Why Stintino is famous for?

The main reason that drives many tourists to visit Stintino is undoubtedly its most famous beach: La Pelosa .

This beach is considered one of the most beautiful in Sardinia and Italy . The color of its waters is comparable to that of a swimming pool, while the sand is white and soft.

La Pelosa beach is visited by an increasing number of people every year, and for this reason, restrictive measures are being adopted to preserve its beauty.

From 2019, entrance is only allowed to a limited number of people by a ticket-fee. Reservation as long as some specific equipments are required to access it. More info: https://www.lapelosastintino.com

Stintino & La Pelosa beach

Stintino is probably one of the best place you will see in sardinia.

Stintino (isthintinu in Sardinian) is a small village in north-west coast of Sardinia. Founded in 1885, was inhabited by fishing families coming from island of  Asinara , now has about 1600 inhabitants.

A 50 Km from Alghero , the center of the country – despite the tourist explosion – has remained calm and peaceful with the typical life of the villages. The main church, cobbled paths and traditional low houses. In the main street shops, bars, restaurants, trattorias where to taste fresh local products.

The beaches of Stintino , are wonderful: white beaches overlooking an incredible clear and transparent water, and surrounded by Mediterranean scrub. The most important and popular is the Pelosa beach , turquoise water is always calm and clear. This beach is located in front of the island of Asinara .

A little further are the Saline , fine sand and blue sea, and if you proceed a little further, you will meet Ezzi Mannu , a beach formed by pebbles and surrounded by dunes covered with vegetation. If you’re looking for a place less crowded you can get to the Tamarisk (Tamerici) Beach , a natural environment in the countryside.

isola_asinara

Natural Parks in Stintino area not to be missed are Capo Falcone , in the end of the peninsula where you can enjoy a breathtaking view; the island of  Asinara after 115 years of total closure today is home of the nature park and the pond of Pilo (Stagno di Pilo) in the inner part where there are not only plant and animal species at risk of extinction (like the pink flamingo and bugloss Sardinian )

Stintino is a small and ancient fishing village, located in the extreme north-west of Sardinia, overlooking the enchanting Mediterranean Gulf, marked by its white and sandy beaches and turquoise-blue sea which remain shallow for a long way out, in particular the beach of ‘Le Pelosa’ popular amongst tourist and Italians alike, a small piece of Paradise. From ‘Le Pelosa’ immediately facing a second smaller beach called La Pelosetta which is the island within walking distance housing the famous ‘Aragonese tower’ (adorning many a postcard), built in 1578 and translated to mean ‘Tower of the Hairy’, and the Isola Piana, as the main island, an 18 metre high Spanish tower, built in the sixteenth century and restored in 1931.

Other popular beaches not far from Stintino on the east coast are those of Le Saline, Il Gabbiano, L’Ancora, Ezzi Mannu, Pazzona e Punta Negra. The Western coast on the other hand having beautiful cliffs with amazing views of the coast, some rocky coves the likes of ‘Coscia di Donna’ and ‘Cala del Vapore’. The village of Stintino is surrounded by Mediterranean scrub. Stintino is regarded as a kind of paradise for its natural beauty, all part of its charm and reason for its popularity as a mini-tourist destination, with restaurants with delicious typical Sardinian dishes, cafes, bars and a convenient shuttle service available every half an hour, stopping at all the beautiful beaches nearby in the area. Stintino also has the likes of wind surf schools in the area to partake in water sports.

Travel Guide to Sardinia

Sardinia travel guide

Known primarily for its gorgeous beaches and azure waters, Sardinia is the second largest island in Italy and in the Mediterranean.

However, there’s more to Sardinia than the beaches (not that it wouldn’t be enough, beautiful as they are): a magnificent rugged interior with important archeological sites belonging to the ancient Nuragic civilization; up-and-coming cities like Cagliari or smaller towns where to immerse yourself into Sardinia’s simple life; a delicious regional cuisine, from malloreddu pasta to spaghetti with sea urcins, from Fiore Sardo cheese to pane carasau .

Sardinia: The Beaches

There is plenty of choice when it comes to a seaside vacation in Sardinia. The fishing village of Stintino , on Sardinia’s northwestern coast, is a famous resort offering plenty of fun activities, from hiking to scuba diving, from cycling to horseback riding. La Pelosa is Stintino’s most famous beach, standing in front of a 16th-century Aragonese structure, one of the oldest sighting towers in Sardinia. Stintino is located in front of the Natural Park of Asinara Island , home to the Albino donkey and to a variety of habitats, with quite a unique story having been a quarantine location, a prison camp during World War I, and one of the most important Italian high security prisons in the 1970s.

sea travel stintino

Another popular spot in the north of the island is the Maddalena Archipelago , seven larger islands and approximately 50 islets, set amid turquoise waters, some of the clearest and cleanest in Italy. To protect the fragile environment, the archipelago has been designated a national park. La Maddalena is 20 minutes by ferry from the port of Palau.

Not far is the glitzy Costa Smeralda (Emeral Coast), which has in Porto Cervo its “capital”, a town created and developed in the 1950s and ‘60s by Prince Karim Aga Khan, mesmerized by the blue-green waters of the island’s north-eastern coast. The area soon became a jet-set hideaway, the most luxurious and inaccessible of the Mediterranean. Beyond all the glitz and glamour, the Costa Smeralda is incredibly beautiful, so take time to explore the area, including Palau, Capo d’Orso, and Santa Teresa di Gallura.

Other beaches not to miss include Cala Domestica (south-western coast), Cala Goloritze’ and Cala Mariolu in the Gulf of Orosei (eastern coast), Cala Coticcio on the island of Caprera , famous for having been Giuseppe Garibaldi’s home for 26 years.

Sardinia: Art & Archeology

sea travel stintino

Unique prehistoric monuments still survive in Sardinia: the “Tombs of the Giants”, the name given by local people and archaeologists to megalithic graves built during the Bronze Age by the Nuragic civilization, found throughout Sardinia; the “Domus de Janas” (house of the witches), pre-Nuragic chamber tombs dating to the early Bronze age; the “ nuraghi ”, 8,000 ancient megalithic buildings found nowhere else in the world, they are towers-fortresses shaped like truncated cones.

Below are some of the top sites where you can admire them.

Lu Coddu Vecchiu , close to Arzachena, in the north-eastern part of Sardinia. Due to the massive size of some of the stones used, legends developed saying that giants were buried in these tombs. In reality, little is known about the ceremonies and rituals that occurred there.

Tharros , in the province of Oristano, on the western coast of Sardinia. Tharros is the site of a Punic-Roman town founded in the 8 th century BC by the Phoenicians on the site of a Bronze Age settlement. The ruins are located on the peninsula of Capo San Marco on the Gulf of Oristano. You can see the remains of the temples, Roman baths, the Castellum Aquae, a Phoenician-Punic tophet, an open-air sacred place, and a neighborhood where artisans worked.

Su Nuraxi , a nuragic archaeological site in Barumini, included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997 as Su Nuraxi di Barumini. Su Nuraxi is the island’s most visited nuraghe. This settlement consisting of 17 th -century BC nuraghi, is considered by archeologists the most impressive representation of the Nuragic civilization. The 1500 BC central tower is possibly the main highlight, but the entire site is extremely fascinating.

Sardinia: The Cities

Cagliari was under the rule of many different civilizations, having been settled for 5,000 years. Its Sardinian name, Casteddu, translates as “castle”. Perhaps the best place where to begin an exploration of this ancient city is right in the narrow lanes of the medieval neighborhood of Castello, with its imposing medieval towers, the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the Royal Palace and its Bastions overlooking the sea. Large terraces facing the bay offer great views of the city.

Must-see seaside locations close to Cagliari include Santa Margherita di Pula, Chia, Geremeas, Solanas, Villasimius and Costa Rei .

Alghero is one of Sardinia’s most beautiful medieval cities, besides being the main resort on Sardinia’s northwestern coast. Cobbled lanes, Gothic palaces, and small squares can be found in the well-preserved historic center, which end at the marina where yachts are parked. Part of the population of Alghero descends from Catalan conquerors of the end of the Middle Ages, when Sardinia was part of the Kingdom of Aragon. Thus, Catalan is the official language together with Italian and street signs and menus are often written in both languages.

Nearby are many beaches to explore on the beautiful, 90-km Riviera del Corallo , so called because of the numerous red coral formations in the sea, which are used to make elegant jewelry. Do not miss Neptune’s Grotto, and the beaches of Le Bombarde, Porto Ferro and Porticciolo.

And the food? Yes, that is worth discovering too. We will write about it in our Foodie Guide to Sardinia , to be published next week.

The 10 best beaches in Sardinia

T he beaches in Sardinia are among the finest in the world, and with over 1,000 kilometres of coastline, there’s no shortage of spectacular places to pitch up, whether surrounded by archaeological ruins, looming granite cliffs or the local macchia – and of course all are lapped by impossibly limpid turquoise sea. Here are 10 of the best, but you can also take a boat out and find your very own private cove.

For further inspiration, see our guide to Sardinia and the island's best hotels , restaurants , nightlife and things to do .

Find a beach by area

Poetto beach.

A short bus ride from the city centre, Cagliari's main beach faces the Gulf of the Angels and stretches from Sella del Diavolo up to the coastline of Quartu Sant'Elena. With almost eight kilometres of white sand, the beach is served by dozens of traditional wooden kiosks, ‘baretti’, where food and drink is served day and night, plus diving centres and surf schools. The promenade teems with bladers, buggies and bikers, but the 16th-century watchtower is a reminder that the sea wasn’t always such a friendly proposition.

Spiaggia Poltu Di Li Cogghj

Spiaggia Poltu Di Li Cogghj is also known as Principe Beach, after Prince Aga Khan, who considered it to be the most beautiful in the Costa Smeralda. It’s not easy to reach, involving a 10-minute walk down a rough path (don’t wear flip-flops), but it’s well worth the effort: a fine sand beach surrounded by granite rocks and Mediterranean macchia faces crystal clear blue sea. There are no bars or restaurants here, so bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.

Cala Spalmatore

Off the northeast coast of Sardinia lies the spectacular La Maddalena archipelago, made up of seven islands, with a total of over 300 impeccably clean beaches, thanks to the fact that the entire area is protected as part of the Parco Nazionale dell’Arcipelago. Once here, the choices are many. After a wander around the elegant port, head off to accessible Cala Spalmatore or Spiaggia Bassa Trinità, or jump on another boat to visit Budelli, famous for its Spiaggia Rosa. 'Pink Beach' owes its name to the crushed coral and shells that are inhabited by tiny pink microorganisms. The sand today is less pink than it once was, as so many people decided to take some away with them, so these days it’s not possible to disembark, but boats still drop anchor off the coast so that you can swim against the unrivaled backdrop.

San Giovanni

Visible well before you arrive, thanks to its 12th-century hilltop Castello della Fava (Bean Castle), the medieval village of Posada is a delightful maze of little streets and cafés. But it’s biggest claim to fame is its beaches: San Giovanni and nearby Su Tiriarzu, Iscraios, Due Pini and Orvile have all received the prestigious Cinque Vele Legambiente in recognition of the protected status of the surrounding flora and fauna. You can also travel down the Rio Posada river in a canoe to admire the population of pink flamingos.

South of Olbia are some of Sardinia’s most famous mountains, and the Gennargentu massif makes an incredible backdrop to the bay of Cala Luna. It’s possible to make a two-hour hike along trails to this secluded little beach, but most take a boat from the nearby ports of Cala Gonone, Santa Maria Navarrese, and Arbatax. There are plenty of caves to explore if you tire of the turquoise sea, and a further 40-minute scenic trek brings you to the famous Grotta del Bue Marino. The wild charm of the bay was the setting for Italian cult movie 'Swept Away' by Lina Wertmuller.

Cala Mariolu

On the central eastern coast lies one of Sardinia’s jewels, Cala Mariolu. It takes its name from the monk seal that would steal (mariolu means 'thief') the day’s catch from the local fishermen. Surrounded by cliffs that rise to a height of 500 metres, the beach is only accessible by a fairly challenging trek through Mediterranean scrub, so those without time (or experience) prefer to take a boat to enjoy the sandy beach, speckled with pink and white pebbles, surrounded by clear blue waters. It’s an exceptional location for snorkelling and diving.

Cala Goloritzé

Cala Goloritzé is another exquisite beach renowned for its crystal clear waters, and it can be reached by a less challenging trail through Holm wood forest. Boats leave from Cala Gonone, but it’s also possible to hire a gommone (inflatable) with an outboard motor. The backdrop of Monte Caroddi is spectacular, and popular with free climbers, but most choose to admire the 100-metre high pyramid-shaped rock from the white pebble beach, hoping to catch a glimpse of the rare Eleanora falcon that has made its home here.

On the central western coast, an hour’s drive north of Cagliari, lies the medieval city of Oristano, and the nearby Sinis Peninsula, which stretches over 26,000 hectares.  The marine-protected site has everything: flat white beaches, pine woods, salt pans, lagoons that are first-rate for snorkelling, fossil-laden cliffs for exploring and, thanks to a northwesterly mistral wind, it’s also ideal for kitesurfing and windsurfing all year round. There are even opportunities for whale-watching, and a chance to visit the nearby Phoenician ruins of Tharros .

An hour from Alghero, the town of Stintino is a delight in itself, located between the two picturesque harbours of Porto Mannu and Porto Minori. But just beyond the town, via a series of wooden walkways, you’ll find one of Sardinia’s most enticing beaches, La Pelosa. With white sands lapped by turquoise sea, it’s a well-frequented destination, so continue on to the wild and unspoilt Capo Falcone at the end of the peninsula. The beach is overlooked by a Spanish watchtower and has views across to the island of Asinara. Stintino’s Museo della Tonnara tells the story of the town’s tuna-fishing industry, and there are plenty of restaurants serving the fish.

Porto Pollo

A 10-minute drive north of Palau you’ll reach the top wind- and kite-surfing destination in the north, Porto Pollo (Chicken Harbour – nope, no idea either). Thanks to its length and location, there’s always somewhere where the surfing is good, and the addition of a few surfing schools means it attracts a younger crowd keen to learn how to catch a wave – check out the number of camper vans in the car park. But there are also more sheltered coves, and plenty of visitors locate a secluded bit of beach, surrounded by dunes and Sardinian macchia, to swim and laze, and later gaze at the sunset. At some point, most find their way to one of the beach shacks ( Rupi’s is a fave) for refuelling and music.

Travel + Leisure included one New Jersey spot in its roundup of best U.S. beaches. But, not the Shore.

Why the vibrant boardwalks of Wildwood and the quaint charm of Cape May make Jersey Shore the ultimate beach destination overlooked by Travel and Leisure.

The beach is a sea of umbrellas in Ocean City Monday, July 3, 2023, packed with people as the four-day Independence Day holiday weekend continues going into the Fourth of July at the Jersey Shore.

When Travel + Leisure rolled out their latest roundup of the best beaches in the U.S ., we were appalled to see the Jersey Shore notably absent from the list.

(Asbury Park is cool and all, but calling it a representative of the entire Jersey Shore is like saying a cheesesteak from anywhere but Philly is authentic. It just doesn’t cut it.)

Where’s the love for Wildwood , Sea Isle, Ocean City , and the quaint charm of Cape May? It seems like their map of the East Coast must’ve gotten lost in an oversized beach bag.

Sure, our sand may not be the whitest, and our waters not the clearest like the others listed , but the Jersey Shore offers something a pristine brochure can’t capture.

How could Travel + Leisure overlook Wildwood with its iconic boardwalk, not one but three piers of amusement rides, and neon that would make Vegas look dim? And then there’s Ocean City — hello, it’s called “America’s Greatest Family Resort” for a reason.

We can’t forget Sea Isle City, where the vibes are as chill as the sea breeze. And let’s chat about our very own Jason Kelce , Philadelphia’s center of gravity on and off the field. When he’s not blocking for the Eagles, he’s been known to sling drinks and charm at the bars in Sea Isle. If Kelce’s endorsement and impromptu bartending aren’t enough to boost the Shore’s credentials, what is?

And Cape May, oh, dear Cape May, with Victorian charm that turns the beach into a time-travel experience unlike any other, complemented by some of the best bird-watching on the East Coast.

Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore have a love affair that’s as deep as the ocean and as sweet as boardwalk fudge. For many Philadelphians, the Shore isn’t just a summer destination; it’s a tradition, woven into the very fabric of their lives.

Missing out on Wildwood’s iconic piers and Sea Isle’s charm feels almost like leaving Rocky out of a Philly legends list. What’s missing on Travel + Leisure ’s list is the authentic Jersey Shore experience: the boardwalk games, the saltwater taffy, the tram cars, and the generations of families who pile into their cars for the ritualistic summer pilgrimage. It’s more than just sun and sand; it’s about beach tags, sunscreen-scented air, outdoor showers, and the inevitable sandy ride home.

So next time, before Travel + Leisure sends out their beach scouts, they should make sure they don’t just dip their toes in the water at Asbury Park and call it a day because the real Jersey Shore is a mosaic of experiences. And hey, if they need a guide, just ask Jason Kelce — he’ll be happy to pour a drink and set the record straight.

Parramatta Eels suffer second half collapse to Manly, as Maika Sivo sent to sin-bin for 'stupid' forearm

Sport Parramatta Eels suffer second half collapse to Manly, as Maika Sivo sent to sin-bin for 'stupid' forearm

A ref holding his hands in the air, sending a payer to the sin-bin, who looks upset

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has called Maika Sivo's forearm to the head of Manly's Reuben Garrick "dumb" as the Eels collapse for the second time in seven days.

The Eels gave up a half-time lead to lose 32-18, having two players sent to the sin-bin in the final 23 minutes.

Maikia Sivo, who scored a hat-trick at Brookvale Oval on Friday night, encapsulated the Eels capitulation when he was sin-binned for hitting Manly's Reuben Garrick with a forearm to the head.

Parramatta trailed by two points, despite scoring four tries to three at that stage, when Sivo hit a defenceless Garrick on the ground after the Eels winger had made a tackle.

Poetically, Garrick scored twice in the next five minutes for Manly, where Sivo should have been defending.

"One of the most egregious things I have ever seen," former Manly player John Gibbs told ABC Sport in relation to Sivo's forearm.

Eels captain Clint Gutherson and coach Brad Arthur were clearly frustrated by the second half collapse when they fronted their post-match press conference.

Arthur called Sivo's forearm "dumb" while Gutherson lamented the action, especially after Parramatta had just returned to 13 men following Will Penisini's return from a previous sin-bin.

"Just stupid. We were right in the game, 10 minutes left, we just got Will back on," Gutherson said.

"Just silly things at the moment which are hurting us. Just missed tackles, penalties against us. Can't do that in NRL games, doesn't matter who you're versing."

The Eels held a 14-6 lead at half-time, scoring three tries in the opening 40 minutes.

Manly's Haumole Olakau'atu was put on report and sent to the sin-bin, the first of three made by referee Gerard Sutton, for a lifting tackle on Parramatta's Shaun Lane in the fifth minute.

NRL ref holds his hands in the air, sending a player to the sin bin

Sivo had two tries in the first half, becoming the first opposition player to score a double in three consecutive matches at Brookvale Oval.

Tries to Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans in the opening 10 minutes of the second half gave Manly their first lead of the night.

Will Penisini was sin-binned in the 57th minute for tackling Trbojevic without the ball, denying what could have been a try-scoring opportunity.

But Sivo's third try, while Parramatta was down to 12 men, breathed new life into the Eels who trailed 20-18 with 13 minutes to play.

Sivo's forearm to Garrick then ended the Eels charge as they fell away in the final 10 minutes.

While the attention rested with Sivo post-game, the Eels had already given up their half-time lead.

Their second half was littered with errors and penalties, while Gutherson and Dylan Brown combined to successfully kick just one of five shots for goal.

"We're just having lapses in concentration," Parramatta's J'maine Hopgood told ABC Sport.

"It's one play in one set, it's having a ripple effect and it's killing us at the moment."

Parramatta has the bye next week, while Manly stays at home for a Friday night clash with the Canberra Raiders.

Catch up with the action from Friday's match with our blog.

That is all from us tonight

What an evening of NRL.

This game was fabulous for the neutral.

A close contest, plenty of drama and A LOT of talking points coming out of it.

We will be back tomorrow for two more matches this Anzac Round in the NRL.

Daly Cherry-Evans makes a profound point on Anzac Round

We are giving the final word from Brookvale to Daly Cherry-Evans, who told this to ABC Sport.

"It’s a real privilege to play in Anzac week and to represent the Anzacs. "We don’t take that lightly and that part we definitely draw on, but there are very little similarities between war and sport, so we certainly don’t try and compare ourselves to anything war-related. "But we certainly do try and tap into the spirit that they showed as Anzacs."

J'maine Hopgood tells ABC Sport concentration is hurting the Eels

Parramatta forward   J'maine Hopgood has spoken with John Gibbs.

A clearly disappointed Hopgood told ABC Sport that the Eels' good work is being undone too regularly.

"We're just having lapses in concentration. It's one play in one set, it's having a ripple effect and it's killing us at the moment."

What do you say to Sivo?

Brad Arthur has been asked what he will say to Maika Sivo following the loss — and the sin-bin.

Arthur has a measured response for a coach who looks frustrated.

"There's no point in saying too much tonight on emotion, we'll just let it settle" he says.

"He doesn't need me to tell how silly it was.

"Because we put him back in the team, and he showed why we put him back in the team, because he scored a couple of tries that probably no-one in our squad can score."

Coach and captain are not happy with Maika Sivo

Brad Arthur was asked about Sivo's sin-bin.

"It's dumb, isn't it? It's 20-18, we're up four tries to three," he said.

Captain Clint Gutherson was not impressed either, especially since the Eels had just got Will   Penisini back on the field from his sin-bin.

"Just stupid. We were right in the game, 10 minutes left, we just got Will back on," he said.

Brad Arthur and Clint Gutherson are holding their post game press conference

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has said his team, like last week, need to play well for the whole 80 minutes.

"We've got to decide if it's full-time, everytime, with that effort," he said.

"If we keep doing that we'll fight our way out of it.

"I thought in the second half we probably beat ourselves."

Plenty of reaction after Sivo's sin-bin

Andrew Moore has seen more games of footy than the average fan.

"Maika Sivo who I love as a football player does some really dumb things. If I'm Brad Arthur, I'm nearly dropping him again."

Daly Cherry-Evans speaking with ABC Sport

Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans has joined John Gibbs for ABC Sport.

"Definitely a weird game, but we'll take it," he said.

"We're certainly not playing the most clinical footy at the moment.

"We are there abouts, but we have some work to do."

FT: Manly overrun the Eels to win 32-18

Parramatta impoded again.

They were on top for a lot of that contest, but it all folded late.

As we said before the game, Manly find ways to win.

They found another way tonight.

78' NO TRY: Manly denied try by the Bunker

Manly thought they had a try, but Turbo was offside from a grubber kick.

It was a scrappy play, and among a few grubber kicks, Turbo was offside.

78' TRY: Manly are in again

75' try: garrick again scores where sivo should be.

Manly are going to win.

They are targeting Parramatta's left-edge, where Maika SIvo no longer is.

Daly Cherry-Evans throws a cut-out ball, picked up by Garrick, Parra's defence is at sixes-and-sevens and, and Garrick scores.

71' TRY: Manly scores through Reuben Garrick

It's almost poetic.

Reuben Garrick has scored where Maika Sivo should have been defending.

Eels' coach Brad Arthur must be fuming.

70' SIN BIN: Maika Sivo has been marched for a forearm to the head

Maika Sivo has been sent to the bin.

He tackles   Reuben Garrick. Fine tackle.

But then slams a forearm into his head — and he goes for it again.

He won't come back until 20 seconds to go.

"Blatantly dumb and blatantly deliberate," says caller Andrew Moore for ABC Sport.

"One of the most egregious things I have ever seen," says John Gibbs.

68': Gutherson sacks himself as goal kicker?

Gutherson has missed all conversions, so Dylan Brown takes this shot from the touchline.

Brown cannot kick the goal either.

Parramatta have scored 4 tries to 3 — but they trail by 2 points.

67' TRY: Sivo has three tries and Parramatta hit back

Maika Sivo has a hat-trick.

Oh no. We have gone to the Bunker.

Wait … the Bunker is going to uphold the try.

There was a high kick, followed by a collision between an Eels and a Sea Eagle (the Bunker clears the contact) Parra get the ball, flung it to the other side of the field.

Sivo scores!

63': A contentious call from the Bunker give Parramatta the ball

Jason Saab has been called for a knock-on from the Bunker, after the ball appeared to be knocked out by Parramatta's Maika Sivo.

The ref says Sivo knocked on, but the Eels challenge the play.

The Bunker thinks Sivo either hit Saab's hand or Saab knocked-on first.

Either way, premiership-winner Luke Lewis is not convinced.

"I don't know what a knock-on is anymore," Lewis tells ABC Sport.

59': Manly make it 20-14 with a penalty goal

After the sin bin,   Reuben Garrick kicks a penalty goal for Manly.
