Kamadaya Entertainment Corp. podrá investigar de acuerdo con la normativa correspondiente, las violaciones de cualquiera de las anteriores prohibiciones generales para el uso del Sitio Web. En www.sebastianyatra.com, nuestro compromiso es cumplir con los tiempos de entrega, por lo tanto, si el día de entrega del pedido el solicitante no está presente para recibirlo, la transportadora está autorizada para dejarlo en la portería de la dirección indicada por el solicitante.

Todos nuestros envíos se realizan de manera DAP (Delivered at place) por lo tanto, todos los impuestos que genere la importación del producto seleccionado al país requerido corren a cargo del comprador, según la ley de impuestos aplicable.

CAMBIOS Y DEVOLUCIONES

Políticas de Devolución/Retracto.

De acuerdo con el derecho de retracto consagrado en el Estatuto del consumidor, ley 1480 de 2011 en su artículo 47, el término máximo para ejercer el derecho de retracto es de 5 días hábiles contados a partir de la entrega del producto adquirido en la tienda www.sebastianyatra.com

El producto deberá devolverse en las mismas condiciones en que se recibió (incluyendo empaque, etiquetas y accesorios adicionales) a través de una de nuestras transportadoras certificadas. Los costos de transporte y los demás que conlleve a la devolución serán cubiertos por el consumidor.

En caso de que se cumplan todas las condiciones mencionadas, www.sebastianyatra.com devolverá la suma total abonada, sin que se procedan a hacer descuentos o retenciones, y el término no podrá exceder de 30 días calendarios.

Para realizar una devolución existen las siguientes formas:

  Políticas De Cambio.

Queremos que nuestros clientes estén cien por ciento (100%) satisfechos con las compras realizadas a través de nuestra página www.sebastianyatra.com , si por cualquier motivo hay una inconformidad con el producto adquirido, este se podrá cambiar en un plazo máximo de treinta (30) días, que comienzan a contar desde la fecha de recibo del producto.

Para ejercer el derecho a un cambio los productos deberán cumplir con los siguientes requisitos:

• La prenda no debe haberse usado, lavado o dañado. 
• La prenda debe conservar la etiqueta original. (sugerimos probarse las prendas antes de retirarla). 
• La prenda debe devolverse en el empaque original. 
• Debe presentarse la factura de compra o certificado de regalo.

Reclamo Por Calidad.

Siempre y cuando se verifique que se haya dado un uso correcto a las prendas adquiridas a través de nuestra web www.sebastianyatra.com y aun así presenten problemas de calidad, se reconocerá el arreglo o cambio de estas y todos los gastos en que para ello se incurra, además se reembolsaran los costos de transporte que asumió el cliente, tanto para recibir como para regresar la prenda.

Si la solicitud de garantía no fuera aceptada después de haberse evaluado por el departamento técnico debido a la falta de conformidad con las condiciones indicadas anteriormente, se informará al cliente, dentro de los quince (15) días hábiles siguientes a la fecha de reclamación para coordinar de nuevo el envío del producto, en tal caso esta se enviará con un flete por cobrar en la dirección de entrega, donde se deberá pagar a la empresa transportadora al momento de recibir el producto.

Antes de realizar un trámite de reclamo por calidad, le invitamos a consultar los motivos más comunes de rechazo de las solicitudes:

• Se excedió el tiempo límite de treinta (30) días después de haberse entregado la compra para hacer el reclamo. 
• No seguir las instrucciones de lavado y cuidado de la prenda. 
• Uso de desodorantes con químicos que decoloren las telas. 
• Uso de químicos o blanqueador en el lavado. 
• Desteñido por secado directo al sol. 
• La prenda fue alterada o modificada por el cliente y por eso su horma fue dañada. 
• El estampado, apliques o bordados fueron planchados.
• Desgaste normal de la prenda. 

Dado el caso de que www.sebastianyatra.com por error haya enviado un artículo diferente al solicitado reconoceremos el cambio asumiendo además los gastos de transporte por devolución y envíos.

Por medio de esta podrás participar mensualmente en retos pensados especialmente para los fans y usuarios, de los cuales obtendrán puntos que posteriormente serán redimidos a través de nuestra página web y según las instrucciones que sean comunicadas a través de la plataforma para cada reto en concreto. Los retos serán de acuerdo a la situación que para el momento del mismo este viviendo el Artista de manera mensual.

Cualquier persona interesada en inscribirse en la Página Web, debe ser mayor de edad, o ser mayor de 14 años y tener el consentimiento de sus padres, tutores o representantes legales, según corresponda. Hasta donde sea permitido por la Ley, al proporcionar sus Datos Personales, el usuario está autorizando a Kamadaya Entertainment Corp. para realizar el tratamiento de sus Datos Personales de acuerdo con las finalidades establecidas en su política de recolección y tratamiento de datos personales, disponibles en la política de tratamiento de datos personales .

Organizadores: Kamadaya Entertaiment Corp., corporación debidamente constituida conforme a las leyes de Florida - Estados Unidos, con domicilio principal Florida Estados Unidos, cuyo objeto principal es el desarrollo de las actividades de servicios de repres entación artística a nivel mundial. 

Participantes: Toda persona podrán participar en esta dinámica la cual se desarrollará a partir del 05 de octubre de 2022 hasta el 20 de octubre de 2022. Todo participante debe aceptar los presentes términos y condiciones. Ganadores: 

• Serán 3 personas quienes recibirán su pase doble a la prueba de sonido para el concierto en Medellín el 30 de octubre de 2022, en la Macarena, y una sorpresa extra. 
• La elección de los ganadores se realizará por Kamadaya Entertaiment Corp., el día 21 de octubre de 2022, aniversario de la canción Tacones Rojos, quienes validarán el cumplimiento de los requisitos de la dinámica. 
• La elección de los ganadores se basará en su creatividad al hacer el video, en donde quien logre transmitir de manera más especial y única lo que más les de felicidad, serán los ganadores.
• La elección de los ganadores estará sujeta a la opinión y criterio de las personas encargadas, y no será al azar. Con esto, la decisión no está sujeta a discusión.
• Luego de ser elegidos, se anunciarán los ganadores en la cuenta oficial de yatraccess. El equipo se comunicará contigo para darte tu obsequio e invitación.

Entrega de premios: 

• El premio será enviado al ganador, a la dirección que este detalle en el formulario a llenar para participar en esta dinámica (La dirección de envío debe ser dentro del Valle de Aburrá en Colombia). 
• La Empresa Organizadora se hará cargo de los gastos de envío para hacer la entrega del premio al ganador.

Si el usuario infringe los derechos de propiedad intelectual de otra persona, o si Kamadaya Entertainment Corp.  recibe información sobre una posible infracción de derechos de terceros, Kamadaya Entertainment Corp. estará facultado para borrar la información del usuario infractor de forma inmediata y perseguir la indemnización por los perjuicios causados a Kamadaya Entertainment Corp.  como resultado de la infracción. El usuario es el único responsable por el contenido que suba o use en la Página Web.

Exoneración de Responsabilidad. 

Kamadaya Entertainment Corp. proporciona al usuario la Página web "tal y como está", "con todos los defectos" y "como está disponible", y el usuario asume todo riesgo relacionado con su uso. Cada usuario al registrarse en la Página web será responsable de mantener la confidencialidad de su cuenta y contraseña. Kamadaya Entertainment Corp. no se hace responsable por los contenidos, datos e información que cada uno de los usuarios de la Página web introduzcan en los campos y espacios para establecidos para incluir la información que solicita el sistema.

DHARMA LISTENING PARTY: Dinámica cuya finalidad es conmemorar el aniversario de DHARMA, tercer álbum del Artista Sebastian Yatra.

Organizadores: Kamadaya Entertainment Corp., corporación debidamente constituida conforme a las leyes de Florida - Estados Unidos, con domicilio principal Florida Estados Unidos, cuyo objeto principal es el desarrollo de las actividades de servicios de representación artística a nivel mundial.

Participantes: Toda persona que ingrese a la plataforma “Involve.me” y que posteriormente Acepte los Términos y Condiciones en el link proporcionado para ello. 

En caso de que los ganadores sean menores de edad, se les contactará y  se les proporcionará una autorización de uso de imagen la cual deben firmar por sus padres o responsables. En caso que no sea enviada, o sea mal diligenciada, serán descartados de la presente dinámica.

Dinámica #1 “Adivina la portada”

Por medio de la plataforma de trivias online “Involve.me”, los participantes tendrán que adivinar el nombre de las 8 portadas (Dharma, Regresé, Tacones Rojos,  TV, Las Dudas, Amor Pasajero, Melancólicos Anónimos) las cuales se encuentran editadas con el efecto borroso para aumentar el grado de dificultad. Respuestas con faltas ortográficas, sin separación o con todo en mayúscula, no serán válidas. Se premiará a los tres (3) primeros lugares según el número de respuestas correctas en el menor tiempo posible que identifique la plataforma Involve.me.

                                    Dinámica #2 “Identifica la canción

Por medio de la plataforma de trivias online “Involve.me”, los participantes leerán una palabra y tendrán que responder a qué canción de toda la carrera de Sebastián Yatra corresponde. Habrá un total de 15 palabras. Respuestas con faltas ortográficas, sin separación o con todo en mayúscula, no serán válidas. Se premiará a los 3 primeros lugares según el número de respuestas correctas en el menor tiempo posible que identifique la plataforma “Involve.me”.

                                Dinámica #3 “Trivia Sebastián Yatra”

Por medio de la plataforma de trivias online “Involve.me”, los participantes responderán un total de 40 preguntas desde las primeras canciones del Artista hasta datos técnicos de la gira Dharma Tour. Se premiará a los 3 primeros lugares según el número de respuestas correctas en el menor tiempo posible que identifique la plataforma “Involve.me”.

  Ganadores:

• Tres (3) ganadores por cada dinámica, para un total de nueve (9) personas ganadoras.
• Se premiarán los 3 primeros lugares que identifique la plataforma Involve.me.
• El anuncio de los ganadores públicamente se hará a través de la cuenta oficial yatraccess 2 días hábiles después de la reunión virtual. El equipo se comunicará con cada uno de los ganadores para hacer la entrega virtual del premio.
• DINÁMICA 1: Tres (3) giftcards de Amazon valoradas en Veinticinco dólares (USD $25) cada una.
• DINÁMICA 2: Tres (3) giftcards de Amazon valorados en Cincuenta dólares (USD$50) cada una.
• DINÁMICA 3: Tres (3) giftcards de Spotify Premium con una suscripción anual.

Entrega de premios:

• Se aclara que ninguna red social como Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc., patrocina, avala, ni administra de modo alguno esta dinámica, ni están asociadas a la misma. La información de los participantes es proporcionada únicamente a Kamadaya.
• Kamadaya no se responsabiliza por la pérdida, extravío o hackeo del Premio con posterioridad a su respectiva entrega.

Sebastián Yatra announced new North American tour dates, as an additional leg of his Dharma World Tour. Spanning 22 dates across the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada, the tour launches on August 25 in Houston, TX and ends on November 12 in San Juan, PR.

The Colombian singer-songwriter recently kicked off the extensive world tour in Mexico City, before heading to Europe and South America. For tickets and more information, visit Yatra’s official website .

Yatra is currently touring in support of his chart-topping third studio album, Dharma , which was released in January. The album finds the bilingual star blending a range of influences, including reggaeton, rock, and flamenco.

“It’s fun for me because if you listen to my music and you listen to ‘Dharma,’ I don’t sing any genre. I just sing songs, and I jump around from rhythm to rhythm, genre to genre. There’s like a punk rock song that’s very, like, Blink-182 in the album with Aitana from Spain,” Yatra told NPR.

The influential Latin artist has also found immense success with his song, “Dos Oruguitas,” from the soundtrack for Disney’s popular animated film, Encanto . He has since been nominated for an Oscar, in the category for Best Original Song, alongside writer Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Last September, Yatra teamed up with another highly-respected talent, Elvis Costello , to reimagine the latter artist’s “Big Tears” in Spanish (freshly-titled “Llorar.”) The song was recorded for Costello’s Spanish Model , which found some of today’s hottest Latin stars, including Juanes, Luis Fonsi, and Nina Diaz reinterpreting Costello’s 1978 album with the Attractions, This Year’s Model.

“I listened to Elvis Costello’s music thanks to my parents,” Yatra said in an earlier statement. “My voice sounds very different than in my other songs. It’s more rock, it helped me to get more confident and not to be scared of screaming or to let out my rawer side. I felt it was very beautiful to sing this in Spanish. I want to thank Elvis for having written this song.”

That sense of confidence will certainly follow Yatra throughout his tour, while fans can expect to hear the star’s biggest hits, including new songs from Dharma .

Chart-topping Colombian singer-songwriter Sebastián Yatra announces North American tour dates for the Dharma World Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 22 live dates span the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada, celebrating the genre-bending multi-platinum new album, Dharma .

Tickets go on sale to the public on February 25th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster . Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Wednesday, February 23rd at 10 am local time until Thursday, February 24th at 10 pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program.

The genre-versatile music orchestrator will kick off the Dharma World Tour on February 23rd at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, Mexico.

Also this week, Yatra will bring his engaging live performance to the Premio Lo Nuestro stage where he is also nominated for four awards including “Premio Lo Nuestro Artist Of The Year,” “The Perfect Mix of the Year,” “Pop Solo Artist Of The Year,” and “Pop Collaboration of the Year.” Premio Lo Nuestro airs on February 24th on Univision. Yatra will also co-headline Billboard’s exclusive South By Southwest concert dubbed Samsung Galaxy + Billboard Present The Stage at SXSW alongside Shawn Mendes on Saturday, March 19th at the Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Greenway Conservancy in Austin, Texas.

Yatra’s new album Dharma showcases the music maker’s continued versatility across music styles. The award-winning multi-talents’ genre-bending 17-track third studio album arrived alongside multi-platinum certifications, 5.1 billion combined streams, and a No. 1 ranking on Spotify’s US & Global album debut charts. Dharma peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Streaming & Latin digital song sales charts. The album scored the No. 23 ranking on Spotify globally and Top 10 in seven countries, including No. 2 Spain and No 4 in Argentina, Ecuador and Peru.

Sebastián Yatra is on his way to heartthrob status: 'It's completely surreal'

You may know Sebastián Yatra as the angelic voice behind the Oscar-nominated song "Dos Oruguitas" from Disney's "Encanto." But onstage, the Colombian singer is ripping his shirt off on his way to heartthrob status. 

On one of the hottest weekends in Los Angeles in September, the 28-year-old had the crowd – even the señoras – all hot and bothered inside the YouTube theater in Inglewood, California, as he lobbed his sweaty shirt at screaming admirers eager to take some Yatra memorabilia home. And toward the end of his 24-song set, during "Robarte Un Beso," the singer did as the song said and stole a kiss from a fan. 

Yatra knows he's the one putting on the show "but my fans are giving me a show as well," he says. "It's just magical to be onstage with them, we're all exchanging energy."

The  North American leg of his Dharma world tour , through November, marks the first time he's performed solo on this side of the globe. But with a stage presence like that, you wouldn't be able to tell. Perhaps it helped that Latin music powerhouses Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias took Yatra under their wing  for their co-headlining U.S. arena tour in 2021 . 

"I learned a lot from them," Yatra says. "You'll definitely see a beautiful evolution."

Yatra's 2022 has been full of career milestones. In January, he released "Dharma," his third studio album, and in March, he hit the Oscars, "the biggest stage in the world," to perform the Lin-Manuel Miranda-written ballad "Dos Oruguitas," which was up for best original song. Yatra calls it "life-changing." 

Now, he's basking it all in as he crosses state lines in a lavish tour bus. 

Question: How do you take care of yourself mentally and physically while you're on tour? 

Answer: I lead a pretty healthy lifestyle … I train every day, I'm eating healthy, and my mind is in a good place. I read and I also talk to my psychologist once a week. I give my personal well-being and my emotions a very important place. I give them that priority that is necessary – not only as a singer but in general.

You don't box yourself in within a genre and your discography – pop, reggaeton, ballads and flamenco – is proof. Have you ever felt pressured to change your sound? 

I have at some points done things that aren’t really my essence. But then I realize it's not the way to go because people don’t believe it too much when I have done the type of songs that just don't flow with (my style). It’s important for it to happen, too, because it’s a reminder, "Hey, man, just follow your heart." 

In a competitive industry, how do you stay true to yourself and follow your heart? 

I try to not go as fast as the rest of the world or look side to side (to what others are doing). It's about focusing on your own things, enjoying them and having fun.

Despite growing up in Miami and being fluent in English, you mainly sing in Spanish. Why? 

I always knew I wanted to sing in Spanish. It was my calling. It’s where I’m from. I think and sleep in Spanish. I grew up listening to a lot of Spanish music and I wanted to write (music) in Spanish and so I decided to leave the U.S., go back to Colombia and start there. It’s been the best decision I’ve made in my life. It’s connected me with my Colombian culture and with so many other cultures of Latin America. I feel like I have a lot to offer. 

Now, if I decide to sing in English, it’ll have a lot of that culture, passion, love and spark from Latin America. I am bicultural (and it's) a huge blessing.

How did it feel to perform "Dos Oruguitas" at the Oscars earlier this year? 

It's completely surreal. It's like one of those dreams you have that you wake up from thinking, "How was that a dream?" This was literally that dream. Everything I could have wished for happened that night.

In such a magical way (I was) representing the 600 million Spanish-speaking people in the world, our culture, our way of feeling, our way of thinking, and representing my country. And our land, our customs, our food and our love – "Encanto" has done such a beautiful job of painting a beautiful picture of Colombia for the world.

At Sebastián Yatra 's concerts, every detail matters.

When planning the Dharma World Tour, the 27-year-old singer wanted to be involved with the entire process. Between collaborating with the band, choreographers, dancers and stylists, Sebastián spent hours behind the scenes making sure everything was perfect. Now, fans around the world are going to see the hard work pay off. 

"I'm a person that gives my 1,000 percent at every show," Sebastián exclusively shared with E! News. "But the cool thing about these new shows is it's with a new level of consciousness and that's what Dharma means."

After kicking off the tour in February, the Grammy nominee is proud to have created a show "that I'm a fan of." And after taking his time planning the show from beginning to end, Sebastián is confident that his headlining tour will be worth the wait.

"I feel like maybe in my past shows, what was going on inside of my heart was more the result of things than the enjoyment of it," he shared. "Now that I'm present, I'm really paying attention a lot more to the details….Now I'm really taking that time to tell the story of the show and actually build a very beautiful show that goes through all these different emotions that we feel as people."

In just a couple of weeks, Sebastián's mission is already coming to fruition. He's already seen a variety of emotions from concert attendees including excitement and even some tears. 

"An all-around experience for me is super important with my show," he said. "I feel like it is all-around experience."

And with several tour stops  throughout the United States starting in August, it's not too late to experience the moments for yourself. "When you come to the Dharma tour, you're not going to come to see me," he said. "You're going to come to watch yourself reflected in all these different states, which we go through every day."

In February,  Sebastián Yatra kicked off his  Dharma World Tour  produced by Live Nation. Several stops are planned through December.

On Oct 8, Sebastián took his tour to the United Palace in New York. According to an audience member, fans from around the world watched the singer perform his biggest hits including "Robarte Un Beso." And yes, he managed to pull off four outfit changes during the show. 

Throughout the tour, Sebastián will work with stylist  Daniela Gutiérrez on an assortment of fashionable looks. "I get involved in the sense that I'm like, ‘I like this, I don't like this. I like this. Let's go in this direction,'" he told E! News. "I want to trust and have people that are great at what they do. I let them guide me as well. Obviously I have my taste in it, but it's a huge team effort and we're all motivated and happy with what we come up with." 

Sebastián admits his outfit choices can help tell a story while on stage. As he explained, "I really like how all the moments are being portrayed with the clothes because in the end, the clothes are just a form of expression." 

No matter where you see Sebastián live, the singer has one goal for concertgoers. "I hope that you live more than a show," he shared, "but an interactive experience in something where you feel and reflect and leave loving life just a little bit more than before you came inside."

Before taking the stage, Sebastián can be found backstage warming up his hands on the piano and guitar. "I'm also warming up my voice and my body with dancers," he added. "There are so many elements in this show that it's all about preparing everything with the team including a sound check before."

After meeting with fans before the show, Sebastián makes it a priority to enjoy a few minutes to himself. "I try to have 15 minutes to myself just to not think about anything, just prepare for all that energy that I'm going to receive," he said. "It's a beautiful experience." 

How does an artist relax in the middle of a jam-packed tour schedule? Sebastián has some ideas. "A way that I unwind is yoga. Meditation helps me out. I started zooming with a psychologist five or six months ago and that helped me out a lot," he said. "Reading, staying in touch with family and the people I love and just being honest with myself." 

Throughout the tour, Sebastián hopes to follow a certain mindset. "I used to go after my dreams and chase after my dreams, but that never helped me because my dreams aren't here with me," he explained. "They are so far away. It's like anticipating happiness or anticipating what I'm going to want in the future. I know what I love and what direction I want to go towards but I'm following my heart. My heart's with me right here and it helps me stay present and it helps me enjoy what's happening right now in this very moment."

Sebastian Yatra Unveils 2022 ‘Dharma’ U.S. Tour Dates

Sebastián Yatra is bringing his Dharma World Tour to North America.

The Colombian star today (Feb. 22) unveils the itinerary for the North American leg, opening Aug. 25 in Houston.

Produced by Live Nation, the 22-date jaunt will take the singer-songwriter across the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada, making stops in key markets such as Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Montreal and San Juan. Fans can pre-register here to get an early access code to buy tickets, which are set to go on sale Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. local time.

The Dharma World Tour starts Feb. 23 in Mexico City and, over the summer, the 27-year-old artist will take his tour to Europe and South America before its run across the U.S.

The trek is in support of his third studio album, Dharma , which was released Jan. 28. and debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’ s Latin Pop Albums chart (dated Feb. 12), his third album to reach the top two on the tally. Elsewhere, the 17-track set earned Yatra his third career entry on the all-genre Top Latin Albums chart where it bowed at No. 13.

In the eclectic Dharma , Yatra dabbles in punk rock (“Las Dudas”), cumbia (“Amor Pasajero”), vallenato and flamenco (“Dharma”), reggaeton (“Si Me La Haces”) and pop (“Modo Avión”).

“[This album] taught me that you don’t have to limit your creativity,” Yatra, who sings the Oscar-nominated “Dos Oruguitas” on Disney’s Encanto , previously told Billboard . “If I tell myself that I’m only good at making ballads or that I’m only good at making pop, I will only be good at that. But I’ve never questioned if I would sound good in a rhythm or not. I’m also not thinking, ‘Oh, I’m going to show everyone that I can be good in every genre.’ I just try to make an amazing song that goes with who I am and it just happens to be that type of music.”

This was a terrible experience. Truly a waste of VIP priced tickets. We traveled from far away for a 9pm show on a Tuesday. Sebastian Yatra had no business making us wait until well after midnight for him to show up. The venue, which was actually staffed with incredibly nice security, must have doubled their drink prices for this event (they were not bad drinks, just way over priced).

Queens, NY has a huge, diverse community of Latinos, so it makes a lot of sense for him to have a release party there, instead of Manhattan for example. But for us to wait more than three hours, without an apology from him (and we could clearly see that he was updating his instagram stories with footage of him gallivanting in NYC) or updates from the venue, is disrespectful. I purchased his album the minute it was released (and continue to love it, even though it reminds me of how thoughtless and entitled he must be to do this to the audience).

Shortly after midnight (so three hours of standing in the VIP section waiting), I took a video of the crowd, all of whom were tired, slumped over, yawning, impatient, and disappointed, we left. A more mature, thoughtful, caring artist would never do that to their fans. He should be ashamed.

Sebastián Yatra opens his first headlining US tour in Sugar Land

The colombian vocalist, who sang on the 'encanto' soundtrack, plays smart financial centre aug. 25..

The last time Sebastián Yatra performed in Houston, he was opening for Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias.

"There's a lot of Mexicans, there's a lot of Latin people going to the shows. But there are also a lot of Americans that are in love with our culture," he says.

 Yatra returns this week as a headliner. He kicks off his Dharma North American Tour with a show Thursday at Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land. Yatra has toured the world, including Spain, Mexico and his native Colombia. But this is his first time traveling the U.S. as the main attraction.

"It's more excitement than nerves," he says of the anticipation. I don't really know what's going to go on. And I love Texas. The food's amazing. Every time I go there, I've got to get some barbecue."

This has proven to be the biggest year yet for Yatra. He was selected by Lin Manuel Miranda to sing the song "Dos Oruguitas," used in am emotional flashback scene in the Disney film "Encanto." The plaintive ballad earned an Oscar nomination and was Yatra's first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. He performed it at this year's Oscars telecast for almost 17 million viewers, an experience he calls "life-changing."

""I was there representing the 600 million Spanish-speaking people in the world," he says. "It's a lifelong experience, a lifelong feeling. It's something that was so intense emotionally that I can go back to it at any given moment and remember exactly what I was feeling. It's insane. It's like a one-in-a-billion thing."

Though it deserved the win, "Dos Origuitas" lost to Billie Eilish's "No Time to Die." Yatra, however, took solace in another wow moment. At the ceremony, he was seated next to Dixson, who co-wrote "Be Alive" with Beyonce for the film "King Richard." Suddenly, he was in the presence of pop and hip-hop royalty.

"Two people come sit down, and it's Beyonce and Jay-Z. In my head, I was just like, 'Play it cool, play it cool.' She's super nice. She told my mom she looked extremely young, 'You cannot be his mom'," Yatra says. "It's beautiful when you see someone that's such a big star is also such a nice human being. She transmits a lot of beautiful things."

Yatra also released his third album, "Dharma," earlier this year. It's songs have racked up billions of streams and features heartfelt ballads, reggaeton and collaborations with Jonas Brothers and John Legend. He was just nominated for four Billboard Latin Music Awards, including song, Latin pop artist, solo Latin pop song and Latin pop album of the year.

Yatra says his previous albums featured "romanticized" versions of things he saw in movies. This time, he's drawing from real-life experience that he hopes to bring to life in a way that resonates with fans.

Dancing onstage : I have my weird way of dancing. I built the show around that, not pretending to be a professional dancer or anything. The dancers are so great, and the choreography is so cool. They help me out a bunch so that it all fits in.

""I wanted to do a show about you and not about me," Yatra says. "'Dharma' the album, and my music in general, have never been categorized by just one genre. There's a lot of things to play with for the live versions of the songs. It's a show that takes you from happiness to sadness to something sexy to nostalgia, even deep into fears and unresolved things. It's accepting our reality, that's what dharma means."

Yes, Sebastián Yatra is having a moment — and 'Encanto' is just the beginning

Three months in, and it's looking like 2022 is Sebastián Yatra's year. The Colombian singer has recently achieved many career firsts — with more on the way.

To recap, Yatra’s third studio album, “Dharma,” was released in January, with an accompanying world tour that kicked off a month later.

In March, Yatra landed his first cover of Billboard magazine ; dropped a bilingual version of his new song “Tacones Rojos” with John Legend; appeared on U.S. late night shows like “ The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ” and “ Jimmy Kimmel Live !;” and made his acting debut in the fairy tale-inspired Spanish-language Netflix series “ Érase una vez ... pero ya no ” (“Once Upon a Time ... But Not Anymore”). 

The opportunities that have come his way in 2022, Yatra tells TODAY over the phone, have been both “surreal” and “very, very real” at the same time. “We are enjoying them all and having a great time,” he says.

As a capstone to this surreal month, Yatra will perform “Dos Oruguitas,” an Oscar-nominated song from “Encanto,” at the upcoming Academy Awards , taking the stage along with artists Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, and Reba McEntire.

While the “ Encanto” song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno ” went on to become a viral hit, songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda told Variety he chose to submit the song he felt exemplified “the spirit of the movie” for official Oscars consideration, and that was "Dos Oruguitas."

The Spanish lyrics of “Dos Oruguitas” tell the story of two caterpillars who must let each other go in order to transform and grow into butterflies. Within “Encanto,” the song functions as an origin story, explaining how Abuela — heartbroken over the death of her husband — created an enchanted refuge for her family. 

“I’m trying not to think about the magnitude of what it is or anticipate it,” Yatra says of his upcoming Oscars performance. “I’ve never been the most nervous person. I think it’s all about enjoying it.”

While not anxious, Yatra is aware of the gravity of the moment. He says he has a “lot of respect” for the Academy Awards, and wants to get the performance right.

“You have a certain amount of nerves, especially since it’s your first time doing it and you have an opportunity to give people a beautiful message through music. For me, it’s more of those nerves of, ‘I want to do my best so people can get something nice out of this,’” he says.

Oscar viewers will be treated to more “Encanto," beyond "Dos Oruguitas:" Cast members Adassa, Stephanie Beatriz, Mauro Castillo, Carolina Gaitan and Diane Guerrero, along with pop stars Becky G and Luis Fonsi, will perform “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” during the telecast. 

Ahead of the performance, Yatra is working with his vocal coach in Colombia and perfecting his look for the big night. His plans to pay homage to his roots. “I want to represent my country, Colombia,” Yatra says.

Yatra may be having a moment on the heels of “Encanto” and his collaboration with Legend, but he’s already a household name in his native Colombia and throughout Latin America. The singer-songwriter charms listeners with his swoon-worthy voice and genre-blending sounds, which have notes of reggaeton, pop and vallenato for years.

Born in Medellín, Colombia in 1994 and raised in Miami, Yatra knew he wanted to be an entertainer from a young age. 

“It was just something natural. I feel like I was acting all the time and being dramatic all day. One of my mom’s best friends, when I was a little kid, she would call me Hollywood,” he recalls. “They also called me payasito, when I was a kid, or ‘little clown,’” Yatra says.

From starring in a middle school production of “High School Musical,” Yatra realized that his love for acting and singing could actually become a career. In short, he found his calling. “I was like, 

‘OK, this is what I love. I’m going to do it,’” he says.

After a brief stint at Boston University, Yatra moved back to Colombia with the intention of launching his career — and that, he did. In 2016, his song “Traicionera” became a hit, and he has had 18 songs on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs char t since 2018, when his debut album "Mantra" came out. “Dos Oruguitas” is his highest charting hit to date.

Pulling from different genres, his songs are united by emotional openness. “As a songwriter, I’m just trying to be as honest and transparent as possible. You don’t have to be writing a ballad to be honest. You can write a big dance song, electronic song, and still be honest with the message that you are bringing across through your interpretation and  the instruments,” he says.

Now, with the bilingual version of “Tacones Rojos” that dropped on March 23, Yatra is crossing over to a more global audience. Yatra reflected on his filming the music video for “Tacones Rojos” with Legend, who he says is “such a nice guy,” in Los Angeles.

“What we filmed was magical. He has the best attitude. We have a lot of things in common, and I admire John deeply,” he says.

Yatra doesn’t call the song a "remix." Instead, he describes it as a song for English speakers to enjoy and call their own. While it has the same feel-good, happy-go-lucky essence as the original, he says Legend brings something “so magical and different” to this song that it feels like a new single entirely. “It brings so much joy to the world,” he says.

The outcome aligns with Yatra’s goals as an artist: To use music as a means to bring joy, and even enlightenment, to people — himself included. He purposefully called his album "Dharma," which he explains is the idea of “accepting reality and all of our emotions for what they are.”

Yatra embraces practices like Kundalini yoga and therapy to stay balanced. To stay motivated, he uses the art of manifestation: Naming your desires in the hopes that expressing them will help you achieve them.

“We don’t have to be scared to say the things we want to do,” he says. “Don’t be scared to say (it) if it comes out naturally, because it means you’re putting your energy towards that, and that you want to do it.”

This attitude keeps him grounded in a turbulent industry. “If it doesn’t end up happening, it’s not the end of the world. Your happiness cannot be in an award show or in a song being a huge hit or not,” he says. 

Yatra sees his eventful 2022 proof of him living out his life purpose — which would remain the same, success or not. “My biggest goal in life is to grow inside day by day, and to be at a point that, even if they took everything away from me, I would still have a purpose.”

“This all led me to where I’m at. I’m where I have to be,” he says.

“Akureyri,” the new single by Aitana and Sebastián Yatra , reunites — in music, at least — one of the most popular couples in Latin music.

And it could be the first of many reunions. “This is already the third song I have done with Sebastián,” Aitana told Billboard exclusively. “We seem to understand each other very well in the studio,” she adds a bit cryptically without alluding to any romance. “We’ve understood each other very well for a long time, so having that complicity with someone inside a studio is hard to find; having that companionship that allows you to go inside the studio and a very beautiful song comes out again and again.”

“Sebastián started tossing some verses, and I started making the melody. And we finished the song in a car,” adds Aitana, who had just gotten her driver’s license. All of those moments – the two of them driving, entering the store, singing with the guitar – are seen in the “Akureyri” video, which was filmed on a subsequent trip once Yatra and Aitana decided to record the song together.

“Akureyri” is one of two recent great looks for Aitana. In April, Netflix released the movie De Pared a Pared , in which Aitana, in her first acting gig, plays the lead role Valentina, a young classical pianist who establishes a “wall-to-wall” relationship with her enigmatic neighbor.

The movie, a sweet romantic comedy that’s utterly disarming, was shot two years ago, when Aitana was only 22 years old.

“I carry Valentina in my heart and all those months of filming that were very beautiful,” she says of the three months of intense filming and piano lessons.

El romance de Aitana (24) y Sebastián Yatra (29) ha hecho correr ríos de tinta. La pareja protagonizó una sonada ruptura hace unos meses y la entrevista que el colombiano concedió a Vicky Martín Berrocal durante la etapa que pasó soltero ha complicado las cosas a la hora de su segunda oportunidad con la cantante catalana. Unas palabras que vuelven a acompañar un clip en el que, esta vez sí, se ve al de Tacones Rojos tocando la guitarra en un estudio de grabación mientras ella, sentada, escucha. Una canción de la que apenas se han escuchado algunos acordes y que ya promete dar muchísimo que hablar, pues es la confirmación de la pareja de que vuelven y de que, al menos en sus respectivas carreras, esta nueva oportunidad va a dejar una huella permanente.

Akureyri es el nombre de una importante ciudad de Islandia . Un país que, según ha explicado la propia Aitana en uno de sus post-pista sobre su nueva canción, le marcó para siempre en 2015 cuando lo visitó con su familia. Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

We had a great time both in Moscow and St Petersburg. Your travel agency was excellent in coordinating the whole trip. Everything worked like clockwork. Princeton University Art Museum Gets Six Site-Specific New Works

As the museum’s new building nears completion, shadowed by controversy, artists respond with new commissions.

Princeton University has a long history of commissioning public art by the likes of Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson, Alexander Calder and Pablo Picasso, dating back to the 1960s. And when the Princeton University Art Museum opens to the public next year, at almost double the size of its original building, six new large-scale works by women and artists of color will have pride of place — visible beacons near the building’s perimeter, both indoors and out at this central crossroads on campus.

The artworks include four site-specific commissions by Diana Al-Hadid , Nick Cave , Jane Irish and Tuan Andrew Nguyen and two acquisitions by Jun Kaneko and Rose B. Simpson .

“From every access point toward the museum, there will be works of public art so that people can almost use them as visual markers of arrival,” James Steward, its director, said.

“I was thinking about how to bring voices that maybe were not yet adequately represented on our campus,” Steward said. The new artworks help “break down the distinctions between indoors and outdoors,” he added, as part of the goal to enhance accessibility and engagement with the museum’s encyclopedic collection, some 115,000 objects. (The institution is renowned for its Chinese paintings, photography and pre-Columbian holdings.)

The 1966 building was demolished in 2021 to make way for the new one. The museum has an annual operating budget of $29 million (60 percent of which comes from endowment income) and has 120 employees, expected to grow to 180 by the opening in 2025.

The 146,000-square-foot building, which is divided into nine interlocking pavilions for each area of its holdings, will place all of its collection galleries on the second floor, giving them parity. Nearly ignored in Steward’s tour was mention of the new building’s designer, the Ghanaian-British architect David Adjaye , acclaimed for the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. Last year, Adjaye was accused of sexual misconduct by three former employees and has stepped back from day to day oversight on several projects.

“We were 50 percent through construction” at the time of the allegations, Steward said. “We were obviously not going to tear the building down and start over again.”

It is credited as an Adjaye Associates project, but Steward said the architect is no longer involved and the remaining work is in the hands of the collaborating architects Cooper Robertson . (Similarly, the Studio Museum in Harlem ’s new building is nearing completion with Adjaye Associates and Cooper Robertson.) The Shelburne Museum in Vermont , on the other hand, which had hired Adjaye to build its new center for Native American art, had barely begun the design process last year and chose to cut all ties with his firm.

Princeton’s building was fully funded — two-thirds by private donors, one-third by the university — before its groundbreaking in 2021. “We have to reclaim our own values that have shaped the project,” the director said.

He suggested those values are embedded in the four new artist commissions, which each respond directly to the architecture and the collections.

Cave is scaling up one of his vibrant “Soundsuit” figures to 40 feet tall — it will bow toward arriving visitors as part of a mosaic combining glass, wood and metal that wraps around two walls of the entrance court. The fantastical form will be adorned in a costume of flowers with a halo of spinning tops and globes.

“I see this figure as the master of ceremonies that will welcome you,” said Cave, a Chicago-based artist, who titled his piece “Let me introduce myself. They call me MC, Prince Brighton.” A cloudscape with eight Adinkra symbols from West Africa, including ones for unity, peace, truth and courage, surrounds the figure.

Al-Hadid, a Syrian-born, New York-based sculptor, will create a ghostly ziggurat in aluminum rising 15 feet on the East terrace.

“I am interested in the suggestion that this ancient structure might lay stored — in some ways buried — within a very contemporary new building,” she said, explaining that she was inspired by objects in the museum’s collection from near her birthplace in Aleppo and from Turkey.

For a narrow double-height gallery above another entrance, Nguyen has made a 20-foot-high kinetic mobile nodding to Calder. It will dangle over ancient mosaics embedded in the floor from the late 2nd-century A.D., which were discovered during excavations of Antioch in modern Turkey during the 1930s by a Princeton-led team. The polished discs of the mobile are modeled on unexploded ordnance from the Vietnam War that has killed many farmers in the decades since, part of ongoing research by Nguyen, a Vietnam-based visual artist .

“It’s the reincarnation of this bomb material left over from the detritus of war,” said Nguyen, who has designed his sculpture with bells and mallets that will chime in the breeze. “It kind of looks like this rising dragon, responding to the old mosaic of a Medusa on the ground.”

For a small viewing room cantilevered from one of the second-floor pavilions, Irish, who is based in Philadelphia, created “Cosmos Beyond Atrocity,” a Renaissance-style ceiling painting. Inside its architectural coffers, she painted vignettes of violence drawn from the museum’s art collection, including Medea slaying her children, the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian, and Judith beheading Holofernes (so much of the Western canon of art is premised on such images). But her ceiling offers a different vision of the cosmos in the center, based on images of pacifism. The trompe l’oeil composition appears to rip open in the middle, revealing an atmospheric sky, populated with figures from the Vietnam antiwar movement in the United States.

Steward thinks that people walking down the sidewalk “will see this gloriously colored ceiling and want to discover what it is.”

He said he hoped the day would come eventually when the role that Adjaye played in the design of the building could be discussed without tainting the project.

“As a culture, we’re going to have to grapple more successfully with how we deal with the maker versus the work,” Steward said.

“If we were to apply the standards of today to the art of the past, our galleries would probably be decimated.”
