By far the majority of people travelling between Heathrow and Central London for layover sightseeing use the London Underground, by far the cheapest transport option as well as taking you direct to the sights themselves.

Underground trains leave Heathrow about every 5 minutes throughout the day between about 5.30am and midnight, (slightly shorter times on Sundays).

As a guideline for the London airports, allow approx. 40 minutes to clear Immigration and Customs to begin your tour. Check in for flights to Europe is at least one and a half hours before your scheduled departure time and two hours for long haul flights. Trina provided excellent recommendations on our proposed itineraries and the timing associated with each day trip. The airport shuttle service was top notch and the transition from pickup to hotel drop off was easy. We utilized the service for three separate day tours and it could not have been better. Zaf was our driver for two of the three days and provided excellent background information as we toured the countryside. He also recommended a short visit to the Cotswolds we had not planned but it was well worth the extra time. I highly recommend utilizing this service over a coach tour due to the professionalism of the drivers and their ability to adapt to your schedule. English countryside and London - 9 days

My adult daughter and I had 9 days to cover as much as we could in England but, being Americans, neither of us was willing to drive on the left-hand side of the road so we found Airport Express. Zaf was our drive/guide. He was friendly, helpful, a safe driver and considerate of our needs and interests. His van was spotless, stocked with water and umbrellas. He even provided a jacket when the weather turned cooler than expected. Zaf obliged as photographer and tried to take us through the most scenic areas enroute to stops we wanted to visit. I was very pleased with Trina at Airport Express who guided some of our touring decisions and Zaf's suggestions on getting to places we wanted to see. London Tour and other Travel

We did a Day tour of London with a private driver and it was great!! The Vehicle was nice, and clean. The driver (Zaf) was on time, friendly and knowledgeable, and delivered us a great day. We saw as much as London and the best attractions possible in a one day (8 hour) trip. Additionally, we used this service to get us to your Cruise Ship in South Hampton, back to the Airport after the Cruise, and for a Quick trip from the Airport Hotel to London. The Driver (Shiraz) was on time, the vehicle was clean, and we were delivered safely and on time to all locations. AMAZING DRIVER AND COMPANY. BETTER THAN ANY OTHER IN ENGLAND

We were having difficulty locating a driver to take us to various places in England when luckily we found ADLG. We emailed them and asked if they could take us to several places in a two day period. Not a problem. The vehicle was immaculate and spacious. We had four adults and some of our trips were very long. We loved our driver as he was knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs. Don't waste your time with a London Taxi when you can have a great Mercedes SUV and a driver who knows England inside and out. Great Tour of Bath and Cotswold

Went to London for a week with husband and friends. We decided to take a day trip out to bath and Cotswolds but did not want to be on a bus tour. Airport expressed was recommended to us and we were very pleased with service. Making the arrangements were very simple and we did it all online and through email. On the day of our tour a Mercedes van was waiting for us. Zef was our driver. He was so friendly and outgoing. He took us to all the places we wanted to see and made some very good recommendations for lunch. We had a fantastic day. I would absolutely recommend airport express. They will not disappoint.

Fantastic service - very professional

I hired Airport Express for a two day, private tour of gardens including one overnight stay. With very short notice, Trina manage to arrange a driver. He was truly fantastic. Cliffs of Dover, Seven Sisters, Beachy Head

Our driver picked us up and explained we had to get going right away. Good thing! Long day driving in the car from our hotel in London city center to Cliffs of Dover. Short walk to breath taking views! Next stop Seven Sisters. Again, a short walk, quickly, the sun sets at 4pm! Again, breath taking views! Next stop, Beachy Head, up the grass hill to see more amazing views! We visited in early December, so there were not a lot of tourists around, also the weather was fabulous for our photos. Our driver was fabulous, pointing out interesting items along the way. Thank you Driver Zaf for a fabulous day! We could have spent hours at each location exploring and hiking, but then we would not have had time for the other stops, which we really wanted to see. Our entire day was 10 hours, probably not enough time, but with the sun setting at 4pm, we made the most of our day! Transfer from London hotel to Dover port

We were so glad we had booked this transfer. The driver and car were at the hotel a bit ahead of the appointed hour. The car was spotlessly clean and the driver was very pleasant. It was a hassle-free way to get ourselves and our luggage to the port in comfort! We'd heard of back-ups at the port due to work slow-downs and contacted Airport Express for more information. They replied promptly, gave us current, accurate information to ensure we were at the port in good time for our cruise. Best way to see the countryside at your convenience!

Avoid the crowds and tedium of public transit by hiring this car service. We used it to take us through the Cotswolds from London for the day. It was convenient and comfortable. Amazing Service!!

We can't thank you enough-our transfer to/from the airport o the port of Dover was perfect! We were met promptly at the airport! Our driver was kind enough to let us stop to grab a quick dinner-which was greatly appreciated. On our return, our same driver took us on a tour to Leeds and Canterbury-which were both amazing! Our driver once again allowed us to take a quick meal break before bringing us to our airport hotel. He was quite knowledgable and kind! Two day private touring

Visiting london on our way to barcelona.

Having our connecting flight in London from the States on our way to Barcelona, we decided to delay our connection for a 4 hour tour of London. Zaf met us in Heathrow airport for a great day in London. We took in many of the famous sites including time to walk through Harrods. The ride was comfortable and Zaf was very informative--highly recommend doing this if you can! Excellent service and entertaining driver to Bath, Stonehenge and Lacock

We hired them to pick us up early from our London hotel (7am) and drive our small family group of 4 to Bath, Stonehenge and Lacock. Zaf was our driver and he was excellent. He drove swiftly and safely. We were in a wonderful roomy Mercedes mini-van, very clean and very comfortable. We stopped by Stonehenge first and he told us where he'd be waiting for us, since it was early in the morning, crowds were low and we got great pictures. We visited Lacock next and got to see several other small villages driving there. We also had lunch at Lacock. Zaf answered all our questions about the area. After Lacock we headed to the Roman Baths in Bath and he dropped us off as close as he could and told us where he'd be parked. He also gave us his phone number to call him if we decided to leave sooner. After visiting the baths, he drove us to the Roman Circus, where many of the Romans who used the Baths many years ago lived. He was knowledgeable and interesting, but he was also quiet when we napped! It was a long drive from London to Bath and then returning. Upon return, we ran into an accident and travel was really backed up. He knew where to get off the main highway and take other roads so we didn't waste our evening sitting in traffic. We were so appreciative of Zaf! When he dropped us off at our hotel, I forgot my coat in the back of the van and when I called a few minutes later, he brought it right back! I have used other travel services in many other cities, but I've never been as pleased as with this company and this drive. Just excellent! Highly recommended for private tour

We booked a car for a half-day trip to Stonehenge. Our driver called a few minutes before our scheduled meet-up time to confirm and arrived on time. He provided lots of info about various sights along the way and even suggested visiting Salisbury which we hadn't planned. He called ahead to ensure that the Cathedral and Magna Carta exhibit would be open. We were so glad he recommended Salisbury - we would've missed seeing some amazing things otherwise. He also was flexible with our dropoff location as we were running behind schedule due to our extra stop. He even showed us a few other interesting sights on the way. Very informative & personable. We really enjoyed our trip.
