‘Antiques Roadshow’ Has Announced Its Five-City 2024 Production Tour — Do You Have the Series’ Next Big Find?

PBS’ long-running and Emmy-nominated hit series Antiques Roadshow , which is currently in its 28th season, has announced its upcoming five-city 2024 production tour to film Season 29, which is slated to premiere sometime in 2025.

The popular program travels the country in search of hidden treasures, appraising everything from family heirlooms to flea market finds that people bring to them — with sometimes surprising results in terms of what an old object may be worth.

In one well-remembered example from a 2004 episode, a 1914 Patek Philippe pocket watch discovered in St. Paul, Minnesota, was appraised at $250,000, which was incredible enough. It turned out that watch was even more unique and valuable than first suspected when it went to auction two years later:

Might you have one of these objects lying around without knowing it that you can show an appraiser at one of the 2024 events?

Even if you don’t have something worth millions, having the chance to possibly learn the history behind, say, that old book you found in your attic, or that painting you got from your grandmother, would have plenty of value in terms of history, nostalgia and sentiment alone (though the money would also be nice, not gonna lie).

The Roadshow release added that the distinctive and historic local venues where each event will take place will be announced closer to the beginning of the tour.

At each appraisal event, guests will receive free verbal evaluations of their antiques, art and collectibles by experts from the country’s leading auction houses and independent dealers. Each ticketed guest is invited to bring *two* items for appraisal.

From each of these 2024 events, three episodes of Antiques Roadshow per city will be created for inclusion in the series’ upcoming 29th season.

Per the release, admission to Antiques Roadshow is free, but tickets are required and will not be available at the door. Tickets must be obtained in advance, and there are limited numbers.

Fans can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win one pair of free tickets per household.

‘Antiques Roadshow’ Season 29 Announces 5 City Tour

Applications for free tickets to the upcoming 29th season of PBS’ Antiques Roadshow are now open through March 18, 2024. Season 29 of the Emmy-nominated series will be filmed in five cities across the US, kicking off on May 1st in Las Vegas. Three episodes will be shot at each location:

• Wednesday, May 1 — Las Vegas, NV
• Tuesday, May 14 — Bentonville, AR
• Wednesday, May 29 – Littleton, CO
• Monday, June 10 — Urbandale, IA
• Tuesday, June 18 — Baltimore, MD

Antiques Roadshow Visits Iowa

Part adventure, part history lesson and part treasure hunt, PBS’s most-watched ongoing series  Antiques Roadshow  heads in 2024 to capture tales of family heirlooms, flea market finds, and items saved from attics and basements. The pop-culture phenomenon series will film for season 29 in five cities including a stop in Urbandale at Living History Farms on Monday, June 10! From each of the 2024 events, three episodes of  Roadshow  per city will be created for inclusion in the 21-time Emmy® Award-nominated production’s 29th broadcast season, to air on PBS in 2025.

How to Get Tickets

Would you like guaranteed admission to the event? Donate $500 per ticket to support Iowa PBS and attend the  Antiques Roadshow  appraisal event at Living History Farms in June.  

Tickets are now available to purchase and will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis from our  online donation portal  or by calling 800.779.7000.    

Tickets are limited and must be paid for in total at the time of your donation. There will be no installment payment options.  And, your donation must be a new donation, not a current sustaining gift.  

These tickets are general admission tickets for the  Antiques Roadshow  appraisal event so you can arrive any time between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on June 10. Each ticket holder will only be admitted once, must wait in the regular lines, and may bring two items for appraisal.

All guests must have a ticket to attend the  Antiques Roadshow  taping on June 10, 2024. Tickets will not be available at the door. 

Antiques Roadshow   held a sweepstakes  to give away free tickets to the appraisal event, which closed for entries on March 19, 2024. Winners were drawn at random in early April among those who entered and have been notified by  Roadshow  if they won tickets.

Attend the Private Reception

For those who would like the full  Antiques Roadshow  experience,  donate an extra $250  for a pair (2) of tickets and attend a private reception the night before at the beautiful  Country Lane Lodge  near Adel. You’ll hear from the program’s producers, mingle with some of the appraisers and enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres. 

You can make this part of your Monday appraisal event or attend only the reception. Tickets to the reception do not include the Monday appraisal event at Living History Farms.

All tickets are electronic, and your ticket will arrive ahead of the June 10 event via email. This is a unique and rare experience so tickets will go fast.

Russia Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945

In May 9th Russia celebrate the day of victory of Soviet troops over Nazi Germany. On this day, parades, commemorative events, and festive fireworks are held solemnly throughout the country. The main military parade of the country takes place in Moscow on Red Square. Throughout the city, at special concert venues, art groups perform, songs of the war years are heard everywhere. People dance, relax. Many older people cry, remembering the horror of years gone by.

Night of museums

Museum Night is an annual project that will take place in Moscow 15 times. Most of the city’s cultural institutions traditionally take part in it. Most of the city’s museums and exhibitions are free to visit. In parks, country estates, thematic performances and entertainment cultural events are held. About 200 museums, exhibition halls and art spaces take part in the festival. Many sites prepare special projects on the topic for visitors.

Christmas Festival

This is the most favourite festival of Muscovites and guests of the city. Interesting events take place at 80 venues throughout the city. Numerous ice rinks, food zones, hockey courts, slides, a children’s snowboard park are open. Every day, in special chalets around the city, puppet shows and fairy tales are read. Concerts and master classes await visitors, where you can try yourself in Gzhel painting, clay modelling, decoupage. You can make jewellery, toys and gifts to loved ones, as well as send a letter to Santa Claus. On Red Square, everyone is interested in not only skating on the rink themselves, but also enjoying the colourful ice show from the famous Russian skaters.

Festival “Moscow Maslenitsa”

One of the brightest, longest events in Russia, dedicated to the seeing off of winter and the meeting of spring. Everyone will be able to learn how to cook pancakes, attend a lot of creative and craft workshops. Take part in traditional Shrovetide fun. Build a huge stuffed animal from straw and burn it, ride on crusts, take part in a masquerade parade. At numerous venues it will be possible to see street performances and performances by the best vocal ensembles and folk artists.

New Year on Red Square

The festive concert begins at 20.00. Then everyone lights the New Year tree together. At midnight, guests will be surprised by festive fireworks. Tickets are on sale in advance at the expected symbolic price of 2,025 rubles.

International exhibition NEFTEGAZ-2022

The solemn ceremony of the changing of the guard at the walls of the Moscow Kremlin

The ceremony is held every on the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin. This is a colourful sight introducing Russian military traditions. Every year, the organizers introduce new elements into the program, preserving the classic part. To enter the territory of the Kremlin, an entrance ticket is required.

Fish Week festival

This year the festival will be held in Moscow for the sixth time. Everyone can taste a variety of seafood dishes, as well as purchase fish, shrimp, caviar «take away”. Every day, gastronomic shows and various master classes for both adults and children will be held at the festival venues.

A cappella Moscow Spring international festival

Bright and talented performers and bands from different countries come to Moscow to demonstrate all their singing a cappella skills. The show takes place at different open-air scenes in the center of Moscow. Everyone can visit any city concerts, creative workshops, music, theatre performances.
