Bodhi Tree : Prince Siddharth Gautam was empathetic and could not bear to see the sufferings of the beings so that he went on a quest to find peace. During this quest, he reached Gaya and did meditation under a Pipal (Ficus) tree situated near the Phalgu River banks, and then he was awakened to enlightenment. ‘Bodhi’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘Awakened’/ ‘Enlightened’. And hence that Pipal tree was called the bodhi tree. The Bodhi Tree which stands in Gaya today is a direct descendent of the actual Bodhi tree under which Lord Buddha was awakened.

Mahabodhi Temple: A declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, The Mahabodhi temple is built in the place where Lord Buddha attained his enlightenment. And hence, this temple is also referred to as the ‘Great Awakening Temple’. Built-in 260 BC by Ashoka the Great when he was visiting Gaya, this temple was originally constructed from bricks. Over this period, the temple has been revived and reconstructed and enlarged leading to the present sprawling 4.8 hectares of Temple. The Bodhi tree is situated on the left of the Mahabodhi Temple.

Muchalinda Lake: Also referred to as the ‘Lotus Pond’, the Muchalinda Lake is situated on the right of the Mahabodhi temple. At the center of the lake is a statue of a coiled snake upon which Lord Buddha is meditating and the hood of the snake is protecting the lord. There is the lore behind this statue that while Lord Buddha was meditating near the lake, once there was a strong storm, and the king of the snakes i.e. Muchalinda protected him.

Vishnupad Temple : A demon named Gaya i.e. Gayasura was once suppressed by Lord Vishnu pressed his foot on to him and buried him inside the earth. An imprint of the foot of Vishnu was thus left behind on solid rock in this place. Later on, a temple was built housing the 40cm long footprint. That temple is the Vishnupad Temple, where ‘Vishnupad’ translates to ‘Vishnu feet’. The footprint of Lord Vishnu here is surrounded by a silver basin.

Thai Monastery: Showcasing traditional Thai architecture, this is the one and only Thai Monastery in all of India. Pertaining permission from the then prime minister, late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Thai Monastery was built in 1956 by the Monarch of Thailand. This Monastery has gold tiles for the roof and has a Bronze Buddha statue. It is surrounded by a garden and even the garden holds a 25m high Buddha statue.

Bodhgaya Multimedia Museum: This Multimedia Museum makes use of multimedia and animation to show the life of revered Gautam Buddha from his childhood till the time he attained Nirvana. It also explains Buddha’s teachings.

DAY 1| INDIA ARRIVAL & AGRA TOUR

On arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative at New Delhi station/airport. Depart for the historical and romantic city tour of Agra . In Agra, you will visit ‘ Taj Mahal ’ , the epitome of romance, built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz , and is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You will also visit the majestic Agra fort – where the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan spent his last few years. Check-in the hotel.

Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2|AGRA-JAIPUR (4hrs 15mins – 240kms)

Have breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and drive towards Jaipur. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri – which was once the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre and it is visited by tourists from all over the world throughout the year. The monuments at Fatehpur, with all the stories and anecdotes they hold, are a must visit. After sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri complete your journey to Jaipur. Check-in the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this vibrant and colorful city.

DAY 3| JAIPUR

After early morning breakfast, proceed for the full day tour of the Pink city, Jaipur . Drive to Fort Amber, the former capital of Kachhwaha Rajputs. On the way, you will stop to visit the city’s landmark: the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds). Built during the 18th century, the five-storey building features 953 windows from where the royal women used to see the processions. Next you will visit Amber Fort , which lies on a 400-ft-tall hill and is surrounded by the chain of mountains known as Aravali . The City Palace built in 1734, lies in the center of Jaipur and is now the residence of the royal family of Jaipur and includes the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal , palaces and other buildings. After that you will visit Jantar Mantar , an astronomical observatory. The instruments are carved out of stone and marble serving to the sky observation. You will also learn to tie a Jaipuri turban in a variety of ways. Come back to the hotel.

DAY 4| JAIPUR-DELHI (5hrs 30mins – 290kms)

After early morning breakfast, check-out from your hotel and drive back to Delhi. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and proceed for the sightseeing tour of “ The Heart of India”, Delhi. Start your day with tour of Raj Ghat . If time permits, shop in the local market of Chandni Chowk. In the afternoon, visit India Gate , Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple . Drive past the President’s House , Parliament House and the Government Secretariat Buildings . You will be given dinner reservations in Parikrama-The Revolving Restaurant. Enjoy fine dining in the revolving rooftop restaurant. You will then be escorted to Hauz Khas Village which is the clubbing hub of Delhi. Get a glimpse of the Delhi nightlife in here.

Enjoy overnight stay in the hotel at Delhi.

DAY 5| DELHI-BODHGAYA

After breakfast, catch your flight to Bodhgaya. Our representative will escort you to your hotel. Check into the hotel. After lunch, proceed to Bodhgaya city .

“Bodh Gaya is the place where Gautama Buddha attained unsurpassed, supreme Enlightenment. It is a place which should be visited or seen by a person of devotion and which would cause awareness and apprehension of the nature of impermanence”.

Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha-to-be, had been dwelling on the banks of the Nairanjana River with five ascetic followers for six years practicing austerities. Later he realized that austerities could not lead to realization, he abandoned them. His five companions after seeing his failure, deserted him and left for Sarnath.

Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 6| BODHGAYA-RAJGIR-NALANDA-BODHGAYA

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Rajgiri and Nalanda.

Rajgir was once the capital of Magadha Empire until Ajatshatru’s moved it to Pataliputra (Patna) in the 5th century BC. Rajgir is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site for Steps of Buddha Tour, as Buddha had spent 12 years here and the first Buddhist council after the Buddha attained Nirvana was held here. Visit Ajatshatru’s fort, Venuvana , Swarna Bhandar , the Cyclopean wall . Visit the Peace Pagoda on chair lift.

Rajgir sightseeing includes:

Lunch at local Restaurant in Rajgiri. After lunch proceed for Nalanda University.

Nalanda founded in 5th century BC, was one of the world’s great universities. Visit the remains of the brick built Great Stupa and local archeological museum.

After lunch drive to Bodhgaya and on arrival check-in at hotel. Dinner & overnight at hotel while in Steps of Buddha Tour.

DAY 7| BODHGAYA- VARANASI (6hrs-252kms)

After an early breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya. Bodhgaya -the most important of four main Buddhist pilgrimage destinations known as Uruvela in the Buddha’s time.

The two major sacred sites in Bodhgaya are the Mahabodhi Temple and the Bodhi Tree , around which many other temple and monasteries of various Buddhist traditions (Japanese, Tibetan, Bhutanese, Vietnamese, Thai and others) have been built.

Return back to hotel for Lunch. After early check-out and proceed for Varanasi.

Throughout the day and night in pilgrimage season, monks in colorful robes can be seen mediating where the Buddha did, studying Dhama texts, making offerings to the many statues and stupas on the site, and walking around the sacred Mahabodhi Temple.

City tour of the religious town revered both by the Buddhists and Hindus alike. Visit the Mahabodhi Temple , known for its Bodhi Tree where Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Buddha. The tree standing today is believed to have grown from the original Banyan tree under which Lord Buddha mediated.

On arrival check-in at hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

DAY 8| VARANASI-SARNATH-KUSHINAGAR

After breakfast at the hotel, go down to the banks of the river Ganges and board your private boat to witness the Aarti, a prayer to the mother river conducted every day by five priests on the bank of the river.

Later in the evening, take a walk at local market of Banaras city- one of the world’s oldest living cities. Here you can interact with the local people and enjoy local delicacies.

Visit hidden shrines along the riverside to the historic bathing site called Dasashwamedh Ghat , the ten-horse sacrifice Ghat. It is the main and the most spectacular ghat in Varanasi.

Close to the Dasashwamedh Ghat is the Vishvanath Temple , also called the Golden Temple because of the gold plating at its dome.

Later check out and drive to Kushinagar . Stop Enroute at Sarnath.

Sarnath , 10 Kms. from Varanasi is the place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples. The remains date back to as far as the 3rd Century BC, emperor Ashoka founded various institutions, Stupas, monasteries and pillar edicts.

Visit the art collection at the Archaeological museum . The main attraction is Ashokan Pillar -the Ashokan symbol of four back to back lions which has been adopted as the state symbol independent India. Also visit the Mahabodhi Buddha temple and walk around the deer park. Later see the monastery ruins area, Dhameka Stupa .

Lunch will be at local restaurant. After lunch continue your drive to Kushinagar. On arrival, check into the hotel. Rest of the evening free for leisure and relaxation.

Dinner & Overnight stay at the Kushinagar hotel while in Steps of Buddha Tour.

DAY 9|KUSHINAGAR-LUMBINI

After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Kushinagar. Visit Mahaparinirvana Temple and Ramabhar Stupa . Return back to hotel for Lunch.

Here at the age of 80, Buddha passed into Mahaparinirvana (complete nirvana). Buddha was finally freed from the eternal cycle of re-birth. Muktabandhana stupa was built by Malla dynasty to house Buddha’s relics after the cremation.

After early lunch you will check out and proceed to Lumbini .

On arrival visit Lumbini City.

Lord Buddha was born at Lumbini while his mother was on her way to parental home from Kapilavastu- an ancient city in Nepal. Buddha was born during the full moon day in the month of Vaisakh in 623 BC.

On arrival visit 960 Temple in Lumbini.

After sightseeing check into the hotel for overnight stay. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel while in Steps of Buddha Tour.

DAY 10| LUMBINI-SRAVASTI (5hrs – 187kms)

After an early breakfast drive to Sravasti. En route, visit Maya Devi Temple and Ashoka pillar -they are the earliest known sculptural remains from India.

On arrival, check into the hotel. After lunch visit Sravasti. At the time of Buddha, Sravasti was the capital Kingdom of Kosala. Buddha spent 24 monsoon seasons in the Jetvana gardens – most famous Buddhist monasteries in India.

Dinner and Overnight stay in Sravasti Hotel while in Steps of Buddha Tour.

DAY 11| SRAVASTI-LUCKNOW (4hrs – 155kms)

After breakfast, visit Jetvana gardens , Angulimala House – Angulimala, a robber and murderer, is one of the most popular scripture in Buddhist history. He converted from a criminal to a saint and was the only former criminal to be accepted into Buddhist monastic order.

Then after lunch drive to Lucknow. On arrival, check into the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure and local sightseeing.

Dinner and Overnight stay in Lucknow Hotel.

DAY 12|EXCURSION FROM LUCKNOW

After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion at Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary – major wildlife sanctuary of Uttar Pradesh . It’s an hour drive from Lucknow city located on Kanpur-Lucknow Highway in Uttar Pradesh. Spread over an area of less than 3 square kilometers is a perfect spot for migratory birds.

After sightseeing, drive back to Lucknow and shop for souvenirs in the local market.

DAY 13| DEPARTURE FROM INDIA

After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport. Board your flight back home with delightful memories of your trip.

Bodhgaya Tour

For all those on a spiritual quest, Bodh Gaya is one of the four holiest cities of Buddhist faith. Marking the holy spot of the enlightenment of the Master, the site of Bodh Gaya is looked upon with greatest sanctity and became a flourishing Buddhist establishment with numerous temples, stupas and monasteries in the past two millennia. It is deeply associated with the life of Gautama Buddha and it boasts of historical and archeological treasures and witnesses a myriad of tourists and visitors each year to catch a glimpse of its architectural marvels. Devoted Buddhists from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Tibet, Thailand, China, Bhutan and Japan, and tourists from all over throng Bodh Gaya to study Buddhism and the art of meditation. The main attraction here is the MahaBodhi Temple, within which is housed the Bodhi Tree, where Buddha attained salvation. Among other interesting temples are the Japanese Temple with its gold statues and the Thai Temple with its ornate roof and huge golden Buddha. The Tibetan Monastery with colorful paintings and a Bhutanese shrine with bright colored wooden carvings make the small town the most fantastic Buddhist site in the world.

The real essence of Buddhism, you must not miss the Buddha Purnima celebrations or the 3-week long festival for world peace, which offer meditation and scripture recitations and distribution of alms to the poor. His Holiness the Dalai Lama spend some time during this season.

According to tradition a large number of shrines and memorials were erected at the site to commemorate the incidents before after enlightenment but only few now can be recognized. Of the earliest shrines, traditionally attributed to Asoka, only Vajrayana or the sandstone throne with the characteristic Mauryan polish and decorative designs has survived and is seen beneath the holy Bodhi tree. To the Sunga period belongs a portion of the sandstone railing carved with bas-reliefs, typical of the age. The remaining portion of the railing pertains to the Gupta period.

The main brick-built shrine known as the MahaBodhi temple which appears to have been originally erected in circa 2nd century AD, is encumbered with the heavy renovations, the four corner-towers being an arbitrary addition of circa 14th century. Its central tower, standing on a high plinth, is about 55m high and is a straight-edged pyramid of seven stories, relieved by pilasters and chaitya-niches, substantially agreeing with its description left by the Chinese pilgrim Hiuen Tsang. The remaining shrines and stupas mostly belong to the Pala period (9th to 12th century). This absolutely enchanting Buddhist pilgrimage is not just a historical site, but is a center of living faith.

At a distance of 17 kms from Gaya, this highly revered pilgrimage is in Bihar. From the capital, Patna, it is 105 km away.

MahaBodhi temple: The temple is an immense attraction to the Buddhists, and stands near the Maha Bodhi tree under which Tathagat, or Gautama attained enlightenment. The total height of the temple is 170 ft. Its basement is 48 square feet and it rises in the form of a slender Pyramid till it reaches its neck, which is cylindrical in shape. It is a must visit not only due to its importance but also for the architecture and the art objects. The Shiva Lingam inside the temple was installed on 9th century beginning, is a splendid piece of sculpture.

MahaBodhi Tree: The tree is considered holy since Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under it , it is probably the fifth succession of the original tree. Anyone, who likes an ambience of serenity, would understand this place's surroundings to be perfectly weathered for meditation.

Vajrasana: The stone platform, where Lord Buddha sat in meditation while he attained enlightenment is known as Vajrasana. The place is restricted for any tourist activity on it; however, even the sight doesn't fail to excite the spirituality of the watcher.

By Air - Patna Airport is the nearest at a distance of 112 km. The nearest international airport is at Gaya 7 Kms. Air India, Jet airways, Kingfisher and Indigo connect Patna to Calcutta, Bombay, Delhi, Ranchi, Lucknow and various other cities.

By Rail - Gaya (16 km) is the nearest railhead.

Kapilavastu (childhood home), Bodhgaya (where enlightened), Rajgir, Sravasti, and Vaishali (lectured/taught), and Kushinagar (place of death). Also enjoyed seeing Hindu ceremonies along the River Ganga. Biggest advantage of this tour is driving in a smaller vehicle with a small group, as opposed to a large bus with larger tour group (slower pace).

Early morning visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. Breakfast at hotel, later visit Agra fort. Evening transfer to Railway station for Varanasi. Overnight at board.

Taj Mahal, the pinnacle of Mughal architecture, was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1628-1658), grandson of Akbar the great, in the memory of his queen Arjumand Bano Begum, entitled 'Mumtaz Mahal'. Mumtaz Mahal was a niece of empress Nur Jahan and granddaughter of Mirza Ghiyas Beg I'timad-ud-Daulah, wazir of emperor Jehangir.

Arrive Varanasi

Morning meet on arrival at Railway station and transfer to hotel, (We may get rooms after 12:00 hrs, but would try to get few rooms at least to wash & change) Later Visit SARNATH (where Buddha delivered his first sermon). Then city tour and some shopping in Varanasi, Overnight stay at hotel.

Sarnath enjoys the extraordinary privilege of Lord Buddha delivering his first sermon after attaining enlightenment 2500 years ago. It is about 10 km from Varanasi and holds a number of Buddhist sites that include the famous Dhamekh Stupa, the seat of the holy 'Buddha'. You can also visit the ruins of Dharmarajika Stupa and Mulagandha Kuti Temple, where Lord Buddha is said to have rested and meditated while in Sarnath. The Ashoka Pillar built by the emperor Ashoka is a must see in Sarnath. The Lion Capital on top of this pillar is now the National Emblem of India and stands apart for its excellent artistry and carvings.

Varanasi - Bodhgaya

Early morning drive 8 hours to Bodhgaya. Arrive Bodhgaya transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit Mahabodhi Temple & Bodhi Tree, Great Buddha Statue, Niranjana River, Sujata Temple - which is across the Niranjana River & it's 30 minutes walk through the paddy fields. Also visit various other Buddhist Temples in Bodhgaya. Evening transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Bodhgaya is one of the most important and sacred Buddhist pilgrimage center in the world. It was here under a banyan tree, the Bodhi Tree, Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Buddha.

Bodhgaya - Kushinagar

Early morning drive to Kushinagar with hot lunch on way. On arrival checkin at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Located at 55 km from Gorakhpur, Kushinagar is the place where the Lord Buddha uttered his last words "Behold now, brethren, I exhort you, saying, decay is inherent in all component things! Work out your salvation with diligence!" and left for the heaven. A temple dedicated to the event - the Mahaparinirvana temple, stands testimony to the mournful demise. Among the various Stupas of Kushinagar, Rambhar Stupa needs your exploration for it is the place where Lord Buddha was supposedly cremated.

Kushinagar - Lumbini

Morning after breakfast visit Mahaparinirvana Temple (where Buddha took his last breathe) and Rambhar Stupa (cremation site of lord Buddha), Japan Temple.

Afternoon drive 5 hrs to Lumbini (Nepal). While going to Lumbini, stop at India/Nepal border for Visa/Immigration formalities. Later check-in at Hotel. 15 Min. drive from the Nepal Border. Overnight stay at hotel.

Lumbini - Sravasti

Noon visit Lumbini, the Birth place of Lord Buddha. Afternoon drive to Sravasti. On arrival checkin at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Sravasti situated 134 km from Lucknow and 29 km from Balrampur, Sravasti, the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, has the honour for sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetavana Gardens. It is sacred to Buddhists because it is here that Lord Buddha performed the Tirthika heretics.

Sravasti - Lucknow

Morning visit Sravasti, where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons, visit Jetavana and Ananda Bodhi Tree, later drive to Lucknow. Arrive Lucknow transfer to Railway station for Delhi. Overnight at board.

Arrive - Delhi - Departure

On arrival at Delhi railway station meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel for fresh-n-up. Later city sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi. In the evening transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.

Tour Detail

Day 1: arrive gaya - bodhgaya (l/d).

Arrival Gaya airport at by the scheduled flight. Meeting and Greeting at Airport, Proceed to Bodhgaya. Upon arrival sightseeing of Bodhgaya.

Mahabodhi Temple: This beautiful temple built by Ashoka the Great in 3rd Century BC.

Bodhi tree: This sacred tree is about 300 years old. Under this tree Shakyamuni becomes Lord Buddha. One can sit under the tree and can do the meditation.

Niranjana River: Which the Buddha bathed after attaining enlightenment. Sujata House: 2 Km west of Bodhgaya, near the Phalgu River is a temple dedicated to an Uruvela tribeswoman who offered food to the starving Siddhartha.

The 80th Feet Buddha Statue: The unveiling and consecration of the Great Buddha Statue took place on November 18, 1989. The consecration ceremony was graced with the presence of His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama, who blessed the 25-meter statue, the first great Buddha ever built in the history of India. The Statue is now a symbol of the holy place Bodhgaya, next to Mahabohdi Temple which is a World Heritage site, and enjoys constant visits of pilgrims from all over the world. Among local people, it is nicknamed “the 80-foot (25-meter) Buddha Statue.

Day 2: BODHGAYA – VARANASI (B/L/D) 250Kms/05 - 06 Hrs

After breakfast proceed to Varanasi. Upon arrival check –in into hotel.

After lunch visit to

Sarnath : The principle centre of Buddhism. It was here around 530 B.C that Buddha preached his 1st sermon after gaining enlightenment. The city is famous for its Buddhist pilgrimage and the underlying stories of Lord Buddha. The most praised attraction is the Dharmarajika Stupa and massive statue of 4 majestic lions . A museum here is learnt of to be the home of ancient artifacts dating back to 3rd century BC.

Mulgandha Kuti: Mulagandha Kuti Vihar is a welcome break from architectural monotony in Sarnath. Situated amidst brick ruins of ancient Sarnath, this Buddhist Temple is as distinct from any Buddhist Architectural pattern as chalk and cheese. This modern temple that looks truly magnificent with detailed designed patterns in its interiors has been erected by the Maha Bodhi society in the year 1931. The temple is famous for its Murals and Frescoes. Mulagandha Kuti Vihar boasts off some of the most magnificent and colorful Frescoes that have been made by the magical hands of Kosetsu Nosu. Kosetsu Nosu happens to be Japan’s foremost painter. These Frescoes and Murals have rich repositories of Buddhist literature. While Frescoes dominate the interiors of Mulagandha, Murals are largely confined to the exteriors. They can be presently seen on walls and pillars along with the outer columns.

Sarnath Museum: Archaeological Museum Sarnath is the oldest site museum of Archaeological Survey of India in real sense. In order to preserve and display the antiquities found from the site during the excavations, a decision was taken in 1905 by the Government to construct a site museum adjacent to the excavated area at Sarnath.

Day 3: VARANASI – LUMBINI (B/L/D) 390Kms/08 Hrs

Early morning Boat ride on river Ganges to see the beautiful sunrise at Ganges.

Breakfast at the Hotel. After breakfast proceed to Lumbini, En- route Lunch at local restaurant, Arrive Lumbini & check in hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

မနက်စောစောအချိန်တွင် ဂဂါၤမြစ်ထဲသို. နေထွက်ချိန်အမှီလှေဖြင့် လှည့်လည်ကြည့်ရှု လေ့လာ ပါမည်။

ဟိုတယ်၌နံနက်စာ စားသုံးပြီး ဗုဒ္ဓမြတ်စွာဘုရားရှင် မွေးဖွားရာ နီပေါနိုင်ငံ လုမ္ဗိနီဌာနသို. ထွက်ခွာ မည်။

လမ်းခရီး၌ စားသောက်ဆိုင်တွင် နေ.လယ်စာ သုံးဆောင်မည်။

လုမ္ဗိနီရောက်လျှင် ဟိုတယ်၌ ညစာစား၍ ညအိပ်တည်းခို ပါမည်။

Day 4: LUMBINI – KUSHINAGAR (B/L/D) 200Kms/05 Hrs

Breakfast at the Hotel. After Breakfast visit Lumbini Lumbini: The place where Buddha was born. An ancient shrine with an image representing the nativity of Buddha is still preserved. Maya Devi Temple: This temple is supposed to be dedicated to Maya Devi, who is Buddha’s mother, which seems natural as Lumbini in famed as the birth place of Buddha. The temple was built during the 2nd century. Next to the temple there is a pool where Maya Devi used to bath. Ashoka Pillar: built in the year 259BC, this pillar was built by King Ashok, who was Buddhist. When he constructed this pillar, the King exempted the villagers from paying tax and gave out 100 golden coins to the people. In the seventh century, the pillar was struck by lightning and split into two parts. The site was lost for six centuries and covered with dense forest before being re found in 1895. The place was cleared and the pillar reconstructed and the sacred pond which are associated to the roots of Buddhism. Also visit to Kudan & Kapilvastu (If Time Permit). Lunch at hotel then drive to Kushinagar, Arrive Kushinagar check inn hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

စထုတ္ထနေ့။ လုမ္ဗိနီ (နီပေါ) – ကုသိနာရုံ

ဟိုတယ်၌နံနက်စာသုံးဆောင်ပြီး မြတ်စွာဘုရားလောင်း ဖွားမြင်ရာ လုမ္ဗိနီအင်ကြင်းတော (သံဝေဇနိယဌာန) ရှိ တန်ခိုးကြီး ဘုရားစေတီများ၊ ဘုရားလောင်း၏ မယ်တော်မာယာ ရေချိုးသန်.စင်ရာရေကန်၊ မယ်တော်မာယာ ဘုရားကျောင်း၊ အသောက မင်းကြီး၏ကျောက်စာတိုင် စသည့် အထင်ကရ နေရာများသို. သွားရောက် ဖူးမြော်ပြီးကုသိနာရုံ မြို.သို.ထွက်ခွာပါမည်။ ကုသိနာရုံမြို.သို. ရောက်လျှင်ဟိုတယ်၌ ညစာစား၍ ညအိပ်တည်းခို ပါမည်။

Day 5: KUSHINAGAR - VAISHALI – BODHGAYA (B/L/D) 410 Kms/10 Hrs

Breakfast at the hotel. After Breakfast sightseeing of Kushinagar: Kushinagar is the place that the Buddha chose for his Mahaparinirvana, or final exit from this earth. There are several new monasteries and temples. Rambhar Stupa: which stands on the spot where the body of the Lord was cremated. Rambhar Stupa that marks Buddha’s cremation ground. Mahakashyapa lit the funeral pyre at Mukutabandha Vihara (Rambhar Stupa) in Kushinagar. Today not much remains of this stupa expect a large brick mound rising to a height of almost 15 meters set within a well-kept park. Mahaparinirvana Temple: This has the enshrining large recumbent figure of Buddha in the state of Nirvana.

Matha Kuar : The Matha Kuar shrine has a statue of Buddha dating back to the 10th century. This 3 m high statue is said to have been built of a single stone. The statue at the temple depicts Lord Buddha in a Bhumi Sparsh Mudra. It also shows Buddha sitting under the Bodhi Tree, which symbolically represents ‘the Enlightenment of Buddha. Then drive to Vaishali, Arrive Vaishali & lunch at local restaurant, After lunch visit Vaishali.

Vaishali : This holds special significance for Buddhist devotees. It is a small village surrounded by banana and mango groves as well as rice fields. But excavations in the area have brought to light an impressive historical past. The epic Ramayana tells the story of the heroic King Vishal who ruled here. Historians maintain that one of the world’s first democratic republics with an elected assembly of representatives flourished here in the 6th century B.C. in the time of the Vajjis and the Lichchavis Lord Buddha visited Vaishali frequently. Dinner & Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Dongeswari Caves : Dungeshwari Cave Temples are the ancient caves, located 12 km northeast of Bodhgaya. These are caves Lord Buddha underwent years of self-mortification before descending to Bodhgaya. Three main caves contain several shrines for Buddhists and one for Hindus. Dungeshwari cave temples are also popular as Sujata Sthan to local people .

Lunch at hotel,

After lunch transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight for onward destination.
