• Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Tours.  Stand-up paddleboarding is a fun water sport.  Visitors can take guided SUP tours to explore the waterways and marshes surrounding the town. • Eco-Tours.  Eco-tours are guided boat tours that explore the natural habitats and wildlife of Wrightsville Beach’s marshes and waterways.  The tours are led by experienced naturalists who provide information about the area’s wildlife including birds, dolphins and sea turtles.

• Yacht Charters.  Sunset cruises where visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and coastline while sipping on cocktails and relaxing on the deck are a memorable respite.  Yacht cruises can last from a few hours to all day and include personalized music, drinks and snacks.

HALF-DAY CATAMARAN SAIL

Set sail aboard our newest boat, Bella! These cruises run morning or afternoon, from 10am-2pm or 4-8pm, and have a completely customizable itinerary of where to go and what to do while onboard. We can accommodate up to six guests plu our captain and crew. You’ll have full access to the yacht’s climate-controlled interior as well as the spacious deck. We have a large tender for easy shore access to local bars and hotspots.

MASONBORO ADVENTURE SAIL

On this 3-hour private charter, you will fully experience the the adventure of sailing on Zoe, our Jeanneau 35′! Sail out into the Atlantic Ocean to feel the wind before anchoring behind Masonboro Island to relax and explore. Our crew will take you ashore in the dinghy to the pristine, uninhabited island of Masonboro. Then enjoy some fresh fruit as you cruise on back to Wrightsville Beach! 

PRIVATE SUNSET SAIL

Wind down for the day on this 2-hour private sunset sail on Zoe, our beloved Jeanneau 35′. We’ll take you out the jetty and sail off into the horizon before turning back towards shore to watch the sky change colors over the islands of Masonboro and Wrightsville Beach. Sip on a complementary bottle of wine or champagne with your friends or family.

PERFORMANCE SAIL

Experience the thrill of sailing a 26′ performance keelboat! The J80 is the perfect daysailer to offer you either a hands-on adventure or an easy cruise around WB. As we celebrated my Shakie birthday, Porsha Davenport, We had a wonderful time with Epic Excursion at Wrightsville Beach!! If you are looking for a great way to spend the day,I strongly recommend Epic Excursion. We took a boat ride to a private island where we had a scrumptious crab boil from Topsail Steamer set up and enjoyed. The boat ride was exciting, and the Captain (Captain B)was very accommodating. Great experience all around. We definitely will do this again BTW-THANKS Captain B for rescuing our beach hats!

EPIC IS THE BEST!!!! We came to NC to celebrate my in laws 50th wedding anniversary. Little did we know we would embark on such a great experience. Weather was perfect, boat was awesome and the Captain (Jonathan) was the most polite, professional and fun captain ever!!! We are SO thankful to Epic, and mostly to Jonathan, for making this special event even more special and extremely memorable! Thank you Epic!!!

What an awesome experience- did the oyster farm tour excursion and got to relax on one of the inter coastal beaches and enjoy oysters straight from the oyster farm we visited. Learned so much about oysters and NC oyster farming that made us even more proud to support local farmers and small businesses. Excellent service and knowledgeable captain helped us just relax! We were able to bring our own beverages but some nice wine pairings were served along with raw and steamed oysters. We would do this trip again as well as the other excursion options that epic excursions offers!

What a way to go if you want an experience on the water! My husband and I wanted to do something special for our family coming in from the West Coast. I know a bit about Epic Excursions and thought perfect. Kristy and Ian Balding were very professional, answered all our questions and the boat was great. Our Captain, Ted was awesome, took us down the waterway and told us a little about the area and settled on Masonboro Island! He loaded and unloaded all our beach stuff and cooked us a seafood boil that was delicious! Shout out to Topsail Steamer for that. I highly recommend this company and we will certainly be back!!

I wanted a special surprise party for my husband with 20 of our family members. When I saw Epic Excursions I knew this was it. They did not disappoint. We took the boat to an island on Masonboro inlet for 4 hours of fun, food, sun and swimming. Epic's Captain Ted picked us up on time and when we arrived on the island everything was set up and ready to go. We had the Low Country Boil which was delicious and perfectly prepared by the crew. If you want a special day on a secluded beach, you need to call Epic Excursions. We will definitely be doing this again. Maybe we'll try the sunset package next. Oh, and my husband WAS surprised.

This was an awesome local getaway! It's a perfect "glamping" experience for you and a loved one or just a mom break from all life's stressors. Amazing staff that was beyond accommodating. So easy to book, even with Covid-19 going on! The area we stayed was peaceful. Enjoyed stargazing at night and morning paddle boarding. Just show up and bring what you want to eat and drink for the night, everything else is provided.

We celebrated my sister-in-laws birthday with the True Blue dinner. Food was amazing. Ted our tour guy was fabulous. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely perfect team event! EE easily accommodated our large group (24) by doing 2 boat trips to Masonboro Island. The boat pulled up to beach chairs, music, bocce ball and corn hole with a table scape already set up for our large group tucked away from the wind. We laughed and played, followed by a delicious spread from Cape Fear Seafood Boil. HIGHLY recommend for friends, wedding parties, work groups, and family outings!! Thanks Kristi, Captain Aimee and Epic Excursions!

This was a great experience! The guides were fun and energetic. They took pictures of all of us paddling. Showed us great little islands in the marsh. Would absolutely do it again

We went to two different islands and stopped and explored both. Our kids were able to swim, play in the sand and collect all the seashells you could imagine! We saw dolphins, crabs, jellyfish and sand dollars. We will definitely do it again when we come back! Just make sure you bring water, sunscreen, wear your swimsuits and any sand toys for the kids. The weather was cool for our annual group outing, but with bright sun, our ladies were plenty warm and cozy inside the boat's main cabin with ample seating under the fixed roof with plastic enclosures all around. The bar and banquette areas were especially convenient for drinks and snacks making Carolina Runner the perfect party boat. We utilized the bow seating for swapping gifts and telling stories. Sea Tow returns boat recovered during search for missing boater to owners

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. (WECT) - The boat recovered during the search for Jeffrey Kale, a man last seen near Oak Island on April 6, has been returned to its owners.

The boat was recovered by Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach more than 90 miles offshore on April 9.

Coast Guard suspends search for missing boater again after finding missing boat

Scott Milford, the boat’s co-owner, said in a post on Facebook Tuesday that Sea Tow had claimed ownership of the boat and and refused to release it to him.

“They have since held our boat at their storage lot and have even attempted to demand an exorbitant sum, exceeding 50% of the boat’s value, for its return. My insurance company has engaged legal representation to challenge Seatow’s unjust actions. Despite ongoing efforts, Seatow has remained obstinate in their stance, refusing to cooperate. It’s been agonizing to wait patiently as our lawyers navigate this complex situation. Seatow’s behavior is not only unjust but also deeply insensitive, particularly considering the grieving process myself and Mr. Kale’s family are going through,” Milford’s post reads. “It’s truly disheartening that in a time of mourning and loss, Seatow has chosen to prioritize financial gain over compassion and understanding. Changes are indeed warranted, both in the law to prevent such abuses of power and in the conduct of those entrusted to aid us in times of need.”

WECT reached out to Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach Wednesday. Captain Chris Willis said the boat was returned to it’s owners as of 1 p.m. Wednesday.

“As the owner of Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach, my crew and I have always strived to provide service to boaters in an ethical and honest manner, to be a respected family-owned and operated local business that has served the Wilmington and surrounding communities for over 30 years. In light of recent commentary surrounding the recovery of Mr. Kale’s boat I’m compelled to respond,” said Willis.

The rest of Willis’ statement reads:

“Mr. Kale departed and went missing on April 6. On April 9 Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach voluntarily undertook a search for, and ultimately located Mr. Kale and Mr. Milford’s boat 92 miles offshore with assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Milford called our office for the first time after Sea Tow was already well offshore, identified himself as a co-owner of the boat, and after that was kept up to date on the search. Since initial recovery, the boat has been readily accessible to Mr. Milford, the Kale family and the U.S. Coast Guard. Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach never claimed ownership of the boat. The decision to maintain possession of the boat was mine as we worked through the claims process with the insurance company.

As of 1 pm today, 4/24, the boat has been returned to Mr. Milford and the Kale family.

Any actions by Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach were not intended to make a difficult time harder, our thoughts continue to be with the Kale family.”

Sea Tow Wrightsville Beach says there was no request for payment nor did the owners have to pay to get the boat back. The company says it is normal for any salvor to hold a boat until the proper paperwork has been put in place.

“It is not normal for an insurance company to take this long to do so,” the statement reads.

WECT reached out to Milford for comment, but has not received a response as of Wednesday evening.
