Everton FC are an English professional football club based in Liverpool and who currently play in the Premier League.

Everton were founding members of the original Football League back in 1888 and quickly emerged as one of the top football clubs of their era. They have competed in the top flight of English football for a record 120 seasons, having missed only four top-flight seasons!

Everton were a founding member of the Premier League in 1992, and apart from an FA Cup final win in 1995, they have found it hard to challenge for trophies. Despite this they rank third in the all-time points rankings and can boast the second-longest continuous presence in the top division.

Also known as the Blues, or the Toffees, Everton have achieved moderate success in their history, having won nine league titles, five FA Cups, one European Cup Winners' Cup and nine Charity Shields. However, recent times have been more difficulty for the club and their most recent major trophy was the FA Cup in 1995. Their most successful manager to date is Howard Kendall, who led the Toffees to seven trophies during his first spell in charge during the 1980’s.

Everton have been playing at Goodison Park since 1892, having moved from their original home at Anfield following a disagreement over rent. As a result, Everton share a fierce but respectful rivalry with Liverpool FC, whose ground Anfield is only a mile away from Goodison Park.

Each season, the two clubs contest the lively Merseyside derby which is always an important fixture in the Premier League calendar. While both sets of fans are well behaved, the Merseyside derby has seen more red cards than any other fixture in Premier League history!

Goodison Park was the first major football stadium to be built in England and has held more top-flight football games than any other ground in the UK. It was also the first English ground to provide under-soil heating and the first to have two tiers on all sides.

Getting to Goodison Park is easy by train, with Kirkdale Station located under a mile from the stadium. Alternatively, it’s possible to go to Sandhills Station where there are bus links directly to the ground.

Everton's huge season ticket waiting list explains new stadium demand

Everton revealed the scale of their season ticket waiting list on Tuesday morning as they made a case to move into a new stadium at Bramley-Moore dock in the future

Everton revealed how many people are currently on their season ticket waiting list on Tuesday as they made their case for a move to Bramley-Moore dock.

The Blues presented at a specially-convened Liverpool City Council planning committee this week ahead of their determination on the application for a new waterfront ground.

The vote passed unanimously , meaning the plans will now be referred to the Secretary of State to decide whether they will be called in for scrutiny at a higher level of Government.

But one of the interesting aspects of the meeting came at the beginning, as Everton were presenting their case to the 11 councillors present on why they should be allowed to move to a new stadium.

Blues CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale and Stadium Director Colin Chong both spoke at detail about the finer details involved across the whole project.

And part of the latter's presentation to the committee included details on the season ticket figures that are currently in place at Goodison Park.

One slide showed that Everton currently had 31,500 season ticket members - helping the club to sell out every Premier League game possible in the last three years.

However, the graphic also demonstrated that the Blues had a waiting list of 17,000 for their season tickets.

The club used this as a clear demonstration as to why they needed to move to a new ground and expand the amount of season tickets they can offer.

Everton have proposed a 52,888-seater stadium at Bramley-Moore dock, which would give them the scope to majorly expand their offerings for a matchday experience.

New Everton stadium

Screen grab from a virtual flythrough video of Everton's proposed new stadium

In November, a wide range of supporters were sent a survey by the club regarding how they are planning to attend matches at Bramley-Moore Dock - covering everything from season tickets, food and drink offerings, the prospect of safe standing and much more.

Supporters were asked about prices for potential season ticket and hospitality packages, but none of the figures were finalised and were only included for research purposes.

The Secretary of State now has an initial 21-day period to come to their own decision on Everton's application, although this could take a little longer due to the size of the plans.

The Blues still hope to begin construction on the site in either the spring or summer of 2021.

Let’s see what’s waiting for you!

Here are 4 suggested itineraries for a 3-hour tour:.

Moscow Bike Route #1

Moscow Bike Route #2

This route is the best one if you want to see the heart of Moscow. It goes right through the major places of interest and touches upon the most exciting and vibrant areas of Moscow such as part of the Boulevard Ring, which is absolutely loved by everyone.

Cozy streets of Zamoskvorechye will never leave you indifferent. This district has a long and vivid history and is full of old baroque houses along with Stalinist buildings. It includes three theatres, three museums and sixteen churches.

Back in the 18 th century Zamoskvorechye was known as a quiet, country-like land of single-storey houses and conservative businessmen. It remained country-like and is much more filled with business than before, as this area is just right in the city centre.

You’ll learn:

  • what was previously on the site of the Novokuznetskaya metro-station;
  • names of four abandoned metro stations and how to find these stations;

Everton send midfielder Nikola Vlasic on loan to CSKA Moscow

Everton have loaned young midfielder nikola vlasic to russian giants cska moscow for the duration of the 2018-19 campaign..

The 20-year-old, a £10m signing from Hajduk Split on deadline day last summer, made 19 first-team appearances for the Toffees in his maiden campaign at Goodison Park.

Following the arrival of new boss Marco Silva , however, Vlasic was told to train away from his teammates and has now been sent out on loan.

CSKA will compete in the Champions League this season after finishing runners-up to rivals Lokomotiv Moscow last time out.

Croatia international Vlasic was not alone in being ostracised by Silva, with Kevin Mirallas and Ashley Williams also being moved on.
