Tim McGraw takes ‘Standing Room Only’ tour to Gainbridge Fieldhouse

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Three-time Grammy Award-winning superstar Tim McGraw will bring his “Standing Room Only” tour to Gainbridge Fieldhouse Thursday night.

“I always want to deliver the best possible concert I can for the fans,” McGraw said.

Kicking off in March, McGraw’s latest tour will take him to arenas in over 30 cities, including Indianapolis. Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Carly Pearce will join every date of the tour as direct support.

Boasting a massive production, his greatest hits, and tracks from his highly anticipated 17th studio album, also titled “Standing Room Only,” this tour guarantees an abundance of excitement and cherished memories.

“We’ve got some really special plans to make this the biggest and the best tour we’ve ever done,” McGraw said.

McGraw’s album, released in August of 2023, peaked in the top 20 of the U.S. Top Country Albums. The lead single and title track extended his chart success marking his 92nd career chart entry. The single was a top 20 hit on the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart, peaking at No. 60 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Throughout his career, McGraw boasts an impressive 68 Top 10 hits, along with the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Mediabase charts, totaling 73 weeks. Additionally, he holds the esteemed title of the second-most No. 1 album in the U.S., trailing only behind the legendary George Strait.

Featuring a huge production, his biggest hits and songs from his forthcoming 17th studio album Standing Room Only , the tour promises the most fun and memories of a lifetime.

On Aug. 25, McGraw will release his new album Standing Room Only via Big Machine Records and McGraw Music. The album’s title track, “ Standing Room Only ,” is currently top 15 at Country Radio and climbing the charts. It also marks McGraw’s 92nd career chart entry. An acoustic version of the song was released on July 14.

On Standing Room Only , fans can expect an album full of McGraw’s enduring Country sound, distinguished vocals and meaningful songs – as evidenced on previously released tracks “ Hey Whiskey ,” and, most recently, “ Remember Me Well ,” which was released on July 21. Standing Room Only marks McGraw’s first new record since 2020’s Here On Earth , which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart.

Throughout his career, McGraw has amassed 68 Top 10s and holds the Mediabase record for the most weeks at No. 1 with all titles, totaling 73 weeks, and holds the record for second-most No. 1 albums in the U.S. just behind George Strait.

Tim McGraw is gearing up for a big 2024, announcing an extensive North American tour that will launch next spring.

The Standing Room Only tour — in support of his upcoming album of the same name — will kick off March 14 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The run will continue all the way through April and May, wrapping June 27 at Footprint Center in Phoenix. Singer-songwriter Carly Pearce will provide support through the tour.

Tim McGraw Reveals Dates for 'Standing Room Only' Tour with Special Guest Carly Pearce

After playing an intimate show on Monday night at Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, Tim McGraw is hitting the road on a larger scale.

On Friday, the "Something Like That" musician announced his headlining 'Standing Room Only' Tour, which is set to launch in 2024.

“I always want to deliver the best possible concert I can for the fans,” said McGraw, 56, in a statement. “We’ve got some really special plans to make this the biggest and the best tour we’ve ever done.”

A press release said the country singer's new tour "promises more unparalleled, high energy live shows" from the country singer, adding that it will feature "a huge production, his biggest hits, and songs from his forthcoming studio album  Standing Room Only."                                                                                                                                        The tour, produced by Live Nation, will hit arenas across more than 30 cities including Nashville, Chicago and Philadelphia. It's set to kick off on March 14, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida and run through June 27 where he'll perform in Phoenix, Arizona.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter  Carly Pearce  will join the run as direct support for McGraw throughout all of the dates. The "Remember Me Well" singer announced the upcoming release of  Standing Room Only  last month, calling the collection "some of the most emotional, thought-provoking and life-affirming music I've ever recorded."

"As an artist, I always want to dip deeper and get better every time I make a new record — it's a big part of what drives me, and I really believe this is one of the best projects we've made," he continued in a statement .

McGraw's new project will feature his "enduring country sound, distinguished vocals and meaningful songs," according to a press release. Standing Room Only  is McGraw's first new record since 2020’s  Here On Earth , which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart.

Planet Fitness, home of the Judgement Free Zone, will join the tour as the sponsor of the McGraw Mobile Gym. Timothy Wayne Signs with UMG Nashville Ahead of Stint on Uncle Tim McGraw’s Standing Room Only Tour

Timothy Wayne is a country singer who was raised in Franklin, Tennessee, and is currently attending college at Louisiana State University. Earlier today, he announced that he’s inked his first deal with Universal Music Group, Nashville, and plans to release new music soon. This summer, he’ll introduce himself to thousands of fans when he accompanies his uncle, country superstar Tim McGraw on his Standing Room Only Tour. He’ll also appear at CMA Fest later this year.

Wayne announced the big news on social media earlier today. “I am excited to share I’ve signed my very first record deal with UMG Nashville,” he wrote in the post. “Thank y’all so much for the support. Stay tuned, new music may be coming sooner than you think,” he added.

His post also included a short video that shows him meeting the staff of his new label, taking a tour, snapping PR photos, and more. In the clip, he announces, “Hey y’all it’s Timothy Wayne here at UMG Nashville to sign my first record deal. I’m super excited.”

In a statement, he said, “I’m so excited to have this opportunity to make and record music with UMG Nashville. This has been a dream of mine, and I am working hard on music that I can’t wait to share with everyone.”

Tim McGraw Reveals His Connection to Timothy Wayne

Wayne doesn’t mention his relationship with McGraw on his social media account. He didn’t even mention it when he announced that he’ll be on the Standing Room Only tour this summer. McGraw, however, let the cat out of the bag on his Instagram about a week ago.

McGraw posted a photo of Wayne in a vocal booth. In the caption, he wrote, “Working in the studio with my nephew Timothy Wayne.”

Country Star Tim McGraw Paid Cool Tribute to Caitlin Clark During Concert in Indianapolis

Caitlin Clark is Indiana's newest star after the Fever selected the Iowa guard with the first overall pick in the WNBA draft on Monday night. Country music star Tim McGraw, who is currently on tour for his 16th studio album, Standing Room Only , has clearly been paying attention to the news in sports, as he found a cool way to both pay tribute to Clark and further endear himself to his fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

In addition to his usual choice of hat and a pair of jeans, McGraw donned a No. 22 Clark Fever jersey on stage during the concert. (He had previously worn a Clark Iowa jersey in Des Moines in March.)

McGraw turned and showed fans the back of the jersey as the sold-out crowd roared its approval. The Fever later sent a tribute right back to McGraw in their reaction to the video, captioning lyrics from one of McGraw's hit songs I Like it, I Love It in a post onto X, formerly Twitter.

Tim McGraw sports another Caitlin Clark jersey. This time it's an Indiana Fever one.

In March, during Tim McGraw’s headline show at Wells Fargo Arena, the country music star wore a black-and-gold No. 22 jersey, giving a shout-out to the hometown hero, Caitlin Clark.

During his latest Standing Room Only Tour stop at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Thursday, McGraw sported a new jersey. A No. 22 Indiana Fever jersey, days after the Fever selected Clark as the first overall pick in the WNBA draft .

These two instances are not the only times McGraw has shown support for Clark. Back in March, he posted on X (Twitter) supporting Clark, after she became the all-time NCAA Scoring leader, “Congrats to Caitlin!!! What a fantastic accomplishment…I have to say, as a #girldad, I admit I shed a tear or 2 watching! Fantastic!”

McGraw is one of the many celebrities who is a fan of the star basketball player. She's attracted praise from celebrities like rapper Travis Scott, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, who placed Iowa as winning the NCAA Tournament championship in his March Madness bracket , and actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis. Clark recently received a  personalized AFC Richmond Jersey from the “Ted Lasso” star.
