There’s no doubt about it: Las Vegas is one of the best destinations for group trips! From bachelor parties to girls’ weekends, and birthday bashes to reuniting with old college pals, it’s the perfect vacation spot to create lasting memories with your closest friends and family.

But before you get too deep in your planning, you’ll want to secure a place to stay that makes everyone happy. Nothing beats staying right on The Strip, so your group is in the middle of all the action. But you’ll also want enough room so you can spread out and take those disco naps without disturbing one another.

Fortunately, there are many Las Vegas suites for 6, for 8, for 10, and more – so take your experience up a notch and book a suite.

Why Book a Las Vegas Suite?

There are several benefits to booking a suite, rather than individual rooms. Here are a few of them:

• Centralize Your Entourage: For the ultimate group getaway, it’s all about location! Many of the major hotels right on The Strip, including MGM Grand , offer hotel suites and SkyLofts to accommodate groups of all sizes. Avoid the hassle of taking multiple cabs, or playing text-tag between rooms as you plan out your evening. Your entourage can relax, hang, and get ready in one centralized location, so the party never stops. 
• Avoid the Crowds: Many of the suites at MGM Resorts in Las Vegas, like at the Signature at MGM and the Vdara Hote l, include a full kitchen and living room, so you have extra room to lounge or party together. This is also a great option for groups on a budget, since you can cook meals or store some pre-party drinks to enjoy before heading out for the evening. 
• Elevate Your Experience: Really want to splurge? If cost isn’t an issue, many of the higher-end suites offer fancy extras that will make you feel like celebrities: think high-end technology, views to die for, private entrances, and gorgeous décor.

The Tower Suites at ARIA Resort & Casino

For larger groups – perhaps corporate retreats or company meetings – the  Executive Hospitality Suite  at ARIA is your best bet. The residential quarters sleep up to six guests in a King bedroom, Double bedroom and separate drawing room with sleeper sofa. Also, the entertaining area has a dining room for six, bar, billiard table and guest water closet.

Other amenities include two 46” LED TVs, a media hub, and luxurious pillow-top mattresses.

Two Bedroom Suite at The Delano

The Delano, located within the Mandalay Bay complex, is another great option to consider. Their  two-bedroom suite  has room for up to 6 guests, and offers two bedrooms, a living room, and a desk area. Bonus: floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful mountain views! This suite is perfect for groups looking for a relaxed yet luxurious vacation.

Skyline Marquee Suite at MGM Grand

OK with splitting up the group a bit? The MGM Grand offers several four-guest suites if you have a group of mixed company or two families.  The Skyline Marquee Suite  has two luxurious king beds, dramatic floor to ceiling windows with a 180-degree view of The Strip, and a wet bar. When you’re ready to connect, host everyone in the spacious living area before heading off to your next adventure.

What to Do in Vegas; Create the Perfect Vegas Itinerary for a Group Trip

What to do in Vegas… Vegas can seem overwhelming with its neon lights, fast pace, and bustling crowds. Las Vegas isn't just for partying though. There's so much to do there. Building the perfect Vegas itinerary for your crew just means finding the right mix of the many variety of entertainment options that Vegas has to offer.. and not over-staying your visit ;) There's a reason it's called Sin City. I'd recommend a long weekend, 3 days in Vegas is sufficient. More than 3 days and 3 nights in Vegas will probably be rough afterwards! Though if you're traveling from far away, you should stay longer & just pace yourself. Don’t forget to book a place to stay. There are a wide range of both cheap hotel rooms in Vegas to choose from, as well Las Vegas luxury hotels, and everything in between. My favorite hotel to stay at in Vegas: the Cosmopolitan.  ‍

Here's are my suggestions for what to do in Vegas (and some tips on planning a trip there with a group!) 

1. catch a show while you're there..

With an unparalleled entertainment lineup, Las Vegas hosts hundreds of shows each day, catering to every taste and interest imaginable. There are spectacular Cirque de Soleil performances, Criss Angel’s MINDFREAK amongst many magic shows, hilarious comedy acts, and unforgettable musicals. 

There is surely something for everyone. I’ve seen Cirque de Soleil and fell asleep. So maybe that’s not for me (also I was pretty buzzed so maybe that had something to do with it). I also saw a “Friends” themed comedic play, and that was entertaining. There’s a really wide spectrum here. 

Planning Tips for Groups: 

• Narrow down your choices by searching on Google for “Events happening in Vegas” and select your trip dates in Google’s events calendar. 
• Pick a few that your friend’s might be interested in & post the suggestions in Let’s Jetty’s group trip planner under “Things To Do” so your crew can vote for their favorite! 

2. Find time to walk the strip. 

A Vegas trip isn’t complete without walking the strip. I’d recommend doing this at night for first-timers.The lights, colors, and sound genuinely immerse you in all that is Vegas. The streets are vibrating with energy as people are weaving in and out. 

There are towering skyscrapers that have bright neon signs and larger than life LED billboards all screaming for your attention. Every casino boasts its own theme, from Ancient Rome to modern-day Paris, you can’t help but be mesmerized.

Also, Las Vegas is an open container state , so grab drinks to bring with you, or grab them along the way at the many bars that you’ll pass by!  

A couple of my favorites

- The Bellagio Fountains at the Bellagio Hotel are iconic. There’s a synchronized water, music, and light show that happens every 30 minutes in the evening. You may have seen it on social media, but it’s definitely better in person. - The Venetian Resort: you’ll be fascinated at this recreation of Venice; there’s a grand canal that connects the indoors & outdoors. They even offer gondola rides! 

‍ 3. Go to a bougie Vegas dinner. 

You may be surprised, but Vegas has an amazing food scene . It boasts restaurants owned by many famous celebrity chefs, or by chefs with multiple Michelin stars. And an impressive number of restaurants in Vegas have Michelin stars themselves. For all the foodies, you’ll find yourself excited about it, and amazed at how many there are! 

My Recommendation for Bougie: Bazaar Meat by José Andrés

José Andrés is a James Beard award winning chef and Bazaar is known for creating meat-forward dishes that are mouthwatering. Between the creative cocktails and the artistic styling of the dishes and atmosphere, it lives up to the hype!! 

These are just a few of the amazing things you can find at Bazaar: 

• Cotton Candy Foie Gras: Somehow cotton candy paired with foie gras, served on a stick just works, with both the cotton candy and foie gras melting pleasantly together in your mouth. It’s something I’ve never forgotten, and dying to have again. 
• Liquid Olives: The liquid olive is an olive are delicate orbs of spherified olive juice, held together with a thin gel layer, sheened with olive oil that bursts open when you bite into it. It’s hard to imagine if you haven’t had it, but think about a burst of flavor in your mouth. Check out foodie.com’s description . 
• Caviar Cones with Creme Fraiche: enough said.

Note – It’s an expensive dinner . So you’ll want to be sure it fits the budget preferences of your crew , or see who’s interested before adding this to the itinerary. 

Group Trip Planning Tips: - Send out a survey asking about people’s budget preferences early on in planning (even as soon as invites). Let’s Jetty has an easy to create survey that also includes a pre-made question that’s perfect for this. - Pick out a few restaurants & post them on the Let's Jetty app and see which gets the most “I’m in!” reactions from your crew.  - Ask for suggestions from the rest of the crew too! 

3. Go see a DJ at a Vegas club (for all the EDM lovers out there)

If you’re down for the clubbing experience while in Vegas and/or fans of EDM, or just want to dance, then I’d recommend checking out what DJs are headlining at the various venues. From Calvin Harris to Tiesto to  Zedd, Las Vegas clubs have some of the biggest DJs in the world. 

As someone who’s nostalgic for my EDM festival days, I love to do it for one of the nights I’m in Vegas and usually have a great time dancing. But as someone in my early thirties I also have to mentally prepare myself for waiting in line, shoving my way through crowds shoulder to shoulder with sweaty people in their early twenties, and paying $20 for water (it’s more expensive than a drink, but you’ll need it). 

The alternative is to get a table which is expensive, but if you’re with enough people who are willing, it’s an option. Be prepared to be outraged by the prices and remember gratuity is usually automatically added. 

4. Go see your favorite artists live in Vegas!

For those who aren’t about clubbing, but want a fun night out with your group, consider going to a concert or to see one of your favorite singers! Britney Spears got rid of the outdated notion that Las Vegas was the retirement home for once-iconic artists, and basically changed Sin City’s live performance scene. 

She's not performing anymore, but Vegas is home to up and coming artists and famous musicians who hold residencies at various Vegas casinos. Billboard.com has a list of 2 024 residencies , where they’ll be taking place, and where to get tickets.  

5. Eat Your Way through Vegas' “Food Halls” 

Because it’s Vegas, even their food courts aren’t typical . So you’ll definitely want to squeeze these stops into the Vegas itinerary! 

‍ “Block 16 Food Hall” at Cosmopolitan

The food hall at the Cosmopolitan (located by Marquee) brings a bunch of famous brands from all the US into one place including Nashville’s infamous Hattie B’s Hot Chicken , New Orlean’s District: Donuts. Sliders. Brew ; as well as Portland, Oregon’s Pok Pok Wing and Lardo . 

There’s also Tekka Bar, concepted from Las Vegas Restaurateur Takashi Segawa, best known for his creations Monta Ramen, Kabuto and Sushi Mon, Tekka Bar: Handroll & Sake draws inspiration from the ancient gambling destination in Japan dating back more than 100 years ago, with "Tekka Ba" translating to "old gambling place." I would highly recommend the handrolls here!

And of course, check out the speakeasy there – Ghost Donkey , which features New York City roots but waves the Mexican flag with its tasting flights of mezcals and tequilas as well as craft cocktails.

I was obsessed after discovering this place for the first time. Find Ghost Donkey in between Hattie Bob's Spicy Chicken and Lardo; it’s the rear door under the Exit sign that’s easily missed.  ‍

‍ Famous Asian Street Eats at Resorts World Las Vegas  

As the first new resort to be built on the Strip in a decade, Resorts World houses Las Vegas luxury hotels – the Conrad and the Crockford, and their more affordable Las Vegas Hilton.  It’s also enormous and an extremely fun resort to visit.

Their mostly asian food court is a must visit. 

Some of the stalls actually come from Singapore, like Boon Tong Kee, which uses a Hainanese chicken rice recipe that dates to 1979 (Hainanese chicken rice is delicious); Springleaf Prata Place, which turns out flaky roti and frothy teh tarik; and Geylang Claypot Rice, which makes Southeast Asian rice dishes in a traditional claypot. 

Other stalls to sample include the truffle-rice-stuffed lechon (or “pig”) at Pepita’s Kitchen, the only Filipino restaurant on the Strip, and the Peking duck at FUHU Shack.

6. Explore “Old Las Vegas” 

What to do in Vegas... that makes you feel like you’re really in Vegas? Check out Fremont Street , the old Strip, was paved in 1925 as the downtown area developed. The ban on gambling was lifted in 1931, which would later spark a massive casino development movement in downtown and what would later be known as the Strip.

Experience the city's rich history and vintage charm by visiting the iconic Fremont Street. From retro casinos to classic neon signs, this vibrant district offers a glimpse into the bygone era of old-school Vegas. 

7. Experience the "Infamous" Vegas Pool Parties

If you’re looking to party or to soak up the sun, Las Vegas is also known for its day club scene. Note: if you’re on a Vegas trip, go into the pool at your own risk. I saw Calvin Harris during the day at one of these pool parties, and the entire pool was basically shoulder to shoulder people. For me it's been hit or miss, but my favorite pool party experience so far was at Marquee Day Club at the Cosmopolitan. Vibes were good, not too crazy, and there was a good crowd that day. 

8. Eat Good Food

It's not all bougie dinners. You can find good food all over Vegas (and a wide range). Because I love to eat, here are a few more of recommendations.

• Have brunch at Bouchon at the Venetian
• Check out the buffet at Wicked Spoon at the Cosmo
• Get the best soup dumplings at Din Tai Fung

The perfect Vegas packing list will partly depend on whether you’re spending all day by the pool or planning to hit the clubs, but the basics are all the same.

No matter what kind of Vegas trip you’re on, there’s nothing like a Las Vegas hotel room with a balcony to set the scene for your vacation.

Ready to start packing? Here’s all the info you need to help you optimize your luggage. Discover what the weather will be like while you’re there and make sure not to forget the Vegas essentials.

What’s the weather like in Las Vegas?

The weather in Las Vegas, Nevada is warm and sunny most of the year (perhaps a little too warm in summer). It’s important to keep in mind that Las Vegas is in the desert so temperatures will always cool off quite a bit at night. Here’s more of what to expect weather-wise in Vegas depending on the month you’re visiting.

March-June and September-November are typically the best months to enjoy Las Vegas without scorching hot days or very chilly nights. Depending on your temperature preferences and planned activities while in Las Vegas, choose whatever month is right for you and pack accordingly. If you’re traveling anytime outside of the summer months, you’ll definitely need some warmer clothes for evenings out.

Planning on enjoying the best of Vegas nightlife while you’re in Sin City? For those looking to spend nights dancing in Tao and days at beach clubs, there are a few things you should know when it comes to your Vegas packing list.

Men, you’re going to need the following in Vegas:

• Nice, fitted jeans (preferably darker denim or black) or dress pants
• Button-up, collared shirts
• Sport coat (optional)
• Dress shoes
• Swimsuit (required for day clubs and pool parties)
• Small, drawstring bag (day clubs and pool parties)
• Sunglasses (day clubs and pool parties)
• Hats (day clubs and pool parties)

Almost as important as the what-to-wear list is the what-NOT-to-wear list. Baggy jeans, tee shirts (with rare exceptions), sneakers, hats, sandals, shorts, and any kind of athletic wear/jerseys are big NOs in Vegas clubs.

Women, here’s what you’ll need to pack for clubbing in Vegas:

• Fashionable (but comfortable) heels
• Tight-fitting jeans
• Bathing suit (bikini, one-piece, whatever you feel good in)
• Nice bathing suit coverup
• Sandals (for day clubs/pool parties)
• Makeup remover

Ladies, be sure to bring a small cross-body purse or clutch to hold your belongings. Larger bags may be able to be checked but you may just be turned away.

While we’re all for women feeling confident in whatever they choose to wear, unfortunately in Vegas – if you want to gain entry to certain nightclubs – you have to play by their rules.

Vegas packing list for the family

Off to Vegas with the kids in tow? There are a few family-specific must-haves to add to your Vegas packing list.

• Comfortable shoes for the kids (for all the walking up and down The Strip!)
• Flip flops or Crocs for by the pool
• UV-protective clothing/swimsuits (safest option for that desert sun)
• Wide-brimmed hat
• Plenty of swimsuits so you always have one dry
• White noise machine for noisy Las Vegas hotel room hallways

Traveling with a baby? These products make the journey as easy as possible:

• The Nuna Pipa Lite RX car seat is ultra-light, FAA-approved for planes, and can be used without its base.
• The Ergobaby Metro+ stroller fits in the overhead bin and lays completely flat to let baby nap well on the go.

Not everyone comes to Vegas in pairs. In fact, a survey conducted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority determined that in 2021, 25% of visitors came to town as part of a group of 3 or more.

Whether you’re traveling with family, coworkers, or friends, you’re likely looking for some social activity ideas in Las Vegas that’ll appeal to everyone.

To qualify as one of my top group activities, attractions need to:

• Be group-focused – Individual experiences like ziplines are out.
• Spur Conversation – Silent activities like seeing a show are out.

Hopefully, you can find a nugget or two that’ll fit your itinerary! Let’s dive in, shall we?

Things To Do With a Group in Las Vegas

You likely have one in your hometown, but I can assure you, the one in Brooklyn Park, MN doesn’t stack up to the Vegas version.

Tucked behind MGM Grand, Topgolf offers engaging and enjoyable games that golfers and non-golfers alike are sure to enjoy.

In addition to golf, Topgolf serves a full menu, boasts 5 bars (some with video poker), has TVs hanging everywhere, and even makes a 2 level swimming pool available to visitors.

The experience is sure to generate conversation and laughs while getting the competitive juices flowing.

High Roller Observation Wheel

High Roller’s pods hold up to 40 people, and the attraction even offers a group discount.

Reaching heights of 550 feet above the Strip, the Observation Wheel is sure to generate plenty of chatter amongst the crew throughout the 30-minute revolution.

While a traditional ride on the High Roller is impressive, those looking for a “rowdier” experience may want to consider upgrading to the Happy Half Hour experience, which offers an open bar for the duration of your ride.

I’ve personally taken two Happy Half Hour spins and have gotten my money’s worth both times. They even offer you a drink for the road!

Brooklyn Bowl

Found along the LINQ Promenade, Brooklyn Bowl offers bowling with an edge. Along with traditional bowling, Brooklyn Bowl commonly hosts live music, is home to a number of bars, and has a full menu.

Think of it as a classier, more fun, take on traditional bowling.

Uniquely, you can take an online 3D tour of the property on Brooklyn Bowl’s website .

Throw Darts

On the topic of social games, Flight Club can be found in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and offers 20 semi-private playing areas.

This is nothing like your “divey” darts bar back home, either – Flight Club is best described as “elegant”.

Dine in Complete Darkness

On the topic of food, few meals will provide a more unique experience in Las Vegas than Blackout: Dining in the Dark.

As the name would suggest, Blackout: Dining in the Dark is a 7-course fine dining experience served in complete darkness, which is said to elevate your other senses.

No cell phones, flashlights, or other light sources. Just darkness.

No doubt, your group will be talking about this for some time.

A Helicopter Tour

Few views of Las Vegas are better than that provided by a helicopter tour of the Strip.

Prices start at around $115 per person, and the flight path takes you from the south end of the Strip to Downtown Las Vegas and back.

An Escape Room

There are few better ways to bond than by escaping from a prickly situation. The Escape Game , located conveniently in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace gives your crew that opportunity.

A highly reviewed experience, The Escape Game offers a few unique scenarios that include a prison break, a museum heist, and the exploration of an undersea laboratory among others.

Oftentimes, tickets to The Escape Game are a tad cheaper when booking via Vegas.com.

Visit an Elevated Cocktail Lounge

Grabbing drinks with a view of Las Vegas can be the perfect bookend for your night, either kicking it off or winding it down.

Some of my favorite options include:

• Alle Lounge on 66 at Resorts World
• Legacy Club at Circa
• Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay
• Skyfall Lounge at Delano
• 108 Drinks at STRAT found in their indoor Observation Deck
• BrewDog atop the Showcase Mall
• Beer Park at Paris – Not high, but great views of the Strip

Sneak into a Speakeasy (or 3)

Finding clandestine cocktail lounges hidden in plain sight is the perfect “Where’s Waldo-like” activity to bond over.

Las Vegas speakeasies are growing in popularity, but a few of my favorites are found at Cosmopolitan.

There, your group can discover Ghost Donkey , The Ski Lodge , and The Barbershop , three differentiated experiences that have impressed me in the past.

Another go-to for my wife and I is the Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den at Resorts World, which is hidden behind an active restaurant in their Famous Foods Street Eats food hall.

Sing (or watch) Karaoke Together

Several karaoke bars in Las Vegas offer private room rentals that could make for a memorable, albeit embarrassing (depending on your skill level) night out on the town.

Kamu Ultra Karaoke, which is a luxury experience right on the Strip at Palazzo offers medium, large, and VIP suites that can accommodate groups of 6-40 people.

Ninja Karaoke is located in the Las Vegas Arts District (near downtown), and also offers private karaoke rooms for groups that can accommodate 6-80 people.

Explore Omega Mart at Area15

Just off the Strip, Omega Mart is the flagship attraction at the Area15 entertainment complex.

The attraction appears to be a run-of-the-mill supermarket, but there is much more to the story than meets the eye.

First, the products on the shelves at Omega Mart are… strange…

Next, your group will want to seek out the portals to another dimension that are hidden within the store.

Once you make it through a portal, the crew will have a blast exploring the collection of unique rooms, artistic displays, unreal visuals, and even twisting slides.

Here’s a sampling of what you’ll find behind Omega Mart’s retail facade.

As you navigate the nooks and crannies of Omega Mart, work together to solve the mystery of Dramcorp, Omega Mart’s parent company by leveraging the clues that are scattered about.

• The earlier you start looking into things , the more options and wiggle room your suppliers in Vegas have, and thus the more willing they are to work with you to provide custom solutions and group discount rates.

"We've taken over 10 group tours using Cosmos and Gate1. This trip last month, 9000 was not very good. -During booking, incorrect information was given about airport-hotel transfers -The whispers (listening devices) didn't work from the get-go, so no whispers were used during the 13 day trip. - Porters are no longer hired to bring your luggage to and from your room. (Very elderly had to handle their own luggage. Our friends had to help many of them.) -A few days into the trip one couple left. At the end of the trip we found out they had covid. Cosmos did not let us know; a few people weren't feeling well and two of our friends then tested positive. -One hotel was awful and not even up to "budget" standards -Many of the stops had castles, churches... but were not included, so be sure to count that in when pricing.  don't plan to use Cosmos ever again. Gate1 is the best in my opinion. When my husband's passport was stolen, they assigned someone to go with him to the embassy, translate, etc...It was above and beyond what we expected  "

If you’re going to do Las Vegas in a day , you need to be meticulous in your planning. This Las Vegas itinerary is a good place to start because it includes the top Vegas attractions that any visitor to Sin City should see.

First, opt for a ticket for the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus , which will let you easily move from one spot to the next. The bus tour travels along the Strip and Downtown, making 9 stops and arriving every 45 minutes. You can get on and off at your leisure at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign , the STRAT , and other landmarks.

One of those stops is the LINQ Promenade , a haven for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The centerpiece attraction is the High Roller , one of the world’s largest observation wheels.

I also recommend spending your day at some of the best hotels in Las Vegas . For example, The Venetian is home to the Grand Canal Shoppes and Madame Tussauds . It’s also worth seeing the Bellagio Fountains and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas .

Las Vegas in a day itinerary

Begin your day in Las Vegas by visiting the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign . You can catch the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus  there and take it to the LINQ Promenade .

After exploring this entertainment area, hop back on the bus and get a tour of Downtown Las Vegas . If you’re not interested in downtown, you can walk over to The Venetian and check out Madame Tussauds and the gondola rides at the Grand Canal Shoppes .

Later, head back to the LINQ Promenade and ride the High Roller during sunset. At night, walk to the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas , where you’ll have a great view of the Bellagio Fountains . The water show is one of the best free things to do in Vegas , although if you want to see it from the Paris viewing deck, you should reserve a ticket  (It is also included at the Las Vegas All-Inclusive Pass  ).

2-day Las Vegas itinerary, the best Las Vegas weekend itinerary

If you’re wondering what to do in Vegas for the weekend , you have plenty of options. A 2-day Las Vegas itinerary allows you to make the most of your trip and even venture a bit outside the city. Weekends are also the best time to plan a birthday or friends’ trip because you can see the main attractions and enjoy the nightlife.

I recommend taking the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus  during the day to see some landmarks and popular resorts. For example, New York-New York has the Big Apple Coaster and Arcade , which is fun for all ages.

Then, you can take the bus downtown and take in the Fremont Street Experience and other attractions in downtown Las Vegas . Shortly before sunset, head to the LINQ Promenade and ride the High Roller . Then, enjoy the city views at night atop the SkyPod at the STRAT .

With another day in Vegas , you can use the first half for a Hoover Dam tour. Then, rest up before hitting a Vegas pool party or doing a bar crawl .

Las Vegas 2-day itinerary

Seeing the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign is a rite of passage, so start there. This is also where you can catch the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus , which will transport you around the Strip.

If you like thrill rides, stop at New York-New York ‘s Big Apple Coaster before continuing downtown. Then you can do the Las Vegas Downtown – Fremont St. walking tour , one of the best things to do in downtown Las Vegas .

Also, be sure to check out the LINQ Promenade and consider visiting the nearby Springs Preserve . You can round out day 1 with the Bellagio Fountains show, maybe from the Eiffel Tower at Paris Hotel.

After that whirlwind day, you’ll appreciate getting away from the city with a visit to the Grand Canyon . Then, on day 3, spend the morning in one of the best spas in the City. And after that, for a couple’s itinerary in Las Vegas , the Erotic Heritage Museum is a great idea. Another fun thing to do in Las Vegas as a couple is to go to the STRAT SkyPod for after-dinner drinks.

Finally, spend your last day taking a day tour to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, or Zion National Park . You can’t go wrong with either option, as they’re some of the best day trips from Vegas .

Las Vegas 4-day itinerary

For your first day in Sin City, I recommend getting a head-start by visiting the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign . Capture a memorable photo, then catch the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus , which will take you around the Strip.

Then, take a break from the Boulevard and visit one of the top attractions outside Las Vegas , like the  Springs Preserve .

Afterward, return to the Strip or check out downtown Las Vegas with a Fremont Street walking tour . If you want to stay on the Strip, I recommend going to Madame Tussauds at The Venetian and the gondolas at the Grand Canal Shoppes .

Then, stop at the LINQ Promenade and enjoy a sunset ride on the High Roller . At night, walk to the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas to watch the Bellagio Fountains . It’s one of the best things to do in Las Vegas at night , although if you want to see it from the Paris viewing deck, you should reserve a ticket .

For one of the most exciting Las Vegas family vacation itineraries , you must visit the Grand Canyon . This national park is absolutely gorgeous, so it’s a wonderful place to visit as a couple, with friends, or with children. Plus, on the way, you’ll pass the Hoover Dam , another place worth visiting.

Once you get to Grand Canyon Village , also known as the South Rim, you can see some of the most famous lookout points. One of the best is Hopi Point , where you can get panoramic views of the canyon, but if you want to have a completely different view of the canyon, I can’t recommend enough taking a helicopter tour at Grand Canyon.

After your day trip from the day before, rejuvenate with a massage or treatment at one of Las Vegas’ best spas . Then, use your free time exploring the Strip and doing some couples’ activities in Vegas . A few ideas are the Ethel M Chocolates Factory or the Fremont Street Experience .

In the evening, go to the Erotic Heritage Museum and visit the SkyPod at the STRAT . It’s one of the coolest rooftop bars in Las Vegas and the perfect way to end day 3 of this Las Vegas itinerary .

To end your 4-day Las Vegas itinerary , take a day tour to a nearby attraction. There are so many awesome day trips from Las Vegas , so it can be hard to choose. I recommend going to Zion National Park or visiting Antelope Canyon and neighboring Horseshoe Bend .

If you visit Zion National Park , you’re in for a treat because this place is full of beautiful hikes, overlooks, and natural structures. The hike at Angels Landing is a must-do, and you shouldn’t miss the iconic views at Court of the Patriarchs and the Virgin River .

The other day trip I recommend is Antelope Canyon , a gorgeous slot canyon with red, water-carved curves. Bring your camera, because when the light filters through the canyon walls, it’s one of the most ethereal scenes.

Plus, Antelope Canyon is very close to Horseshoe Bend , so you can visit both in one day. This imposing meander on the Colorado River is 984 feet tall, so you can imagine the views from here. It’s certainly worth adding to your Las Vegas trip itinerary !

5-day Las Vegas itinerary, the perfect first-time Vegas itinerary

Five days is ideal for a first-time Vegas itinerary . This way, you can see the best attractions on and off the Strip and have plenty of time to take in all the sights.

Start with a tour on the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus , which will take you down the Boulevard and through downtown. You’ll be able to hit the most popular spots like the LINQ Promenade , the Grand Canal Shoppes , and the Mob Museum . Later in the day, take the Las Vegas Downtown – Fremont St. walking tour and finish with a Bellagio Fountains show.

The next day, spend some time perusing the best museums in Las Vegas , like Madame Tussauds and the Neon Museum . In the evening, check out the FlyLINQ Zipline and the Big Bus Night Tour . You can’t also leave the city without trying your luck in one of the  best casinos in Las Vegas.

I recommend using the last few days of your Las Vegas itinerary to take a multi-day tour. I like this one , which goes to Antelope Canyon , Grand Canyon , Zion , Bryce Canyon , and Monument Valley .

Las Vegas 5-day itinerary

As a newbie to Sin City, you must see the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign . There, you can catch the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus  and ride down the Strip. The bus will take you into the downtown district, where you can visit the Mob Museum , one of the top museums in Las Vegas .

Downtown Vegas is lots of fun and should definitely be on a first-time Vegas itinerary . You can learn more about this area by taking the Las Vegas Downtown – Fremont St. walking tour .

Afterward, hop back on the bus and go to The Venetian to see the Grand Canal Shoppes . Even if you just walk around there, you’ll be amazed by the architectural replicas of Italian landmarks. Since the LINQ Promenade is a short walk away, I recommend heading there and riding the High Roller observation wheel. It’s a great place to watch the sunset or see the Bellagio Fountains water show.

The great thing about a 5-day Las Vegas itinerary is that it gives you more time to explore and take in all the activities. Since you’ll have the time, I suggest visiting Madame Tussauds and the Neon Museum. These two Las Vegas museums offer unique exhibits you’ll only find in Sin City! Plus, they’re popular kid-friendly attractions in Vegas , so they’re perfect for adding to a Las Vegas family itinerary .

During the latter part of the day, check out the FlyLINQ Zipline at LINQ Promenade , and soar over this bustling entertainment hub. You can round out the evening with a Big Bus Night Tour to see the Strip’s most famous landmarks. For example, I recommend stopping by some of the most popular casinos in Las Vegas.

After exploring the best attractions on Las Vegas Strip , it’s time to start your multi-day trip. This 3-day tour begins with a visit to Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Zion National Park is a gorgeous area with narrow canyons, mountains, natural pools, and wildlife. During your tour, you’ll have plenty of photo opportunities to capture the majestic cliffs and iconic sights like Weeping Rock . You can also embark on one of the park’s top hikes, such as the Emerald Pools Trail , which features waterfalls and turquoise lagoons.

Afterward, you’ll go to Bryce Canyon , a national park characterized by hoodoos or natural sandstone spires. These red-orange structures create some magnificent arches and bridges, as well as Bryce Amphitheater . After exploring the beauty of this park, you’ll wrap up day 3 of this Las Vegas itinerary at a Bryce Canyon campsite.

You’ll start with a visit to an authentic Navajo Trading Post and have the option to do a helicopter flight over the canyon. I highly recommend adding this to your Las Vegas itinerary . The Grand Canyon is one of the best road trips from Las Vegas , and a Grand Canyon heli-tour is an unforgettable experience.

If you don’t take the flight, you can take a hike along the canyon rim and hear from a knowledgeable guide about the area’s history and geology. Get acquainted with this massive natural wonder and witness the views from its famous lookout points. At the end of the day, your tour group will head back to Vegas.

7 days in Las Vegas itinerary, the best Las Vegas family vacation itinerary

If you have the time and budget for a 7-day Las Vegas itinerary , there is plenty of fun to be had! You’ll be able to maximize your trip and see the best of the Strip, downtown Las Vegas, and the surrounding areas.

To start, check out the most popular Vegas attractions and sights by taking the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus . Be sure to check out iconic landmarks like the LINQ Promenade and Madame Tussauds . In the evening, go to the   Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas  to watch the mesmerizing Bellagio Fountains show.

You can take the Las Vegas Downtown – Fremont St. walking tour   or walk over to The Venetian , one of the best Vegas hotels . The resort is home to Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, a fun place to go in Las Vegas with kids . The hotel also has the Grand Canal Shoppes , which mimic Venice, Italy, and its historical landmarks.

Later, stop at the LINQ Promenade to ride the High Roller , perhaps at sunset. After dusk, go to the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and watch the famous Bellagio Fountains show. You’ll have to reserve a ticket for the viewing deck in advance.

If you plan on making this a Las Vegas family vacation itinerary , begin your second day at a Las Vegas waterpark . Mandalay Bay Beach at Mandalay Bay and Splash Zone at Circus Circus are right on the Strip. Or you can visit a nearby water park, like Lake Las Vegas or Cowabunga Bay .

You’ll have some free time to take it all in before heading back to Sin City.

Now that you’re back in the city, why not recharge with a visit to one of the best pools in Las Vegas ? Chilling out by the water is one of the best things to do in Vegas during the day when the beating sun is at its most intense.

Besides the fiery sandstone, the Valley of Fire is home to colorful landscapes like the Rainbow Vista and Pastel Canyon . You’ll also find impressive natural structures like Arch Rock , Elephant Rock , and the Beehives .

Be sure to travel along the park’s Scenic Drive, also known as Mouse’s Tank Road . I also recommend doing a hike or two to see the Fire Wave and the ancient pictographs . I guarantee you won’t regret ending your Las Vegas trip itinerary here!

I’m sorry, can we all just sit and bask in the beauty of that transition? Anyway, there’s going to be the inevitable headache from getting the plans together. People have different tastes, budgets, and vacation desires. However, whether it’s a bachelor or bachelorette party, a family vacation, or random trip with a group of friends, there are a few things you can do to alleviate the planning pangs.

Getting dates secured as early as possible helps every stakeholder. Most of these tips are for groups of 8 or more. If you’re at 8 + people, let the party leader (whoever the trip is for: the bachelor, bachelorette, birthday-haver, divorcee, etc.) choose the date. You’ll never be able to agree on days that work for everyone; it’s too much of a headache to even try. Have the party leader get a list of invites, choose the trip dates that works best for them, then send it immediately.

There’s no such thing as too soon. When I was putting together my bachelor party plans, I sent out the dates and the general Vegas proposal about 10 months in advance. This gave my group ample opportunity to put in time for vacation and, most importantly, to save some money if they had to. We had a great opportunity to look ahead for deals and it  gave us a boat load of time building up Vegas anticipation, a fun part of the experience. I had several buddies thank me for telling them so far in advance and I credit the forward thinking for the reason I had so many show up. It certainly wasn’t my charming personality. I had 11 buddies in two during the memorable trip. Of course, sometimes we have Vegas whims and can’t always plan that far in advance, but just do your best to get the word out as soon as possible.

Pick a Host Hotel

Think of it like planning a conference. Every conference has a host hotel, but the planning team is never upset if individual attendees choose to stay in different accommodations. Give the same respect to the people in your Vegas group. After all, people have different budgets or, sometimes overlooked, loyalty. During my bachelor party, I was lucky in that all of us were pretty much on the same budget and I picked a hotel, the Flamingo , which was very wallet friendly. So, that hotel luckily worked for all of us. This may not always be the case, though. For instance, I’m helping plan a Vegas bachelor party for a July trip. The big boy was looking to stay at either Aria or Cosmo. For both, we were looking at a little over $200 a night for the room. The grand total would have been close to $700 total per room, if not, more. That was just fine for a few of us, but not everyone may have been comfortable spending that much money on a bed they’ll only spend a few hours in a night. It is a bachelor party. It’s important to remember that finances can be a touchy subject for some people and many may not speak up if they feel uncomfortable. I’ve seen some comments on low roller itineraries on the various Vegas message boards that say “If you can’t afford Vegas, you have no business going”. I may be dressing those comments up a bit, they’re usually not that elegant. Vegas, despite the proliferating fees, is still a great budget destination. We, as planners and Vegas fans, simply need to remember that bankrolls vary.

So, let the leader pick a hotel. It’ll serve as the daily meeting place for the group, but offer different suggestions for all the guests. My needs changed in the middle of our planning process. As I said earlier, thanks to a tip from Justin, I had a deal at Vdara that would have been too good to pass up. Knowing that our group was going to be around Aria, staying at Vdara, a short walk to Aria, isn’t a big deal. Another suggestion I offered to the group in Monte Carlo. It’s a cheap option and quick walk to the Aria casino. There’s no good reason to limit people’s choices. Unfortunately, those are all MGM properties. Understandably, Vegas veterans might not be too keen on supporting those properties with the new parking fees. This speaks to the idea of brand loyalty. Maybe a person in the group doesn’t care about the price, but they’ve built up some equity with a certain property or chain. Perhaps they simply don’t want to stay at MGM out of principal. Let them. Any money they save adds to their perceived value of the trip, potentially freeing up funds to spend on the bachelor or bachelorette later in the trip. The goal is to stay in the same general location. Lucky for us, every area of the Strip and downtown has a variety of hotel options. Let everyone accommodate themselves.

Use A Spreadsheet

Excel nerds can unite around this. Now that we have some dates and a general location, we can get rooms all set up. Control freaks and excessive planners may want to get very hands-on here. I wouldn’t. This is partially due to the fact that I’m lazy. Mostly, though, it’s because everyone in the group is an adult and they can handle it themselves. Well, maybe not completely. They’ll need a little help. This is where the spreadsheet comes in. Make an accessible and editable spreadsheet available online, my group uses Google drive. Here’s a template you can use.

On the sheet, list the names of all the confirmed attendees and their contact info. Also, list the days they are attending. Some may not have time off for the entire trip, but are still coming out for part of it. Next to that there is a column that will only house a check mark, confirming when they’ve booked a room. As people book, the next column will list the room pairings. The final column simply lists the hotel the pairings will be staying at. So, it’s 6 columns total. You put the spreadsheet out there and let the group contact each other and fill in the spreadsheet as they go. You’ll be spinning your wheels trying to coordinate everything. You can, of course, give a gentle nudge and suggest room pairings, but let those big boys handle most of the work. Leave the onus on them to do a majority of the work.

Also in the document is a brief list and description of other hotel options. Not everyone is as excited or knowledgeable about Las Vegas as we are, so this will be quite helpful. On the form I created, I also listed a range of expected room rates, resort fees included, for the other hotel options. If you use the simple template I created, it won’t take more than 30 minutes to set up. After that, it’s like cooking a rotisserie chicken, just set it and forget it.

Don’t Over-plan

Can you tell that I’m big on not doing a lot of work? Really, it’s for the better of the group. If you don’t plan anything at all, it can be hard to get a large group to come to a decision. If you plan to0 much, you lose the opportunity for those organic and seemingly random Vegas experiences to come about. My suggestion is to plan one thing for the group per day. Anything beyond that starts to become troublesome. Planners will spend more time looking at their watch trying to move the group to the next activity instead of just enjoying the moment. It also limits people’s chances to enjoy the activities they like. Further, it’s hard getting reservations for a big party. Stop stressing, it’s Vegas. Here’s of singular planned activities from my bachelor party:

Day 1 – Group dinner at Batista’s

Day 2 – Cabana at MGM

Day 3 – Scooter fun

Naturally, we did many other things as a group, but we didn’t put pressure on it. For instance, after our day 1 group dinner, I told the group that I was going to go downtown to gamble. Naturally, the everyone went along. Once downtown, the group split into smaller pairs based on what and where we wanted to play. This is a great part of going to Vegas with a group of friends. It sounds cheesy, but everyone creates their own memories. It’s really fun to see the different, smaller groups come together, especially if you have a mix of friends from different social circles. Plus, it’s really entertaining meeting up later, sometimes the next morning, and hearing about everyone’s stories from the night before. Vegas was made for these little adventures and people will have more fun if they don’t feel constricted to the big group at all times.

All this being said, if you’re the group leader or the reason for the season, be sure to let them know where you’re going or what your plans are. People sacrificed time and money to celebrate you, so keep them up to speed. I typically send out a group text in the mornings telling them my general itinerary for the day. If the whole gaggle wasn’t together, I’d send general updates like “headed to Golden Nugget with _____ and _____ .” Some may not want to join depending on how they fell, but they’ll appreciate being kept in the loop.

Make Day 1 the Big Night

One of the biggest Vegas mistakes I see happen all too often is parties going all out on their final night. I get the temptation. It’s likely your last day in Vegas for a while- you want to go out with a bang. Unfortunately, if you do that, you’re likely headed home with a hangover. Looking at the departing tourists at McCarran is simultaneously amusing and sad. It’s not fun flying with a pounding head or a turbulent stomach. My suggestion is to make night one the big Vegas romp you want to tell stories about. Your group is fresh off their flights and excitement is at a high. Use that energy and go all out. Most of us have trouble sleeping that first night anyway, we might as well use insomnia to our advantage. This also gives you the opportunity to soothe your hangover in relative comfort. You won’t have to worry about packing, checking out, and getting to the airport concerned about a cab cleanup fee.

The final day of the group trip is a perfect time for relaxing. A trip to the spa or a cabana rental is perfect. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a quiet night, but try to keep it a bit tame. This helps ease the transition back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Grab Some Supplies

You’ll want to grab some accoutrements before that first big night. You’ll be happy the next morning if you stock your room with ibuprofen, Gatorade, and the like. It helps if someone has a car, but with Uber or Lyft or one of the 287 CVS locations on the Strip, you can still do it fairly cheaply without renting a vehicle. Obviously, things will be cheaper and you’ll have more of a variety if you head to a store away from the action, but you have to balance the value of the items with the time and money it takes to get there.

If you only need some simple things like a few bottles of water and Advil, just walk to a CVS. If you’re looking to stock up on some non-standard beer or liquor, a journey may be worth it. Either way, hungover you will appreciate the planning you did the day before.

Don’t Meet in the Room

This is a mistake I’ve done and, in my experience, is just a waste of time. You’re seemingly always waiting on an individual or two to get ready, leaving most of the group twiddling their thumbs in a tiny room doing nothing. You’re wasting precious Vegas time. Instead, meet at a bar in the host hotel. This lets people get their night started with some choice cocktails and saves people staying in other hotels the hassle of navigating the different resort towers. There’s better people watching on the casino floor, so your inevitable wait for that one person who just can’t seem to get ready on time is much more enjoyable.

If one of the party members has a suite, then this all goes out the window. Any suite with a large kitchen area and full-size fridge makes for a decent meeting space. It allows for a much cheaper pre-gaming opportunity. If you paid for the big room, try to get your money’s worth.

You’re in Vegas. You’ll have fun if you allow yourself to, no matter what you’re doing. I know traveling and planning trips can be stressful, but once you’re there, just let Vegas takeover. If you don’t go to heavy preparing “perfect” activities, you won’t be disappointed when they inevitably go awry. And, trust me, they will.Let the group do what the group wants. There’s no preparing for the goofy things that can happen. Make one firm plan for the group per day, then enjoy the rest of your Vegas adventure.

Great topic! A few years ago a friend’s bachelor party was in Vegas and we had a group of 19. Some takeaways from that (sometimes harrowing) experience:

1) Don’t worry about keeping the group together. The one advantage of having a group that huge is that you can probably find a few people to do whatever it is you want to do at the moment. And if a few people are going off to do something that doesn’t sound fun, you probably won’t be alone if you decide to skip it. A big mistake is feeling obligated to stick together and ending up doing a bunch of crap that won’t be fun for you. Breaking up the group also cuts down the amount of time you stand around in a big dopey huddle hemming and hawing about what to do next, which is the worst use of Vegas time outside of a timeshare pitch.

2) Plan ONE meal that is the big group dinner. And unless you’re high rollers, don’t make it a steakhouse. Getting steaks for a dozen or more is going to take. all. night. And odds are you’re going to have a significant percentage of the group who ends up annoyed at both the time and the cost of the dinner. Better to find a fun atmosphere with good food and reasonably quick service rather than attempting to ape the Rat Pack.

3) Pick an area of the strip, maybe book one suite at a hotel in that area, and otherwise let people book their own damn rooms. Two reasons for this: you will never get a consensus on any property, and it’s an absurd amount of work for the poor bastard who gets stuck figuring out room combinations and prices per person. (And that poor bastard might just snap after doing hours of research and seemingly finding the best balance of value and swank, only to have someone in the group consider it for 15 seconds before offering a totally unhelpful suggestion like “you should look into Rio.”)

Totally agree on all points. Center Strip is perfect for bachelor/ette parties. So many options, including inexpensive resorts. Plus, you’re in the center of all the action. I also say pick one night to take the group downtown. There’s so much so close, everyone can find some trouble to get into.

Las Vegas Trip: Day One

Whether you're only in town for one day or it's the first out of a three-day Vegas trip, you'll want to make the most out of these 24 hours. There’s certainly not a lack of things to do in Las Vegas , but deciding what to do is intimidating. Since we know exactly what you should be checking off your Sin City bucket list, your 24-hour dance with Lady Luck should go a little something like this:

A Vegas Trip Starts with Brunch

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so a visit to one of the best brunch spots in Las Vegas should be high on your to-do list. We’ll point you to The Cosmopolitan . We don’t have a bias, but we do love this one for its massive variety of delicious food and its central Strip location. A Vegas brunch allows you to indulge in a range of worldly cuisine while still feeding the pro-wrestler inside you. More importantly, a Vegas trip is never complete without a bottomless mimosa.

Sightseeing on the Vegas Strip

Once your stomach is bursting with steak and strudel, it’s time to take in the sights. Binoculars, fanny packs, and Hawaiian shirts are optional, but we’re more about seeing as many landmarks as possible on our three-day Vegas trip. We find that the most efficient way to do that is with a Big Bus Tour that whisks you away to every notable destination on your checklist while still giving you plenty of time to explore on your own. So, Let’s start with some casino hopping. Amidst the singing slot machines and the bustling gaming tables, every hotel has a unique theme. One minute you’ll find yourself in the days of the Roman Empire inside the opulent lobby of Caesars Palace , and the next, you’ll be among the Egyptian ruins of The Luxor .

As you make your way down Las Vegas Boulevard, stop at The High Roller or FLY LINQ Zipline located at The LINQ Promenade. This observation wheel is the largest in the United States so chances are you won’t have trouble finding it. The High Roller’s pods have some of the best views in the city and include an open bar for visitors who want to get started on their Vegas drinking with an afternoon cocktail or two. Speaking of afternoon refreshments, the High Roller is surrounded by tons of food options that include the west-coast fast food favorite In-N-Out that is a must for anyone who hasn't tried it before. So go ahead and grab a tasty lunch before continuing your Vegas trip with a full tank.

When you're planning out a Las Vegas itinerary, it's pretty much obligatory that you go to the Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian. These upscale indoor shops transport you straight to Venice, Italy. Including a recreation of the famous canal complete with working gondolas and singing gondoliers to operate them.

As for your foliage needs, you'll want to head over to the Bellagio Conservatory where hundreds of horticulturists arrange thousands of flowers into the most beautiful botanical arrangements in the city. Inspired by various happenings around the world, the Bellagio Conservatory is totally free and is a sight that you must see to believe.

OK, we’re hopping over to another country in Las Vegas land, and this time it’s for dinner and some pre-show action. Dinner on the patio at Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas is obligatory. This quaint French café serves up authentic French meals and offers an incredible dining experience. As you’re sipping on bubbly and replenishing your energy reserves, turn your attention to stage west, a.k.a. The Bellagio Fountains . With Performances every 15 minutes beginning at 8 p.m. and ending at midnight, this ultra popular free Las Vegas attraction can be the entertainment to your meal if you schedule your hunger pangs accordingly. Front row seats to the fountains, drool-worthy dishes, and prime people watching – this is what we like to call the Las Vegas dinnertime trifecta.

Partake in The Famous Vegas Nightlife

Once your food digests and you hit your second wind, head over to one of the dozens of fantastic shows on The Strip. Las Vegas has a show for every audience that ranges from hilarious family-friendly magicians to the spiciest of adult entertainment with plenty of options in between. So no matter who you're visiting Sin City with, our live shows are the perfect way to spend an evening out on the town.

Your final mission, should you choose to accept it, is to keep the party going until you leave the tarmac in a bloodshot state. Scratch that dancing itch with the rest of the beautiful party-goers at one of our ultra-famous nightclubs. Omnia inside Caesars Palace is one of our favorites, but there are plenty of other nightlife options both on and off the Strip where you can lose yourself in the heart-pumping music until your evening blurs into that sparkling Vegas abyss. If you don’t see the sunrise when you leave, you probably didn’t do your Vegas vacation right.

DAY ONE VEGAS TRIP PLANNER MUST-DOS

Vegas trip: day two.

Well, check you out, you lived to tell the tale of your first day in Sin City, and you’re ready to start the second day of your Las Vegas itinerary. Since you’ve already gotten a good taste of the Strip, day two is taking us to the place where Sin City got its start: Downtown on Fremont Street .

What used to be a small, whistle-wetting pit stop for cowboys passing through has become a neon-lit adult fantasy world. Like the champ it is, Fremont Street holds its reputation for being the best in the West for its undeniable good-time allure. Hosting guests in hotels of yesteryear while keeping up with the current century through modern upgrades and entertainment, Downtown Las Vegas remains the most eclectic and authentic part of the city to date. You can spend the whole day strolling down Fremont Street, soaring above the action on SlotZilla , or just parking it on a bench to people watch and enjoy the free entertainment provided by the Fremont Street Experience.

Once you get your fill of Las Vegas’ past, head back towards the Strip for more of what you can’t find anywhere else. If you dare (and we’re triple dog daring you), take the 829-foot plunge via The Sky Jump at The STRAT for an ultimate adrenaline rush. Don’t worry, you’re completely harnessed into the controlled fall, but we promise that jumping off this tower is a total rush. However, if you prefer the safer side of things, you can also take in the killer 360 views on the Skypod Observation Deck .

A Vegas Trip Needs Some Souvenirs

Need some time for that adrenaline to wear off? Bust out the plastic, because it’s time for some retail therapy. Fashion Show Mall is a great place to chill, grab a bite, and get your wardrobe on point. Loaded with 250 shops, 8 department stores, and 25 food options, this shopping oasis will make sure you go home with some sexy Vegas swag. The best part is, Fashion Show Mall features some of our favorite Las Vegas Strip attractions like Shaq's Fantasy Lab . So if your crew is about to make "shop till you drop" happen, step inside this one-of-a-kind immersive experience for a much-needed break and unique endeavor.

Dinner and Cocktails - Vegas Style

Look at the time; you should probably get cleaned up for a night on the town to finish off the second day of your Las Vegas trip. You’ll start with pre-dinner drinks at the Chandelier Bar . at The Cosmopolitan. You can’t miss it, it’s draped in crystal and takes up three floors of the property and oh yeah - looks like a massive chandelier. Each level of this bar has its own menu with varied drinks created by the on-property mixologist. Take it from us, try the Verbena. You chew on a Szechuan button and feel a few crazy sensations on your tongue as you drink this super yummy cocktail. A perfect pre-dinner indulgence, these special drinks will give you a new cocktail experience and get you ready for your main course. We recommend Secret Pizza for an old-school laid back vibe or STK if you're craving the flavors of an upscale, modern steakhouse.

Enjoy Out of This World Vegas Entertainment

Now that your stomach stopped growling, it’s time to be entertained. Cirque du Soleil is a Las Vegas staple, and we can’t wait to see your face after watching these must-see productions. Since there are several Cirque shows to choose from, you've got your work cut out for you when it comes to choosing just one for your Las Vegas itinerary – but just know that there is no wrong choice with these fantastic, high-flying shows. From stunning high dives into sparkling waters with “O” at Bellagio to tribute shows celebrating pop music idols, the sheer acrobatics and storytelling power of these Vegas spectacles will blow away.

If you want a taste of more Las Vegas nightlife, but your feet are still sore from your previous dancefest, we recommend getting off the Strip to visit Area15 . Congrats! You’ve made it to your third day in Las Vegas and you deserve some hard-earned rest and relaxation. Of course, this day will still be packed with excitement, but it’ll be a little less like Black Friday shopping and a lot more like a Jimmy Buffet song.

Get Out Into Nature

One thing about Las Vegas that most visitors neglect is the fact that there’s plenty of fun to be had off the Strip. This is not a joke, people travel from all over the world to get their rock climbing and hiking fix within the enormous expanse of Red Rock Canyon or the iconic Grand Canyon that's just a car ride, bus, or helicopter ride away from Sin City. Whether you drive yourself or opt for one of our Grand Canyon Tours , the most important part is that you get yourself to the Canyon well before sundown.

Finish Strong with a Stellar Vegas View

Bring your camera to capture and preserve beautiful memories. A government-issued photo ID is required for all flight tours. Other helpful things to bring are beverages with a screw-on cap, sunscreen, sunglasses and cash or credit cards if you’re planning to purchase anything such as souvenirs!

What should we wear?

We recommend comfortable walking shoes, and, for the summer months, wear sunblock and hats for protection. Dressing in layers is also suggested as summer monsoon storms are common. For the winter months, dress in warm clothing.

Attitudes to vacation budgets vary. There’s always someone with no limitations and assumes the same for the rest of the gang. The one who goes ahead and reserves a table at a Michelin-starred restaurant because they saw the seafood tower on Instagram. Then you have the over-thrifty friend who insists on going “the fun way” via connecting buses rather than taking a convenient high-speed train. And let’s not even get into those “no big deal” bros, so chill they see no rush in paying back—ever.

With so much to consider on any vacation, let alone on a bachelor party, festival weekend, or family reunion, taking financial stress out of the equation means you’ll focus more on the whole point of the trip: making cherished memories together.

We’ve rustled up six easy steps, approved by industry experts , to help take you there.

Outline a rough budget for the whole vacation

There’s no good getting people to agree to a trip, then pulling out later upon realizing they can’t afford it. At the onset, there needs to be a ballpark figure. “Calculate an estimate before invites are sent. Look up prices of accommodation in the desired area, add the expected cost of a flight, and factor in daily expenses,” explains Evelyn Lee, Truist regional president for DC and Baltimore. “There’s a big difference between a $600 trip and a $2,000 per person resort vacation. Your guests need to know if it’s something within their means.”

Let each person pay for flights and accommodation upfront

Since flights and accommodation usually take up the biggest portion of a trip budget, have everyone pay individually. This lifts the financial burden off the organizer and allows guests to spread the cost of the upcoming event, as well as earn points or miles. “Americans typically book flights four months in advance,” notes Simon Hawkins, head of Virgin Atlantic , Americas. “By the time a trip rolls around, they’ve seen approximately eight paychecks rebalance their accounts. Vacations are a lot more enjoyable when payments are anticipated and planned for rather than coming out as huge chunks at the end.”

Discuss the group's priorities

Kylie residency or vineyard tour? Have a conversation with the group regarding needs and wants, and how you want to get there. “Prioritize a top activity your whole clan wants to partake in, then let the secondary activities be optional,” says Jeremy Dalkoff, VP Partnerships, Priority Pass Americas. “For example, some members might want to do an excursion while others stay behind and go to the spa. Allowing individuals to spend their budget how they please helps dodge holiday conflict.”

Decide on a food and drink plan

Food and drinks are one of the trickiest expenses, especially when it comes to dietary preferences and restrictions—to say nothing of budget. “Most high-end restaurants allow guests to pay their bills separately,” says Sarah Street, MD of Street & Co . “But that may not be the case in casual eateries. Apps like Splitwise track what each person owes, and can be useful when it comes to settling up at the end of the trip. Otherwise, try Monzo for splitting costs (equally or specifying the amount) and paying together.”

Take turns with rideshares

Uber, which allows split fares, doesn’t operate in every country. “The best thing to do is to take turns rather than fumble with change every journey. Providing each is roughly the same distance,” advises Jeremy Dalkoff. “But make a note of each total, and anyone that’s paid a vast sum more can be repaid by Venmo .”

At the end of the trip, check in on the party

“On the group chat, check in on everyone at the end,” concludes Evelyn Lee. “Some people may be shy in speaking up, as finances are an awkward subject. Give them a helping hand with a group message that asks if everyone’s expenses have been settled. You may be all square, but it’s courtesy to make sure everyone else is, too.”

Hi guys, can anyone suggest some ideas for a pool day that’s not super chilled but also not as intense as encore, wet republic etc?

We will have a group of about 30 for a wedding with the age ranging between 9 months and 65 years of age.

If you are guests, getting free seats together for 30 people will be just about impossible. Unless you rent a cabana. Or…four cabanas.

Stadium pool @ Circa could be a good fit for you, check it out.

The 9 month old isn’t getting in to Circa. Much less the pool.

The Colorado River has eroded the canyon over the course of the last six million years, exposing over two billion years of the Earth’s geological history. The Grand Canyon sits at the heart of a National Park, brimming with great hikes and outdoor activities.

As it winds out of the Grand Canyon, the Colorado River meets the Hoover Dam – one of the world’s most impressive feats of engineering. Taking more than five years to build and opened in the late 1930s, the 725ft dam was first conceived as a way of controlling flooding but is now a major source of power for the states of Nevada and Arizona.

Death Valley

Heading towards California from the Hoover Dam, within three hours you’ll reach Death Valley – at almost 300ft below sea level, it’s the lowest point of elevation in North America, and has an extreme microclimate. In July 1913, a temperature of 56.7C was recorded here, which remains a world record. Temperatures regularly reach the high forties in the summer, so bring plenty of water and sunscreen if you plan on jumping out of your air-conditioned car for a selfie or two!

Sequoia National Forest

Just over a hundred miles the other side of Death Valley, you’ll hit the breathtaking Sequoia National Forest, filled with Giant Sequoias - the largest tree on Earth. The tallest specimen in the forest, General Sherman, is 275ft tall and thought to be between 2,500 and 3,000 years old.

Los Angeles

Journeying south from Sequoia, you’ll soon find yourself in America’s second-largest city. There’s a lot more to LA than the glitz and glamour of Hollywood – it has some of the country’s best beaches, several elite sports teams, and is a cultural melting pot with cuisines from all four corners of the world. The Griffith Observatory is a leading centre for space research and its giant Zeiss telescope is free for the public to use every evening – but make sure to book a slot.

Extending for almost 450 miles along California’s rugged Pacific coastline, Highway 1 links Los Angeles to San Francisco and is an essential part of any West Coast road trip. There’s about eight hours of driving involved, so if you’re travelling as a group and aiming to get through it in one day, make sure you take turns behind the wheel.

As you leave LA behind, you’ll pass through plush beachfront neighbourhoods like Malibu and Santa Barbara, the adoptive home of Harry and Meghan, before reaching ‘Big Sur’, a 100-mile stretch of wild and uninhabited mountain ranges that has been designated a State Park. Parts of the highway in this area are literally cut into cliff-faces overhanging the sea, offering dramatic views. At the other end, you’ll pass along the beachfront at Monterey Bay and cut through the redwood forests of Big Basin State Park before reaching San Francisco.

San Francisco

California’s second city has a unique character. Its grid system of streets is set on hilly terrain, so a simple stroll around town means trekking up some steep inclines – unless you catch the iconic tram that runs between Powell Street and Fisherman’s Wharf, and has changed little in over 100 years.

San Fran is packed with things to do. Top sights include the Golden Gate Bridge, the ‘Painted Ladies’ (a row of colourfully-painted Victorian houses) and the Transamerica Pyramid, a quirky skyscraper with an unusual design aimed to steady it against earthquakes. Just offshore is the notorious Alcatraz prison, which is now an open-air museum and can be reached by ferry from Pier 33 on the city’s seafront.

California’s Wine Country

Cross over the Golden Gate Bridge and head around an hour north, and you’ll find yourself in America’s answer to Tuscany. Napa Valley is California’s ‘Wine Country’, with over 1,700 vineyards and a burgeoning reputation for quality. Its climate and soils are ideal for cultivating grapes of many kinds, but the speciality here is in rich red wines. California produces more than 80 per cent of American wine, and the heart of that industry is right here. You can take it all in from a hot air balloon tour over the valley, if you’re not afraid of heights!

Yosemite National Park

Looping back towards Vegas, your next port of call is Yosemite National Park, a jaw dropping wilderness and the second-oldest National Park in the US after Yellowstone. Its steep-sided valleys, enormous waterfalls and forests are impressive at any time of year, but visitors in the Autumn will be treated to one of nature’s great spectacles as the leaves turn to various hues of gold, yellow and red.

…and finish off in Las Vegas

Before flying home, stay in Vegas for a few days and see what the self-styled ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’ has to offer. If casinos aren’t for you, why not visit one of the largest aquariums in North America, check out Vegas’ answer to the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty and the Sphinx of Giza, and then take it all in from the top of the world’s largest observation wheel – which is particularly impressive after dark, as the city lights up.

Brisbane Lions star Cameron Rayner has hit back at the coverage of the off-season trip that overshadowed the club last month.

Rayner was one of 10 players on the post-season holiday to the United States which made headlines after a WhatsApp group chat was seen by one player’s partner.

The Herald Sun reported one of the players accidentally uploaded the group chat to iCloud on his Apple phone, before it was accessed on a shared device by his partner back home.

The player’s partner is then said to have shared the messages with other partners who became enraged with what was unfolding on the trip in November.

Some players reportedly went home early as a result, with one player and his partner breaking up .

It reportedly led to a rift within the playing group and with the club starting the season 0-3, saw an intense spotlight put on the 2023 Grand Final runner up.

The club has responded emphatically since by defeating North Melbourne and Melbourne and Rayner said the coverage had been way over the top.

“There’s been a little bit of mayo put on the whole thing,” Rayner said on Brisbane’s B105 Breakfast show, Stav, Abby & Matt .

“It’s been blown out of proportion. As a group … it’s brought us closer if anything and you know, I feel like we’ve responded really well.

“Everything goes quiet when you’re playing good footy, so we just need to keep doing that.

“We get to do whatever we want in our off time so we shouldn’t have to respond to critics or respond to anyone over there.”

Rayner speaking out on the saga comes after Jules Neale spoke publicly about the fallout from the end of season scandal .

Neale, whose husband is Lions co-captain Lachie Neale, described her marriage as “solid”.

Lachie Neale, a two-time Brownlow Medal winner, was among the players involved in the off-season trip.

She told The Sunday Mail : “Every relationship has different pressures, it’s important to keep the outside noise out, in any relationship regardless of it being in the public eye, unfortunately, it’s inevitable that people are going to have their own opinion.

“I think Lachie and I have a really solid relationship, which is all that really matters.”

Jules also addressed the team spirit across the Brisbane Lions group of so-called WAGs, describing the group as “close”.

“We all have great relationships, however a lot of people forget that the club is just a fraction of our lives, so we all have great friendships and lives outside of this as well,” she said.
