The adaptive cruise control uses radar technology to pick up cars in front of your truck. It uses sensors to track the speed they're moving and then adjusts itself accordingly.

The more sophisticated adaptive cruise control (ACC) enhances the conventional cruise control system by adjusting the vehicle’s speed to match the car ahead, which is excellent for highway cruising and avoiding collisions.

Ram Trucks with Adaptive Cruise Control

#1 ram 1500.

Full-size light-duty pickup trucks are an American favorite.

The hotly contested segment has several frontrunners, like Ford F-150 , Ram 1500, and Toyota Tundra – all with adaptive cruise control or the older and more basic cruise control.

Mostly hybrid powertrain equipped, Ram 1500 models have had cruise control as a standard provision since 2013; 2011 and 2012 Ram 1500s did not have cruise control in the lowest trim.

No Ram 1500 model years have adaptive cruise control, however.

#2 Ram 2500

With more payload and towing capacity than the Ram 1500, the Ram 2500 is the logical step up for greater strength to shoulder heavier loads.

Although rival makes have similar heavy-duty offerings, the 2500 is a compelling choice for work and leisure as Ram trucks are some of the most livable daily drivers .

Except for the 2011 model, all Ram 2500 models have cruise control as a standard provision; no Ram 2500 has adaptive cruise control.

This Ram truck also has the Power Wagon variant with enhanced off-road capability.

#3 Ram 3500

The Ram 3500 is the American automaker’s most extreme heavy-duty truck, with massive towing and hauling capacities.

It competes with Ford F-350, GMC Sierra 3500HD, and Chevy Silverado 3500HD, although the Ram 3500’s comfortable seat and relatively quiet cabin are massive pluses.

All Ram 3500 heavy-duty trucks have the cruise control system as standard, regardless of the near-limitless configurations to meet various needs.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: We Find Out if Less Is More

Is the refreshed ram 1500's smaller engine actually an improvement.

  • The old 5.7L V8 is out, replaced by a twin-turbo straight six-cylinder engine with two power outputs.
  • New looks and new tech for 2025, including a new hands-free Level 2+ driving system.
  • A new Tungsten trim tops the Ram 1500 lineup.

After Ford and Chevy recently updated their full-size pickup trucks, it was only a matter of time before Ram followed suit. Now those updates have finally arrived with the debut of the 2025 Ram 1500 . Highlights include slight exterior styling tweaks, some new technology features and a modestly updated cabin. There's even a new top-spec trim level called Tungsten, and it's as luxurious as a pickup can get. But the biggest news for the 2025 Ram 1500 isn't what is being added — it's what's being taken away. 

What's under the Ram 1500's hood?

And what's departing is two cylinders. The stalwart 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is gone and the TRX has been discontinued along with its supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that it borrowed from Dodge's Hellcat vehicles. That means all of the 2025 Ram 1500's engine options will top out at six cylinders. We won't miss the old V8 all that much, as it had gruff power delivery and clunky engagement and didn't deliver sufficient power compared to its rivals. But nobody will accuse the new 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, dubbed "Hurricane," of lacking any grunt.

The new inline-six will come in two outputs, a standard version producing 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque and a High Output version making 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Both engines offer more power than the old V8's 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The base engine will remain the 3.6-liter V6 with a mild hybrid system, but that will only be offered on the bottom two trim levels (Tradesman and Big Horn/Lone Star).

How does the Ram 1500 drive?

We had a chance to drive both of the Hurricane variants on the street, and the lower-output version on an off-road course and while towing a 7,300-pound trailer. Both engines performed flawlessly, taking on everything we threw at them with relative ease. The Hurricane engines use two smaller turbochargers, each feeding three cylinders, instead of one larger turbo, and that eliminates turbo lag for the most part. While in Sport mode the engines are especially responsive (there's a hint of throttle lag in Normal), getting into their powerband quickly. The High Output is arguably overqualified for street driving. To add some perspective, it makes more horsepower and torque than the Ford F-150 Raptor's 3.5L turbocharged V6 (450 hp, 510 lb-ft) — a bit of trivia your Ford friends will love to hear about.

We navigated the off-road course and the towing test with Ram 1500s equipped with the standard-output engine, a decision that showed the company's faith in the standard Hurricane and not just the High Output version. Power delivery in the muddy, slick conditions was very easy to modulate. With the transfer case set to 4WD Lo, the engine put out consistent, predictable power that made it easy to climb hills at a smooth and safe rate. 

The 7,300-pound Airstream trailer hooked up behind the Ram 1500 was also easily managed. Our route was pretty flat, so we'll have to see how the engine does going up larger grades, but it navigated the roads in Texas Hill Country with ease, providing confident acceleration with a transmission capable of grabbing the proper gear. 

After a day with the new straight-sixes, I didn't find myself missing the V8 at all except for one way: the noise. There's nothing that sounds like a V8, but I'll trade those auditory delights for the better performance of these new engines in a heartbeat. We're just waiting for one more key bit of info: fuel economy. Ram says those estimates will be available closer to the truck's on-sale date in March 2024.

How comfortable is the Ram 1500?

Unsurprisingly, it's an extremely comfortable truck to drive around. Most of our day was spent in the new Tungsten trim, reveling in its new 24-way adjustable front seats with massage functions. Those seats (nay, thrones) were exceedingly comfortable and supportive, with even the headrests offering four-way adjustments.

Our test vehicle was also equipped with the air suspension, and we've previously found the Ram 1500's setup to be the most composed and comfortable among full-size trucks. That hasn't changed. You can still tell you're driving a big truck around with some body roll present at every corner, but road imperfections are dismissed with impunity and the ride quality for this segment remains top-notch.

How's the Ram 1500's interior?

Because this is just a refresh, the inside of the 1500 hasn't changed too much; the general layout of the interior is very similar to the pre-refresh 1500. But, just to make sure the 1500 keeps up with the Joneses, there is a new (optional) 10.25-inch passenger screen on higher trims, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a larger center touchscreen display offered — up to 14.5 inches. That's a nice bump from the old Ram's 12-inch display, which remains the dominant size in the mid to upper trim levels. A new row of permanent buttons on the touchscreen replaces a few functions that previously had dedicated physical controls (such as the height selection for models with the air suspension). The climate controls, however, still have both digital and redundant physical buttons down the side of the screen, a design we endorse.

How's the tech?

All the tech you'd expect of a modern pickup is present and accounted for in the 1500. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect wirelessly, and a vast number of USB ports (both A and C) are all standard. A full color head-up display is optional. A number of advanced driver aids, like forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, blind-spot warning, and a digital rearview mirror, are available for extra coin. The current Ram 1500 offers adaptive cruise control, but the 2025 model takes it one step further. Now available is what Ram is calling Hands-Free Active Driving Assist, a Level 2+ semi-autonomous driving system. The system offers the capability of hands-off driving at freeway speeds and lane centering on approved roadways. Ram tells us that it currently has 125,000 miles mapped, enough to cover the vast majority of major interstates throughout the country. But it has a ways to go to catch up to the 750,000 miles of roadways that GM has mapped for its Super Cruise system. The Ram system comes with three free years of use but will require a subscription after that

Turning the system on is incredibly simple: You hit a button on the steering wheel and then set the speed. Green lights in the cluster and an icon let you know that the system is in hands-free mode and a small camera on top of the steering column watches the driver's eyes to make sure the driver is paying attention. We've had extensive experience with the other currently available Level 2+ systems and this new one fits right in with the best of them. It turns on quickly and does a great job of staying on, and it also alerts the driver effectively when you need to retake control via subtle seat vibrations and chimes. Lane changes can also be done autonomously via a bump of the turn signal, and those are executed smoothly (as are accelerating and braking).

What is the 2025 Ram 1500's pricing?

The 2025 Ram 1500 will be offered in these trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited, Limited Longhorn and Tungsten. The Tungsten model joins the Ram lineup as the new top-spec truck for 2025. The Tungsten offers a new Sea Salt and Indigo color scheme that I loved. It features vast amounts of leather, including on the window pillars and headliner. Many cows died to make this interior — many cows. There's also a new, very impressive 23-speaker Klipsch audio system, dual wireless chargers and metal pedals. The Tungsten also gets a new molded front bumper instead of a more traditional steel one. The Ram 1500 already offered the best cabins of any of the full-size pickups and the Tungsten just takes it to another level.

It also takes the Ram's pricing to another level, with the Tungsten starting at $89,150 (including a $1,995 destination charge). The prices for all of the trims have gone up with this redesign:

Tradesman: $42,270

Big Horn/Lone Star: $46,930

Laramie: $62,025

Rebel: $66,190

Limited: $77,150

Limited Longhorn: $77,645

The Rebel and Laramie both feature the Hurricane engine standard, with the High Output engine standard on Limited and above. In case you're wondering why the Rebel isn't offered with the High Output engine, there's another Ram 1500 variant, dubbed the RHO (perhaps Rebel High Output?), due late in 2024, and it will likely remedy that omission.

Edmunds says

The only thing we'll miss from the old V8 is the sound because the new six-cylinder engines perform better on the street, while off-road, and even while towing. Plus the interior on the new Tungsten trim is so swanky, luxury automakers should take notes.

Hi there. 2022. Laramie or limited Can you add adaptive cruise afterwards and lane assist? I’m sure it’s been talked about. Anybody have a link to that sections? thanks in advance

I don't know if someone has been completely successful as I was interested and quickly lost interest when I saw the parts needed, the time involved, and the price tag. I don't follow those threads any more but you can search this forum, ramforum.com, and 5thgenrams.com. The last forum listed is very active with 5th gen owners and probably has the most info. My dad has both on his Limited and, while I like the ACC (when I want), I am not a fan of the lane assist - way to sensitive for my taste. Cost and time wasn't worth the benefit to me. YMMV

What's New for 2020?

The most significant news for 2020 is that the optional EcoDiesel V-6 has been improved, with a lighter block, improved cylinder-head breathing, and a more efficient turbocharger. That bumps the costly diesel's output to 260 horsepower and a stout 480 lb-ft of torque, a measure by which the previous version already topped all light-duty diesel pickups; at this writing, the EPA has not yet certified the new engine but Ram says it'll be on sale by the end of 2019. Also new for 2020 is the return of the black-trimmed Night Edition on Big Horn and Laramie versions, while the off-road-oriented Rebel now includes a standard Comfort package with power tailgate release, heated rear seats and a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat. Rebels can also be had with a driver-assistance technology package that includes adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warning.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The price of the 2020 Ram 1500 starts at $29,895 and goes up to $55,410 depending on the trim and options.

We'd go for a Ram 1500 Rebel 4x4 that starts at $49,935 and add the air-spring suspension, the luxury-packed Level 2 equipment package, plus the bedliner, the Bed Utility group, and Trailer Tow group. With the standard 3.6-liter V6 with eTorque, that's an efficient, go-anywhere truck that can handle most of what life throws at it for what is, by modern pickup standards, a moderate $55,385. If you need to get to 60 mph in less than six seconds, you'll need the Hemi but now you're adding cost both at buy-in and in operation—you could easily build out a Ram 1500 with a lot more towing and hauling ability, or one with all the bells and whistles, but that's how people end up driving pickups that crest the $70,000 mark.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Among its many trim levels, there's V-6 and V-8 powertrains. Both engines are assisted by a 48-volt hybrid system, but the V-8 can be had without the electric support. The lineup also includes an optional diesel 3.0-liter V-6 (called EcoDiesel) that develops 480 lb-ft of torque, which is more than similar diesel engines on half-ton pickups from Chevy and Ford. For adventurous folk, the rugged Rebel model provides beefier looks and legitimate off-road capability. Every Ram 1500 has an impressive ride thanks to a rear suspension that uses standard coil springs or optional air springs, unlike the traditional leaf-spring setup found on domestic rivals. Models equipped with the air suspension even have adjustable ride heights that aid fuel efficiency and off-road ability. Its light steering and strong brakes provide relaxed cruising and confident stops, too.

Towing and Payload Capacity

The Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds and carry a payload of up to 2320 pounds. Its max towing capacity exceeds all but the Ford F-150, which tops out at 13,200 pounds. Rams with the crew cab—including the Rebel model—can't tow as much as the extended Quad Cab model but still exceed 11,500 pounds.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

With hybridized V-6 and V-8 engines as well as a diesel option, the 2020 Ram 1500 lineup has varied fuel economy. The EPA estimates that the most efficient V-6 Ram will earn up to 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, while the V-8 version is rated up to 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. While the EPA hasn't announced estimates for the diesel-powered Ram 1500, the Rebel model we tested earned 24 mpg on our 200-mile highway fuel-economy route. That was 6 mpg better than the gas-only V-8 Rebel and 4 mpg better than the nonhybrid V-8 Laramie we tested .

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

Inside, the 2020 Ram 1500 has supremely functional cubby stowage and cavernous passenger space. Higher trims add upscale materials and creature comforts that make the Ram feel more like a luxury vehicle than a pickup truck. Most models can be equipped with upscale features such as heated and ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof, while the fanciest versions have premium leather surfaces and genuine wood accents. As with most full-size pickup trucks, the Ram 1500's crew cab is supremely spacious. It also has vast amounts of interior storage and a unique split-folding tailgate. Both 5'7" and 6'4" cargo beds are available, but the extended Quad Cab only pairs with the latter.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Ram trucks have had one of the best infotainment systems and connectivity features in the class for a while. That continues on the latest trucks, with a responsive 8.4-inch or massive optional 12.0-inch touchscreen that is available on all but the base Ram model. The systems boast numerous power points as well as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a mobile hotspot. Thankfully, even the largest screen has physical knobs and hard buttons that complement the touch points.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

The 2020 Ram 1500 earned solid ratings form the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but it hasn't been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Anyways as the post says, has anyone added adaptive cruise to their trucks or is it just not worth the cost. I have a 2022 ram 2500 longhorn, awesome truck, but id like to add adaptive cruise if possible. It already has blind spot monitoring. Rain sense wipers, auto dim headlights and surround camera. So hopefully most of the sensors are already there? Has anyone undergone the process to do this?

I’m sure Jimmy will have a more in depth answer, but at a minimum you’re looking at the entire DASM (Driver’s Assistance System Module, which is the camera and radar), the matching windshield, the steering box with the electric assist motor, and likely a bunch of wiring, plus some AlfaOBD work, and finding someone who can/will calibrate the system. There’s probably more to it than that of course.

This one is about adding adaptive cruise control, and should be reserved to info pertaining to the installation of that feature. That way, anyone interested in adding adaptive cruise doesn’t have to weed through all the unrelated lane assist posts. [Mod: post references deleted OT posts]

Bumping this up as I've pulled part numbers up for my VIN (2022 Laramie LH) without adaptive cruise and a random VIN with ACC but the parts list has the same part numbers listed for both vehicles. Anyone have a way to decipher which part numbers are needed to add ACC?

The 2011 Ram 1500 welcomed three new trim levels in the lineup. The 2011 Ram 1500 Tradesman came as a budget-friendly workhorse, while the Outdoorsman trim appeals to campers, fishermen, hunters, and boaters through towing upgrades, off-road tires, a distinct exterior scheme, and a multi-purpose rear bench seat. The 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn comes as a comfort-oriented, upscale variant that doesn't sacrifice power and utility. For 2011, the Ram 1500's engine lineup still had the base 3.7-liter V6 (215 hp, 235 lb-ft), the 4.7-liter V8 (310 hp and 330 lb-ft), and the revered 5.7-liter Hemi V8 (390 hp, 407 lb-ft).

Very cool - thanks for this. Question: Do you have to use a Windows-based computer for the software or are you able to use a Mac? (The reason I ask is that I personally use Macs and would have to source a Windows)

I used AlfaOBD with my 2019 Ram Laramie Longhorn and had initially had it installed on my Android phone. The settings I selected wouldn't change anything so I emailed AlfaOBD and was told to use a Windows laptop. With Windows, everything worked perfectly. I'm plamning to install the ACC switch in the next few weeks.

I've gotten it successfully installed! Some tips for trouble spots I ran into that may help others. 1)Watch @PotterTRX video. Huge help and I found that an Allen wrench worked perfect. You have to push it towards the engine once it's in the hole to get it to "catch" the spring as you push in towards the spring. It took me 5 or 6 tries to recognize the feel but once I did, I could get it on the first try every time. 2) The green and white circuit boards for the two small pins on the security bypass are all the way on the left wall of the truck almost directly behind the headlight buttons. I had to contort my head to find them after looking for 10 minutes. 3)Follow @RobsTRX advice and snap the tabs off the green and white security bypass pins unless you are keeping it installed permanently. I have large hands and it would be really difficult to unclip those pins once installed without snapping off the locking tabs. 4) I followed the alfaobd steps to a tee and... error lights everywhere. Luckily, I backed up and was able to restore. Tried every possible variable combination - truck on, truck off, wait 2 minutes between steps, cycle the engine, and still kept getting error lights. After 5 restores, I finally reset the ECU as a last resort and that did the trick. You may have to reset the ECU to get the truck to recognize the new button. Just got back from testing it out. Ran on the highway and a local 35mph road and it works beautifully. Highly recommend it if you've never had adaptive cruise. Especially since RAM let's you use standard cruise or ACC. Thanks to everyone who posted great info.

I’ve got a back injury and will be getting surgery next month. Not able to do much on my own and haven’t found a shop that’s able/willing to do this.

Listen to what he has to say. You need to come threw the holes in the steering wheel at a slight angle to get them. I'm really mechanically sharp and it frustrated me. I actually used a Philips screw driver. Take your time with this project. Worst case scenario any local garage could install the switch. The programming. For a lot of us this is unchartered waters You will need to buy a OBD link MX+ and a security bypass (links below). The security bypass has 4 plugs. One gets plugged to the OBD port one has what will be your new OBD port that you will plug the OBD mx to and 2 small plugs that get plugged into 2 different circuit boards under the dash. (No worries the adapter comes with good instructions, its a snap to install) I had a fellow member tell me a good hint. Remove the tabs that hold the 2 small plugs in. (Photo below). It's not a terrible spot to get the plugs into but getting them out would be tuff and there's no reason to keep it attached after your done. You'll see this immediately as you do it. Then do not make the mistake of trying to use the software that comes with the OBD link. Like I did. You must download and buy alphaobd, link below. Its the key. Once the program is loaded follow the instructions on the alpha obd website to buy and activate the program. Easy peezy. Support is quick to respond if you have issues [email protected] . After you have activated the program go to the first tab "start" Put your vehicle information in and you will need to connect to the OBD link. Click on connect. (shown in photo1) a box comes up with the link on it. select it (photo 2) once that is done the program starts the connection to your truck and when it's good on the upper right hand side of the screen the red status will go from idle to connected Next you want to go to the tab status/faults. You want to be sure the tab save log is checked. There's nothing worse than making an error and not remembering what you changed. just below that theres 2 tabs that bring up the changes you have made (photo 3) The programming, click on the tab "active diagnostics". Its the one that has he car hood up, click on the open box and you get a drop down. Go all the way to the bottom. There are 2 important items. the first is car configuration change and ECU reset. To make the necessary changes click on car configuration changes. If you screw up and can't figure out what you did wrong by going back to the log you can use the ECU reset to start fresh (like I did 2x) (photo 4 below) When you click on car configuration you will get a search box, type in cruise control and the cruise control parameter will come up. Under that it will give you to option to turn it on or off. It will be currently on, you need click it to off (photo 5) then hit the start prompt just above it. It will tell you when it's done. Next search ACC and the adaptive cruise control will come up, change the setting to ACC with stop and go. Like before press start and the changes will be made and the program tells you when it's complete (Photo 6) Don't put the truck in drive to test it. (I have been tole the cruise has to be off before turning on the ACC) I made that mistake and it sets off the collision avoidance system. Shut it off and allow the setting to take in the computer. The program says to wait 30 sec. I actually got out and allowed the truck to go dark. Then fire it up and your ready to go. Remember if you have an issue, at the bottom of the list just under control settings is a ECU reset if you screw up. No worries. I had to do it 2X . When it's all said and done my dealer said he would do it for $175 and decided not to and waste my time. He said it's not possible. I can tell you I'm a techno nothing and got it. In any case you can do it yourself for close to that, in less time then it takes to deal with them and have the satisfaction of giving the dealer noting but the middle finger. Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

I am going to install my ACC on Friday. Quick question: Can I do it in 2 stages??? Can I do my steering wheel switch on Thursday, then do my HCU/ABS on Friday???. Is it still drivable???? Or will I need to do everything on the same day.??? Thanks for any help.

Installed ACC with a used module I got from ebay. Works great, but still need to do 1 more bleed to allow parking brake to grab better. Easiest part was swapping out steering column switch and also HCU was really easy also. Can't believe it was worried about the install after reading how tough they could be. Found a few shortcuts,that I'll post pictures of tomorrow. Wish I had know about some of my issues before I had started. But all is good. Really impressed with how well the system works. Thanks for all the info that wad posted. Would Not be able to program without it. Difficult to install New ABS MODULE and Steering column switch. 2 out of 5. Hope that helps anyone sitting on the fence.

Things i did for ACC/HCU install that helped or would have. 1. You got to wash the area your working in. Pop the hood and wash around the HCU etc.( If you get any grit in your ACC/brake lines your fcked). Pop the hood looking at the truck from the front, on the right side of the fan shroud , theres the HCU wash it. 2. Pick up caps for the lines, so you dont get grit on the threads, and it also stops fluid from coming out while your working on it. This is what I used. The red caps work for the 4 lines on top, The Blue caps work for the other 2 lines coming out the side. I took a picture of how much fluid I lost swapping the ACC/HCU over. Pull a line put a cap on it, keep moving.( also as your pulling lines and putting caps on, take the red plugs you removed earlier and put them in the HCU your pulling out. (Its going to help later). 3.If your donor HCU has Red caps covering the holes, you need to remove or loosen before you install. They are hard enough to remove when not installed, but really hard if you wait till you get it onto the truck. My Suggestion: Remove all the Red caps before installing HCU, just put a small piece of tape over each port,(which will be easy to remove as you do each line). Or loose a extra 1/2 hour by not doing it, leaning over the engine bay. Your Choice. After I changed out my HCU/ACC you can see in the picture how little fluid actually got lost. 4. If you have never worked on these type of break lines, you could get in a lot of trouble cross threading. Im 65 years old and what I found always works is to: put the line over the hole your going to put it into. If it feels like you have to pull or push it over the whole, then you need to take that pressure off before trying to start the treads. Now is the part that will make this so easy: Wiggle the line back and forth a few millimeters as you are trying to start the treads. Do this with your fingers no wrenches,, as you wiggle it and turn it by hand you will be able to get the treads started really easily. Because you are trying to thread it by using just your finger force, you wont be able to cross thread the line, plus as you wiggle it back and forth ever so slightly it will find the treaded hole so much easier. 5. My biggest worry and reason I did not do sooner, was I thought accessibility for removing HCU was going to be a *****. Once you pop the hood and wash the old HCU, you will see how easy it is to work on. Th 3 mounting bolts I believe are 13MM , 2 can be reached easily from drivers wheel well. other from underneath. The 6 lines going to the HCU and the electrical connector are best accessed ( for me anyway) from the top of the motor.( I used a small ladder to stand on when possible). 6. Remember to undo the Red clip on the harness before pulling on the white lever. ( I let it hang when I was working, as the are was nice and clean so I felt it was fine, just putting it slightly out of the way. If I had a zip tie it would have helped. 7. I pulled the HCU out of the top of the motor where I was working, its going to be hard to wiggle around the wires and everything.(But your going to be glad you put the Red plugs back in the old HCU, cause you wont have brake fluid everywhere. Sorry for the long write up, but after reading and re-reading the 60 pages, I did not find a lot of helpful information to help with what I have posted. Anyway took less than a couple hours taking my time swapping out the old to new HCU. The programming of the New ACC system and bleeding breaks was a bit of a **** show. But reading the install guide, and the other guide on installing a Used HCU and it all worked. Love the Stop and Go. Thanks to all those that made these mods possible. Jimmy etc.

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 2024 Ram 1500 Laramie w/o Adaptive cruise control. The truck does have the, Full–Speed Forward–Collision Warning Plus, Advanced, Automatic High–Beam Headlamp–Control Brake–Assist, Blind–Spot and Cross–Path Detection, Advanced Brake–Assist, ParkSense Front and Rear Park–Assist with Stop. I have been reading around the forum, there is a lot of information and it can get a bit overwhelming so I just wanted to ask if is possible to install and activate the ACC on my Truck since looks like I have some of the required modules. Any help will very much appreciated.

So I am getting a 2022 Ram 1500 Quad which only has the 5 inch screen and virtually none of the safety features. I am curious if this guide would likely work for it? I've seen some conflicting info on just upgrading the center screen so I thought I would just ask directly knowing it will probably seem like a stupid question to many.

Has anyone used JSCAN to add the ACC? or does just alpha OBD work. my truck has everything but ACC and Rain sense, so it looks like I just need the ACU ABS and the button, but the big question is if I need alpha of if my JSCAN will work

Yeah, it looks like there are a majority of them, hard part is they're not all named the same thing, but im also not sure about the ABS initialization part.
