Even within one Tour Company you'll find variable prices. Some companies provide van transportation and shuttle groups of 15 or more from vineyard to vineyard. They may also work with intimate groups where transportation is a limo, horse-drawn carriage or hot air balloon. Just like elsewhere, here in the Central Valley, we can personalize your experience to make it as exotic as you'd like. You can choose a group tour or private tour.

A. Nonini Winery On a quaint country road surrounded by vineyards you will find Fresno’s best kept secret, A. Nonini Winery founded in 1936 by Antonio and Angiolina Nonini and their oldest son, Reno. Antonio immigrated to the United States from Northern Italy in 1900, and the first vineyards were planted in 1918. The Zinfandel grapes were planted in 1921, and today still produce a robust harvest. The family vineyards also produce a Barbera grape (Barbera wine), an Alicante Bouchet (Chianti wine), a Palomino (Sauterne wine) and other grapes used in the wine production. All varieties are 100% of the grape designated on the label. Many of the redwood tanks used for aging date back to 1936, as does much of the equipment still used in the winemaking. Aged oak barrels are used to finish the premium wines. Reno Nonini’s love of wine and knowledge of the business passed down to his son Tom and grandson James, who continue the family winemaking tradition into the fourth generation. In many ways, time has stood still for A. Nonini Winery, but the quality of the wine produced and the loyal patronage of their customers continues. Tours are available by appointment. The winery and tasting room are open 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday. 2640 N. Dickenson Ave. Fresno, CA (559) 275-1936
Cedar View Winery Completed in spring 2003, Cedar Grove ’s new winery building houses not only the winery facility, but the tasting room and new “Winemakers Suite”, an exclusive suite on the second floor. The winery is truly “boutique”, producing small handcrafted quantities of premium wines. All winemaking activities are completed on site including crushing, fermentation, pressing, aging, blending and bottling. Cedar Grove’s flagship wine, Alicante Bouschet, is a Rhone style grape that is steeped in history and grown on-site. Alicante was the number one wine grape in California before prohibition and is unique because of its dark juice. Only 1,300 acres remain today in California. Cedar Grove produces four varieties of Alicante including a Rosé of Alicante called Sequoia Sunset, an Alicante Bouschet “Premier”, as well as traditional and Reserve Alicante. Sequoia View also produces Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and others. The tasting room is reminiscent of Tuscany where all of the wines can be enjoyed. Local artwork, cheeses, olive oils and clothing are also featured. Tasting Saturday & Sunday, 1384 S. Frankwood Ave. Sanger, CA (559) 787-9412

Continuing its winning tradition, 2004 brought California State fair top honors for Fresno State wines, including a rare Double Gold for the 2001 Muscat Canelli. Fresno State Wines are available at local retailers and in the wine cellar at the Fresno State Farm Market. 2360 E. Barstow Ave. M/S VR8, Fresno, CA 93740 (559) 278-6619

Since 1954, Bob and his family have grown everything from grapes for wine and raisins, to peaches, plums, and apricots on this little piece of paradise south of Fresno. In 2012, Bob decided to follow his passion and focus only on what he loves most, wine. He planted 12 different varietals of wine grapes on the 40 acres and began building a state of the art winery, with wine making equipment unmatched by any winery in this region. Would not recommend. I upgraded to the limo when I booked the date, and without letting me know ahead of time, they came to pick us up in a van. The driver was great, but the wineries were so far away from each other there was no way to cover the 4 that was included in the price, so we only made it to 3. I called the next day to talk to the owner about the limo, and he was unapologetic, and even told me that at least he picked us up and didn't leave us hanging. After many back and forth emails, I have not received the upgraded price for the limo (it was a $165 upgrade) and the owner even came back and said that we stayed an extra hour so I owe him even more. Do not use this company. The business ethics are extremely questionable. You will not get any communication the days before the event, and also they will take your money and not provide you what you ordered. If I could give zero stars I would

Madera is both an up-and-comer and a historic California wine region. The first vines were planted well over 100 years ago, but few survived Prohibition in the 1920s. More recently, small, family-run wineries have cropped up, offering a low-key diversion in the state's Central Valley, about a half-hour northwest of Fresno.
