I don’t know where to start with my review, I knew I wanted to write one after just a day of being in the tour khalef but I don’t think I have the words. First impressions, the grounds are absolutely stunning, so well kept and the security measures in place make you feel safe. Greeted by the most polite and attentive staff too which always helps. Our room was b506, which was sparkling clean and sufficient. While I agree that this hotel wouldn’t be considered a 5* in the uk, I feel that the staff in the resort make this hotel magical from start to finish. There is not one staff member in the resort that wasn’t kind to me and my partner. Sadly can’t remember many names as so many were so kind but do want to give a mention to Sammi at the bar, sarri and all the other boys serving the drinks too, you guys really are amazing. The food, I am a very fussy eater and all inclusive holidays do scare me a bit but there was something for me to eat everyday, lots of western choices for the fussy one in your family, although I did get a bit bored of the food choices by the end of the stay. The waiting staff in the restaurant were amazing, so attentive and one guy (annoyingly forgot his name) saw that I was suffering with a tummy ache and suggested some herbal teas that genuinely really helped. The drinks - strong! And plentiful, while there is an all inclusive menu don’t be afraid to ask the staff to make you something of their choice, many of the cocktails we sampled weren’t on the menu and they were lovely. The passion daiquiri in the inside bar was gorgeous, and sammi makes a mean mojito! A few nights at the bar the ‘big bosses’ were there and had changed the tv viewing from football but were accommodating and easily approached when I asked if we could watch the game, which is always a nice touch. The entertainment, the kids animation team is amazing, I didn’t take my little one however I kept commenting to my partner on how good with the kids the team were. You could tell they genuinely enjoy their job and the kids absolutely adored them and had so much fun with them. There were a few nights of good fun entertainment when I was there, karaoke was great, and the live music was great, there was a drag show too which would have been fun had I not been too hungover from the night before lol. The pools, the inside pool was so lovely and warm, very very salty so do mind your eyes! The outside pool, we never had an issue getting a lounger, you do have to be early if you want one of the ‘instagram’ type beds but there isn’t really the max 6am dash for sunbed thing here, 8am is generally ok. The outside pool isn’t heated though, and the weather was touchy so I didn’t actually go into the pool as it was cold lol. The section of the beach the hotel holds is absolutely beautiful, well maintained and the staff are attentive with drinks here too. The location. Okay so this isn’t the fault of the hotel, and is me being quite nit picky. Sousse isnt what I expected at all, it was a real insta vs reality moment for me, Tunisia is a developing country still and this is prevalent with how many buildings are half built and the general state of the area. There is a lot of rubbish, everywhere, I remember saying it made brighton look clean and tidy, and if you’ve ever been to Brighton you’ll understand this point. The views on the transfer were ruined by the amount of litter gathered. I will also add that when you leave the resort the safe feeling you have goes away sharpish with people hanging around asking if you would like to buy drugs, spoiler alert, don’t do this even if you are tempted, the repercussions are severe should you get caught. Housekeeping were amazing, our room was always sparkling and inviting and I loved the little touches on our beds everyday, really made a difference. We did 2 excursions during our week stay, we went quad biking which was great fun and we also went on a pirate boat. The guy who sold us the pirate boat assured us the group was an English group, but what it was when we got there was drunk 18 year old French teenagers and all of the music on the boat was tailored to that, not an issue but not really what we expected, and the only food option on board was fish salad, which for a fussy eater was not a vibe. The hotel has a spa onsite, with very reasonable prices. I paid around £35 for a full body massage which was insanely good and really put me in a good mood on my last day of my break, if you want to book a massage please go when you first get there as they book up very very quickly. My only tiny little negatives, air conditioning, there was no air conditioning during my stay, I appreciate that it was out of season, but one of my favourite parts about going on holiday is having air conditioning in my room, even in the uk I sleep with my fan on every single night as I am a hot sleeper and there wasn’t even a fan in the room and it was 22• at night still so I did find my sleep was impacted by this. I really think the pool outside should be heated too, even just slightly to make it less of a shock to the body when you get in. My fridge in my room didn’t work, which was also very annoying. And I also feel that snack bar variety needs to be increased, a sandwich making station would be perfect. Other than those little things, I had a truly magical time and felt very well looked after during my stay, and if I do return to Tunisia again I would choose this resort, the resident cats on site are super cute too. Beautiful hotel, lovely food and lovely staff. Would definitely go back. We stayed there in 2023, and this was one of the best hotels we have been to. The amount of food and its quality was incredible. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff.... very helpful, polite, and lovely.

Don’t stay here! Although the pool is lovely we had the worst holiday we’ve ever had! Arrived to not be served by anyone for 50 minutes and when asked the staff were so rude to us. I was ignored twice and one woman turned her back on me when I asked her for a check in form. We then were told we weren’t able to check into our room for another hour (3pm) so we were stuck in our clothes we had been in since 3am. Room was diabolical, dirt everywhere, coach roaches everywhere, cracked tiles, random bits of furniture chucked outside the room. No air-con, dirty mouldy kettle, broken furniture and lampshades, thick dust everywhere. The room didn’t lock properly and the maid let herself in whilst we were unpacking. We complained and were given a different room but there was still blood and dirt stains on the curtains and no air-con. We didn’t feel comfortable staying here. The food was very much the same every night so we were sick of it by the end of the week. There was no where to sit in the evening if you went down late for dinner, or if you went down early for dinner you were bored by 8pm. We weren’t allowed to go down to the beach after sunset and didn’t feel safe going out at night. The staff were attentive to others, however we felt we didn’t quite fit in with who they wanted to serve. The waiter at lunch was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us but we felt everyone else was very dismissive of us. The managers were going round getting forced reviews, as when we expressed our concerns to the manager we saw the review got deleted off his iPad. We have also seen that several bad reviews have been taken off Tripadvisor, hence why it still says it’s a 5 star hotel. It is not anywhere near 5 star, I’d say 2 star at best.

We have just arrived back and already booked to go back next year for our anniversary as we loved it that much. Nothing is too much the staff are wonderful weather wasn’t brilliant but when it was hot it was hot only fault was the pool it was too cold but they have an indoor pool so we used that and next year we’re going in May so might not be so bad.

The staff are amazing and so welcoming. Diablo and Sam part of the animation team always made us laugh and spoke to us. Mohammed the Bar waiter was very quick and efficient Mouaffek the restaurant waiter always had a smile on his face and went out his way for us. Always topping your drinks up and making us feel comfortable. The Pool Area is beautiful and always room for a bed and if not the beach always has some room. The weather has been a bit Hit and Miss but that’s what’s expected for April. I couldn’t fault this hotel- The food is really nice and always has a good selection but sometimes it’s repetitive. I would definitely come back to this hotel everything has been 10/10 from the moment we arrived to when we left. The cleaners are also very kind and say good morning with a smile on your face.
