Service Quality

We are happy to receive and respond to complaints in other languages, and will arrange for a translation service to assist where available. Where possible, we will make information on our complaints process available in other languages.

What information do I need to provide?

To help us resolve your issues as quickly as possible when you contact us, please provide us with as much relevant information as possible, including:

  • Your card number (If you write to us for security reasons please do not include your full card number. The card number should always be supplied by providing the first six and last four digits only, as follows 123456******7890. )
  • Your address
  • Your contact telephone number
  • Clear details of your complaint
  • What you would like us to do to resolve matters.

Internal Complaints Procedure When we receive a complaint, we aim to resolve your issues fairly and promptly. Where possible we will endeavour to resolve your issues as soon as reasonably possible. If we need more time to investigate your complaint, we will send you an acknowledgement letter and we will keep you updated on our progress throughout our investigation.

If we have not been able to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction once we have sent our final decision, or you would prefer independent advice, you may be entitled to refer your complaint to a local ombudsman service for investigation. Please see your terms and conditions for further information.

Disputed Transactions

It is recommended that you check your transaction history and Card balance at least once a fortnight. You can do this online, once you have registered your Card on ‘My Account’.

If you have a query about a transaction on your State Bank Multi-Currency Foreign Travel Card, please call the 24 hour Card Services team immediately (and in any event within thirty (30) days of the transaction debit date). They will be happy to check your Card and confirm the transaction details for you.

If there is a transaction which is not correct, our Card Services team can dispute this on your behalf. You will need to complete a dispute form and send it to [email protected]. You will need the latest version of the free Adobe Acrobat reader to view this form. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer, please click here to download it.

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards

If your State Bank Multi-Currency Foreign Travel Card is lost, stolen or damaged, reporting this to Card Services immediately, so they can cancel the Card, will help protect the funds on the Card.

The dedicated Card Services team is on hand to help, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If your Card goes missing, call Card Services straightaway and they will cancel it, in order to help protect your funds (subject to full compliance with the terms and conditions). The Card Services team can then make appropriate arrangements to minimise the impact on your trip, including emergency cash replacement up to the available balance on your Card (subject to availability in the relevant location).

If you notice any transactions on your State Bank Multi-Currency Foreign Travel Card that are incorrect or that you don’t recognise, please call the 24 hour Card Services helpline immediately. In addition, if you believe your PIN(s) or any other security information may have been compromised, please call Card Services.

Additional Card

In case you lose your State Bank Multi-Currency Foreign Travel Card and you have purchased an additional Card, linked to the same funds, you can still access your funds using the other Card, without having to wait for a replacement Card. Please be aware that you must still call Card Services immediately, so that they can block the lost, stolen or damaged Card.

If both your State Bank Multi-Currency Foreign Travel Cards are lost, stolen or damaged, Card Services can arrange for a replacement Card, and, if necessary, start the procedure for disputing unauthorised transactions. In an emergency situation, they may arrange for funds, up to the available balance on your Card, to be sent to you, via a global money transfer network, free of charge (subject to availability in the relevant location).

Ans. . This is a State Bank of India and Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) Ltd. co-branded prepaid card having a contactless dual interface (EMV chip) with stored value functionality for making Tap-and-go payments at Noida Metro Stations and City Buses. 

Q. How can I get the SBI NMRC CITY1 Card? What are the applicable charges?

Ans. . To get the SBI NMRC CITY1 card you just have to follow the below mentioned simple steps:

1. Visit your nearest Noida Metro station and request for the SBI NMRC CITY1 Card at the counter

2. Fill your details in the simple application form (available in Hindi as well as English) and submit it to the operator.

3. After the operator has entered the details, an OTP will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number.

4. Share the OTP for validation, Pay the card issuance fee and top-up amount to load balance on the card for usage.

Q.  What are the documents required for getting the card issued? 

Ans. . For getting the card issued, you are mandatorily required to visit your nearest metro station with one of the following OVDs (Officially Valid Documents):

i. Passport Number 

ii. Voter ID

iii. Driving License Number 

iv. NREGA Job card

v. Letter issued by the National Population Register containing details of Name, Address, or Any other document as notified by the central government in consultation with the Regulator

                        Note:  Customer can voluntary submit his/ her Aadhaar Card number" for getting the card issued.

Q. How can I use my SBI NMRC CITY1 Card at Noida metro stations?

Ans. . CITY1 Card has a unique feature with Stored Value balance which can be used at Metro as well as Buses. Transactions in off-line mode are executed from the Stored Value balance in the card. Step-by-step procedure to be followed for using CITY1 Card for Metro rides is as below:

1. Visit your nearest Noida Metro Station. Tap the card at the entry gate and as the gate opens, proceed to the platform for boarding the metro.

2. After completing the journey, tap the card again at the exit gate of destination station.

3. The fare amount for the journey undertaken will be debited from the stored value balance on the card

4. Also, passes can be loaded on the specified service area onto the card and can be used for metro rides as above. While travelling by using a pass, the fare amount for the journey will not be deducted as long as the pass is valid, as the value of pass is recovered upfront

Q. How do I check the balance available on my Metro Card?

Ans.  Visit your nearest Noida Metro Station and tap your CITY1 card on the Ticket Readers (TRs) installed at every stations. Information regarding the card balance and the last five transactions will be displayed on the screen.     

Q. How can I top-up my card? What is the Maximum and Minimum limit for topping up of card?

Ans. . You can reload the balance on your SBI NMRC CITY1 Card through one of the following modes of top-up:

i. At Noida Metro Stations: You can recharge your card by paying in cash or by using credit/debit cards at any of the Noida Metro Stations. 

ii. Through Online Channel: You can also recharge your card online by visiting the customer portal at transit.onlinesbi.com . Visit the nearest Noida Metro station and tap your CITY1 card on the Ticket Readers (TRs) installed at every stations. Information regarding the card balance and the last five transactions will be displayed on the screen. Please note that the top-up done through online payment gateway channel will be updated on the card as and when the card comes into contact with the Ticket Reader. 

Applicable charges for the topping up of card would be as mentioned below:

Q. What is threshold limit for balance on the card?

Ans. .  The threshold limit for balance on the card is a maximum of ₹ 2000 (Rupees Two Thousand Only)

Q. What should I do if my card is Stolen, Lost or Damaged?

Ans. . If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, please follow the below mentioned steps:

i. Report the information immediately at TOM Counter/Customer Portal( click here ) or SBI Contact Centre 1800 1234 / 1800 2100 (toll free) to report the loss of card

ii. The contact center executive will ask for identification details, e.g. Card Number, Mobile Number, date of birth, etc. On receipt of the information, your card will be blocked to ensure that it is not being used fraudulently by any unauthorized person. A ticket number will be sent to your registered mobile number after blocking of the card.

iii. Visit your nearest Noida metro station for Card Replacement and submit a simple request letter for the same. After ensuring that your previous card has been blocked, a fresh replacement card will be issued to you.  

Q. Where should I contact in case of any Issues or grievances related to my CITY1 Card?

Ans. You may call our 24X7 Customer Care on 1800-1234 or 1800-2100 in case of any grievances. Alternatively, you can also raise complaint on cms.onlinesbi.com (Under customer-type 'Metro Card Holders').
