Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Photo Tour

This December, we were fortunate enough to snag a last-minute Copper Creek studio for a night. This was our first time staying in the Wilderness Lodge. I was blown away by the atmosphere, especially with the Christmas decorations, and can easily see why this rustic resort is so well-received. The theming is mesmerizing. Everything from the wooded landscaping, the carved totem poles, the stone fire place, to the giant pine logs of the lobby’s architecture made me feel like I was in a national park lodge in the mid-west.

Our room was on the first floor which is actually below the lobby. While we always request the highest floor possible to avoid noise, I was surprised how quiet and peaceful this first floor room was and how private the balcony felt.

There is no distinction in views when you book a Copper Creek studio. Everyone gets a view of the woods, the pool, and some are lucky to see Bay Lake or Magic Kingdom fireworks. While our view wasn’t of fireworks or water, I can’t help but feel there are no losers when it comes to Copper Creek views. I enjoyed our quiet serenity of the woods and wildlife.

While you can’t book a specific view on the reservation system, studios are labeled as Deluxe Studio or Deluxe Studio with Walk-In Shower . Since we don’t own at this resort, we would most likely take whatever is available when trying to book here. When given the option, I prefer a room with a bathtub and was happy it was the category we ended up getting. Bathrooms at Copper Creek are pretty standard in layout to most other DVC Resorts. There is a large sink outside of the bathroom and inside, a tub and toilet. Since this is a newer DVC resort, everything was well updated in the perfect blend of modern meets rustic.

Although these studios are some of the smallest we have experienced (until we stay in our first Riviera tower studio in June), they have every amenity I would expect and then some. Upon entering the studio, there is the typical closet with a safe, ironing board, extra bed linens, and space to hang clothing. The kitchenette includes a coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, and cupboards with dishes. The pull out pantry is a nice touch and offers a place to store some snacks.

copper creek studio tour

The main living space gives guest a queen-sized bed and couch that pulls out to another queen-sized bed, giving the studios a sleeping capacity of four. There are two nightstands (something I appreciate that’s not in every DVC studio) that have plug-in areas for charging devices and three storage drawers each. There is additional storage inside the dresser, inside the bench, and in the coffee table which pulls out so that you could eat or work while sitting on the couch. There is also a table with chairs. I love the design of this table and chairs as it is just enough to use while not taking up too much space in the room. The bed is lifted enough to provide some additional storage underneath.

I like the style of this room. While I may be in the minority, I’m a big fan of DVC ditching carpet in place of the hardwood look. It feels cleaner and more modern. One of my favorite things to check out in each DVC room is the artwork. I was not disappointed by the little Disney touches here that connected the studios to the overall theme of the resort.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Copper Creek. It is definitely a great addition to the DVC family of resorts and we look forward to our next stay at this beautiful, rustic lodge.

Like the idea of the pull out cabinet. We usually had to leave food on counter. Looks very nice but I do have one question, is there room to put a scooter in overnight? Doesn’t look like much room when you come in which is typically used for storing a scooter overnight.

When we’re in Florida we normally leave the scooters in the corridor. Bring the batteries inside to charge them up.

The Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Villas offer some of the most delightful rooms at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This portion of the resort opened a few years back and is still considered fairly new. The main portion of Copper Creek is conveniently located off the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. The resort falls into the deluxe resort category. If you are looking for a comparison you might want to check out our Disney World Resorts list .

While staying at Copper Creek you can expect boat and bus service to Magic Kingdom park. There is also bus service available to the other theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.

Copper Creek Villas consists of the following room types: Deluxe Studio Villas, Deluxe Studio Villas with Walk-In Showers, One Bedroom Villas, Two Bedroom Villas, Three Bedroom Grand Villas, and Cabins.

Disney World Copper Creek at Wilderness Lodge

For the sake of this review, we’ll be taking an in-depth look at the Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Villas. If you are looking for a standard room size that offers ample storage space, we feel this comes in as a top choice. Let’s take a further look at all the amenities this studio offers.

Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Villas

The studio rooms at all of the vacation club resorts come with a queen bed and a queen size couch bed. Some of the rooms like the deluxe studio at Riviera Resort also have a single size trundle bed. The Copper Creek studio villas do not offer the trundle option.

However, most will find the studio villas here are a little more spacious due to the storage space and layout of the rooms.

The sofa has a coffee table on rollers that serves a dual purpose. The table top lifts making for a convenient dining or work space.

Here’s a view from the sofa. There’s also storage space if needed inside the table.

I really enjoyed the cushioned bench area with storage drawer underneath. At the end of the day, have a seat, remove your shoes, and store them below. This is a great way to keep everyone’s shoes out of the way while sharing a hotel room.

Shoe Storage in Copper Creek Deluxe Studio

Additionally, you’ll find plenty of drawer storage in the dresser underneath the television. These newer rooms also offer plenty of electrical outlets and USB outlets for charging electronic devices.

And you’ll also notice that these platform style beds allow for under the bed luggage storage.

The rooms at Copper Creek offer a bit of a rustic feel with medium tone hardwoods. Usually there are a few throw pillows in the room adding a pop of colors. Right now they have been removed due to the elimination of commonly touched items.

The vanity space has nice granite counters and a raised edge providing additional counter space for personal items. The makeup mirror is also a nice touch.

Another thing to note about this room is that the vanity area provides drawers and extra storage underneath.

The Copper Creek deluxe studio bath comes with a shower and tub combination.

If you would prefer we can also reserve you this same room with a walk-in shower. Just make sure to let us know which room works best for your group. Firefly Travels can always provide different prices for all your options. That way we can help you secure the room that works best for you.

One of the biggest benefits of booking a studio villa is the kitchenette area. A kitchenette provides a space to prepare small meals in the room. It’s also nice for storing and reheating leftovers.

Many guests use this space to prepare breakfast before heading out to the parks. This can also help cut the cost of a few meals.

A pantry is available to store non-perishable food items. As shown below, the shelves pull out and allow plenty of room for food items.

The deluxe studios also come with a mini refrigerator. This size is a step up from what you would find in a standard Disney hotel room.

Up above the sink area you’ll find a microwave, toaster oven, and dinnerware. Normally, there are ceramic dishes, but at this time all of the items are disposable and individually-wrapped.

Each room comes with an iron, ironing board, and a safe in the wall. We always store our electronics in the safe before heading over to the theme parks.

Each room at the Copper Creek Villas comes with either a balcony or patio if you receive a ground floor room.

Copper Creek Extras

This section of the resort has rooms that make the resorts main pool, Copper Creek Springs, easily accessible. In fact, half of the Copper Creek rooms face out to the pool, while the others offer more of a view of the resorts grounds.

Copper Creek Springs Pool

You can probably tell that the pool area is really pleasant. Copper Creek is to the immediate left of the photo below. The large center building with flags in the background is the resort’s main lobby.

You’ll also find a great splash park designed specifically with younger children in mind.

In addition to the pool area, Wilderness Lodge offers great dining, scenic views of Bay Lake, and a woodsy retreat setting with a higher-end feel.

Disney’s Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Villa Room Tour

May 6, 2023 · Leave a Comment

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is truly a work of art.  Located in the Magic Kingdom resort area of Walt Disney World, this beautiful resort is inspired by the Pacific Northwest and features rustic decor and natural elements.  The lodge is meant to make you feel like you’re in a majestic mountain lodge with wooden beams and large stone fireplaces. The aesthetic is absolutely breathtaking and instantly makes you feel cozy and relaxed.

Overall Thoughts on our Deluxe Studio Villa at Disney’s Copper Creek

Table service, minnie van and ride share transportation, electrical water pageant, looking for other walt disney world resort room tours check this room tours up next.

Copper Creek is one of the Disney Vacation Club resorts located on Walt Disney World property. Boulder Ridge Villas are also located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge , but that’s for another day and another post.

The question I see asked a lot is, “Is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge different from Copper Creek at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge?” And the answer is yes!   Copper Creek has its own wing within Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.  When you walk into the entrance of the Lobby from the front, this Disney Vacation Club resort is located on the right-hand side of the lodge. Villas are slightly different than if you booked a regular hotel room on the ‘Lodge’ side. Villas offer a little more square footage, contain a living area, and a kitchenette, while a hotel room usually has two queen beds.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge rug leading to porch from the main lobby area.

Our Deluxe Studio Walk-In Shower Villa at Disney’s Copper Creek

I was able to book a Deluxe Studio with Walk-In Shower Villa for one night about 2 months out from our spring break vacation.  We had visited Disney’s Wilderness Lodge frequently for dining but had never had the opportunity to stay here.  So when availability showed up during my solo/couples-only Disney vacation, I jumped on the opportunity.  I had to scope the place out before taking my kids here, right? Haha! And I was not disappointed.

Head to my YouTube channel to see a full Deluxe Studio Room Tour of my stay at Disney’s Copper Creek Resort.

Walking into my room 7112, located on the 7th floor, I was immediately greeted by fresh white colors and woods of different colors and lots of natural light brought in from the balcony, which was so welcoming.

On your left hand side, is a massive full-length mirror and opposite that a closet with lots of hangers, an ironing board, and extra blankets. However, no vacuum or broom to be found, like you can see in my Disney’s Riviera Resort Room Tour. Generally, you’re given one of these items so that you’re able to clean up in your room, since daily housekeeping is not given for DVC rooms.  Luckily, we didn’t have kids with us on this trip, so it wasn’t necessary, but I’m sure housekeeping wouldn’t mind dropping off a broom and dustpan for you if you called.

Kitchenette at Copper Creek at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

The kitchenette has a very narrow, yet deep storage ‘spice’ rack type of shelf where you can hold pantry essentials like peanut butter, jelly, sauces, syrups, boxes of cereal, etc. While kitchenettes don’t offer a full kitchen like that of a Disney’s Riviera Resort 1-Bedroom Villa , they try to set you up as much as possible. They offer a mini-fridge ( NOT a beverage cooler like you can find at Disney’s All-Star Music or Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort), a toaster, and a microwave.  So while you’re not able to make full-course dinners in this type of kitchen, you are able to prepare easier, faster meals, like sandwiches, toasted bagels, instant oatmeal, etc.

Kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in our Deluxe Studio Villa at Copper Creek.

You are also given a full size 12-cup coffee maker with a cone filter.  I highly suggest to bring your own coffee and coffee filters from home (or have it delivered with a grocery service).  While Disney has certainly upgraded their coffee offerings from the disgusting Nescafe (or Nes-crap as Disney fans called it lol), having the coffee comforts from home is just plain nice.

Bedroom and Living Area

The bedroom and living space in our Deluxe Studio Walk-In Shower Villa provides plenty of room to move around and is a stylish retreat after a day of partaking in the Monorail Bar Crawl.  The queen-size bed was extremely comfortable (so comfortable in fact, that I slept through my 7am alarm to try for the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind…oops!).  There was ample amount of outlets and USB ports around this area to be able to charge all of our electronic devices, which is great, compared to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Villa looking at couch that turns into a sofa bed, with coffee table and queen sized bed.

The lighting in the living room and bedroom area was fantastic!  I hate being in rooms where the lighting makes the environment just drab and dark.  The couch folds out into a queen-size sleeper sofa for those with larger parties.  Generally, sheets are already made on the sleeper sofa, so you would just need to grab that extra blanket and pillows from the hallways closet.

The coffee table was very, very cool.  This table not only acts as a tv tray that you can bring up towards you if you’re sitting on the couch, but it can hold storage as well!   You can see the video of me pulling the tabletop up on my Disney’s Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Villa Tour.  I think that is such a great touch, especially if you have an occupancy of four.  Two people can eat or work on the couch, and two others can eat at the smaller table with two chairs.

Dining Table & Dresser

Speaking of which, against the wall opposite the bed, is a small table that has two cushioned chairs with a very easily accessible outlet to charge your electronics.  Thank you Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!  I’ve found that most of the outlets in the older DVC resorts are hidden so it’s more aesthetically pleasing, however, having it out in the open, is so much more helpful than us having to go on the hunt for them.

Looking at tv, dresser, small table and two chair from corner of our deluxe studio villa at copper creek & cabins at Disney's wilderness lodge.

Next to the dining table and mirror, is a very awesome and unique dresser.  You can’t really tell in my photo, but you can see it in my room tour, that all of the drawer pulls are different! This really adds to the uniqueness of the room without making it look tacky.  Above the dresser, you have two more exposed outlets and a large flat-screen tv.

Bathroom at Disney’s Copper Creek

This bathroom is completely modern and gorgeous with wooden touches and black fixtures.  There is ample storage near the vanity area and sink.  By the way, there are two doors for this restroom.  One, is a very large heavy door with a mirror on it, to completely shut off the bathroom from the rest of the villa.  The other sliding door is located inside the wall of the toilet area.  I love the option of privacy for both areas of the bathroom!

Sink, toilet, and shower area in a Deluxe Studio Walk-in Shower Villa at Copper Creek.

The walk-in shower and toilet area is roomy with plenty of towels and pegs to hold robes or bath towels.  The frosted shower glass windows help to leave you not too exposed, which is a great touch lol.  I really like that they are getting rid of the dingy bath curtains that some resorts have. Also to note, while this is considered a “walk-in shower” there is still a very small ledge. It’s about 6 inches tall that you need to step over in order to get into the shower.

Closet up of frosted glass shower with fresh towels in bathroom.

There is also no tub in this type of villa. If you’re needing a tub, you’ll want to book a Deluxe Studio, not a Deluxe Studio Walk-In Shower villa. But if you happen to get this and you have children, no worries! There’s a handheld shower attachment in addition to a rain shower head, that you can use for smaller children.  In fact, my kids at very young ages (around 1.5 years old) began taking showers just due to room types that we’ve had in the past that had no tubs.  This could be a great opportunity to introduce your children to the usefulness of a shower.

The Balcony in our Deluxe Studio Walk-in Shower Villa

I’ll admit, I was not a massive fan of our balcony. Y ou can see the whole patio and view it on my Copper Creek Villa Tour.  The walls on both sides of the balcony were private from the other villas, which I did like.  However, the front wall of the balcony was so high, your only view when sitting down is of the wall!

You have to stand to see anything, and actually, our view was pretty nice once you stood up. You’re able to see the Boulder Ridge Cove pool and you can see (and slightly hear) the Disney Buses that take you to the theme parks. It’s potentially a very gorgeous forest view, but unfortunately, you’ll have to enjoy it standing up.

Copper Creek Deluxe Studio Villa living space and bedroom .

I absolutely LOVED our Deluxe Studio Villa!  The location of our room couldn’t have been more perfect! It was right off the elevators and close to the lobby. Our villa was clean and well-equipped with present-day luxuries.  The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the aesthetics of the room were stunning and well-thought out.

My only gripe would be the balcony.  I understand the height when you have small children, but why not make it plexiglass so we can see out? Our view was marvelous and I would have loved to have some coffee on my balcony in the morning.  But that did not turn me away from the fact that I absolutely NEED to bring my children here on our next Walt Disney World vacation.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge provides a variety of ways to get around the Walt Disney World Resort to make it easy and efficient for guests.  Here are some transportation options.

Bus Transportation

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge offers complimentary bus transportation to all four theme parks as well as providing transportation to Disney Springs. The bus rides are efficient and can hold a lot of guests at one time, which makes this transportation option a great way to get around Disney World.  The bus station at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is located just outside of the lobby area and there are signs showing you the way to the covered bus stop.

This complimentary bus service begins running 45 minutes prior to theme park opening and runs one hour after theme park closing. Travel times may vary depending on the time of day, but here’s a general idea of how long it can take to arrive at various destinations via the busses:

  • From the Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom – 7 minutes
  • From the Wilderness Lodge to Epcot – 15 minutes to 20 minutes
  • From the Wilderness Lodge to Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 15 to 20 minutes
  • From the Wilderness Lodge to Animal Kingdom Park – 15 to 20 minutes
  • From the Wilderness Lodge to Disney Springs – 20 minutes

Watercraft Transportation at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Want to take a scenic route to the Magic Kingdom?  Take a relaxing, scenic boat ride on the beautiful waters of Bay Lake!  You’ll even get to see the magnificent Bay Lake Tower at Contemporary Resort on your ride over.  The dock is located just outside of the lobby of the resort. Just follow the signage to get to the dock.  The short boat ride is only about 10-15 minutes long and will take you directly to the Magic Kingdom entrance. Your drop-off is right next to the security, so it’s the closest you could get!

If you’re wanting to visit Magic Kingdom, make sure you get in the line marked with a Red Flag.  This indicates that red-flagged boats are going to the Magic Kingdom and back to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.  If you’re wanting to check out Disney’s Fort Wilderness, you would get in the line marked with a Blue Flag. Don’t worry, signage is placed where it’s easy to read and understand, and of course, you can always ask a cast member if you’re needing further help.  Boat service runs daily and typically starts launching 30 minutes prior to Magic Kingdom opening, with departures every 20 to 30 minutes. This service typically ends about 1-2 hours after Magic Kingdom closes.

If you’re interested in a faster mode of transportation, y ou should check out my post on Disney’s Riviera Resort . There, I talk about these other types of transportation that you could use within the Walt Disney World resort.

Activities at Copper Creek at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Pool time at disney’s wilderness lodge.

There are two pools for any guests use who are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, Copper Creek, or Boulder Ridge.  The first pool is the Copper Creek Springs Pool , which is the main pool you can see off of the viewing area of the lobby. This pool features a 67-foot water slide, a hot tub, and a kid’s water park area to play in. This is probably the more popular of the two pools.  Per a cast member, the ‘quieter’ pool, is the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool , located near the Boulder Ridge Villas of this deluxe resort. Here you will find a whirlpool spa along with another water park play area. Pool hours are from 8:00 am – 11:00 pm, but hours of operation may change due to weather.

There you can find a variety of workout equipment like free weights, elliptical machines, exercise balls, and treadmills. You can find the fitness center near the Copper Creek Springs Pool, on the Boulder Ridge Villa section side.

Fishing and Boat Rentals

There is also dockside fishing available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness campground for $7 for ages 4-12. For ages 13 and up it is $19 for 30 minutes of pond fishing.

Laundry Facilities at Copper Creek

Disney Vacation Club Members staying at either Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge Villas can use the washers and dryers at no additional charge.  One of the laundry facilities is located just past Roaring Fork of the main building, and the other facility is located on the ground floor of the Boulder Ridge wing.

This electrical water pageant all depends on weather conditions.  Check with a cast member for more information before making plans to see this fun Disney experience!

  • Deluxe Studios – These are the smallest Copper Creek rooms that offer 356 square feet of living space and can fit up to four guests. These rooms include a kitchenette, queen-sized bed, and a double-sized sleeper sofa.
  • One-Bedroom Villas – These villas offer a full kitchen, a master bedroom that is separate from the living space and has a king size bed, and a washer and dryer.  One bedroom villas are 757 square feet and sleep up to 4 guests.
  • Two-Bedroom Villas –  These villas have two separate bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two queen beds, and can accommodate up to 8 guests.  These villas offer 1,076 square feet of space.
  • Three-Bedroom Grand Villas – This type of guest room offers three separate bedrooms, with one bedroom housing a king-size bed, and the other two bedrooms holding two queen size beds in each room. There is one living room space with a double-size sleeper sofa. Here you get 2,744 square feet of space and this villa accommodates up to 12 guests.
  • Cascade Cabins – These waterfront cabins offer two bedrooms, one with a king bed, and the other with a queen bed. There’s a living room with a double-size sleeper sofa, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private hot tub on the screened-in porch. They can accommodate up to 8 guests and are 1,708 square feet.

View Types at Copper Creek

When you book a specific category of room (studio, 1-bedroom, etc.) you’re given the options of views to book from, from Standard to Courtyard to Lake view, depending on preference and price.  Here are the view types that could be available to you when booking your next stay at Copper Creek:

  • Standard View – The most affordable room type features views of the parking lot or the resort’s gardens.
  • Courtyard View – This view type faces inward towards the center of the hotel facing the various ‘trails’, and rock features.
  • Pool View – Depending on the location of the room, you could see the Copper Creek Springs Pool with either a partial, or unobstructed view.
  • Woods View – This offers guests a view of the forest and trees surrounded by Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
  • Nature View – These rooms offer views of the surrounding wilderness including trees and natural landscaping.
  • Water View – Beautiful, scenic views of Bay Lake from your balcony.

FAQ’s about Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

These are two different resorts located on Disney’s Wilderness Lodge property. They are both Disney Vacation Club resorts and share amenities with Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The only main difference between the two is the slight difference in theming. Also, Boulder Ridge Villas are located further away from the main building, giving you a bit more peace and quiet.

While the name of the main pool is “Copper Creek Springs Pool”, anyone staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge Villas, or Copper Creek Villas & Cabins are free to use this pool, along with the, “Boulder Ridge Cove Pool”.

Absolutely! If you are not a guest staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, including Copper Creek & Boulder Ridge Villas, you will need a dining reservation at Whispering Canyon Cafe or Story Book Dining at Artist Point to park your vehicle. However, if you’re traveling from a theme park via bus or boat, you are more than welcome to tour the beautiful lodge.

Check-in time at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins is at 4:00 pm and Check-out time is at 11:00 am.

Fire Rock Geyser, located off a path behind the Copper Creek Springs Pool, goes off on the hour, every hour between 7:00 am – 10:00 pm. This geyser is a homage to Yellowstone National Parks very own geyser, “Old Faithful”.

Copper creek villas at disney’s wilderness lodge | deluxe studio.

Located inside of the Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club resorts — Copper Creek Villas. The Wilderness Lodge itself is hands-down my favorite Walt Disney World resort so I’ll take any opportunity to stay there! The theming is so magical (especially at the holidays!!) and I can’t get enough! 🙂

The Wilderness Lodge reminds me of the Grand Californian over in Disneyland! You can see a Grand Californian room tour here .

We recently stayed in a Deluxe Studio at Copper Creek Villas. The room was fantastic! Let’s take a look!

The Deluxe Studios at Copper Creek Villas offer a queen size bed and pull-out sofa for sleeping. When we stay in a Deluxe Studio that only sleeps 4, my kids will share the pull-out.

I do love when DVC rooms offer the 5th sleeper pull-down under the TV (then our daughter sleeps on the pull-down and our son on the pull-out).

The bed was comfortable, no complaints! I like how the bed frame allows for luggage to be stored underneath and out of the way.

The living area has the couch and a storage coffee table (the top hinges open!).

Across from the couch is a little seating area with a small table. My kids liked swiveling the TV over and eating here while watching the Classic Mickey cartoons (channel 30 — this is the bedtime story channel at night too!).

Next to the small eating area is the media console/ dresser combo and the large TV.

You also have a storage bench on this wall as well. Perfect spot to put shoes or toys at the end of the day so that they’re out of the way!

Right next to the storage bench and across from the bathroom is the kitchenette.

The bathroom vanity area has a sliding door with large mirror for privacy from the room.

And then the toilet and shower / tub also have a sliding door for privacy from the vanity area.

Individual toiletries are provided.

One random thing that I really liked about this room was the Master Lighting light switch near the entrance door. My kids love to play with the lights near their bed at bedtime and when you turn the master lighting switch off, none of the other switches work! No playing with the lights and delaying bedtime ALSO no surprise light blinding at 4am HAHA!

Hope you enjoyed this look at the Deluxe Studio at Copper Creek Villas! 🙂

You can see a standard Wilderness Lodge room tour here .

Photo Tour of a Studio at Disney’s Copper Creek Villas

By Dave Shute

(For the first page of this review of Copper Creek Villas, see this .)

THE STUDIOS AT DISNEY’S COPPER CREEK VILLAS

Copper Creek has two basic types of studios–dedicated and lock-off–and a third much less common offering that has some more space.

copper creek studio tour

The entry is similar to other Studios, with the closet and kitchenette on one side, and a divided bath on the other.

copper creek studio tour

The sink area of the bath can be closed off by a sliding barn door.

copper creek studio tour

A more direct view of the sink area…

copper creek studio tour

…with storage below.

copper creek studio tour

The hair dryer is in a drawer.

copper creek studio tour

Beyond the sink in their own room are the shower and toilet. The shower has sliding doors…

copper creek studio tour

…a hand-held shower…

copper creek studio tour

…and a rainfall shower head. The shower set up is cool, and many will welcome the sliding doors as easier to handle than a billowing curtain.  But parents of small children know it’s much easier to bathe a little one in a regular tub with a shower curtain.

copper creek studio tour

Across the hall is the closet and kitchenette. One side of the closet…

copper creek studio tour

…and the other.

copper creek studio tour

The safe is in the closet. For sizing, see in it my book –6″  by 9″–and my laptop, which is 9.5″ by 13.25.” In between, just a bit larger than my book,  is a larger iPad.

The closet is smaller than in most Studios, and is the one compromise I see in Copper Creek Studios from the smaller size of the standard Wilderness Lodge rooms they were converted from. That said, as we’ll see, there’s plenty of storage in these rooms–especially since you don’t need to put your bags in the closet.

copper creek studio tour

The kitchenette comes with a coffeepot, toaster, microwave, and some utensils and such.

Some of the supplies and storage spots–

copper creek studio tour

Note above the slide-out pantry, which I’ve not seen in another DVC studio

copper creek studio tour

Also here is a mini-fridge.

copper creek studio tour

Further in the room, on one side is a queen bed and a couch that folds out into a second queenly bed (it’s as wide as a standard queen, but four inches shorter).

copper creek studio tour

This side of the room from the back.

copper creek studio tour

A closer view of the queen.

copper creek studio tour

Some of the headboard detail.

copper creek studio tour

The bed throw has a stylized railroad map of the west.

copper creek studio tour

There is room under the bed for bags, a new feature we’ve been seeing in the more recent Disney World refurbs, which lessens demand for storage space for them in the closet or elsewhere.

copper creek studio tour

This is a standard-sized rolly bag under the bed. It would have fit totally in the middle but then you couldn’t see it, could you? You could easily put six bags of this size under the bed, probably more.

copper creek studio tour

On either side of the queen is one of these bedside tables.

copper creek studio tour

The three drawers in each can be used for storage, and each has two standard and two USB outlets for charging.

copper creek studio tour

At the far end of this side of the room is the couch and and a chest that functions as a coffee table.

copper creek studio tour

In the chest you’ll find bedding for the queen-ish bed that the couch folds out into.

copper creek studio tour

Note that by opening the chest you also make a handy keyboard-height table in front of the couch. I am impressed…

copper creek studio tour

The couch folds out into a bed I measured as  60 inches wide by 76 inches long with a 4 inch cushion.  It is as wide as a queen but 4 inches shorter.

copper creek studio tour

I’ve put this bed through my detailed testing regimen (step one shown above), and can confirm that like most Disney World sofa beds you should save it for kids or lighter adults.

copper creek studio tour

At the far end of your room you’ll have either a balcony or, if you are on the first floor like we were, a patio.

copper creek studio tour

The other side of my room had a bench, dresser with TV above, and table and chairs.

copper creek studio tour

The TV side from the back.

copper creek studio tour

Note the beam separating the living space from the entry hall.

Standard studios put their connecting door where our table was, slide the TV and dresser a little towards that door, and have their table where we have the bench.

copper creek studio tour

A closer view of the table and chairs–note the fun mirror frame. The power point holds two standard plugs and two USB plugs.

copper creek studio tour

The dresser and TV. Note the size of the TV, and the variety of fun handles on the dresser.  On either side is a power point, each of which can charge four devices–two via plugs, two via USB.

copper creek studio tour

On the dresser you will find this book–at least until so many are stolen (there’s a note on the back that you will be charged $50 for the book if you take it) that Disney tires of replacing it.

copper creek studio tour

The 6 drawers have varied shapes and can easily hold the stuff needed for the four people these room will fit–and recall there’s six more smaller drawers in the bedside tables.

copper creek studio tour

Finally, my room had this bench…

copper creek studio tour

…with storage inside. Studios with a connecting door do not have this bench, and put the table and chairs here instead.

There’s little Disney theming to these rooms.  Here’s closer views of the three pieces of art you’ll find:

copper creek studio tour

However, there’s a number of nice small touches in the room–the carved headboard and mirror, the railroad map on the bed and book on the dresser, the fun shower heads, the slide-out pantry, the under-bed storage, the keyboard desk at the sofa, the quantity and size of drawers–that make these Copper Creek Studios really stand out.

I can’t say they are the best studios at Disney World–in different ways both those at the Polynesian and Grand Floridan are probably better overall.  But they are very, very well-done, and very impressive.

Any thoughts where a pack n play would go in a studio if the sleeper bed is out/in use? Especially in the version without the connecting door. Thanks again.

Hi Britt, in a Studio without a connecting door, I’d move the bench between the dresser and closet over by the balcony, and use the space freed there for the pack n play.

Studio Villa Review For Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Disney World has dozens of on-site resorts to choose from and each resort has its own special style. Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a new property that opened in July 2017 and we couldn’t wait to see what this new resort had to offer.

Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are considered a Magic Kingdom area resort.

Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Resort has a great outdoorsy vibe and looks like a huge log cabin. The immense open air lobby has intricately carved totem poles and a fireplace 82 feet (25 meters) high. This fireplace immediately made me think of Mary Coulter’s geological fireplace from our trip to the Grand Canyon . I don’t think this is by accident. Look for a case containing various rocks of the Grand Canyon located to the side of this grand fireplace.

Keep an eye open for the geyser located past the Copper Creek Springs Pool, too – it is another great nod to U.S. National Parks.

Want to kick back and enjoy the ambiance? There are many couches, chairs, and coffee tables in the lobby for you to lounge. Warning: If your kids are anything like mine they will become obsessed with the bridge in the back of the lobby. This bridge spans the start of a creek located in front of the Copper Creek Villa elevators.

Copper Creek Villas is one of two Disney Vacation Club properties located on the Disney’s Wilderness Lodge grounds (the other is Boulder Ridge). The elevators for Copper Creek Villas are accessed via the same lobby as Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. If you are staying in one of the gorgeous cabins you will do a little more walking, but it sure looks worth it!

There are two pools to choose from during your stay: Copper Creek Springs Pool or Boulder Ridge Cove Pool. The weather was unusually cool for October, so we got to enjoy the view of the pool but not actually try it out.

The Copper Creek Springs Pool is the larger pool with an additional water play fort located directly behind Wilderness Lodge. This pool is also only a short walk to Geyser Point Bar and Grill.

Find out which studio villa at Copper Creek Villas you should request and why we loved it. Discover Copper Creek Villas at Disney's Wilderness Resort and learn if it is the right resort for your family trip to Disney World. #disneyworld #disneyworldresort #coppercreekvillas

The Boulder Ridge Pool is located closer to the Boulder Ridge Villas, is a little smaller, and is billed as a having “laid back charm”.

There are several dining options at Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge ranging from fine dining to quick grab and go options.

  • Artist Point is a fine dining restaurant that serves dinner only.
  • Geyser Point Bar and Grill is located just past the Copper Creek Springs pool and brings an elevated menu to outdoor eating. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar service, too.
  • Roaring Fork is a quick service spot that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner quick service style. You can also grab pre-packaged snacks here.
  • Whispering Canyon Cafe serves all you care to eat buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a side of sass. Our server threw napkins and straws at us, so be prepared for some laughs.

Studio Villa

There are two very different layouts for Copper Creek Studio Villas. The majority of studios are one large rectangular room with a small kitchenette ( see the usual layout here ). Ours was quite different.

We were super lucky to get a unique studio at Copper Creek Villas. Our room (5115) was located on a corner of the resort and had a fantastic layout.

When you enter the room you walk past a large closet into the kitchenette and living area.

This living area has a fold-out couch and access to the balcony overlooking the pool.

There is a small walkway that then leads from the living area to the main sleeping area with a queen size bed. This bit of separation between the living/kitchenette and bedroom area was a pleasant surprise.

Find out which studio villa at Copper Creek Villas you should request and why we loved it. Discover Copper Creek Villas at Disney's Wilderness Resort and learn if it is the right resort for your family trip to Disney World. #disneyworld #disneyworldresort #coppercreekvillas

The large bathroom has distinct sink and shower/toilet areas, separated from one another by a pocket door for privacy.

This Copper Creek Villa studio room has the following features:

  • Queen-size bed
  • Queen-size fold-out couch
  • Two large dressers (one each in the living room and bedroom areas)
  • A small 2-person table with chairs
  • Kitchenette with coffee pot, toaster, mini-fridge (no freezer), sink, wine opener, 4 coffee mugs, 4 glasses, paper plates, paper bowls, and plastic utensils.
  • Large split bathroom for privacy
  • Tile and laminate flooring throughout which is great for those with allergies

I only have one complaint about our studio at Copper Creek (which is the same complaint I had when reviewing Disney’s Beach Club Resort ). Sleeping in is difficult since the window shades let in a lot of morning light.

In Room WiFi

Your stay at Copper Creek Villas includes free WiFi access. This complimentary WiFi is good enough to check email or do some social media activities but insufficient for streaming Netflix or other video. Plan ahead and save videos to your device before leaving home.

Self-parking is complimentary for resort guests while valet parking costs $33 per night at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Villas

Transportation From Copper Creek Villas To Disney Parks

Magic kingdom.

To access Magic Kingdom you will take a boat from Copper Creek at Disney’s Wilderness Resort. The boat goes directly from the dock located behind the resort to Magic Kingdom on a continuous loop.

Fort Wilderness and Campgrounds

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins and Campgrounds are different resorts and require boat transportation to access each other. Find the boat dock behind the Wilderness Lodge. This loop takes you to Fort Wilderness Resort or Disney’s Contemporary.

Everywhere Else

To access Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs or the water parks you will take a Disney shuttle bus. Find all of these bus stops in front of the resort.

Overall Impression

Our room was a wonderful surprise with its unique layout and quiet placement in the resort. There was an amazing amount of storage. The bathroom size and setup exceeded my expectations, too. Our kitchenette and 2-person table was good enough for us to have our breakfast in the room ( I pre-ordered groceries from Garden Grocer ). This saved us time, money, and hassle in the morning. If you love this room but don’t love the price tag,  find out how you may be able to stay here for less .

Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is fantastic. The perfectly executed wilderness theme and nod to U.S. National Parks made us fall in love. Our view of the lake behind the lodge was so beautiful you could forget you were at Disney World and instead imagine you were on a luxury camping trip.

Please note that the studio we stayed in is not the normal layout. Staff confirmed that the Copper Creek Villa Studio rooms ending in X115 have this room design. Our room was 5115. Information presented is correct at time of publishing and is based on Disney World Cast Member responses and our own experience.

National Park Lodge theme is a favorite of kids and adults alike

Excellent lounge for adults

Close to recreational options at Fort Wilderness

Great views from guest rooms

Exceptionally peaceful location and public areas

Large pool with cabanas

Waterfront cabins are our favorite room type in Walt Disney World

Transportation to Magic Kingdom is by bus or boat only

Bus transportation to Magic Kingdom sometimes shared with Fort Wilderness

Room furnishings feel dated

Copper Creek was beautiful and the two bedroom suite was fantastic.

August 2, 2019

The 1 bedroom villa was outdated and has a very strange floor plan.

August 7, 2015

Copper Creek rooms have less theming than those in the rest of the lodge - with another color of paint and different knickknacks, they could be rooms at Saratoga Springs or Animal Kingdom Lodge. Nonetheless, readers give these rooms an A for quality. In fact, they're so well appointed and comfortable that they highlight the need for refurbishments at the older Boulder Ridge Villas.

  • Room with Queen Bed(s) and en-suite bathroom
  • Balcony or patio
  • Dresser with drawers
  • Full-length mirror
  • Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi)
  • Flat-panel TV
  • Mini-fridge
  • Coffee maker and starter supply of coffee pods
  • Starter supply of disposable kitchenware: paper plates, bowls, and cups; plastic forks, knives, and spoons
  • Ironing board and iron
  • Digital thermostat
  • In-room safe
  • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and bar soap

All rooms have vinyl "hardwood" floors and modern furniture. Bathrooms are spacious, although sink space is limited. Storage is otherwise plentiful.

  • Room with King Bed and en-suite bathroom
  • Double-Size Sleeper Sofa
  • Four chairs
  • Full-size refrigerator
  • In-room washer and dryer
  • Full set of kitchen and cooking utensils, including flatware, pots, pans, plates and bowls.

Okay, they're expensive. But these cabins are pretty great. We especially like the screened porch, which allows you to enjoy Florida's mild nights without worrying about mosquitos. And the fit and finish of everything is very good.

  • Pull-down twin bed for children
  • Private Plunge Pool on Deck

The main bathroom showers have rainforest showerheads, and there's a television embedded in the bathroom mirror. Kids today might not think that's anything special, but adults of a certain age will still think it's awesome.

Copper Creek shares restaurants with the Wilderness Lodge. Dining choices at Wilderness Lodge are informal and tasty. Room service is available.

Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White Artist Point is home to the fixed-price "Story Book Dining at Artist Point" character meal. Characters include Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen—odd choices for a restaurant, as Snow White falls into a coma immediately after eating doctored food. (Apparently Disney’s in on the joke, though, because there’s a “Poison” Apple dessert.)

Whispering Canyon Cafe The all-you-can-eat skillets give hungry folks their money’s worth.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill The quality of the food and the view of the resort area from any given table combine to create an upscale quick-service dining experience. Best of all, guests don’t have to fuss with paper plates and trays of food in the busy dining area; ordered food is delivered to guests at their chosen tables on real dishes with nonplastic silverware (or neatly packaged in to-go containers, if so desired). This family from London thinks Geyser Point is worth a quick boat or bus ride from the Magic Kingdom: We found Geyser Point to be a brilliant place for lunch after a morning in the Magic Kingdom. Although not air-conditioned, it was still cool, very relaxing with nice views and comfortable chairs. Plus it’s quick-service, but you get waited on.

Roaring Fork Quick-service eatery for Wilderness Lodge, serving up typical breakfast fare in the morning and sandwiches (including burgers and barbecue) for lunch and dinner.

Territory Lounge Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge Resort is one of our favorite lounges in one of our favorite resorts in one of our favorite Walt Disney Worlds (whoops, got carried away there). It is well themed, often quiet, and serves good food and good drinks. Tucked into a corner of the massive Lodge lobby, the lounge can be missed easily, but we recommend seeking it out for a pleasant evening. The Wilderness Lodge is meant to resemble grand log buildings found in the United States’ national parks of the west, specifically in Yellowstone and Yosemite. Territory Lounge plays off this general theme wonderfully without being simply a copy of it. While there is a definite western pioneer spirit to the lounge, you will also see a focus on a skill that was very important to the expansion of America: Cartography, the science of mapmaking. Of immediate notice is the fantastic wooden bar, with the rear mirror being held up by two large, carved bears. If you keep looking up, a large map covers the center of the ceiling and is surrounded by beautiful exposed logs. Along the walls are many paintings and pictures, but also several shadow boxes. You should definitely take some time here to examine the boxes, as they contain treasures of America’s past. There are displays of mining tools as well as mapmaking instruments and survey equipment. For the most part, the drinks are the standards of the Disney bar menu, but there are a few things of note, mostly for the beer and wine drinkers. A few of the draught beers are local to Canada and the northwest U.S. such as Moosehead (Canada) and Widmer (Oregon). The wine list is even more special, as it is the list used in Artist Point, the signature restaurant also located in the Wilderness Lodge. Contained on that list are several great selections from the Pacific Northwest. The food at Territory Lounge is also centered on the Pacific Northwest and contains a handful of appetizers like smokey portobello mushroom soup, pulled pork nachos, and a northwest charcuterie plate. They are all high in quality and can easily be made into a meal.

Wilderness Lodge Mercantile Gift shop with a small selection of snacks, drinks, and groceries.

Miss Jenny's In-Room Dining In-room dining for Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Villas.

Refillable Mugs Allows guest self-service soft drink refills from quick-service locations in hotels ( NOT in theme parks ) for $21.99 for the length of stay.

Practical Matters

Check-in is 4:00pm Check-out is 11:00am

All Disney resorts participate in Disney’s Online Check-In program. If you’ve checked-in online and provided a mobile phone number or email address, you will receive your room number electronically. Then you can go straight to the room and use your smart phone or MagicBand to open the door, skipping the lobby altogether.

These rubber and plastic wrist bands can function as your room key, park admission, charge card, and more! MagicBands cost money, but if you'd like a free option you can use the official Disney World app on your phone or request an RFID-embedded card at the front desk.

Park tickets are best purchased online in advance either directly through Disney or via our Least Expensive Ticket Calculator . However, if you arrive without park tickets, head to the concierge desk in the hotel lobby.

Dining reservation are best made online in advance or on your phone or tablet during your visit. You can also use our Disney World Reservation Finder .

Washers and dryers are availabile in laundry facilities at each Disney World hotel. Cost is $3 per wash, and another $3 per dry cycle. A small selection of soap, fabric softener, and dryer sheets are also sold, for around $1 each. Only credit/debit cards can be used for payment. For more information, see our Disney World Laundry Facilities page.

If you lose something in a theme park or during your stay at a Disney-operated hotel, visit Disney's Lost and Found website or call (407) 824-4245.

Disney hotels have gifts shops near their lobbies with a decent collection of Disney-branded souvenirs. You will also find basic pharmacy items such as sunscreen, aspirin, allergy and cold medicine, baby diapers and formula, shampoo, and the like. Resort hotels with Deluxe Villa rooms offer an assortment of groceries, as well.

Disney recommends a third party company, Kid's Nite Out , to provide babysitting services at the resort hotels. See our Disney World Child Care page for more information.

Copper Creek is in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. All modern GPS apps, and Google Maps, will have clear driving directions to it. As a backup, look for Disney road signs directing you toward the Magic Kingdom once you're on property, and then look for signs for the Wilderness Lodge or Copper Creek once you're close to the Magic Kingdom.

Disney provides free bus service to all theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Buses run about every 20 minutes. It's almost always faster to drive your car if you have one, except to the Magic Kingdom.

If you have your own car , it's faster to drive yourself everywhere except the Magic Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom is accessible via boat service . Boats may not operate during thunderstorms.

The easiest way to get to the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts is to take the boat or bus from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, then either walk or take the resort monorail. For all other resort destinations, the fastest option is an Uber, Lyft, or taxi. Disney's bus service is free but slow, and will probably require you to use an intermediate destination like Disney Springs, to get to your destination. And that can take a couple of hours each way if you're unluckly.

if you have a car, the easiest way to get to Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and other tourist destinations is to drive. Alternatively, Mears Transportation operates shuttle services between the Disney hotels and other theme parks.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Villa studios.

Deluxe Studio, 1- or 2- Bedroom Villas, and 3-Bedroom Grand Villas are the options here. A neutral palette of creams and browns and wood flooring evokes a slightly rustic, natural look with accents of leaf and Native American motifs.

Deluxe Studios each offers one king bed, raised to accommodate luggage underneath, with carved wood headboard and explorer map bed runners. A queen sleeper sofa fronts the coffee table with additional storage inside. There is also a two-person table, oversized wall-mounted TV, and wood bureau. A single sink vanity is separate from the toilet and either a tub/shower combination or a shower. In the hallway is the kitchenette with microwave, sink, under-counter refrigerator, coffeemaker, and toaster. The closet holds a pack ‘n’ play, electronic safe, iron and board. All have either a patio or balcony. These are the same size as the standard rooms at the Lodge with 345 square feet.

One-bedroom Villas offer 761 square feet with the additional room to spread out in a separate living area holding a queen sleeper sofa, occasional chair, bureau, TV, coffee table, and balcony. A small, but full kitchen comes with a sink, stove, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Alongside the kitchen is a dining alcove with seating for 6. In the entry hallways is a closet with a stacked washer and dryer. The bedroom features a queen bed, bureau/desk, armoire, and TV, and the split bath has two areas: one with toilet, sink, and oversized shower; the other with a sink and freestanding soaking tub. Even with the additional room over the Deluxe Studio, these villas only sleep 4. Tour Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge’s One-bedroom Villa on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube channel.

Two-bedroom Villas sleep 8 with one king bed, two queen beds (or a king bed and a sleeper sofa in non-dedicated units), and one queen sleeper sofa in the living area. So really a 1-bedroom villa combined with a Deluxe Studio or a room with two queen beds and bath. 1,105 square feet.

If you are looking for the best of the best, then look no further than one of the four, 3-bedroom Grand Villas. These corner units, one on each of the first four floors, are ideal for extended family vacations. Sleeping a total of 12 people in one king-size bed, four queen-size beds, and one queen-size sleeper sofa, they come with a whopping 3,200 square feet. Talk about room to spread out!

These villas are gorgeous, and the open living, dining, kitchen plan is one that encourages family gathering time. Hardwood flooring throughout mixed with area rugs and beamed wood ceilings add to the slightly rustic yet sophisticated look. The living area comes with an oversized, cream-hued sectional sofa—part of which is a queen sleeper—two chocolate brown easy chairs, a sofa table, and an oval coffee table. A big-screen TV surrounded by loads of cabinetry and shelving space is perfect for family viewing. And here you’ll also find a lengthy but shallow balcony overlooking Geyser Point.

The massive dining table, set in an alcove, seats 12, and there’s a small stand-up balcony as well. Overlooking the fully-equipped kitchen is a large quartz island composed of cream-colored quartz that holds the sink and seating for 6. The kitchen is one that you can genuinely cook in with a large refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, and dishwasher.

On one side of the living area is a master bedroom and the first of two guest rooms, both of which share a balcony or patio overlooking Geyser Point. In the master bedroom is a king bed with a leather headboard with a Native American motif, easy chair and ottoman, desk, large bureau, TV, and a small walk-in closet. The impressive master bath is divided in two by a chocolate-colored marble wall. One area has double sinks set in a cream quartz vanity with in-mirror TV, an oversized shower with pebble flooring, and two shower heads—one of them a rain shower area —and a separate toilet room. In the other bath area are a stand-alone, bubble-jet tub and a wall of high curtained windows. Next to the master is a guest room with two queen beds, desk, bureau, and TV, and across the hall, a single sink bath with shower.

On the opposite side of the living area is a guest room with a fun Native American wood-paneled wall, two queen beds with explorer map motif runners, a bureau, TV, and desk, and a balcony or patio overlooking the courtyard pool area. Attached is a single sink bath with shower and walk-in closet. Other benefits include a stacked washer/dryer and a lovely welcome amenity.

Are you yearning for a cabin in the woods, yet are torn between that and a trip to Walt Disney World Resort? Well, how about a combo vacation, something that can easily be accomplished here at Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. These delightful accommodations are an ingenious new addition to the Walt Disney World scene with 26, two-bedroom, two-bath cabins nestled waterside and set among the pine trees on the shore of Bay Lake.

Gorgeous native landscaping surrounds each cabin sleeping eight in a king bed, queen bed, fold-out bed, queen-size sleeper sofa, and sleeper chair (wood flooring throughout). On entry are the two bedrooms across the hall from each other, each with en-suite baths.

The larger master bedroom holds a king bed with Native American motif headboard, desk/bureau, armoire, TV, and it’s own exit to the porch near the outdoor fireplace fronted with two comfy chairs. The master bath has double sinks in a cream quartz vanity, in-mirror TV, large shower, and separate oversized bubble-jet tub with a wall of marble surround.

The guest room comes with a queen bed, window alcove seating, a single bed that folds out of the cabinetry, and a TV. In the bath is a single sink bath with a pebble floor shower.

The living area’s focal point is the double-sided stone fireplace (the other side extends to the screened-in porch). Two walls of windows overlooking the water have remote shades (one for transparency and one for privacy). Surrounding the fireplace are the sleeper sofa, three easy chairs, and a long bench-style coffee table. The open kitchen has a sink, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator. Nearby is a freestanding, small granite island with seating for four, and next to it is an oversized dining table seating 8.

And best of all is the cabin’s oh-so-nostalgic screened-in, wraparound porch. Flagstone flooring, a picnic table, a double-sided fireplace, and hot tub make for a perfect setting—just envision yourself early morning watching the “world” come alive with a steaming mug of coffee in hand!

Don’t expect to see the fireworks except for a handful of cabins (I’ve heard Cabin #1 and #26 are the best!).
