Android users can download two official games based on the Star Trek series from the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, everything else is on an emulator. Unfortunately, Star Trek hasn’t seen the success of mobile games like its other, space opera counterpart.

Price: Free to play

Star Trek Fleet Command is one of the more competent titles for Star Trek fans. It’s an MMO strategy game. Players explore new worlds, trade goods, join alliances, and do battle against the bad guys. The game has plenty of Star Trek cameos along with various factions to join decent graphics and tons of stuff to upgrade. It’s one of the few native Star Trek games and it gets frequent updates.

Star Trek Timelines is, by far, the best Star Trek game out there. Developed by Disruptor Beam, the strategy RPG lets you pick your own starship crew from hundreds of characters available from the six Star Trek TV series, each with their own special skills and abilities. You can then use that crew to explore the galaxy in your own ship, again based on the many starships shown in those series. You can also engage in starship combat, either with AI controlled enemies or online with other players.

Price: Free

There are a ton of decent Star Trek titles on PC. In fact, that’s the main platform for most video games from the series. Steam Link lets you play such games on mobile. It’s a bit difficult to set up for those who aren’t super tech savvy. However, once it’s set up, you can play PC Star Trek games from Steam on your mobile phone with a controller. Since the selection is much better on PC than it is on mobile, we consider this a legitimate method to get your Star Trek fix on your phone. The app is free, but the costs of Star Trek games vary on Steam itself.

Emulators are another good source of Star Trek games. You can play classic games like Star Trek: The Next Generation, a 1994 release for the Super Nintendo console, a bunch of old titles for the Commodore 64, and there are some other options. Much like mobile, there aren’t a ton of console games as the series mainly leans on PC for its main platform. Still, between Steam Link, a couple of good emulators, and the above options, you can play almost every Star Trek game in existence on your mobile phone. This Star Trek: Fleet Command guide for beginners will give you all the help you need in order to better understand the game and what you should be doing and spending your time on. 

Star Trek station basics guide

This is your headquarters, your base, and everything starts from here.

By upgrading the different structures of your Station, not only you will earn various bonuses and increase your resource production, but also gain access to new features. A few of these buildings are:

Ships - class and rarity

There wouldn't be Star Trek without spaceships, so it makes sense that they are one of the most important aspects of the game. There are 4 main ship categories:

Explorer ships are strong against Interceptors while they are at a disadvantage when they are facing Battleships. They rely on high-energy shields for their defense, and they have very accurate weapons.

Battleships are equipped with very thick hulls, giving them lots of armor points. Their weapons can pierce through shields. For those reasons, they are strong going up against Explorers, but they have a harder time against Interceptors. 

Superfast ships, armed with a high-impact weapon that can pierce any armor. They rely heavily on their dodge ability to survive. That makes these types of vessels have a hard time fighting Explorers but ideal to go against Battleships. 

Surveys are support ships, not meant for battle. They can hold a lot of cargo, making them ideal for mining operations.  

Ships are not only divided by their category/class but also their rarity. These are the four types:

Star Trek Officer basics

Ships are great and all, but without the right crew they are kind of useless. By developing 'Officers' on a ship, you can improve the ship stats (Health, Attack, Defense).

Officers have abilities, stats, and traits. Their ability activates only when they are the Captain of the ship, middle position. They are also divided by class, group, and faction.

Similar to ships, officers also come in different rarities. Based on their rarity, they have a fixed number of 'traits': Traits are very effective when it comes to 'Away Team Assignments'.

There are different fields in which you can conduct research. Completing a task will reward you with a permanent bonus.

• Galaxy

Tip #1 - join a strong alliance, tip #2 - do not spend resources on low rarity officers and ships, tip #3 - daily missions, tip #4 - follow the main questline and try to complete as many side quests as you can from the various systems across the galaxy, tip #5 - save your recruit tickets for events.

Starting today, August, 10th 2021, we are slowly rolling out this feature to all devices. This means you could get it today if you’re lucky, or you may have to wait up to a few weeks.  

Once you get the update v1.000.17470, go to the in-game Settings and click “ General ”,

Scroll down to the ScopelyID Sign In option and click “ Sign In “.

Add your email address and password, then hit “ Register ”

Once confirmed, you’ll be able to see that your account has been linked correctly!

Backup your Account

Once registered and logged in with your email, you can easily reinstall the game on another/new device. Since your progress has been saved, you can jump right into the action where you left off. Switching between multiple devices has never been easier! Into the Scopely-verse Login and play other Scopely Games (like WWE Champions) with your new Scopely ID.

Star Trek Fleet Command is a strategy and resource management game set in the Star Trek universe, specifically in the alternate 'Kelvin' timeline shown in the new movie trilogy, produced by J.J. Abrams.

The game uses all the typical strategy MMO resources based on time management. In other words, you'll have to construct buildings for your starbase and fight against other players scattered around the galaxy. You'll have to join either the Federation, Klingons, or Romulans and take part in the battle for control of the sector of the galaxy.

In addition, the game includes a collectible character system where you'll see familiar faces like Kirk, Spock, and Scotty, in their movie forms. In order to unlock them, you'll have to gather resources by completing missions and improving your buildings and space fleet.

Star Trek Fleet Command is a real treat for Star Trek fans. Although we may miss the original characters and situations, it's still enticing to be able to immerse yourself in the most iconic space opera of all time ( sorry , George Lucas).

What’s It About?

Players complete missions and earn resources they can use to help upgrade their space station and get and build ships in STAR TREK FLEET COMMAND. As they recruit crew members, which include popular characters from the TV and movie series such as Sulu and Spock, they'll battle enemies as part of a larger storyline involving a war between three groups -- the Federation, Klingons, and Romulans. Kids will also join an alliance, which allows them to receive and provide help, working with and against other players in real-time.

Is It Any Good?

Featuring characters from the most recent film series, this game should keep players busy with different tasks, as long as you're not looking for a faster paced experience. While players have to wait out a clock before performing some actions in Star Trek Fleet Command, the countdowns are reasonably short, and there are typically other things to do in the meantime -- such as attacking a hostile ship while some generator construction finishes. You can also use in-game currency to speed things up.

The app doesn't require players to spend a ton of real-world money to keep playing, unless they find the wait times too frustrating. Even if they do spring for a package of items, the cost is relatively low compared to some apps -- generally around $5. The ongoing narrative and clear initial instructions also set the app apart from others with a similar structure. That said, there's a lot going on at any given time. Other players' ships move around, and a variety of screens display information, such as your officer upgrade and ship construction status, which can feel a bit overwhelming at times. The graphics also aren't overly impressive -- small-scale ships move somewhat slowly through space, and the main motion gamers make involves pressing buttons to initiate tasks. Battles would be more thrilling if the action differed significantly in each one, or if it could be viewed up close. Instead, players see a small ship shooting lines at another ship until it explodes. The option to help other players sends a nice message, and you'll get to utilize some positive skills, such as time management and multitasking. Hardcore Star Trek fans may enjoy being able to add popular characters to their roster and face off against Klingons and other familiar enemies, but gamers looking for a highly interactive, fast-paced experience might not feel Star Trek Fleet Command is out of this world.

Queued Attacks – The Kir’shara Artifact

Having trouble keeping up with the pressure of Wave Defense? Or maybe you just want to be able to target more than one ship at a time during your dailies? Once you have the new Kir’shara Artifact in your possession, you can select a series of targets to destroy with logical precision. Doing so is as simple as selecting a hostile to attack, and then selecting another hostile while your ship is traveling to engage the first. You will be able to queue up a series of attacks for each ship under your control, with the limit determined by your Kir’shara Artifact level.

If a hostile in your queue is destroyed by someone else before you get to it, it will be removed from your queue and you will continue to the next target. To cancel your attack queue, simply order your ship to move without attacking.

Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon – Forbidden Tech

The Gorn Hunters are powerful enemies, and to pierce their defenses will take an even more powerful weapon. With the new Forbidden Tech Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon , the hunter becomes the prey.

Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon provides the following bonuses:

• Increases Isolytic Cascade vs Gorn Hunter Hostiles (8%-50%)
• Increases base Hull Health (unlocked at Tier 3, 100%-2500%)
• Increases Isolytic Defense vs Hostiles (unlocked at Tier 6, 10%-80%)
• Increases base Damage vs Hostiles (unlocked at Tier 8, 150%-2500%)

In addition to the powerful benefit of Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon itself, owning it will also provide you with a daily claim of Isolytic Artifact Tickets in the Forbidden Tech refinery! The amount of the claim is linked to the tier of Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon , and the reward table is as follows:

It costs 4228 tickets to do a single chest pull of Isolytic Artifacts, so with a well developed Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon you may find yourself experiencing a significant improvement in the isolytic capabilities of your fleet before long!

Borg Cube Transwarp Drive – Refit

The Borg Cube has been a favorite of Commanders everywhere, and with this new refit you can use it to travel great distances. Once the Transwarp Drive refit has been unlocked, the Borg Cube will be able to instantly move through the galaxy to arrive at its destination. Doing so will cost Transwarp Manifolds, which will be available as a daily claim under Ship Resources in Gifts.

All of these new abilities will be available this month in the store, and we look forward to seeing the tables turned on the challenging new enemies!
