you anytime to clear the balance payment before 30 days from the date of departure.
• The right is reserved to amend/change the prices offered for the tour and to adjust our charges due to various factors like currency fluctuations, special/high season charge levied by the suppliers, fuel price rise, travel arrangements, hike in any government taxes or visa amounts or for any other reason before the date of departure. All such increased price must be paid before your departure (Full and final).

No refund for unutilized services

There will be no refund or compensation provided for services that are not used. If you fail to avail/use any services due to any reason the company will not provide any kind of refund or any other services as the compensation of the unutilized services.

Day : 01 Bangalore - Delhi - Haridwar (210 km / 06 hrs)

The team will greet you at Delhi airport or the railway station (the charges may you give to come Delhi will be your own). Day : 02 Haridwar to Barkot (160 km / 06 hrs)

Day : 03 Barkot - Yamnoutri - Barkot (45 km / 02 hrs each side)

The third day’s morning will in Barkot, after having breakfast the tour will go to Yamunotri on the way the first destination is jankichatti which is also one of sacred place. After this the trip will precede you to go on foot way approx 5-6km to reach yamunotri in pony/doli/horses (excluded the payments). Day : 05 Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km / 03 each side)

Day : 07 Guptkashi - Sonprayag - Kedarnath (35 km drive / 18 km Trek one side)

Departure and Return Location:- Dehradun (Uttarakhand, India)

Your Chardham Yatra will begin from Dehradun. After reaching Dehradun, our representatives will be available to receive you from the Dehradun Airport/Railway Station/Bus Stand. You will head towards the pre-booked accommodation for a complimentary night’s stay at Dehradun. It will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the hotel from the Dehradun airport.

*Please note that Leisure India Holidays must have your arrival information one week before your scheduled arrival to organize a seamless pick-up.

Furthermore, passengers should aim to be in Dehradun by 4:00 p.m. or sooner to begin their Chardham tour.

During the evening, our team will inform the yatris about the tour and provide them with duffel bags for packing only the essentials —  (Only two to five kilograms per person is permissible in duffel bags) . Travellers must keep all their essentials in their duffel bags as bringing their suitcases or trolleys onto the helicopters is not allowed. 06:30 AM: Arrival at Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri.

The auspicious Chardham Yatra will begin or start from the Dehradun helipad. Travellers must check out from their Dehradun hotels sharp at 05.00 a.m. Following that, our representatives will transport them to the Sahastradhara Helipad base. Our ground personnel would greet the travellers. The personnel will assist the travellers in settling into the waiting lounge. Where they will get their Pre-Flight instructions.

Then, they will board and fly to Kharsali helipad, Yamunotri Dham, by 06:00 a.m. After arriving at Kharsali at approximately 06.30 am. Travellers will check into their accommodation before starting the Yamunotri Dham journey. The approximate round-trip time for Yamunotri Darshan will be 5 hours and 30 minutes. The Yamunotri Dham has a 6-kilometer trek. So travellers will cover this 6-kilometre trek via pony or palki, as per the availability.

If operational, travellers may go for more sightseeing.

05:30 AM: Check-out from Hotel

06:30 AM: Departure from Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri (By Helicopter).

07:00 AM: Arrival Harsil Helipad, Gangotri.

On Day 3, yatris will fly from Kharsali Helipad towards Gangotri Dham via Harsil Helipad. At 5.30 am, the travellers will check out from their hotels, and they will board the helicopter at 6.30 am. Arrive at the Harsil Helipad at approximately 7.00 a.m. Harsil is the tour’s most picturesque and lovely halt, the second Dham, well noted for its enormous apple orchards.

So, based on the temple rush, the travellers will visit the temple after breakfast or lunch. The approximate round-trip time for Gangotri Darshan will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The road to the Gangotri temple is around 25 kilometres or approximately a 50-minute drive. Harshil offers a variety of sites and natural trails for exploration.

07:00 AM:  Departure Harsil Helipad, Gangotri (By Helicopter).

07:30 AM:  Arrival at Kedarnath (Sersi / Phata / Guptakashi Base Camp).

On the fourth day, travellers will proceed toward Kedarnath Dham. So travellers must check out from their hotels by 6.00 am. After reaching the Harsil helipad, they will fly towards Kedarnath Dham. They will arrive at these helipads in Kedarnath – Sirsi / Guptkashi / Phata. After breakfast, travellers will proceed to the Kedarnath Darshan. The approximate duration of the Kedarnath Temple Darshan is 2 hours.

The shuttle trip from Sersi to Kedarnath temple takes around seven minutes.

• A maximum of 05/06 passengers/guests will be allowed in 01 helicopter.
• 5 kg of luggage will be permitted in the chopper per passenger. Those who bring excessive luggage would not be allowed to take their baggage further in the helicopter.
• Keep the medical kits with you, as the temples are at high altitudes.

• Properties on tour are in the 3 to 4-star category except for Yamunotri, as it is a remote or rural area.
• The weight of the total passenger should not be more than 430 kg.
• All passengers will be taken to all the helipads at least 1 hour before departureIn this case, sometimes, you may have to wait at the government helipad.
• Share your actual and exact body weight at the time of registration. We will check your weight before flying; it shouldn’t be more than what you have informed us. The company has full rights to de-board a passenger if the actual body weight exceeds the weight given by passengers. Kindly don’t share any assumed body weight.

Helicopter Weight Limitation

According to the aviation department, only 6 people can sit in a helicopter and the maximum weight of each passenger should be 72 kg, your weight will be measured before the take-off and if we found more than the standard weight, you can be prevented from boarding the helicopter, in that case, you can contact us and get advice.Also, the maximum capacity of a helicopter is 430 kg which does not include passenger baggage and a passenger can carry only 5 kg maximum weight with him.

Disclaimer for Bad Weather

Any type of flying is challenging in mountainous areas, sometimes in case of bad weather, busy air traffic, and passenger illness, the helicopter may be delayed or other unforeseen events may also occur, so passengers should be prepared for any such situation. Although adequate safety gear is provided by the crew, the passengers will have to keep their preparations complete.

Our Payment Policy

For all the services contracted, a certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before you depart from your country or after your arrival to India as mutually decided between team management and guests. Management personnel hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Apart from the above, in some cases, like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resort bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance (as specified in your tour proposal).

Mode of Payment for FIT (Frequent Individual Travelers)

Package Cancellation Policy​

In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

• 75 days to 60 days preceding the starting date of tour: NO RETENTION will be charged.
• 60 days to 45 days preceding the starting date of tour: 30% of package cost will be charged as Retention.
• 45-35 days preceding the starting date of tour: 50% of package cost will be charged as Retention.
• 35-0 days preceding the starting date of tour: 100% of package cost will be charged as retention. 

In case of special trains journeys and peak season hotel bookings, a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required). For flight ticket cancellation, airlines cancellation policy will be applicable.

Online/Offline registration process for Chardham Yatra

Pilgrims planning a Chardham Yatra 2024 are required to get a registration done before proceeding to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. With the help of biometric registration, the state government can receive regular updates of pilgrims' locations for security, data, and mitigation purposes. The registration process, both offline and online, is quite easy. You will have to register yourself at any one of the centres falling on the 4 Dham Yatra routes. Once the process of biometric registration is done, you will get a biometric card, which will also help with availing special facilities like food and lodging.

Temples to visit on Char Dham Tour

Yamunotri temple, uttarkashi.

Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, Yamunotri Temple is located at an altitude of 3923 meters near the foot of Kalind Parbat (peak). It is the first temple that travellers visit on the Char Dham circuit. According to legends, the temple was the home of Asti Muni, an ancient sage, which makes it extremely popular amongst Hindu devotees. The main sanctum of the temple houses a black marble idol of Yamuna along with a white stone representing River Ganga. As the Yama Dwitiya (second day after Diwali or on Bhai Dooj) approaches, the temple closes its portals, and the temple authorities shift the idol to Kharsali village for the winter season. The idol is brought back to the main temple on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya (occurring in April/May), marking a grand celebration by devotees.

Gangotri Temple, Uttarkashi

Located at an altitude of 3100 meters in the Uttarkashi district, the holy abode of goddess Ganga, Gangotri is the second ‘Dham’ of the Chardham Yatra. Gaumukh Glacier, around 18 kilometres away from the temple, is the point where the River Ganges originates. It is believed that taking a bath in the freezing water of Gaumukh Glacier can relieve one from all the sins. The temple remains open for pilgrims for only six months, starting from the festival of Akshaya Tritiya till Diwali. During the winter season, the idol of Goddess Ganga is worshiped at Mukhyamath temple in Mukhba village, around 18 kilometres away from the main temple.

Kedarnath Temple, Rudraprayag

One of the 12 Jyotirlingas and an important temple of the Char Dham tour and Panch Kedars (a group of 5 Shiva temples in Garhwal Himalayas), Kedarnath Temple is sacred to Lord Shiva. To reach the temple, pilgrims have to trek for 14 km from Gauri Kund. The main sanctum of the temple (also known as Garbha Griha) houses the idol of Lord Shiva along with Lord Krishna, Pandavas, Draupadi, and Kunti. Right outside the shrine, there's a large stone statue of Nandi Bull, protecting the temple. On the 1st day of Karthik month (October/November), the main idol is shifted to Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath (Rudraprayag district) and then welcomed back in the Vaisakh (April/May) month of Hindu calendar.

Badrinath Temple, Chamoli

One of the most important temples sacred to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath Temple is counted amongst the prominent temples of the Char Dham tour. Located at an altitude of 3,300 meters along the bank of Alaknanda River, the temple is also known for its Garhwali wooden architecture, apart from religious significance. It is believed that Adi Shankaracharya founded the Saligram idol of Lord Badri immersed in the water of Alaknanda and installed the same near the Tapt Kund. The main sanctum features a black stone idol of the Lord Badrinarayan sitting in a meditative pose along with images of Nar, Narayana, Narad, Ganesha, Garud, and Kuber. During the winter season, the main idol of Badrinath is shifted to Yog Dhyan Badri in Pandukeshwar (Chamoli district).

Mansa Devi Temple, Haridwar

Located at Bilwa Parvat, Mansa Devi temple, one of the Sidhpeeths, is sacred to Goddess Mansa, a form of Shakti who is believed to have emerged from the mind of the great Saint Kashyap. To reach the temple, you can either opt for a ropeway ride from Haridwar called Mansa Devi Udan Khatola or trek for around three kilometres. Early morning at 5 AM, drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti & start the trek to Yamunotri (6kms) (Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at your own cost). After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund's TtaptKund (Hot water spring) and have the darshan of Yamunotri Ji. Later trek down to Jankichatti & drive to Barkot. Dinner & Overnight stay at Barkot.

Day 4 : Barkot – Uttarkashi ( 100 kms / 5 – 6 hrs)

Morning after breakfast, checkout from the hotel between 9 AM to 10 AM & drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival, check-in at the hotel in Uttarkashi. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple & Uttarkashi market in evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi: "Uttarkashi" the dev Bhoomi which literally means "Kashi of the north" is one of the holy places in Hinduism. In addition, to have the natural and the devotional beauty, here you have lots of fun adventurous activities to enjoy. Dodital lake, Nicheketa Lake, Dodital Dayara Pass Trek, Dayara Bugyal trek are some of the famous attractions to visit here. Therefore, you must visit this place at least once.

Vishwanath temple: This holy temple is in the name of Lord Shiva, and full of amazing wonders. As for example, there's a Trishul which is 8 foot 9-inch-long and has the 26 feet height. Also, inside the temple, there is a Shivlinga which is 56 cm high and having the elevation towards the south. As per belief, the tour to Gangotri is incomplete without visiting this temple, and therefore, this temple is highly important. Out of the temple, there is Nandi Baba guarding the temple premises. Day 5 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi ( 100 kms / 3 - 4 hrs each side)

Early morning start the drive to Gangotri sharp at 5 AM, en-route at Gangnanione can take a holy dip in Tapt Kund (Hot Spring) & further drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is famous for its natural loveliness and for the magnificent views of the Deodar trees and mountains. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later drive back to Uttarkashi. Dinner & Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Day 6 : Uttarkashi – Sitapur ( 230 kms / 9 - 10 hrs )

Once the breakfast is done, drive down to Sitapur around 8 AM via Moolgarh & Lambgoan. En-route you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini river comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Sitapur. Dinner & Overnight stay at in the hotel.

Guptkashi Weather: The temperature ranges between 25 to 30 degree Celsius makes the summer season most pleasant. You may feel the unbearable cold, during the winter season.

Day 7 : Sitapur – Kedarnath

Option 1: Early morning after breakfast, drive to Helipad at Guptkashi / Phata or Sersi, according to the reporting time provided by the Helicopter Company and board the helicopter for Shri Kedarnath Ji. After 15 minutes of flying, reach at helipad at Kedarnath Ji, have darshan & Perform Pooja, and overnight Stay at Kedarnath ji or can return and stay at Sitapur.

Option 2: Early morning check-out at 3 AM from the Hotel and drive to Sonprayag and catch the government jeep over there for GauriKund (6 Kms / Charges Rs. 10/-). From there start the trek to Shri Kedarnath Ji. After 19kms / 8hrs trek reach at Kedarnath Ji, have darshan and perform Pooja. Overnight Stay at Kedarnath Ji or can return back and stay at Sitapur.

Kedarnath Weather: Generally, cold throughout the year because of the higher altitude. Even during the summer, the temperature does not cross the 20 degree Celsius. It’s the most pleasant period. However, during the winter, you may feel the severe cold as the temperature may go town to 0 degree Celsius or even less.

Day 8 : Kedarnath – Sitapur / Govindghat

Option 1: Early Morning reach to helipad and catch the helicopter. Fly back to Sitapur and proceed to Govindghat (170 kms / 7 hrs). En-route visit Ukhimath (Winter adobe of Kedarnath Ji). On arrival check-in to the hotel for Overnight stay at Govindghat.

Option 2: If returned from Kedarnath on Same day and staying at Sitapur, Morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to Govindghat (170 kms / 7 hrs). En-route visit Ukhimath (Winter adobe of Kedarnath Ji). By reaching Check-in at the hotel for Overnight stay at Govindghat.

Option 3: By Trek: Early morning start the trek again and reach Gaurikund. Further drive to Sitapur for the Overnight Stay.

Day 9 : Govindghat – Badrinath

Option 1: Morning after breakfast, Check-out from the hotel for Badrinath Darshan (30 kms / 2-3 hrs). Pilgrims can have a bath in the Tapt Kund and the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). Mana Village: Mana Village the perfect place for trekking, is the last village of India. This beautiful village is very nearer to the Badrinath, and therefore, a must-visit place during your visit to the Badrinath. This village has some highly famous caves such as the Vyas caves and many more. The Vyas cave belongs to the Mahabharata Period. Also, all other caves here, have some great religious and historical importance.

Vasundhara: The Vasundhara waterfall is 5 Km away from the Mana Village, and very nearer to the Badrinath Dham. As per belief, if you have ever committed any evil work, this waterfall will divert away from you.

Bhim Pul: This stone bridge on the river Saraswati does actually belongs to the Mahabharta Period. As per belief, it was Bheem (One of the Pandavas) who built this bridge so as to cross the river Saraswati. Vyas Gufa: The famous Gufa whereas per belief, Maharshi Vyas spoke the Mahabharta, and lord Ganesha wrote that. It is near the Mana village.

Haridwar - Barkot (215 Kms . 07 Hrs)

Morning drive to Barkot via Dehradun, Mussoorie, and en-route visit Kempty fall. Later continue drive to Barkot. On arrival Barkot Check In at Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Barkot - Yamunotri -Barkot (42Kms Drives/6 Kms Trek)

Morning leave for Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti & Fool Chatti. Morning leave for Uttarkashi, a drive of 82 kms. Enroute vist Prakateshwar Cave, on arrival Uttarkashi check in at the hotel evening visit Vishwnath Temple, Overnight stay at the hotel.

• Uttarkashi : Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.

Uttarkashi- Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 Kms. Per Way)

Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (223Ksm. Drive 09-10 Hrs)

Morning drive to Guptkashi, en-route visit Tehri Dam & continue journey toward Guptkashi. Upon arrival in check-in at hotel. Later in the evening visit Kashi Vishwnath Temple, Ardh Narishwar Temple, Overnight stay at the Hotel.

• Guptakashi : is located in the Northern Himalayan belt within the Mandakini river valley, which has lush green forests. A number of streams and rivulets drain into the main Mandakini River. It has salubrious climate with its elevation being around 1,319 meters (4,330 ft). The snow sparkling view of the Chaukhamba peak is a lovely sight to behold in the morning hours from here. The valley has large magnolia trees (locally called Champa) that provide a sweet scented atmosphere to the place.

Guptakashi - Kedarnath (32 Ksm Drive , 14 Kms. Trek)

Morning drive to Gaurikund (32 kms drive-one way). On arrival Gaurikund start your journey on the tough Trek ahead. Stop for lunch en route at Rambara, and continue after that to arrive by late afternoon, on arrival check in to the Hotel / Guest Houses. • While issuing the green card and passing through the travel check post, it will be checked that the passenger list is verified from the border check post and is Hologramed by the transport department. Therefore, passengers are requested to stop at the check post and compulsorily verify the passenger list while entering the state.
