Day one decided to do the river cruise, had the boat all to ourselves at a very reasonable price, and of we went it was amazing and at the other end we actually saw a large turtle up close. I have to say, though we were disappointed with the beach it was over crowded and the toilet and changing facilities were disgusting so we decided not to stay for a swim. We travelled back and had a look round the town, its full of bars and restaurants there were some great places to eat at quite reasonable prices. Everyone was soaked. I was very disappointed as there was no mention of this in the tour description when I booked. I thought it was a tour to see mountains, a waterfall and special beach. There is a nice lunch provided, but also a 45 minute stop an outdoor barn that has become a market selling reproduction T shirts etc and an opportunity to buy refreshments. I'm 65 and very unsteady on my feet on wet tiles, but the staff were supportive in all senses. The pressure during the massages I received was exactly right for me. Still worth the money though. Had coach transfer and return free from the hotel to and from the boat. All day trip on the boat to the mudbaths and thermal pool free of charge. Dinner on the boat then off up the river to Turtle beach. Beautiful little sandy beach you can walk into the sea. Reception and changing areas were like something out of a post apocalyptic event... Think the Walking Dead series... Broken fixtures and fittings everywhere... Park itself was in equally poor condition, two rides out of action, broken tiles and bolts lying around, cigarette butts and rubbish everywhere.. am afraid the aqua dream has become the aqua nightmare. Cleopatra Island among the beautiful Gokova Bay is an excellent place to visit. The stunning scenery gives you a delightful feeling and you’ll love to swim and play among fantastic coves around here. The island has pristine, white sandy beach with fine sand particles as soft as flowers! You’ll feel as if you are walking on clouds while you walk on this beach.

Absolutely beautiful. Had a fantastic day. Swam in lovely coves and stopped off at a lovely market in Turunc on the way. Have taken some wonderful photographs along the way. A must do boat trip!

We were picked from our hotel in Marmaris at 9 am and our shuttle bus took us to Camli Village (about 20 minutes away) to catch our boat to Sedir Island. It was smooth sail to the island (the island is a museum entrance fee to the island is 20 tl but our trip also includes the entrance fee so we didnt pay any extra). There is literally no buildings on the island. The island was outstanding! Beautiful protected beach in a small bay with crystal clear and blue water. It was a great trip with beautiful sea, beach, ruins, and no hotels !

Cleopatra beach is one of the most beautiful place that I had the privilege to swim in. Fantastic beach and sands here. The place must be the first one on your visit list. There are also historical sites to visit, follow the path to the ruins around the beach; church, basilica, theater, old walls, and the temple of Apollo. All of the ruins are from the Hellenistic and Byzantine periods.

We booked the boat trip to Cleopatras island, and immediately received my ticket via email will all the details. Semih was who I dealt with, excellent communication. We had a beautiful trip, the boat ride and views were great. Once we arrived to the island of Cleopatra, we got to the beach area. We had 2 hour to just swim, explore, chill and relax, then we had our lunch on the boat. It was the tastiest meal Ive had in ages! The meat was cooked so well, the salad was lovely and so was the rice, I honestly would do the boat trip just for the food. Its really worth every penny, the staff were great. Id definitely recommend it.

Fabulous tour for swimming & great beach. We stayed on the beach, it was so peaceful. Take some water and snack in your beach bag, it is expensive on the island. We booked our tour from Mares Travel online and saved many pounds!!!

Just a spectacular beach and island that cant be easily reached, we booked the boat cruise online. Expect a lot of people, but colours are mesmerising and the water is crystal clear. Great place to visit.

Our tour starts with a drive through amazing natural scenery of Çamli village which is located about 17 km from Marmaris, so this cozy dive will last approximately 20 minutes. After the short and comfortable drive, you will get to Marmaris harbor, board our gorgeous double-decked boat and start your sailing through Gökova Gulf.

During this trip we will take two swim breaks, and we’ll also have some delicious barbeque for lunch. After our tasty lunch, you will get some free time to roam the Cleopatra beach. During the trip back to Marmaris, you will again have a chance to take a swim at the wonderful Lighthouse Island.

Other two swim breaks will take place at the gorgeous Ince Kum bay and at the lovely Laciver Koy, where you will also have the opportunity to dive and snorkel

Cleopatra Island is a unique place, where you will get a chance to be active, have some fun and explore some ancient history as well. Fresh air, clean turquoise water, beautiful golden landscapes and captivating history sites guarantee a memorable vacation.

Cleopatra or Sedir Island is well-known for its vast golden beach and the captivating ancient city of Cedrae. Most popular and frequently visited places on this beautiful island are the ancient theatre ruins and a charming secluded beach in the small bay on the northwest part of the island.

It’s believed that queen Cleopatra used to swim there, and that the pale-pink sands on this wonderful beach have been brought by ships from North Africa, to please her. That type of sand can only be found in Egypt, and Mark Anthony shipped it to Sedir, because his beloved Cleopatra was nostalgic. On the further east area of the island, there is an Agora where, according to epigraphs, athletic festivities use to take place.

Golden shade of the sand on the lovely beaches of this island is a result of a long-lasting process of seashell dissolving. That is very rare, so the beach is under conservation by the government, and visitor are not allowed to take any sand with them or spread towels on the beach as the sand will stick on to them.

Fine Sand Bay: Ince Kum is a National Park, famous in the region for its fine golden sand and crystal clear, turquoise waters. Ince Kum actually means ‘fine sands’ in Turkish. Here we will take our first 40-minute long swim break, so you can snorkel, swim, or just sunbathe on the beach.

Deep Blue Bay: Other also very popular bay at the Gökova Gulf is the Deep Blue Bay. The waters here are particularly deep and appear dense blue in color, hence the name Deep Blue Bay. Because of its depth, this bay is also a popular stopping point for yachts.

Lunch Break & Cleopatra Island: We are expected to reach the Cleopatra Island by midday. There we will have a tasty Turkish lunch and then you will get some free time to take a stroll and explore the island by yourself. Apart from the historical remains, there are also some delightful cafeterias and toilets on the island, so you will be able to freshen-up as well. Here you can swim, sunbathe and explore the island or the famous beach which Queen Cleopatra herself loved visiting.

Lighthouse Island: The Lighthouse Island is a serene and secluded place in the Gökova Gulf. It is part of the National Park and is under the protection of Turkish government. We will spend 40 minutes here, and you can swim, snorkel or sunbathe on the lovely beach.

Return to Marmaris: This beautiful tour lasts for about 7 hours, and once it is over, our shuttle buses will take you back to your hotel in Marmaris.

What a great day that was!! This boat trip is a must!! First of all, the colour of the water is unbelievable. The sea is clean and perfect for swimming. The island is unique! As our boat moves from Çamlı, we take swim breaks at two different places; one at Ince Kum bay and the other at the Laciver Koy. These places are excellent locations to enjoy swimming and snorkelling. From here we sail further to the Cleopatra Island where a luscious BBQ lunch awaits us. After the lunch break, it is the time to explore the famous island of Cleopatra. You will have 2 hours long free-time opportunity to walk on the amazing sandy beach, swim or snorkel at the island of Cleopatra. The amphitheatre and the fortifications of the ancient city site of Cedrea along with the breathtaking backdrop of the mighty mountains and the bright azure waters of the bay are an added attraction.

The Cleopatra Island is known for its pale pink sands that squeak as you walk over them. This legendary island is believed to be once a secret meeting place to Queen Cleopatra and Mark Antony. Impressed by the beautiful setting and serenity of the island, Queen Cleopatra used to visit this place again and again. Mark Antony, in order to please his lover, made this island even more impressive by importing special sands from the northern Africa. The sands you’ll find here now are found nowhere else in the world. This is a specially protected natural park and no one is allowed to disturb or take the sand away from here. As one walks bare-footed on this amazing beach, the sand squeaks below your feet. One feels as if he is walking on clouds! It is an amazing feeling, the words can’t depict.

Day one decided to do the river cruise, had the boat all to ourselves at a very reasonable price, and of we went it was amazing and at the other end we actually saw a large turtle up close. I have to say, though we were disappointed with the beach it was over crowded and the toilet and changing facilities were disgusting so we decided not to stay for a swim. We travelled back and had a look round the town, its full of bars and restaurants there were some great places to eat at quite reasonable prices. Still worth the money though. Had coach transfer and return free from the hotel to and from the boat. All day trip on the boat to the mudbaths and thermal pool free of charge. Dinner on the boat then off up the river to Turtle beach. Beautiful little sandy beach you can walk into the sea. Reception and changing areas were like something out of a post apocalyptic event... Think the Walking Dead series... Broken fixtures and fittings everywhere... Park itself was in equally poor condition, two rides out of action, broken tiles and bolts lying around, cigarette butts and rubbish everywhere.. am afraid the aqua dream has become the aqua nightmare. According to legend this island is given to Cleopatra by Mark Anthony as a wedding gift, but Cleopatra did not like the sand on the beach; so this special sand brought from Egypt. Whether this is true or fiction is not known, but the sand on the beach of Cleopatra in structure to a truly unique and nowhere else on the planet is no longer found, except for one place in the north of Egypt.

Walk past the pines and the rocky shore, and even some ancient ruins and an Amphitheatre in the heart of the island.

Day one decided to do the river cruise, had the boat all to ourselves at a very reasonable price, and of we went it was amazing and at the other end we actually saw a large turtle up close. I have to say, though we were disappointed with the beach it was over crowded and the toilet and changing facilities were disgusting so we decided not to stay for a swim. We travelled back and had a look round the town, its full of bars and restaurants there were some great places to eat at quite reasonable prices. Everyone was soaked. I was very disappointed as there was no mention of this in the tour description when I booked. I thought it was a tour to see mountains, a waterfall and special beach. There is a nice lunch provided, but also a 45 minute stop an outdoor barn that has become a market selling reproduction T shirts etc and an opportunity to buy refreshments. I'm 65 and very unsteady on my feet on wet tiles, but the staff were supportive in all senses. The pressure during the massages I received was exactly right for me.
