The Pro All Stars Series has announced the schedules for the 2022 season. Twenty races are on the schedule with notable events including the 17th annual trip to Hickory Motor Speedway to kick start the season for national points with twin EASTER BUNNY 150s, as well as another trip to the Magic Mile in April for the 2nd annual NORTHEAST CLASSIC. The stars and their cars will also compete in two events at Thompson for the ICEBREAKER and WORLD SERIES. New to the schedule FOR 2022, PASS will be returning to Stafford Motor Speedway for the SPRING SIZZLER. This will be the Pro All Stars Series first trip to Stafford since 2012 when the late, great Teddy Christopher picked up the victory. Also returning to the schedule for 2022 is Spud Speedway in Caribou, Maine. A trip up to the county is special for many drivers including Ben Rowe, DJ Shaw and Derek Griffith who all have victories there just south of the Canadian border. The famed OXFORD 250 once again holds its spot on the last weekend in August. Cassius Clark will look to defend his title in the 49th annual running of the event. The PASS MODS schedule has also been released. The 13-race schedule is similar to last year with the great additions of Monadnock Speedway and Spud Speedway with two more races to be announced. With defending champion Max Cookson moving up to the Super Late Model ranks, the young guns Garrett Lamb, Brandon Varney, and Ajay Cates look to hunt their first championship in the rapidly growing division, while wily veteran Shawn Knight looks for Cookson's old car to take him to victory lanes across New England.

2023 PASS SLM & Mod Schedules Announced

Officials at Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have announced a diverse and well-spaced 18-race schedule highlighted by the 50th Annual Oxford 250 at the end of August. The 2023 tour will visit nine different tracks in six different states before it crowns its champions at the season-ending PASS 400 Weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway in Mid-October. “One thing we wanted to do this year was to try and provide a little extra time between some races where teams would have a chance to reset and better prepare,” Said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “We really tried to keep an eye on the travel as we made the schedule. We are very happy with a streamlined 2023.” The season kicks off March 17th and 18th at the famed Hickory Motor Speedway with a pair of 150-lap tilts. The St. Patrick’s Day 150 on Friday will serve as the starter for the National Points Series, followed by the annual Easter Bunny 150 on Saturday. More than 30 cars are expected for the mid-March Twin Bill at the historic 3/8 mile oval in North Carolina. PASS then returns north two weeks later to begin the regular season with its only visit to the 5/8 mile Thompson Speedway as a part of The Icebreaker weekend on April 1, before shooting up to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the 3rd annual Northeast Classic on the 14th and 15th. April 23rd is the opener for the tor’s hub track Oxford Plains Speedway (OPS) as PASS makes the first of six visits to the tricky oval on Rte. 26 in Oxford. From there the tour will take a week off before an early season trip on May 6th to Thunder Road for one of a half dozen partner shows with the American Canadian Tour. The month of May winds down with a visit to the high-banked 1/4 mile White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) in scenic North Woodstock, New Hampshire. The tour returns to OPS on June 4th for its second Maine appearance before a Mid-Season break to prepare for a busy July. Spud Speedway in Caribou, ME will be run on July 2nd before OPS on July 9th and the 2nd trip to WMMP on July 14th. Rounding out the month of July, PASS makes its annual trip to the cement palace, Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Massachusetts on Wednesday, July 29th. The annual 250 tune-up at OPS will take place on August 6th before a three-week hiatus for teams and officials to prepare for the biggest crown jewel of them all, The 50th Annual Oxford 250 on August 27th. Lee USA Speedway makes its return to the PASS tour after a year off and will kick off September on the 10th. The season will hit the home stretch with a third visit to WMMP on Sept. 16th and then a second visit to Thunder Road as a part of the Milk Bowl Weekend on Saturday the 30th. The season will conclude back at Oxford Plains Speedway with the resurrection of the PASS 400 Weekend which will crown the series champions on October 14th and 15th.

Teams Ready to Capitalize, Regroup at Oxford for the Pine Tree State 125

Barre, VT — After starting off the season at the largest speedway in New England, the American-Canadian Tour is ready to roll into the State of Maine for the Pine Tree State 125 at Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, April 28. After having to cancel this weekend’s opening events due to continued water build-up in the parking areas along Route 26, next weekend’s doubleheader with the Oxford Championship Series on Saturday will serve as the 75th season opener for Oxford Plains Speedway.

Oxford Plains Speedway has long claimed the spot as the Maine home of the American-Canadian Tour starting way back in 1980. That first event was the Pine Tree Open 100, a combination event of the ACT Tour, then called the Molson Tour, and the famous Oxford Open Series that saw a list of Northeast icons join that inaugural Tour event at the 3/8-mile oval. Next Sunday’s Pine Tree State 125 will serve as the 89th American-Canadian Tour event at Oxford, and couldn’t come at a better time.

Returning as a beginning-of-the-season event after several seasons as an early-July showcase, the Pine Tree State 125 has attracted not only the full-time runners of the Tour, but a strong list of traveling teams looking to join the show. Southern New England is sending up a strong contingent before the gates of New London-Waterford Speedbowl and Seekonk Speedway have opened for the season. Joshua Hedges is making the trip from New Bedford, Massachusetts while Rhode Island sends along Jacob ‘Rowdy’ Burns and Robert Pelland III will pilot the Ryan Vanasse machine.

La belle province of Quebec sends down expected Serie ACT Quebec front runners Louis-Philippe Lauzier of St-Pacôme and Michael Lavoie from Chicoutimi while Maine-based runners Dave MacDonald and Colby Meserve will also attend. Meserve will be shaking down his machine for a run at the Star Speedway track championship in Epping, New Hampshire this season. The Green Mountain State of Vermont sends Mike Foster and Brooks Clark across Route 2 for the Pine Tree State 125 as well.

After making it a three-peat in the Northeast Classic, Derek Gluchacki leads the American-Canadian Tour championship standings rolling into Oxford, another track the rising star from Dartmouth, Massachusetts has found great success and strength at in recent seasons. Windham, Maine’s Brandon Barker also had a marquee day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and looks to continue a strong start, as does Quebec’s Alexendre Tardif who, like Gluchacki, has also had strong runs on the Oxford oval.

Following a rough-and-tumble start to the year, defending champion D.J. Shaw, Gabe Brown, Erick Sands and Jonathan Bouvrette, along with rookies Kasey Beattie, Kaiden Fisher and Jeremy Sorel, will need to make up some ground at Oxford before rolling into Thunder Road the following week.

The American-Canadian Tour returns to the Great State of Maine for the Pine Tree State 125 at Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, April 28. The spectacular Sunday showcase will also feature the PASS Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds and the Little Webb’s 350 Supermodified Series with a 1:30pm Post Time.

pass tour north schedule

(Press Release from American-Canadian Tour)

pass tour north schedule

The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have finalized the 2022 oval track schedule for Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The sanctioning bodies will again put on six events for the 83 rd season of racing at the historic 5/8-mile oval.

The season begins the first weekend of April with the annual Icebreaker. Friday, April 1 is an open practice day for Icebreaker divisions. Saturday, April 2 is Icebreaker Day 1 headlined by a 75-lap National Championship feature for the PASS Super Late Models. The Outlaw Open Modified Series returns Sunday, April 3 for the $10,000-to-win Icebreaker 125 as part of Icebreaker Day 2.

All five of Thompson Speedway’s local divisions — the Sunoco Modifieds, Late Models, Limited Sportsmen, SK Light Modifieds, and Mini Stocks — are also part of the Icebreaker. Additional divisions and the full schedule of events for each day will be announced at a later date.

The local divisions will also be part of each Wednesday night “Summer Series” event. The summer racing series begins Wednesday, June 15 at 6:00pm with the Nutmeg State 75 for the Outlaw Open Modified Series, which will pay a minimum of $5,000 to win. The same line-up is on tap for the Midsummer 75 on Wednesday, July 13.

As previously announced, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) makes its return to Thompson Speedway on Wednesday, August 17 at 6:00pm for the Thompson 150. It’s the first NASCAR Modified visit to Thompson since the 2020 World Series. The Outlaw Open Modifieds will get that night off. They return for the Tripoint Showdown 75 on Wednesday, September 14 to wrap up the Summer Series.

The season concludes with the 60 th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing from Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 9. A 75-lap showdown for the Modified Racing Series and Round 1 of the Sunoco Modified Triple Crown Series headline the Friday card. Saturday features the World Series 150 for the Whelen Modified Tour, twin 75-lap features for the ACT Late Model Tour and PASS Super Late Models, and the second round of the Sunoco Modified Triple Crown.

Sunday, October 9 is the $20,000-to-win Sunoco Thompson 300 for the Outlaw Open Modifieds along with the Sunoco Modified Triple Crown finale. Drivers and teams who attempt to qualify for all Outlaw Open Modified Series events will be eligible for potential provisional starting positions at the Thompson 300.

The rest of the local divisions are crowning their 2022 champions throughout the World Series weekend. Other World Series divisions and touring series will be added during the season.

Officials are finalizing the 2022 local division rules and hope to release them soon along with the Icebreaker entry forms. Please check www.acttour.com/thompson-speedway and www.thompsonspeedway.com for further updates.

A big thank-you ACT & PASS for keeping Thompson alive! No SK mods on Wednesdays, understandable with the weak car counts for this year’s events. Maybe twin SK races for the Icebreaker? Glad the SKL’s will be at all the races.

Fast Eddie, Sunoco Modifieds (SK Modifieds) are part of every event scheduled for 2022 at Thompson.

What, no Thanksgiving Day spirit this year? It’s taken a year but I’m claiming BS on Shawn Courchesne’s claim that asparagus his his favorite Thanksgiving side dish. Come on man. Tell you what if you had my stuffing you wouldn’t be saying asparagus. Corn bread, onion, celery, dried cranberry’s, walnuts, turkey sausage, apples, mangos and whatever other thing I can think to put in it. Might not have been a complete return to normalcy but all in all it was a normalish 2021 season and pretty great at that on every front. Color me thankful for that. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks, Shawn, that’s what I get for looking at stuff too quickly! I didn’t see SK’s on the schedule at the bottom, but then again why would I? They’re Sunoco mods at Thompson! Apologies to all!

Doug, Here’s to the spirit: What’s Your Favorite Pie On Thanksgiving?
