Free tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead are up for grabs. Here’s how to register.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Ticketmaster may have had a marvelous time ruining everything , but the window of opportunity to see Taylor Swift perform in Kansas City isn’t closed just yet.

Capital One is hosting a Café Giveaway where four winners will each win two tickets to one of Swift’s upcoming Kansas City shows. The entry period runs from June 27-30. All it takes to enter is paying a visit to the Capital One Café on the Country Club Plaza and scanning a QR code, provided on signage throughout the Café or on employee lanyards.

The winners will be randomly selected and notified by email, after which the pairs of tickets will be sent to the four lucky fans digitally. Only one entry per person is allowed but anyone can enter-- preference is not given to Capital One customers.

In addition to the chance to win, the Capital One Café offers visitors “ample seating areas, free Wi-Fi and a variety of food and beverage options.”

Swift will be performing at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday, July 7, and Saturday, July 8. Both nights are sold out and the cheapest resale tickets currently available start above $1,000 each.

This giveaway comes as Swift continues to break attendance records at stadiums across the country. It is her first tour since the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018 and her sixth career concert tour. The outbreak of COVID-19 forced Swift to cancel her scheduled Lover Fest tour in early 2020.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour in Kansas City

Arrowhead Events, the special events arm of the Kansas City Chiefs, has announced that multi-platinum singer-songwriter and global superstar Taylor Swift will perform on the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium stage on Friday, July 7 & Saturday, July 8, 2023. Her show in Kansas City is part of a 27-show North American stadium tour leg that will eventually expand to include a second leg of international shows.

The Eras Tour marks Swift's third headlining performance at the home of the Chiefs, previously appearing at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in the summer of 2011 (Speak Now World Tour) and the summer of 2018 (Reputation Stadium Tour). She's scheduled to be joined by special guests MUNA and Gracie Abrams.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Taylor Swift will bring her 2023 "The Eras Tour" to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, July 8.

Presale registration is due by Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. CST. Those hoping to secure a ticket can register online .

Presale will begin Nov. 15 at 10 a.m., while the general sale will occur Nov. 18 at 10 a.m.

Swift announced that the tour will be a "journey through the musical eras" of her career.

Indie pop band MUNA and singer and songwriter Gracie Abrams will be opening for Swift in Kansas City.

In honor of the pop superstar's 34th birthday this past Wednesday, Dec. 13–which she celebrated in style and alongside her close friends in New York City–Prime Video decided to extend the party by offering Swifties the chance to win two free concert tickets, as well as fully paid for flight and hotel accommodations, to a live show in either Miami, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana; or Indianapolis, Indiana.

... Ready for it ? Here's how the giveaway works: fans must be 18 years or older, based in the United States, and have an Amazon account. Sound good so far? In order to test your luck, you just have to rent Taylor Swift The Eras Tour: The Extended Version  ( $19.89 ) on Prime Video between now and Dec. 31. Those who qualify will be entered into the drawing. The winner will be selected on Jan. 15, 2024.

TikTok artist replicates 21 Eras Tour stadiums where Taylor Swift has performed

SAVANNAH, Georgia — Dana Theobald sings Taylor Swift music while meticulously placing hundreds of lavender and purple rhinestones on a wooden frame engraved with “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour.”

The TikTok sensation created a model version of Singapore's National Stadium, which Swift sold out for six nights.

Lyrics from “Long Live” shine in cursive letters along the rim. One of the lines, “Remember this feeling,” is in the center. It's a sentiment Theobald reminds herself of frequently.

“I’m learning how to be present in the moment and not stress over being perfect,” the 30-year-old says. “I’m just trying to have fun. The concerts are an escape for a lot of people. For some of us, it’s one of the best nights of our lives.”

The paint and glue will take hours to dry. Theobald will set up her camera, remove the masking tape and unveil her 21st finished wooden replica of an Eras Tour stadium to the TikTok world she’s taken by storm.

“Before I was making the Eras pieces, I was making sports stadiums,” she says. Her smile shines between each sentence, and she giggles when talking about two of her passions. “I love sports, and I’m also a very big Taylor Swift fan.”

The artist grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, and went to Boston University to play basketball before transferring to Savannah College of Art and Design. She fell in love with building models, woodworking and studying interior design and architecture. During the pandemic, she invested in herself and bought a laser printer. 

“I started building wooden maps of cities,” she says. 

Her work table is replete with dents, paint splatters and polish drippings. Organized along the back wall are jars of rhinestones, cans holding paint brushes and shelves holding 100 paint bottles.

“In 2020, my best friend asked me if I could make a Kansas City stadium for her husband and I said I would try,” she says. "It kind of just took off from there.”

Although she has completed many wooden replicas of college and professional stadiums, rugby fields and soccer pitches, she brought her craft into a whole new era — by happenstance — in 2023.

“With the Eras Tour coming to Gillette Stadium this weekend, I decided to make an art piece to pay off my pricey ticket,” she posted on TikTok . The video showed her constructing a replica of the Foxborough, Massachusetts, venue to Swift’s opening number. More than 6 million have seen it.

Mission accomplished. A fan in Boston bought the piece, and yes, it paid for her seat. Theobald and her mom watched Swift in the pouring rain.

Commenters asked her to do the tour’s next stop: MetLife Stadium … and then Soldier Field … and then Ford Field .

Twenty-one stadiums later, she is determined to replicate every sold-out venue and has the process down to a science. She starts with images from Google Earth and traces rows of seats over the complex images. The drawings take a couple of days. From there, she cuts the pieces on her laser printer and stains each panel before grabbing the wood glue and constructing a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

The videos are mesmerizing, and viewers can see how incredibly patient — like insanely patient — Theobald is with her creations.

“The planning takes the most mental power,” she says. “The building part is less time consuming, although I have to wait for everything to dry.”

Each frame is painted in the era or aesthetic that the crafter thinks best represents the country or city. She customized Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City Chiefs colors and added the engraving, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” as a shoutout to Swift’s lyric change for boyfriend and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

“I like following the tour and seeing how different cultures come together and celebrate their love for Taylor Swift,” Theobald says. She only creates one piece per stop. Interested buyers can email her for prices. There are two still available: Estadio Mâs Monumental in Argentina and Soldier Field in Chicago.

Swift heads to Paris on May 9 and will perform her record-shattering tour in 23 stadiums. But the number of stadiums left doesn’t stress Theobald out. 

“I try not to get overwhelmed with how much there is because at the end of the day, this is supposed to be fun and it brings me so much joy,” she says.

10 Kansas City concerts you absolutely must see this April

This month marks the onset of the most rewarding season for music under the stars, and groove-rock band 311 is set to oblige Kansas City audiences outdoors. Waxahatchee, Kane Brown and others will entertain this April’s indoor listeners.

Epicureans insist food tastes best al fresco, and many people believe music is also best experienced outdoors. With one of the first big outdoor concerts of 2024 happening this month, it’s the perfect time to catch a show under the stars before the weather gets too warm.

The veteran groove-rock band 311 kicks off the open-air concert calendar at Grinders. And, though they didn’t make our rarified list of recommendations, entertainment in the Power & Light District goes into high gear with an appearance by local funkateers The Floozies on April 20 and with the Downtown Hoedown, featuring country star Brett Young on April 26.

Even so, the majority of the most interesting offerings will transpire indoors. Former Kansas City resident Hermon Mehari will perform chamber jazz at the 1900 Building, and the sublime folk-rock made by area resident Katie Crutchfield, better known as Waxahatchee, will resonate at Uptown Theater.

Three fiercely independent musicians — Missouri native Chappell Roan, folk insurgent Sierra Ferrell and the acclaimed Brittany Howard — all headline shows at the Truman.

Shapeshifting country star Kane Brown tops a bill at the T-Mobile Center in mid-April, and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, one of America’s most reliable party bands, returns to Knuckleheads the very next week. To round out the picture, adventurous listeners can bask in the cutting edge of pop music at separate recordBar shows by L’Rain and Mike.

Hermon Mehari and Alessandro Lanzoni: April 6

Hermon Mehari may be the most illustrious alumnus of the Bobby Watson era at the UMKC Conservatory of Music. The France-based trumpeter also hosts the weekly KCUR program The Session with Hermon Mehari .

Having been tutored by Watson in the jazz tradition, Mehari now stretches the genre’s possibilities. A 2023 concert at the Folly Theater showcased his astounding instrumental prowess and expansive musical imagination.

This month, he’ll work with Italian pianist Alessandro Lanzoni at the more intimate 1900 Building. The pair released the exquisite chamber jazz album “ Arc Fiction ” in 2021.

L’Rain: April 6

L'Rain , the New Yorker born Taja Cheek, is a notable presence in her city’s art and music scenes. The first in a series of events she curated for the Whitney Museum of American Art’s biennial celebration will transpire three weeks after her appearance at recordBar.

As a musician, L’Rain renders genre classifications irrelevant on dreamy compositions like “ Pet Rock .” She’ll be joined in Kansas City by a similarly auspicious but materially rawer act.

Armand Hammer is the duo of underground rappers Elucid and Billy Woods. “ Landlines ,” the opening track of their 2023 album, “We Buy Diabetic Test Strips,” epitomizes the cutting edge of hip-hop.

Chappell Roan: April 8

Although she was born in Willard, Missouri, in 1998, Chappell Roan doesn’t match the stereotype of a musician hailing from the edge of the Ozarks. Instead, Roan’s appearance and music are inspired by drag culture.

The title of her breakout 2023 album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” and songs like “ Femininomenon ” and “ My Kink Is Karma ” emphasize Roan’s orientation.

By updating the work of transgressive predecessors like Madonna, RuPaul, and Wham!, Roan has become an unlikely rising star.

Kane Brown: April 11

Even though he’s presented as a down-home country singer with dirt on his boots, Kane Brown is a subversive rebel. His career has been characterized by bold collaborations that obliterate musical barriers.

“ The One (Pero No Como Yo) ,” a collaboration Brown released with the regional Mexican star Carin León in March, isn’t an aberration. Brown also found success with electronic dance music hit-maker Marshmellow on “ One Thing Right ” and with the pop notable Khalid on a remix of “ Saturday Nights .”

His bold crossover moves endear Brown to his open-minded fans. The pop-country artists Tyler Hubbard and Parmalee open Brown’s concert.

Sierra Ferrell: April 17

Local folk standout Willi Carlisle suggested to KCUR last year that “a weird little revolution in folk music” was afoot, and Carlisle’s associate Sierra Ferrell is the insurgency’s de facto leader.

Far from the treasured secret of folk purists, Ferrell’s original songs like “ The Bells of Every Chapel ” make her beloved among millions of fans of crossover melodic folk-rock and commercial country music.

The like-minded Canadian Cat Clyde is Ferrell’s tourmate.

Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band: April 17

Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and its fans endured a horrifying scare last year. Breezy, the ensemble’s washboard player, was injured while attempting to stop a crime.

Her “KC” initials fortuitously represent her new hometown. The letters are emblazoned on a cap she sports on the cover of her new album, “Tigers Blood.” Kansas Citians should be proud to claim her as one of their own.

New songs like “ Right Back to It ” are instant cosmic country classics. Good Morning opens Crutchfield’s hometown show at the Uptown Theater.

311 songs including the breakout hit “ Down ” will likely be performed amid clouds of smoke at the outdoor venue. A recent Tiny Desk Concert shows members of the band remain eager to rock in spite of their graying hair.

A review in The Guardian hailed her new release, “What Now,” as “an outrageously great album that struggles candidly with love, but never puts a foot wrong musically.” June McDoom is Howard’s opening act.
