Busan to Launch 'Visit Busan Pass’ for Foreigners in a Trial Operation

A ‘Visit Busan’ Pass for foreign nationals will be released on February 1, 2023 on a trial basis for 6 months, providing major discounts at tourism facilities and public transportation in Busan.

Within a set amount of time, the pass gives free access to 30 paid facilities in Busan, such as the Busan X the Sky observatory, the Haeundae Blueline park beach train, Lotte World Adventure, Skyline Luge, the city tour bus and more. It also provides discounts at 77 stores and can be used as a rechargeable transportation card.

The pass has two types - 24-hour pass and 48-hour pass, costing 49,000 won and 69,000 respectively.

The ‘Visit Busan Pass’ can be purchased at the following designated locations - Busan pass promotional space at Busan Station (2nd floor), 6 tourist information centers (Gimhae Airport domestic/international terminal, Busan Port and more), 10 hotels in Busan and more.

To provide added convenience to foreign tourists, they can purchase the pass at online travel agencies (KKday, KLook, Trip.com and more) or visit the Busan pass official website ( www.visitbusanpass.com ) then pick up the card at the offline locations of purchase when arriving in Busan.

The city plans to officially launch the Busan Visit Pass in August after reflecting on the results of the trial operation service.

For more detailed information, please visit the Visit Busan Pass official website at www.visitbusanpass.com . The website is available in different languages (English, Japanese and Chinese). The Visit Busan Pass mobile application will be launched in February 2023.

Isa ang Busan sa aking dream tourist destination if ever man mabigyan ng pagkakataon na makapasyal sa South Korea and information from this blog is really helpful. Hey! 👋🏽 If you’re visiting Busan soon, save this post to maximise your trip!

With the recently launched Visit Busan Pass, you can now enjoy free admission to over 30 major Busan attractions , including Lotte World Adventure! Special discounts and free transportation are also included in the pass. Oh, one more thing. The pass itself can be used as a T-Money card around South Korea!

Buy your pass from the official site or Klook ,and collect it at the different redemption locations available. I collected mine at Busan Station.

Not convinced to get it yet?

I spent only 69,000 KRW to visit 6 attractions. I saved myself 73,000 KRW! I believe you can save even more if you squeeze in more attractions during your visit.

Let’s get to how I maximised my 48-Hour Visit Busan Pass ⬇️

BUSAN X the SKY

🔭 See what Busan’s like 100 floors above. Located along Haeundae Beach, Busan X The Sky is an observatory located on the 98th, 99th and 100th floors of Haeundae LCT The Sharp. Make sure to visit Starbucks on the 99th floor, it’s probably the tallest Starbucks outlet in the world! ☕️

Haeunde Blueline Park - Mipo Station

+ Seaside Train 🚉🛤️

From Busan X The Sky, take a 5-10 mins walk to

Haeundae Blueline Park’s Mipo Station. Do note that the popular Sky Capsule is not included in the pass, only the Seaside Beach Train (two-way) is. Don’t fret though as the beach train was good too! Queue early for better views of the sea.

I stopped at Daritol Skywalk station to visit the Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk . After which, I walked to Songjeong Station. (I could have taken the train again but the waiting time was too long. And I also wanted to do more sightseeing.)

Songjeong Station is the nearest station to Skyline Luge Busan and Lotte World Adventure Busan. It’s also home to many nice cafes, like Cafe Moon and Coralani . Visit those cafes before heading towards the amusement parks.

Skyline Luge Busan

From Coralani cafe, I took a 10-min cab ride to Skyline Luge Busan. The pass allows you to take the skyride and luge twice! Keep your eyes open when taking the skyride as you might be able to see Lotte World 👀

Lotte World Adventure Busan

Good news, this amusement park is also minutes away from Skyline Luge Busan! The rides here are very different from the ones in Seoul. I definitely like this park better and there were lesser crowds here too. Make sure to try the Giant Digger ride! 🥶🎢

Running Man Busan

Running Man fans! You can finally try the games for yourself at the Running Man Thematic Experience Center. With the time limit of an hour, complete as many stations as you can and try your best to earn lots of points! I went for the Normal zone and only scored 44/100 lol 🤡👍🏽

Laser Arena 레이저아레나 삼정타워

Laser Arena is in the same building as the Running Man experience! Can’t remember correctly but it was only a few floors down. The pass allows you to play 2 rounds. The first round I played was an individual match, and the second round was a team match. The staff randomly teamed us up and I got to play with locals! It was so much fun 👍🏽 Expect crowds though, we waited for an hour before we got to play.

How to use the pass:

Just go to the ticketing counter of the attractions and show the staff your passes. They’ll issue you the tickets physically! No need to book or whatsoever.
