The best way to get around is by auto rickshaws and taxis. They may not be shiny and new like much of the western world, but it is an experience in itself and inexpensive.

In Udaipur, shop for colorful embroidered textiles, miniature paintings and papier mache puppets. If jewels are on your list, the "pink city" of Jaipur is the place.

India’s residents are still very conscious of social hierarchy (age, academic degree and profession). It is best to greet the oldest individual in a group first, use titles and avoid using first names unless invited to do so, especially when addressing the older generation.

An absolutely amazing 2 weeks of incredible sights, scenery and food! Each day was packed full of activities and exciting things to see, and there were lots of optional extras organised by our guide to fill the free time. You get a real feel for the culture - this is not just a tour from one monument to the next, but a dive under the skin of India to experience the real culture and see all sides of the amazing country. We owe a huge thank you to our CEO Dushyant, who was the most amazing guide and helped us to get the most out of our tour. A few things to note - have some money available for the optional extra activities, upgrades on transport (eg we got trains instead of buses to save time) and tipping. Would recommend taking a sleeping bag liner for the night train as the bedding did not look clean. Lots of early mornings so be prepared for that!

Golden Triangle Tour With Ranthambore

I travelled to India as a single mother with my 13 year old son and we booked the golden triangle with Ranthambore trip for 8 days. From the initial booking of the trip on line with Tour radar, the run up to the holiday and throughout the trip, I found the communication and service to have been excellent. There was a small issue prior to departure after a PayPal payment for additional activities that I had paid a month prior was bizarrely sent back to me, but I paid this in cash on my arrival to India. Thankfully the mishap didn’t affect the planned additional activities. Our driver ‘Messi’ picked us up at the airport and looked after us throughout the entire 8 day trip. He was brilliant, always available and friendly. We stayed in 4 different hotels, that were mostly adequate and comfortable. I wouldn’t class them as UK 4 star, but reasonable for the price you are paying. The second hotel in Jaipur unfortunately was not best as the location was very near to an open sewage river and ontop of the smell from that, there was a wedding on the hotel grounds across the road, that kept us awake all night when we had to be up at 4 am the following morning for an early start. We had tour guides in Delhi, Jaipur and Agra who were all very knowledgeable and friendly and whilst we were in Ranthambore on tiger safari, the safari guides were also good and we had an amazing experience of seeing a tiger very close up. Agra and the Taj Mahal was incredible and was the perfect ending to our trip before we went back to Delhi and flew home.

Colorful India with Taj Mahal & Rajasthan

Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis (ich habe allerdings auch nur 50 % des Katalogpreises bezahlt). Unser Fahrer war toll, auch wenn die Verständigung manchmal schwierig war. Die Guides waren überwiegend gut. Etwas nervig war, dass einen jeder Guide in einen Shop schleppen wollte, wo teils völlig überteuerte Sachen angeboten wurden (so in Bikaner und Fatehpur Sikri). Teils auch unter der Behauptung der Shop gehöre dem Bruder (so Guide Ali in Fatehpur Sikri) und man dürfe dem Fahrer nicht sagen, dass man dort etwas gekauft habe. Das wirkte sehr unseriös. Die Hotels waren überwiegend sauber (außer Rockland in Delhi). Oftmals hat man allerdings wohl die schlechtesten Zimmer im Hotel bekommen (dunkel, neben Rezeption, ohne Balkon). Einige Hotels waren jedoch fantastisch (Lallgargh Hotel Jaisalmer, Zone by Park in Jodhpur, Orange Hotel in Agra) und wir hatten dort wirklich sehr gute Zimmer. Was uns überhaupt nicht gefallen hat, war die Nacht im Camp in der Wüste. Das Camp war dreckig (überall Müll, der auch ins Vorzelt geweht wurde). Außer 15 min Kamelreiten in verdreckten Dünen direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße und Kulturabend (der war gut) war dort nichts zu unternehmen. Alles in allem war es jedoch eine gut organisierte Reise mit vielen Highlights von Rajasthan, die man selber nicht zu dem Preis hätte organisieren können. Die Hotelkategorie könnte jedoch etwas höher (und der Preis dementsprechrnd höher) sein. Ideal wäre, wenn man zwei Hotelkategorien zur Wahl hätte. Aber alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung!

Golden Triangle Tour with Varanasi

An amazing adventure that provided great moments showing glimpses of what India is really is. Everyone was kind, informative, and welcoming. Would recommend it to anyone interested in an immersive trip where you will learn a lot, move non-stop, and have a true Indian feel. The only thing I would change would be an upgrade to the overnight trip so it is in Business Class. 2nd class was not bad but having a closed private space would have been much more accommodating for sleeping. Shout out to our amazing driver from Delhi who went above and beyond and to the tour guides who were walking encyclopedias.

Luxury 3 Day Golden Triangle With 5 star Hotel

We just completed a GREAT three-day Golden Triangle tour of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. First, I have to say our driver, Khan, must have gotten his amazing driving skills in another world! He navigated the most difficult roads and situations with ease, making sure we were comfortable and safe the whole time. When visiting a new place, this is so important! He also pointed out a lot of sites and gave us additional points on Indian cultural, all is great English. The daily tour guides did an excellent job too. Each one had an incredible amount of historical, cultural, and societal knowledge and was happy to share with us. It’s was a fast trip, but we saw and learned a lot. I highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in seeing a slice on Indian life and learning about Indian culture.
