The LEKI Voyager hiking pole features our PAS V1 GRIP. It’s a simple handle with a PA security system. It stands out for its strength and longevity.

LOCK SECURITY STRAP SOFT 2.0

The soft strap on the LEKI Voyager is an ultra-light, very breathable strap and thus offers maximum comfort with minimum weight.

ALUMINIUM HTS 6.0

Aluminium HTS (Highest Treated Shaft) 6.0.

The fine internal adjustment system guarantees maximum holding force. With its 360° anti-reverse safety device, it also guarantees optimum stability.

Head for the hills and crush the miles with the Leki Voyager trekking pole. It’s strong, light and reasonably priced and has good performance, so why did I choose the Leki Voyager?

Why Leki Voyager?

Getting prepared for my first thru-hike of the South Downs Way I wanted a trekking pole that was strong, light and comfortable while also not offending the wallet. I went into Cotswold Outdoor and tested a couple of their poles and the Leki Voyager was the lightest and most comfortable one they had while also having good strength and using a clip release system to adjust the height of the shaft. The clip release system is far more reliable than a twist adjust mechanism, there’s less to break and it’s quicker too.

How did it ride?

It was fine for added propulsion up steep slopes and for added balance and stability on snow.

Why only one?

At the time of purchase, I was very into saving as much weight as I could where possible and I didn’t fully understand the benefits of using two trekking poles. I’d only use it when the going got rough on uneven terrain or if I needed that extra support on longer hikes. Since then I’ve switched to a pair of Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Cork trekking poles because they’re much lighter and I won’t go back to using just one in the future. The benefits of using two are far greater, offering full propulsion and stability while putting your body under less strain and being able to crush way more miles.

Value for money

At just £25 each they’re a very reasonably priced performance trekking pole with good build quality and a comfortable grip.

my 1st leki

This is my 1st pair of Leki, and I gotta say that I am very satisfied of its performance. I also love that it is easy to adjust to any length according to my hike. The straps around my hands are also adjustable. The asking price works wonderfully for me budget. I would love to see a shorter collapsed version though, so I can put them in my suitcase. This is the only con that I can think of.
