Longtime stylist Karla Welch, who first signed on to work with Bieber on his Believe Tour in 2012, has an explanation for all the hoopla: It’s a testament to the singer’s growing style influence. “He’s been pushing men’s fashion for the last five years,” she says. “If you look at the beginning of the Believe Tour, he was getting heat for the drop-crotch pants and super long T-shirts. But now, if you go to any menswear store, you see those styles reflected.” Much like Bieber, Welch doesn’t “care about negative feedback,” she says. “Haters gonna hate.”

Despite the Nirvana controversy, Welch went back to Fear of God and worked with the designer Jerry Lorenzo on five looks for Bieber’s current Purpose Tour, which kicked off Wednesday night (March 9) in Seattle. “We have been buying [Jerry’s] stuff for the last two years; it’s been a very fun process working [together],” Welch says of the custom-made denim and tees. Interspersed will be Raf Simons pieces (“Justin has been very into Raf lately”), Adidas shoes, and some custom-made Bieber staples, like thigh-skimming T-shirts for layering. “I could see the looks changing from concert to concert with the way Justin chooses to style them,” Welch adds.

Though certain technical adjustments have been made to the tour wardrobe, including zippers, gussets and reinforcements for quick changes (he has less than one minute to change backstage), the look is not so different than what the singer sports regularly on Instagram. “It’s more street grunge with a very vintage skater feel,” Welch describes. “I was living in Vancouver during the grunge era — I used to go down to Seattle to watch Pearl Jam play — and I always loved how those stoner boys looked. That’s what we started doing with the Purpose videos and now with the tour. It’s very undone.” The show’s backup dancers, who channel a similarly relaxed aesthetic, are outfitted in apparel by Calvin Klein, with whom Bieber has an ongoing campaign deal with. 

Raised in Powell River, British Columbia, Canadian heritage has been an asset for Welch from the start. “We just met and clicked,” the stylist says of Bieber, who grew up in Stratford, Ontario. “Canadians inherently love Canadians; that’s always been a bond. Canadians are super nationalists,” she adds, chuckling.

Though Welch is normally tending to the red-carpet wardrobes of universally adored actresses like Amy Poehler and Olivia Wilde, she says there were no hesitations about taking on a more controversial pop star as a client. “If you listen to everything the press has to say, you’re losing at life,” she says, noting that now more than ever the two have a “100 percent collaborative” relationship. “Justin enjoys the process.”

Along with Raf Simons and Fear of God, the brands he currently digs include Rick Owens, Saint Laurent, the L.A. label Amiri and skate brands like Supreme and Vans. The two stay in touch about the things that are catching his eye — he might email her about a cool London T-shirt brand he just discovered and she might convince him to clean up in a sleek designer suit, like the Saint Laurent one he wore for the recent Grammy Awards. Says Welch: “His approach to fashion has evolved the way his music has evolved: The approach is more chill, but he does take super fun risks.”

Before there were three, there were two who said “I do.”

Justin and Hailey Bieber recommitted their love to each other in a wedding vow renewal ceremony in a picturesque field in Hawaii — photos and videos of which served as the couple’s pregnancy announcement Thursday.

Hailey, 27, wore a white lace Saint Laurent dress that showed off her baby bump — and a matching veil — as she and Justin held hands, faced each other and spoke in front of an apparent clergyman who read from a thick book, presumably the Bible.

Snaps and footage from the secluded affair show the duo reading letters to each other, kissing, hugging, cradling the model’s growing belly and playing around with a professional camera.

The 30-year-old pop star, for his part, kept things casual in a white T-shirt, black jeans, fuzzy bomber jacket and backward baseball cap.

Hailey is reportedly in her third trimester, meaning her and Justin’s first child could be here by late summer.

The pair began their on-off relationship in 2016, going on to get engaged in the Bahamas in July 2018 and tie the knot two months later in a New York City courthouse.

They married again the following September in a lavish South Carolina ceremony and reception with all of their loved ones.

Since then, they’ve been warding off pregnancy rumors .

Justin told Ellen DeGeneres in December 2020 that the timing of growing their family was up to his wife, who still had “things she want[ed] to accomplish as a woman” before becoming a mother.

“I think she is just not ready yet, and I think that’s OK,” he said at the time, adding in his “Justin Bieber: Our World” documentary in October 2021 that he was excited for her to “squish out a nugget.”

In February 2022, Hailey told WSJ. Magazine she wanted kids “one day” and that she and her husband would start trying “in the next couple of years.”

She reiterated that sentiment in a May 2023 interview with the Sunday Times, sharing that although she wanted a baby “so bad,” she was “scared” to take that next step.

“I literally cry about this all the time,” she admitted at the time, making sure to note that she would do her “best” to make her future children “feel loved and safe.”

Leave it to Hailey Bieber to announce her pregnancy in the most chic way.

Hailey, 27, took to Instagram on Thursday, May 9, to share that she and husband Justin Bieber renewed their vows and are expecting their first baby together . She looked as elegant as ever in a white Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello gown featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline, a fitted top, long sleeves and a floor-length lacy skirt. Hailey teamed her look with a hooded veil, black sunglasses and a gold watch.

In the carousel of photos, Justin, 30, was seen rocking a fuzzy coat, a backwards hat, a white T-shirt and black trousers. The duo renewed their vows in a grassy field in Hawaii.

Celebrity friends were quick to congratulate the couple in the comments section.

Hailey’s lacy YSL gown reminded Us of her 2019 wedding dress designed by Virgil Abloh for Off-White. (The Biebers wed in 2018 and celebrated their nuptials the following year.) Her lace gown featured long flowy sleeves, a fitted skirt and a dainty train. She completed her look with a long veil that read “Till Death Do Us Part.”

Justin, for his part looked handsome in a black and white tuxedo.

See Taylor Swift Perform ‘Fortnight,’ ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ at The Eras Tour in Paris

The Chairman is here, and she’s brought her typewriter. Taylor Swift has come straight from The Tortured Poets Department to the Paris La Defense Arena. On the opening night of the European leg of The Eras Tour in Paris, France, Swift debuted live versions of her latest double album release: The Tortured Poets Department and The Tortured Poets Department:The Anthology .

In a dramatic shift after the 1989 set, Swift reemerged onstage in a white gown straight from the “Fortnight” music video to usher in a whole new era to The Eras Tour. It’s truly tortured with seven new songs. The TTPD era opened with “But Daddy I Love Him,” before abruptly switching into “So High School” for the outro. The pop star was a full blown mad woman levitating over the stage for “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” which was followed by a mash-up of “Down Bad” and “Fortnight.” Next, Swift was surrounded by a somber marching band for “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”

The additional era was not the only change to The Era’s Tour set list. Before Swift took the stage, eagle-eyed fans noticed the addition of TTPD lyrics from the title track and “The Alchemy” in the opening mash-up intro. The eras correlating to each album were also switched around, with Red and Speak Now sets coming after the Lover and before Folklore and Evermore. Swift also cut plenty of songs from the set list, including “The Archer,” “Long Live,” “‘Tis the Damn Season,” “Tolerate It,” “The 1,” and “The Last Great American Dynasty.”

There were also some notable outfit changes from a new pink and orange sparkling bodysuit for Lover to a different T-shirt for the Red era that cryptically donned the message “This Is Not Taylor’s Version.”

Fans began speculating about how The Tortured Poets Department would be included in Swift’s upcoming tour dates since double album’s release on April 19. Theories swirled as soon as the pop star shared a video of tour rehearsals a “fortnight” before the show in Paris, which seemed to include new stage sets and choreography.

As Swift said during the Arlington, Texas stop of the The Eras Tour, “Let it be said about the  Eras Tour,  we’re tricksy. That’s what we are [and] we enjoy a good, healthy set list hijinks.”

Justin Bieber officially made Hailey Baldwin one less lonely girl when they wed on a beautiful fall day in 2018, but their relationship dates back years before—and is full of history. The celebrity power couple, who are now notorious for dressing like they're going to two totally different events , had a long road to matrimony. They met as teens (an encounter that is awkwardly caught on camera) but didn't become friends until years later, and spent those first few years of their platonic relationship dodging romance rumors. That was until they finally decided to give the girlfriend, boyfriend thing a try—only for their first attempt at love go up in flames. The second time was a charm, as they happily wed not once, but two times, shortly after rekindling their flame. Since then, they've gotten candid about all the trials, tribulations, and treats that come with married life. See ahead for how their acquaintances to friends to lovers to enemies to back to lovers storyline has evolved.

November 2009: Justin and Hailey meet at a Today show event.

Justin and Hailey had the most adorably awkward first meeting when they were just 15 and 12 years old, respectively—and lucky for us, their introduction was caught on camera. In the video, Hailey’s dad, Steve, introduces her to the smiley popstar, then rocking his signature side-swept hair. The two shake hands as Hailey shyly says, “Nice to meet you.” Little did they know this encounter would be the first of very, very many.

February 2, 2011: Justin and Hailey take a photo together at the Never Say Never premiere.

Two years passed before the pair finally reunited—and, once again, Hailey’s dad did the orchestrating. The three of them posed for a photo on the purple carpet of the New York City premiere of Justin’s documentary Never Say Never .

November 10, 2014: Justin and Hailey are spotted at church together.

It appears Justin and Hailey’s awkward first encounters served as the start of a budding friendship, as a few years later they were seen attending Hillsong Church in New York , along with mutual friend Kendall Jenner.

December 15, 2014: Justin and Hailey insist they are “just friends.”

It didn’t take long for fans to start speculating the two might have a stronger bond then they were letting on. However, Justin and Hailey each put the rumors to rest.

During an interview with E!News , the model said, “The thing about that is I’ve known him since I was so young, since I was like 13. And we’ve just been good friends over the years, and we have just stayed close, and there’s nothing more to it than that.”

The pop singer piggybacked on Hailey’s sentiment by posting a photo of the two of them to Instagram with the caption, “People are crazy. I’m super single and this is my good friend u would know otherwise.”

January 1, 2015: Justin and Hailey celebrate New Year's Eve together.

The pair took their friendship into the new year, which Justin commemorated with a video posted to Instagram. In the flick, the two chant “Happy New Year” next to each other while fireworks go off in the background.

December 2015: They go on vacation together.

Relationship rumors resurfaced with full force when Hailey joined Justin and his family on a vacation to Tulum, Mexico. The “Baby” singer documented the trip on Instagram through several posts, including one where he pulls a rubber band off Hailey’s wrist while holding his hair up. In the snap, he goes shirtless, wearing nothing but briefs and basketball shorts, while Hailey wears an oversized T-shirt, itty-bitty shorts , and a trucker hat. December 31, 2015: Justin and Hailey share an NYE smooch.

Tongues went wagging when Justin and Hailey were spotted getting hot and heavy during Leonardo DiCaprio’s New Year’s Eve party in St. Barts. The pair rang in 2016 with a smooch, and Justin wasn’t shy about sharing the news. A couple days later, he posted two hot photos from their trip to Instagram.

February 11, 2016: They set the record straight about their relationship.

Hailey confirmed to E!News that she and Justin were romantically involved, but they weren’t ready to put a label on anything yet out of fear of complicating their relationship. “We are not an exclusive couple,” she said. “He’s about to go on tour. Relationships at this age are already complicated, but I don’t really like to talk about it because it’s between me and him.”

Justin reiterated Hailey’s sentiment during an interview with GQ , when he told the publication Hailey is “someone I really love” but he doesn’t “want to be held down by anything.”

“I don’t want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility,” he continued. “I know that in the past, I’ve hurt people and said things that I didn’t mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I’m just more so looking at the future, making sure I’m not damaging them. What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged.”

August 2016: Justin and Hailey call it quits.

Justin and Hailey's relationship is short-lived, as they called it quits after just a few months together. Things get icy for the two when Justin unfollows the model amid his new relationship with Sofia Richie, which basically resulted in two years of the silent treatment.

Hailey opened up about their breakup during a 2019 interview with Vogue . "Negative things happened that we still need to talk about and work through," she told the publication. "'Fizzled' would not be the right word—it was more like a very dramatic excommunication. There was a period where if I walked into a room, he would walk out."

June 2018: They rekindle their romance.

Hailey and Justin put their differences aside and realize they're just better together. The two were spotted in Miami, first at a Church conference and later at a club , engaging in some sweet PDA. Then, things really heated up during a trip to New York when they were spotted making out all over the city.

July 7, 2018: They get engaged.

Justin pops the question during a romantic dinner in the Bahamas, as reported by TMZ . A couple days later, Justin confirms the news with a sweet Instagram tribute.

"Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY," he wrote in the caption. "I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!"

September 13, 2018: They get married.

The sweethearts officially tie the knot at a courthouse in lower Manhattan.

November 2018: Hailey changes her Instagram handle to "Bieber."

It isn't really official until it's Instagram official, right? Two months after obtaining their marriage license, Hailey makes some cosmetic changes to her social media presence by changing her username to "Hailey Rhode Baldwin Bieber."

September 30, 2019: They have a second wedding ceremony in South Carolina.

The wedding bells ring again for Hailey and Justin more than a year after they tied the knot (the first time). They celebrate their union with a fairytale wedding at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina, witnessed by more than 150 friends and family.

February 2022: Hailey shares where she stands on having kids.

Hailey tells WSJ Magazine it might be a minute before they have little Biebers running around. "I think ideally in the next couple of years we would try," she told the publication. "But there's a reason they call it try, right? You don't know how long that process is ever going to take. Definitely no kids this year; that would be a little bit hectic, I think."

March 10, 2022: Hailey has a mini-stroke.

Hailey revealed on Instagram she was hospitalized for a mini-stroke and later detailed the event in a YouTube video , describing it as "one of the scariest moments I've ever been through." June 2022: Justin is diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

The Biebers take "in sickness and in health" seriously when on the heels of Hailey's stroke, Justin is revealed he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that left half of his face paralyzed.

A source told People the news was "overwhelming" for the couple but "they're unbreakable." Hailey echoed this sentiment during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan , where she described the event as a "really out-of-nowhere, weird situation," but she and Justin are "closer than ever."

August 16, 2022: Hailey describes Justin as her "best friend."

Hailey talked about her and Justin's close bond during an interview with Harper's Bazaar . “[Justin's] still the person that I wanna be rushing back to,” she said. “I might fly somewhere and go do a job, but I can’t wait to come back and hang out. And I feel like that’s because of the effort that’s been put in on both sides. At the end of the day, like, he’s my best friend, but it still does take a lot of work to make it work.”

February 25, 2023: Justin gushes over Hailey.

A couple months later, while interviewing Hailey for Vogue Australia Justin returns Hailey's sentiment by saying, "My favorite thing about being married is honestly the companionship I feel we have. Genuinely, you are my best friend in the entire world. There’s nobody I would rather spend more time with or do anything with.”

September 13, 2023: The Biebers celebrate five years of marriage.

Justin and Hailey commemorated five years of marriage with heartwarming Instagram tributes to one another. Their milestone-marking slideshows were fittingly packed with PDA.

March 2024: Rumors of relationship troubles surface.

Rumors of relationship issues and divorce were already catching fire online when Hailey's dad, Stephen Baldwin, reposted an Instagram video of Victor Marx, founder of The All Things Possible Ministry, asking his followers to pray for Hailey and Justin.

Hailey immediately shut down speculation by posting an Instagram story on March 5 that read: "Just FYI, the stories and constant 'blind items' I see on TikTok are 100% of the time wrong. Made out of thin air… Come from the land of delusion…So I know it may be fun feeding into these stories but just know they’re always false xx sorry to spoil it."

Weeks later, a source confirmed to People that Justin and Hailey were "doing really well." They clarified the situation further by saying, “There’s no divorce and no truth to that whatsoever. They are very, very happy.”

April 2024: Justin and Hailey get cozy at Coachella.

And with one video, all the noise about Hailey and Justin having relationship troubles went poof. The couple was captured sharing sweet moments with each other during Lana Del Rey's Coachella set. Every Change Taylor Swift Made to ‘The Eras Tour’ in 2024: Song Cuts, ‘TTPD’ and More

Taylor Swift is giving her Eras Tour a fresh update as she hits the road again for the next leg.

Swift took the stage in Paris on May 9 after a two-month hiatus. During her first show of the European leg, fans were quick to notice the changes Swift made to the show from costume changes to edits to her extensive setlist. When talking to the audience, Swift teased she had a lot in store for her fans that evening.

“It makes us want to give you all sorts of surprises!” she hinted.

Since Swift last hit the road, she dropped her 11th album The Tortured Poet’s Department . Ahead of the Paris show, Swift’s French tour promoter, Arnaud Meersseman , confirmed that the singer was adding some TTPD songs to the show.

“She’s going to include new pieces from her new album,” he said in an interview with Radio France on Thursday, May 9.

A New Intro

Before Swift takes the stage for each show, she plays her famous intro that includes a mention of all her albums and eras. Swift updated the mix to include a reference to TTPD .

With new songs coming into the three-hour set, it was inevitable that fans would have to say goodbye to some tracks. “The Archer” and “Long Live” were the first ones to get the ax. Swift also cut “The 1,” “Tolerate It,” “The Last Great American Dynasty” and “Tis the Damn Season.”

To keep Swifties on their toes, Swift mixed up the order of her setlist. In the original leg after Fearless , she transitioned into Evermore . Swift moved Red into Evermore’s original spot and later combined Folklore and Evermore into one era.

“On The Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters!” she said of the two records she dropped in 2020. “You can call it Folklore , Evermore or you can call it the sister albums!”

After Red , Swift goes into her Speak Now era, which includes a new transition featuring floral images on the screen and her dancers performing a new routine before she sings “Enchanted.”

New Outfits

Swift also took a second to update her show with a brand-new wardrobe to mark the occasion. She rocked a new Lover bodysuit, Fearless dress and “Enchanted” gown. During the Red set, Swift also donned a new T-shirt that read, “This is Not Taylor’s Version.” When it was time for her Folklore era, Swift also brought out a new dreamy yellow dress.

One look remained the same: her iconic Reputation bodysuit. ( Reputation and debut are the two albums Swift has not rerecord yet, perhaps that’s why she didn’t update the look yet.)

President Vladimir Putin  has arrived for his first-ever presidential visit to Chukotka in Russia 's Far East - just 55 miles from the US state of Alaska . 

Putin arrived in Anadyr, the local capital of the Chukotka region this morning after flying from Moscow some nine time zones away. 

Chukotka is the easternmost region of Russia, with a maritime border on the Bering Strait with Alaska.

The Russian president was met in Anadyr by a motorcade and was whisked away in a limousine amid frigid temperatures of -28C. 

It's the closest he has come to US soil since he met with President  Barack Obama in New York City in 2015.

Chukotka is so close to Alaska that Roman Abramovich - the ex-Chelsea FC owner - was reported to fly to Anchorage in Alaska for lunch when he was the governor of the region from 2001 - 2008.

Putin's visit comes at a time when US-Russian relations are at their lowest ebb in decades amid the war in Ukraine and a growing East-West divide. 

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today landed in Lithuania as part of an unannounced trip to the Baltic states to drum up more support for the conflict.

The three Baltic states - all former Soviet republics which are now EU and NATO members - are among Ukraine's staunchest allies.

'Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are our reliable friends and principled partners. Today, I arrived in Vilnius before going to Tallinn and Riga,' Zelensky said on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

'Security, EU and NATO integration, cooperation on electronic warfare and drones, and further coordination of European support are all on the agenda,' he said.

The Baltic tour marks Zelensky's first official trip abroad this year.

In Lithuania, a key donor to Ukraine, Zelensky said he will hold talks with the president, prime minister and the speaker of parliament, and meet with the Ukrainian community.

The visit comes as other Kyiv allies waver on fresh aid, nearly two years into Russia's invasion.

Ukraine has come under intense Russian shelling in recent weeks, retaliating with strikes on Russia's border city of Belgorod.

Zelensky has urged allies to keep military support flowing and held in-person talks with officials from the United States, Germany and Norway last month.

But an EU aid package worth 50 billion euros ($55 billion) has been stuck in Brussels following a veto by Hungary, while the US Congress remains divided on sending additional aid to Ukraine.

Following his trip to Chukotka, Putin is expected to visit several regions in the Russian Far East to boost his re-election campaign amid the war with Ukraine, which has seen more than 300,000 Russians killed or maimed.

He is due to stand in March, seeking another six years in the Kremlin.

The only Kremlin leader ever to travel to Chukotka previously was Dmitry Medvedev in 2008.

Putin's trip sees him escape a wave of ugly protests in western Russia over hundreds of thousands of people scraping by in freezing conditions due to breakdowns in communal heating supplies.

In Elektrostal, Moscow region, desperate residents say they have had no communal heating - which Russians routinely expect the state to supply usually through piped hot water - for the entire winter so far.

'We have been without heating since [9 October],' one resident said in a video circulating on Telegram.

'It is impossible to be in our homes… We are freezing! We are freezing! We are freezing!' they said.
