Hamburg is an arrival and departure point for many cruise ships on their way to Northern Europe. This includes cruises to Norway and the Norwegian fjords, as well as Scandinavia and the Baltic. Hamburg’s port is an important hub for the cruise industry. Due in large part to the Hamburg Cruise Center, the Hanseatic City of Hamburg is now a popular cruise destination. Cruise ships can dock at any of several nearby docks. The port of Hamburg has two terminals for cruise guests, and both are conveniently placed near the heart of the city. The Hamburg Cruise Center in HafenCity and the Hamburg Cruise Center in Altona are the two locations where cruises depart and arrive.

Hamburg, Germany

Hamburg’s Maritime Circle Line shuttle service connects the city’s major maritime landmarks, making it the ideal way to see the city and learn about its rich history and culture. The International Maritime Museum is one place you should spend some time at in greater depth since it houses the largest collection of model ships and other artifacts pertaining to the navigation of the oceans throughout its ten levels.

The St. Michaeliskirche is one of the many magnificent historic churches in Hamburg. Outside of that, Miniatur-Wunderland is a great spot for adults to act like kids again because it has wonderful model railways and miniature mountain sceneries.

Rare wildlife

Norway is a place where you can see whales, dolphins and many seabirds. The best time for spotting whales above the Arctic Circle is in January.

From the White-tailed Eagles above, to the nomadic reindeer on land and whales along the coast, Norway is home to a wealth of wildlife. In winter, humpbacks and orcas can be spotted in the waters north of Tromsø. From late May to mid-September, spot sperm and minke whales, and see 15 different bird-of-prey species including falcons, osprey and buzzards.
