18 Top Tourist Attractions in Las Vegas

' src=

Renowned around the world for its glitzy casinos, luxury themed resorts, and endless entertainment options, Las Vegas really is like no other place on Earth. Set amidst the arid and desolate confines of the Mojave Desert, the alluring sights, sounds and shows of ‘Sin City’ lie in the south of Nevada, not far from lots of incredible scenery and landscapes.

While there is certainly more to the city than just its Strip, most of the main tourist attractions in Las Vegas, massive hotels, and iconic landmarks lie along its busy boulevard. Here you can find not only the humongous High Roller but celebrity chef-run restaurants and casinos putting on unforgettable Cirque du Soleil shows and music concerts. With so many things to do all day and all night, Las Vegas certainly makes for a memorable holiday destination.

18. Neon Museum

Neon Museum

As Las Vegas is famous for its bright and colorful signs that line the Strip and entice visitors into its casinos, bars, and resorts, it is well worth visiting the Neon Museum when in town. Tucked away on the edge of downtown, it offers an interesting look at the city’s history and culture through signs.

While taking a tour of its hundreds of cheery, colorful signs, you’ll learn about iconic landmarks such as Caesars Palace and the Riviera and how Las Vegas evolved into a top tourist destination. Its outdoor ‘Neon Boneyard Park’ is particularly impressive at night when all the lit-up signs stand out delightfully against the dark sky.

17. Pinball Hall of Fame

Pinball Hall of Fame

Home to hundreds of old pinball machines and classic arcade games, the Pinball Hall of Fame can be found just minutes from the Strip. Set right next to the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, it is a very fun and family friendly place to visit that can keep you entertained for hours.

Crammed inside the unique museum are around four hundred pinball games for you to play with the earliest ones dating to the 1940s. While strolling about amidst all of its bright flashing lights, you’ll come across rare and vintage games lying alongside more modern machines and models.

16. Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil

If it is an absolutely unforgettable spectacle you are after in Las Vegas, then you won’t want to miss catching a Cirque du Soleil performance. The legendary entertainment troupe performs a number of incredible acrobatic acts and spellbinding shows nightly in various resorts along the Strip.

While Treasure Island’s ‘Mystere’ features dazzling dance routines and death-defying acrobatics, the Bellagio hosts ‘O’ – an artistic and aquatic tribute to the beauty of theater. Yet other superb shows in the city include the action-packed, martial arts-filled ‘Ka’, and vibrant musical and visual tributes to both Michael Jackson and the Beatles with all Cirque’s shows making for enthralling spectacles.

15. Wynn Las Vegas Casino

Wynn Las Vegas Casino

Widely considered to be one of the best luxury resorts in the world, the award-winning Wynn Las Vegas also has a gorgeous casino for visitors and guests to enjoy. Decadently decorated, its art and floral-filled galleries have all kinds of games for you to try in a chic and sophisticated setting.

Since opening in 2005, its countless table games, slot machines, and poker rooms have proved to be very popular with high-flyers while the casino’s incredible entrance attracts just as many people. This is because stunning waterfalls plunge into the lovely Lake of Dreams below which is backed by man-made mountains and is magically lit up at night.

14. Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

One of the most popular and photographed landmarks in town, the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign has been welcoming visitors to the city since 1959. Set just to the south of the Strip and all its sights, the sign is a must-see attraction and looks particularly arresting at night time.

Designed by local artist Betty Willis, the colorful sign and its distinct lights and lettering can be found not far from Mandalay Bay and the Little Church of the West. While it already makes for some fantastic photos during the day, at night the sign’s flashing lights really epitomize the spirit of Las Vegas and its distinctive look and feel.

13. Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam

Straddling the border between Nevada and Arizona, the humongous Hoover Dam certainly makes for a striking sight. Once the largest dam in the world, it lies just forty-five minutes to the east of the city right next to Lake Mead and all its amazing recreation opportunities.

Built in 1935, the massive dam towers to over two hundred meters in height and is set in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River. Besides basking in its scenic setting and enjoying fine views from atop of it, visitors can also take tours around the dam to learn about its history, how it works and the impact it had on Las Vegas.

12. High Roller

High Roller

Also set on the Strip you can find the High Roller which reaches a staggering height of 167 meters and is impressively the highest observation wheel in the world. As is offers up simply spectacular views of Las Vegas, the Strip, and its surroundings, going for a ride on the giant Ferris wheel really is a must when in town.

Only opened in 2014, it lies just across the street from Caesars Palace and is beautifully illuminated by thousands of LED lights at night. While taking a spin in one of its sleek passenger cabins, audio commentary informs you all about the sights you can see below.

11. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Red Rock Canyon

While it only lies twenty minutes’ drive west of the city, the stunning landscapes and scenery of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area feel a million miles away from the sights and sounds of the Strip. A treat to explore, its colorful canyons offer up all kinds of excellent outdoor activities with stupendous views and nature wherever you go.

A very popular and picturesque place, the park attracts millions of visitors each year due to its ease of access, wealth of activities and dramatic scenery. Besides hiking and biking, you can enjoy rock climbing, horseback riding and camping or scenic drives amidst its ruddy rock formations.

10. New York-New York Hotel & Casino

New York-New York Hotel

The Big Apple roller coaster at the New York New York Hotel & Casino definitely isn’t a ride for the faint of heart. It’s a heavenly ride for thrill seekers, however, drawing 1.4 million riders annually.

It’s the world’s first roller coaster with a 180-degree to twist and dive, meaning riders will be upside down part of the time, with the coaster zipping along at 67 mph. The outdoor track is less than a mile long, with the coaster taking riders up to 180 feet in the air and then drops as much as 140 feet.

9. Paris Las Vegas

Paris Las Vegas

Great views of Las Vegas await travelers who partake of the Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas. This half-scale replica of the real thing reaches 46 stories into the sky, ensuring it is a Vegas landmark. Once at the observation deck, visitors are treated to 360-degree views of Las Vegas.

On a clear day, one can clearly see forever. Don’t recognize any of the landmarks? Not to worry, staff will name them. The views are particularly stunning at night when the city that never sleeps is lit up like a Christmas tree.

8. Mob Museum

Mob Museum

Want to relive the days when the mob ruled not only Las Vegas, but the rest of the United States? The Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas offers the opportunity to learn more about the mob and organized crime in this country.

This non-profit museum explores organized crime from its beginnings to today through exhibits and interactive activities. Learn about mobsters and G-men, molls and speakeasies, bootleggers and casino skimmers, and present-day mob activities. Oh, this $42 million museum was financed by government funds, not the mob.

7. The Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian Las Vegas

Venice, Italy, is famous for its canals and singing gondoliers, but travelers won’t need a passport to ride the Grand Canal at the Venetian Casino Resort in Nevada’s largest city. The Venetian named their premier shopping mall the Grand Canal, then built a canal through it.

Gondolas, complete with costumed singing gondoliers, guide their craft under bridges and balconies, and past shops with exterior décor that mimics the real thing. Couples can share a kiss under the Rialto Bridge or any of the other bridges, for that matter. Here’s to smooth sailing!

6. Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street Experience

The Fremont Street Experience is an attraction no visitor to Las Vegas should miss. Located on a five-block section of Fremont Street, known as Glitter Gulch in the city’s early years, the Fremont Street Experience is a top-notch sound and light show that will wow the senses. Colorful displays of lights and loud music take place several times a night under a 90-foot high canopy.

Casinos and other businesses turn off their lights, a signal that a light show is about to begin. More than 12 million LED lights streak through the pedestrian mall located in the historic section of Las Vegas. The show can only be described as “totally awesome.”

5. The Mirage

The Mirage

Located on the Strip, the Mirage is a Polynesian-themed casino and hotel with 3,044 rooms. The “volcano” at the Mirage Casino may be the world’s only volcano that doesn’t stink when it erupts. This volcano, which erupts nightly from 8 p.m. to midnight, spews out a pina colada scent. This faux volcano also erupts to a soundtrack of actual volcanoes erupting.

The Mirage is full of other attractions, including a huge aquarium located behind the hotel’s front desk. The aquarium is home to 450 fish that swim around an artificial coral reef. Suited-up divers clean the tank several times weekly in the early morning, providing another unique sight to see.

4. Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace

A larger-than-life resort, Caesars Palace was dreamed up and built Jay Sarno, who worked hard building motels in the 1950’s. His love for gambling led him to Las Vegas, where he envisioned a casino much more glamorous than what the Strip had been offering. And so Caesars Palace opened in 1966 at a cost of $24 million, and was unlike anything Las Vegas had seen.

With fountains and pools and employees in Roman-themed uniforms, it was an immediate hit, and set the standard for the themed-hotels that are so common in Sin City today. The casino has made an appearance in several Hollywood movies since it opened its doors including the Academy Award-winning film Rain Main and the 2009 hit comedy The Hangover.

3. Stratosphere Tower

Stratosphere Tower

Major Vegas hotels center around themes or special gimmicks to draw visitors. The Stratosphere Hotel is no exception. It is home to the Stratosphere Tower, which, at 1,149 feet (350 meters) high, is the tallest freestanding tower in the United States. The observation deck is THE place to go for spectacular 360-degree views of the city and surrounding terrain.

Since the tower is open until 1 a.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends, it’s a good place to see Las Vegas at its glittering best. One of the most visited attractions in Las Vegas, the tower will appeal to daredevils and thrill seekers too who, for a fee, can sky jump off the tower at 855 feet (261 meters).

2. Bellagio

Bellagio

Travelers can hit a daily double when visiting the Bellagio Casino, famous for its dancing fountains, and conservatory and botanical gardens. The garden has so many plants, it takes 140 horticulturists to maintain it as well as plan holiday-themed displays. Experts also answer visitors’ gardening questions daily in the conservatory.

As impressive as the gardens are, the fountains are even more awesome. They explode in a fusion of light and music, ranging from opera to Broadway tunes, frequently throughout the day and night. It’s hard to argue with Bellagio when it refers to this show as “the most ambitious, choreographically complex water feature ever conceived.”

1. The Strip

The Strip

Casinos can be found throughout Las Vegas, but the strip, a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South, contains the most of them. It features giant mega-casino hotels, decorated with lavish care and attention to detail to create a fantasy-like atmosphere.

The casinos often have names and themes that evoke romance, mystery, and far-away destination. Walking along the strip is a fun and reasonable option as the casinos are close to each other. In most cases, hotels are connected to each other either by bridge or underground or in the case of the Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay, by a complimentary rail shuttle.

Be aware that during the summer, the oppressive heat during the daylight hours may make walking a very uncomfortable activity.

Las Vegas Neighborhoods

If you're smart and exercise common sense, your stay in Las Vegas should remain safe and enjoyable. As far as safety is concerned, you should take some extra precautions when on the Strip or in a casino. Cash and alcohol run wild, often placing travelers in compromising situations. Don't overindulge in alcohol, and keep your winnings to yourself to avoid attracting unwanted attention. When on the Strip, never walk alone in the evenings, be mindful of the busy road, and follow all street signals and applicable laws. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department offers more tips on its website .

It plays an important role in Las Vegas’ livelihood because it has been the main water source of the city since its completion in 1935. Located in a desert, there was a pressing need to have a reliable and stable water supply to cope with the development of the city.

The dam reserves fresh water in Lake Mead, a man-made reservoir formed by the Hoover Dam project. It also helps with flood control, provides irrigation, and produces hydroelectric power. The Hoover Sam is a modern marvel and one of the coolest things to see around Las Vegas.

By Allison from Eternal Arrival One of the best attractions close to Las Vegas is Valley of Fire State Park. It’s only a short 45-minute drive away from the Vegas Strip. This  amazing state park might as well be a national park for its beauty and impressiveness . Visiting here is one of the legendary things to do around Las Vegas.

Check out this top-rated visit to Valley of the Fire.

Valley of the Fire State Park

There are myriad ways to explore the  Valley of Fire from Vegas : the best-loved is by an overland jeep tour which shows you all of the highlights of the park while also getting to have some offroad fun!

You may also  consider a self-drive adventure  as you have time to enjoy some of the best hikes in the park at your own pace.  These include Rainbow Vista and the Fire Wave  (which you may not have time for on a guided tour).

Valley of the Fire State Park

There are also  Native American petroglyphs within the park which demonstrate the long significance  this region has held to the Indigenous people. Visiting the Valley of Fire is a  must for landscape photographers, hikers, and those curious about Native American history alike.  Also, it’s one of the best cheap things to do in Las Vegas.

By Nicole from Go Far Grow Close  Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is one of the awesome tourist attractions near Las Vegas. It’s a national park approximately 40 minutes drive from the Las Vegas strip . It is an easy drive, and you’ll be rewarded with spectacular natural beauty and endless hiking trails.

Red Rock Canyon is one of the coolest places to see near Las Vegas. It lies in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. Accordingly, there are vast plains of beige sand, green cacti, and towering red sandstone peaks next to enormous brown limestone summits .

couple at Red Rock Canyon

If you are staying at one of the hotels on the Las Vegas strip, rental cars are usually easy to find and inexpensive to acquire, even at the last minute. Do not take an Uber or Lyft as there is little to no cell phone service at Red Rock Canyon. You will have a hard time securing one to return to your hotel.

Consider this Red Rock Canyon Hiking Tour.

man sits on rock at Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas

There is a gorgeous 13-mile one-way scenic drive through the park which you will want to drive . You’ll get to see the whole park as you pass by different hiking trails. Driving through Red Rock is one of the truly memorable things to do near Las Vegas Nevada.

Along with the scenic drive and amazing hikes, Red Rock is one of the legendary Las Vegas tourist spots because there are ancient petroglyphs carved into the rocks by prehistoric people.

When considering to visit this and other attractions around Las Vegas, be mindful of the weather. It gets very hot, especially midday or during the summer months. No matter the season, don’t forget to pack a hat, sunscreen, and lots of water. If you forget, there is a Visitor’s Center near the entrance to the park where you can purchase essentials and also ask for recommendations from park volunteers.

By Daria from the Discovery Nut Located along Interstate-70, Seven Magic Mountains is one of the most famous places in Las Vegas. It’s an art installation in the middle of the desert about 10 miles outside Las Vegas .

Seven Magic Mountains in Las Vegas, psychedelic stones

Nicknamed “Psychodelic Stonehenge,” Seven Magic Mountains are seven pyramids made out of colorful boulders stacked on top of one another. It’s one of the most unique things to see near Las Vegas. Created by the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, this collection of neon-colored totems can be seen from miles away , and it has become one of the most popular roadside stops among tourists sightseeing near Las Vegas and heading towards Southern California.

Seven Magic Mountains

Seven Magic Mountains is a great place to visit if you want to snap a colorful photo . For a better experience, we recommend arriving earlier because this place quickly gets crowded due to its popularity. Snapping a photo here is also one of the unique things to do in Las Vegas for cheap. Since there’s no admission fee!

To visit, you can rent a car or take Uber, as there are no buses between Las Vegas and Seven Magic Mountains. There are no facilities near the Seven Magic Mountains.

Las Vegas Strip Map 2023 With Interactive Map & Printable PDF

Ryan Ouellette

Last Updated

Navigating the Las Vegas Strip can be confusing, especially if it’s your first time visiting Sin City. So, I created this Vegas Strip map to help you find your way around the Strip. Feel free to download and print it out below.

All the major hotels and casinos on the Strip are included on this 3D map. I even threw in a few of the major hotels that are a block or two off the Strip.

It’s important to note that the distance between each casino is greater than it appears. The Las Vegas Strip is over 4 miles long, and it takes OVER AN HOUR to walk end to end.

On your next visit to Sin City, make sure to save this Las Vegas map.

Las Vegas Strip Hotel Locations Explained

The Vegas Strip is mainly divided into three large sections that will help you navigate it when walking or planning your trip. Let’s go over each one:

Las Vegas South Strip Section

Let’s start with the south section as this is the part closest to the airport and what you would call the ” begining of the strip ” when you drive into town from the airport or the Los Angeles general direction.

The south part of the strip officially starts at the Mandalay Resort and goes north to Planet Hollywood. Here are the hotels you will find on the South Las Vegas Strip:

Four Seasons Hotel

Mandalay Bay

Luxor Hotel and Casino

Signature at MGM Grand

New York New York

Waldorf Astoria

Vdara Resort

Delano Las Vegas

Bally’s Las Vegas

Excalibur hotel

MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel

ARIA Resort

Planet Hollywood

Las Vegas Middle Strip Section

The Middle part of the Strip is right after you pass Planet Hollywood going north until you reach the Palazzo hotel. Let’s see which hotels are located on the Middle Las Vegas Strip:

The Cromwell hotel

The LINQ Hotel

Venetian Hotel

Cosmopolitan

Horseshoe Las Vegas

Caesars Palace

Treasure Island

The Palazzo

Las Vegas North Strip Section

The North part of the Strip starts when you pass the Palazzo hotel and move on further north, on this part you can see newer hotels and less crowds. Let’s see which hotels are located on the North part of the Strip:

Circus Circus

Resorts World

Fontainebleau Resort Casino – Will open Late 2023

Sahara Las Vegas

Downtown Las Vegas Map (Fremont Street)

Many people prefer the casual atmosphere of Downtown Las Vegas to the glitz and glamour of the Strip. And I don’t blame them! The Strip can get overwhelming sometimes. Plus, the table minimums are much lower downtown, making for a better gambling experience.

There are about a dozen major casinos in Downtown Las Vegas, most of them located on Fremont Street. I added all of them to the map down below. You can also download and print a larger version of the Downtown Las Vegas map here .

tourist map of las vegas

If you haven’t visited Downtown Las Vegas, I highly recommend you check it out. There are plenty of things to do in the area besides gambling. Plus, Downtown is much less expensive than the Strip. Most attractions cost less than $30. To see all the fun things that you could be doing in Downtown Las Vegas, check the blog post I put together here.

Las Vegas Transit Maps

You may want to save time by riding the Las Vegas Monorail. If you do plan on taking the monorail, check out the transit maps below.

All the major monorail stations are displayed on the map, so you can easily find them. Again, you’re free to download or print the map out. These resources were created to help people navigate the city more efficiently. Here are the stations featured on the map from north to south:

  • SAHARA Las Vegas Station
  • Westgate Station
  • Las Vegas Convention Center Station
  • Harrah’s/The LINQ Station
  • Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station
  • Bally’s/Paris Station
  • MGM Grand Station

Map of the hotels, casinos and monorail stations on the Las Vegas Strip.

Download Las Vegas Monorail Map

The monorail costs $5 for a 1-ride ticket or $13 for a 24-hour pass . There are also trams that run on the opposite side of the Strip. The trams operate on 3 separate circuits, so they don’t run all the way up the Strip. But they are completely free and offer a second transportation option. I’ll provide a map and list the circuits below:

  • Aria Express Tram: Aria, Shops at Crystals & Park MGM
  • Mandalay Bay Tram: Mandalay Bay, Luxor & Excalibur
  • Mirage-Treasure Island Tram: Mirage & Treasure Island

(This map is interactive, so you can zoom in to get a closer look at all of the stops.)

If you plan on going deeper into the city, Las Vegas also offers a bus option. The Deuce is the most popular and economical bus in Las Vegas. You can purchase a 2-hour pass for $6 , a 24-hour pass for $8 , or 3-day pass for $20 . I’ll include a map of the bus route down below.

tourist map of las vegas

If you’re unfamiliar with the Deuce Bus, then you’ll definitely want to check out the in-depth post I wrote here (you can download the Deuce Bus map on that page).

In that post I also included an interactive map of the Downtown Loop Bus route. You’ll want to use that bus if you plan on visiting Downtown Las Vegas.

Can You Walk The Entire Las Vegas Strip?

When most people refer to “the Strip,” they are talking about the 4-mile stretch that extends from Mandalay Bay at the southern end, all the way to The Strat (formerly Stratosphere) at the northern end.

It takes about an hour and a half to walk the entire Strip end to end. In fact, I don’t recommend that you walk the entire length of the Strip. I would only walk as far north as the Wynn. The stretch between the Wynn and the Stat is pretty empty. It’s much easier to just take a cab (or Uber/Lyft) the rest of the way north. The monorail is an option too.

However, you can walk the lower part of the Strip. If you walk non-stop from Mandalay Bay (southern end) to the Wynn (northern end), it will take about 45 minutes. As I mentioned earlier, the casinos are further away than they appear. When looking at a map they seem deceptively close. Just keep that in mind.

Important Things To Know In Las Vegas

These maps should help you find your way around town. However, knowing where everything is will only get you so far. If you don’t know what each resort has to offer, you’ll still be wasting a ton of time wondering around the city. It pays to know which casinos are worth visiting, and which ones are best avoided.

To help you avoid making the same mistakes I made my first time visiting Las Vegas, I put together several travel guides (linked below).

Each one walks you through valuable time and money saving hacks. Hopefully they will help you get the most out of your Vegas vacation…

Lined with huge entertainment palaces, many built with a defining theme, and home to performance venues, luxury hotel rooms, and fine dining , this is what most people think of when they picture Las Vegas.

One of the must-do's in Las Vegas is walking along the Strip and soaking up the sights. It's particularly impressive at night, when the city is illuminated by an endless succession of glittering neon signs. This area is a never-ending feast for the senses.

Generally speaking, the Las Vegas Strip runs from the Mandalay Bay Hotel to Treasure Island Hotel. To truly experience Las Vegas, stay on The Strip, preferably at one of the major resorts. In old downtown Las Vegas, Fremont Street is a pedestrian-only area with all kinds of unique sites. A five-block section of Fremont Street is covered over with a canopy of LED lights that illuminate the sky in a spectacle of different colors and designs as you walk below.

Known as the Fremont Street Experience, each night a fantastic music and visual show takes place overhead. Street performers and special entertainment acts often perform outdoors in this area. Fremont Street is in downtown Las Vegas, a few kilometers from the Strip.

It is best to take a taxi to reach this area. Or, if you want to truly experience the city at night, take a Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Night Flight ride above the city. Note that hotel pickup is optional on this tour.

Helicopter at the Grand Canyon

For a great aerial view over Las Vegas, or even the Grand Canyon , visitors may want to take a helicopter ride. Las Vegas has a number of companies providing helicopter tours that take visitors over Las Vegas and the Strip, or as far away as the Grand Canyon.

This is a great opportunity for anyone with limited time to see not only Vegas, but the surrounding landscape and one of America's most impressive and famous natural attractions.

If you have a full day for exploring, try a Grand Canyon West Rim Luxury Helicopter Tour . The tour takes approximately three hours, and you'll see the Strip, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and the West Rim area of the Grand Canyon.

Venetian Hotel and Gondola Rides

The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas is located on the Strip, across from Treasure Island. It is one of the city's finest resorts and has many interesting tourist attractions. Inside is a themed shopping arcade built to resemble the city of Venice, complete with blue skies, canals, and gondoliers. The hotel also features recreations of the main attractions found in Venice, such as the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs, along with many others.

The Venetian Gondola Rides are a fun way to see the complex. Situated out in front of the Venetian Hotel, near the sidewalk, boats await passengers who are then taken on a ride by their personable gondolier who sings as they take you through the shopping arcade inside the hotel.

Paris Hotel and the Eiffel Tower

Located on the Strip, Paris Las Vegas is one of the most easily recognized resorts in the city. Mirage Hotel: Erupting Volcano and Secret Garden

The Mirage Hotel is easy to identify while walking along the Strip. In front of the resort is a volcano, which erupts at regular intervals. At night, the glowing red fire and explosions shooting out of the volcano are some of the most unique sites visible from the sidewalk.

Inside the Mirage is Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Although Siegfried & Roy have both died and no longer perform, you can still see a wide variety of exotic animals, including white lions and tigers. The Dolphin Habitat contains a large number of trained dolphins in its 2.5-million-gallon pools.

Shops at Ceasar's Palace

Perhaps one of the best known of all the Las Vegas hotel resorts, Caesar's Palace continues to evolve. Currently Caesar's Palace is a massive complex in the middle of the Strip, complete with every imaginable entertainment option.

The hotel is closely associated with shows held in its huge concert venue known as "The Colosseum." Top performers (which have included Celine Dion and Elton John) perform here for extended periods, and shows are often booked out well in advance. Mob Museum

The Mob Museum, or the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement as it is officially named, is a truly unique and standout museum in Nevada.

The museum is housed in a 1933 Neoclassical building, formerly the US Post Office and Courthouse, that has its own history. It was one of the locations for the famous Kefauver Committee hearings in 1950, which revealed some ugly truths about organized crime in Las Vegas and across the US.

The museum tells the unvarnished history of the Mob in America through engaging, interactive displays and video clips. Exhibits deal with everything from the individual characters and events to the culture and fashion associated with the times.

Neon Museum

The bright and colorful neon signs of Las Vegas have been one of the city's most memorable sights for countless visitors throughout the years. These multi-story advertising beacons became one of the city's claims to fame.

Today, the Neon Museum is working hard to preserve some of the city's history by purchasing, storing, and in some cases, refurbishing the historic neon signs that have gone by the wayside as businesses have faded or new signs have taken the place of older icons.

You can see many of these signs by taking a guided tour at the Neon Museum, where old neon signs are stored outside in a large compound. Guides provide the history of the signs and designs, which have evolved over the years.

Efforts at the museum are ongoing, and signs stand in varying conditions. In some cases, only a portion was saved or found, while others have been restored to their former glory. This contrast makes the museum that much more interesting and gives visitors insight into how much work and upkeep is required with these giant signs.

Address: 770 Las Vegas Boulevard North, Las Vegas, Nevada

Official site: http://www.neonmuseum.org/

Luxor Hotel

Another distinctive theme hotel, at the far southwest end of the Strip, is the Luxor Hotel. Designed in an ancient Egyptian theme, the hotel is shaped like a pyramid, with a sphinx proudly gazing out over the street. The Luxor, like all the major resorts, offers a wide variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities.

One of the more unique Las Vegas attractions is the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Over 250 items recovered from one of the most famous maritime disasters are on display.

One of the standout features of this hotel is the beam of light that projects from the highest point of the pyramid and shoots up into the night sky. It can be seen from almost anywhere in Las Vegas.

Address: 3900 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas

Official site: https://www.luxor.com/en.html

Stratosphere Tower

The STRAT Tower is an unmistakable sight on the Las Vegas skyline. The tower rises up 1,149 feet, and at the very top is the Skypod, the real attraction for visitors.

From the various levels of the Skypod, you'll find a whole host of things to do. These include a variety of heart-pounding thrill rides, including the SkyJump, Big Shot, X Scream, and Insanity.

For those looking for a little less drama, check out the indoor and outdoor observation decks with great views over the city. The Top of the World Restaurant is a great place to grab an excellent meal while soaking up the views of the Las Vegas Strip off in the distance.

Considering getting married? A fully outfitted chapel is available for you to tie the knot in the sky.

The STRAT Tower claims the "tallest freestanding observation tower in the USA."

No experience is necessary.

It's a perfect thing to do as a group or family; no matter your age or fitness, you'll be flying high in no time.

Madame Tussaud's

Madame Tussaud's in Las Vegas is near the escalators leading up to the Venetian Hotel on the Strip. Here, visitors can see their favorite stars preserved forever in wax. In many cases, the figures are so lifelike it is almost eerie.

Figures range from Elvis to Bradley Cooper and Sofia Vergara right though to musical acts like Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus. The overall focus or theme of Madame Tussaud's is on people who are associated with Las Vegas or in show business.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Fans of fast cars will want to head over to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Located in Clark County 15 miles northeast of the Strip, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1,200-acre complex of multiple automobile racing tracks just right for the speed-freak in you.

Ever imagined what it would be like to drive a Lamborghini or Ferrari? Dream no longer. These cars are available to be driven at high speeds around the race track if you've got the cash to spare.

The hotel has all the amenities a visitor could possibly imagine, with varied entertainment, a huge pool area, and a good assortment of restaurants serving a variety of food from around the world.

Generally considered one of the cheapest places to stay on the Strip, the Excalibur frequently offers incredible deals on their website.

Address: 3850 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

If you are searching for that iconic photo of you and your friends in front of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, just head south down the strip about a block past West Russell Road. A large parking lot is located just to the south of the sign, and a winding walkway with trees and greenery takes you to the sign itself.

The sign is actually quite a bit smaller than you would expect. The best photos are taken from the south, with the palm trees framing the sign with the Mandalay Bay Hotel glittering in the background.

Pinball Hall of Fame

Las Vegas is a place where your wallet can certainly take a beating. One place that's easy on the pocket book and still a ton of fun is the Pinball Hall of Fame. An unbelievable number of pinball machines are spread out across 25,000 square feet of space. This brand-new facility recently opened in April 2021 and has become one of the top things to do in town for pinball aficionados.

Wander through the Hall of Fame, and find a machine you like. Just pop in a quarter, and away you go. Vintage machines right through to modern and technologically advanced ones are all available. The Pinball Hall of Fame is easy to locate, just look for the enormous sign just north of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign.

Official site: http://www.pinballmuseum.org/

Shelby America Heritage Center

Gearheads from around the world will want to make a beeline to the Shelby America Heritage Center. On display are over 30 classic cars designed and built by Carol Shelby over the years, along with assorted memorabilia. It's also one of the best free attractions in Las Vegas.

However, the more in-depth behind-the-scenes tour is well worth the modest investment. This guided tour takes you beyond the showroom onto the factory floor to see these muscle cars being hand made by skilled technicians.

Downtown Container Park

For something off the Strip that combines food, fun, and entertainment at a low cost, head to the Downtown Container Park. Here, you'll find nearly 40 shipping containers repurposed into restaurants, shops, and other venues. No matter what you crave, whether it's food, a new outfit, or the latest thing you never knew you needed, there's a good chance you'll find it here.

The Downtown Container Park frequently hosts evening entertainment featuring an ever-changing cast of performers. One of the most exciting things that happens each evening is the awakening of the giant Praying Mantis. Frequently accompanied by a drum circle, this metal insect shoots flames from its antennae as it comes to life.

The Downtown Container Park is located a short distance east of the Fremont Street Experience.

Since most of the action in Las Vegas is focused around a portion of South Las Vegas Boulevard knowns as The Strip, staying on or close to this area is the best option. This is also where most of the huge, themed resort hotels are found. The price of hotels can vary greatly from one week to the next, with rates skyrocketing around big conventions and great discounts available at slower times. Below is a selection of highly rated hotels in good locations .

Luxury Hotels:

  • The Italian-themed Bellagio , easily recognizable by the lake and dancing fountain show in front of the resort, and the Venetian , a recreated Venice-themed complex complete with a canal and gondolas, are both luxury resort hotels in prime locations along the Strip.
  • Caesars Palace , also with a great location along the Strip, is a long time classic in Vegas, and home to the famous Colosseum entertainment venue. All of these resorts have wonderful pools, shopping, and entertainment on site.

Mid-Range Hotels:

  • At the north end of the Strip is Treasure Island , with a nice pool area and a good location within walking distance of the major sites. This is an upper mid-range option that often has reasonable prices.
  • Also in this category is the Park MGM Las Vegas , a quality hotel in a great location that also frequently offers reasonable rates.
  • The Hilton Grand Vacations Suites on the Las Vegas Strip is another quality hotel but it lies a little too far north to walk to the main section of The Strip.

Budget Hotels:

  • The Excalibur is a formerly grand but now somewhat dated resort hotel that often offers good deals. It has a nice pool area and a great location at the south end of the Strip, near the New York, New York.
  • Across the street from the Excalibur, but just off the Strip on Tropicana Avenue, is the Motel 6 Tropicana . This is a basic motel with a pool and an excellent location.
  • The Travelodge by Wyndam Las Vegas Center Strip is another decent budget option, with a good central location slightly off The Strip.

Just beyond the lights and electric vibe of Las Vegas is a spectacular landscape of gorges, red rocks, mountains, and desert scenery. If you have time, be sure to get out and see the sites beyond the city limits.

  • Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam : The two biggest attractions in the Las Vegas surrounding area are these two fantastic sites: one natural, and the other, man-made. The Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas takes visitors, by coach, to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon for three hours of free time. This allows plenty of time to walk along the rim and gaze out from the viewing areas. A short stop at Hoover Dam along the way is also included. Add on a helicopter and boat ride or a stroll on the Grand Canyon Skywalk as optional extras.
  • Red Rock Canyon : Take a four- or six-hour guided Red Rock Canyon Tour to see some of the spectacular red rock scenery and views out over the desert and mountains. This tour offers hotel pickup and drop-off, a tour of the canyon along the 13-mile scenic loop road with stops at the lookout points for the best views, and a boxed lunch.
  • Hiking and Camping: You can find some great hiking trails in the surrounding desert and mountains. For some unique experiences see our articles on the best hiking trails in Valley of Fire State Park and best hikes near Las Vegas . If you are interested in spending a night or two under the stars, and you haven't brought your own camping equipment, you might want to consider a fabulous 3-Day 2-Night Camping Tour from Las Vegas to Zion, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, and the Grand Canyon . This fully escorted camping trip takes you to the major highlights of the Southwest and includes Jeep tours, and the option for a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. If you have your own camping equipment and are trying to figure out the best places to set up camp, see our list of the best campgrounds near Las Vegas .
  • Self Drive Excursions: Explore nearby towns and incredible natural areas with our Top-Rated Day Trips from Las Vegas article.

Maps of best attractions in Las Vegas, USA

Las Vegas maps will guide you to the best destinations in this entertaining city. Most visitors never leave the Strip at all, except perhaps for a day-trip to the Grand Canyon, and many barely explore beyond their own hotel and its immediate neighbours. Each of these monsters is much more than a mere hotel or casino. They're extraordinary places, self-contained fantasy lands of high camp and genuine excitement that can stretch as much as a mile from end to end. As well as luxurious accommodation, each holds half a dozen or more high-class restaurants, a lavish theatre or two, an array of swimming pools, several bars and nightclubs, and perhaps a roller-coaster or gallery or aquarium. Navigating your way through the sensory overload that is Sin City without exhausting yourself should be a priority; you are, after all on vacation. All you need to ensure an enjoyable trip to Las Vegas is some advance planning using our detailed maps. Then, just walk out onto the Strip and wonder at the delirious architecture, with appropriated landmarks like the Eiffel Tower at Paris and the Sphinx at Luxor. Get your camera ready for the delightful dancing waters of the Fountains at Bellagio and the lava-spewing drama of the Mirage Volcano; or pull out your wallet and try your luck in one of the dozens of opulent casinos. Our maps will help you find the detailed locations of the must-see sights including Downtown Fremont Street Experience, Stratosphere, Wynn, Venetian, MGM Grand, Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, Treasure Island - just click on a selected map to access a high resolution version that can be downloaded and printed; or saved onto your mobile device.

Map of top 10 attractions in Las Vegas

The typical top ten attractions are listed below. You can find the detailed locations of these places on the maps above.

  • Stroll on the Strip after dark - You haven't really seen Las Vegas until you've seen it at night. This neon wonderland is the world's greatest sound and-light show. Begin at Luxor and work your way past the incredible hotels and their attractions. Go all the way to the Stratosphere Tower for a bird's-eye view of the city from more than 1,000 feet up. Make plenty of stops en route to see the Mirage Volcano erupt, take a photo of the full moon over the Eiffel Tower, and marvel at the choreographed water-fountain ballet at Bellagio.
  • Watch the water dance at the Bellagio fountains - This intricately choreographed water ballet would be worth repeated viewings even if they charged to see it. The fact that they don't makes it an almost perfect Vegas experience.
  • Experience the Fremont Street - How do you persuade tourists it's safe to walk the downtown streets at night? Simple – you put a roof over the lot and turn it into a massive light show display. Now you can also fly the Slotzilla zip line just under the Fremont Street roof.
  • See the Volcano eruption - When the free Mirage Volcano first 'erupted' in 1989, shooting flames and faux lava into the sky, it literally stopped traffic on the Strip. That it doesn't today only means that it has more competition for your attention, not that it is any less fun.
  • Play the casino penny slot machine - The interior of each lavish hotel casino is more outrageous and giggle-inducing than the last. Just when you think they can't possibly top themselves, they do. From Venice to Paris, from New York City to the Manhattan-style chic of CityCenter, it is all, completely and uniquely, Las Vegas.
  • Visit one of the 'only in Vegas' museums - Go nuclear at the National Atomic Testing Museum, go naughty at the Erotic Heritage Museum, or get 'made' at the Mob Museum.
  • See the Cirque du Soleil performance - With over five permanent shows on the Strip, and more on the way, the Canadian circus/theatre troupe has transformed Las Vegas entertainment scene.
  • Visit the Grand Canal - There's more to see and do at the Venetian than perhaps any other casino in town, but it's the absurd Grand Canal, with its gondolas, bridges, squares and high-class shops and restaurants, that you'll be telling the folks back home about.
  • Have a breakfast buffet - Whether your tastes run towards the refinement of Wynn Las Vegas or the 1950s kitsch of the Imperial Palace, you can't leave Las Vegas without sampling at least one all-you-can-eat buffet.
  • Get away from it all - Las Vegas can be overwhelming, so be sure to put some time on your itinerary to find your Zen by visiting the Valley of Fire State Park, Red Rock Canyon, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam.
  • Other must-do experiences include: seeing the sharks at the Shark Reef Aquarium; taking the New York-New York roller coaster; partying at the pool; going clubbing, regenerating at the spa.

Local Strolls: 10K steps on the Vegas strip

Jesse Scott

Delve into Local Strolls, a series where writers reveal their favorite walks in their hometowns. Each route offers a snapshot of urban life, guiding you to lesser-known attractions and cherished local spots. Here, Jesse Scott outlines the best route for exploring Las Vegas's iconic Strip on foot.

While there is so much more to appreciate about Las Vegas beyond its glitzy, mega-casino lined Strip, let’s be real here: the Strip is Las Vegas’ main attraction and is a total must for newbies and veterans alike. It is constantly evolving – be it imploding classic casinos to build a major league baseball stadium (RIP, the Tropicana in 2024 to make way for the Athletics’ pending baseball stadium) or new restaurants/shops celebrating grand openings in the quietest nooks of resorts.

Often jammed with traffic and construction 24/7, you certainly don’t want to drive it ... unless you’re passing through town for a strictly scenic drive or want to crawl 5mph to your dinner reservation. The Strip was made for strolling and there is an extensive roadside network of super-wide sidewalks, crosswalks, pedestrian bridges and outdoor escalators for doing just that.

The beauty of a Strip stroll is you can stop for a reprieve at any moment, coming in the form of hitting a blackjack table right inside the Flamingo ’s Strip-side entrance or snagging a yard-long frozen cocktail at one of several Fat Tuesdays (and taking it with you – it’s legal). As for what to bring with you, Las Vegas is smack-dab in the middle of a desert. Don’t make the common mistake of having dehydration sneak up on you or sunburn – bring water and sunscreen if you’re walking during the day.

We've narrowed down the thousands upon thousands of dining, drinking, entertainment and logistical routes to choose from along the Strip to bring you the best itinerary for your Vegas stroll.

The core of the Strip runs from the golden-windowed Mandalay Bay on the southern end, north to Sydney Tower-resemblant the STRAT  – it’s approximately 4.3 miles one way. Things do get a bit more spread out north of the Wynn . So, if you’re looking to shave off some stroll mileage, it’s 2.9 miles one way – or about an hour – without any stops from Mandalay Bay to the Wynn. Start your trip north by visiting Mandalay's  Shark Reef Aquarium , which has more than 2000 critters to gawk at within its clear glass tunnel confines.

The walk: From Mandalay Bay, there is an indoor path connecting the resort with the neighboring pyramid-themed Luxor and medieval castle-esque Excalibur . Once you’ve reached Excalibur, cross a pedestrian bridge over Tropicana Ave and you’ve arrived at New York-New York .

Ride the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York

This is Vegas, so why not get an in-ride roller coaster view of what’s ahead? The Big Apple Coaster weaves through an NYC-resemblant skyline with unique vistas of the iconic green mass, the MGM Grand across the street. The way it contrasts with the gray and oft-snow capped mountains in the distance is always beautiful.

The walk: Beyond New York-New York, hug the west side of the Strip, passing by T-Mobile Arena (the home of the Vegas Golden Knights), the Shops at Crystals super-luxe shopping corridor and Aria until you arrive at the Cosmopolitan .

A bar decorated with lots of hanging lights

Stop for photo ops and pizza at the Cosmopolitan

One of the quirkier photos you’ll take on the Strip is inside a giant black high-heel at the Cosmopolitan, just off the Strip entrance on the casino floor. Equally as dazzling and Instagram-worthy is its Chandelier Lounge . If hunger is beckoning, head up to level three and see if you can find the totally unlabeled Secret Pizza for a New York-style slice.

The walk: Continue north and pause between the towering fountains outside the Bellagio and, across the street, the Eiffel Tower replica attached to Paris Las Vegas . At Flamingo Rd, take the escalators and crosswalks to end up on the eastern side of the Strip until you arrive at Flamingo – it’s across the street from the sprawling Caesars Palace and adjacent Forum Shops .

Watch flamingos frolic and take in a little Vegas history

Las Vegas – especially the Strip – loves to tear things down and build anew. Amid all the contemporary glitz, the pink-windowed Flamingo is the oldest on the Strip, dating back to 1946. Beyond its chorus of slot machines, head to the free Flamingo Wildlife Habitat on-property where Chilean flamingos saunter about and giant koi fish swim in various ponds.

The walk: Outside of the Flamingo’s northern entrance is the pedestrian-only LINQ Promenade . At its eastern end is the High Roller – the largest observation wheel in the US – and, before then, O’Shea’s , which is renowned for its ultra-creamy Frozen Baileys concoction. Once you're refreshed, continue north, pass by the Mardi Gras-themed Harrah’s and arrive at the Venetian Resort .

Coast on a gondola through the Venetian

Off the Grand Canal Shoppes inside the Venetian, you can book a gondola ride that will weave you through sky-painted ceilings, under low bridges and past Roman-inspired architecture aplenty. There is an outdoor gondola experience, too, with vistas of the pirate-themed Treasure Island across the street. Indoor or outdoor, prepare to be serenaded by a singing gondolier.

The walk: Inside, stroll through the Venetian and its neighboring Palazzo until you reach a pedestrian overpass to the Wynn. For a quick detour, the biggest LED screen on Earth and entertainment venue, the Sphere , is right there to stare at.

Fountains lit up at night in front of a casino

Watch the Lake of Dreams fountain show at the Wynn

Whereas tickets to most shows on the Strip start in the upper-two or lower three-figures, there is a free one at the Wynn that often goes under the radar. Lake of Dreams is a multifaceted water attraction set on three acres, involving a 90ft waterfall, pine trees and a 5000-plus LED light spectacle. It’s best viewed from Bar Parasol , which has an outdoor patio and extensive cocktail menu.

The walk: If you’ve opted to end your walk at the Wynn, well, it’s time to either wander back south on the Strip, stroll to your hotel or snag a taxi/Uber/Lyft. If you still have some energy left in the tank, the “North Strip” is home to two of Las Vegas’ newest casino-resorts, Resorts World Las Vegas and Fontainebleau Las Vegas .

Bonus stop: dine like a baller at Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the tallest building in the entire state of Nevada , officially opened its doors in late 2023. It was a celebrity-filled spectacle with a Justin Timberlake private performance and appearances by the likes of Cher, Tom Brady, Sylvester Stallone and Kim Kardashian. The buzz at the Miami-inspired spot continues on the culinary front with buzzy, club-esque restaurants from Groot Hospitality , like Komodo and Papi Steak. For the ultimate Vegas splurge, roll with a Beef Case at Papi Steak – a 55-ounce Wagyu tomahawk steak that’s presented in a golden briefcase.

One of the most anticipated hotel openings in Las Vegas, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas has arrived. The spectacular resort’s grandeur and style has changed the Las Vegas skyline. As one of the tallest buildings in Nevada, with 67 floors, over 3,600 rooms, convention space, dozens of restaurants, an expansive casino and more, it’s enormous in scale – and extensive in luxury.

The opulence alone makes this resort worth a visit, but there’s more. You could quite easily check in to the resort and not leave for a very long time. There is that much to do, see, eat and drink.

Step into the brand new and luxurious casino floor at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Start with the casino .

Even if you’re staying at another hotel, exploring the casino at Fontainebleau Las Vegas needs to be on your list of “things to do in Las Vegas” for its sheer opulence if nothing else.

The massive and monumental form of the resort towers over the neighboring buildings. And when you enter through the porte-cochere, the expansive lobby with its soaring domed ceiling continues to impress, magnificent in style and shine. Walk through the lobby and around the blue and gold mosaic wall toward the casino and enter a magical space.

The casino is stunning. Its design brings a bit of the beach to the Nevada desert, with blue tones and soft lighting that evoke a sense of water. Fontainebleau means fountain of beautiful water , after all. But it’s not only the colors. The architectural details and curvature of the space throughout the casino immerse you in the soothing sense of a trickling fountain.

Beyond the setting, this casino has much to offer at 150,000 square feet with 1,300 slot machines, 150 table games and countless comfortable chairs. Cozy up to the classic machines you recognize and discover others new to you. Or, if you’re a high roller, high-limit slots can be found in an elegant space set apart from the busy casino floor. There’s also The Tavern , a place to wager on your favorite sports team while munching on tasty favorite pub fare. For a more sophisticated setting, sink into one of the cozy chairs at the Solo Club for roulette and blackjack while sipping on a classic cocktail.

Rooms and suites designed to pamper

Are you considering Fontainebleau for where to stay in Las Vegas? If you want to not only visit, but stay, the resort offers luxurious rooms and suites, many with huge windows and stunning views. The rooms will spoil you with lush robes and towels, and also with little details such as control panels that let you set mood lighting or open and close the drapes without getting out of bed. For more lavishness, choose the Fleur de Lis Collection, a hotel within the hotel that takes luxury to a whole new level.

For when you’ve worked up an appetite

When it’s a meal you’re after, the dozens of restaurants within the resort range from fine dining in a luxurious setting to a quick bite from a range of small eateries.

For European-inspired dining

Choose French cuisine and dine at La Fontaine for brunch or dinner. Or opt for a remarkable dining experience at Mother Wolf , where James Beard award-winning chef Evan Funke has created a menu focused on traditional Roman cuisine, including wood-fired pizzas, farm-fresh antipasti and plates of pasta you’ll never forget.

For Asian-inspired dining

Komodo offers delicious takes on Southeast Asian cuisine as well as specialty cocktails. It’s worth dining here for the exotic atmosphere alone, with its touches of lush greenery, deep reds and unique architectural details. ITO is an omakase dining experience, meaning the chef selects the dishes for you, offering sushi at an intimate 12-seat counter. Chyna Club serves eclectic Chinese cuisine in a cozy, clubby atmosphere. Finally, KYU focuses on interpretative Asian cooking, influenced by cuisines around the world, with grilled meats and smoke-roasted fish.

For American cuisine

If you want something meatier, you’ll find two steakhouses here. Don’s Prime is a classic steakhouse with white linen tablecloths and specialty steaks dry-aged up to 120 days, plus Wagyu from both the U.S. and Japan. Papi Steak also offers USDA and Wagyu steak, but in a setting dripping with glamour reminiscent of the golden age of Hollywood. You’ll also find seafood on the indulgent menu for those so inclined.

For a quick bite

For a wide range of grab-and-go choices, try the Promenade food hall, where you’ll have your pick from burgers and bagels to tacos, pizzas, sandwiches and more. There’s also Vida , a casual eatery open for breakfast and lunch, serving American dishes in a bright and cheery setting.

Other ways to play – by day

The resort features entertainment options far beyond the casino floor. For daytime fun during pool season, party at the adults-only LIV Beach day club on the pool deck. Fridays and Saturdays at this space promise live music, cocktails and more – all to take in while soaking in a breathtaking setting.

Beyond the day club, the Oasis Pool Deck spreads out over six acres with seven distinct areas, four bars, two restaurants and a gaming area. The Grand Pool is made up of three bodies of water, with the Bleau Isle bar at the center serving up high-octane music and cocktails. FB Slims goes all retro, and Gigi’s is a Mediterranean-style escape with cabanas and a dipping pool. The VIP Legacy Pool offers huge cabanas and a dedicated server, while the Bleautopia pool has vintage lawn games like croquet.

If high-end retail is on your wish list, visit some (or all) of the luxury brands you’ll find throughout the first and second levels of the hotel. Shop jewelry, Italian-designer shoes and fashions, chocolates, accessories, fragrances, beachwear and more.

Ways to light up the night

For night-time entertainment, LIV Las Vegas bedazzles. This two-level nightclub features A-list DJs for a night out full of great music, a packed dance floor, spectacular special effects, and everything you expect from a world-class nightclub designed to entertain and delight.

For concerts and special events, the BleauLive Theater is an intimate space with room for 3,800 attendees. Justin Timberlake performed at its grand opening, while other fantastic touring acts continue to be announced for the sparkling new concert venue.

Aaaahhhhhh … the spa!

If dancing the night away leaves you ready for a bit of pampering, the Lapis Spa & Wellness awaits. This two-level spa offers luxurious indulgence beyond measure. You’ll find the usual massage and facial choices, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs, but also interesting additions such as a salt sauna and snow shower. To make the most of the options, choose a Celestial Waters Passport, a four-hour pool experience alternating between hot and cold plunges.

The spa is divided into men’s and women’s sections, but offers a huge coed area and options for couples. If your list of things to do in Las Vegas includes only a bit of pampering or you’re short on time, convenient arm and leg massages are available.

Staying fit at Fontainebleau

Want to keep up with your workout regimen? The resort also offers a 14,000-square-foot fitness center that looks out over the Strip via floor-to-ceiling windows. The exercise equipment choices will astound you, as this fitness center might have more to offer than your gym back home. You can work out, opt for yoga, do some Pilates or even take a circuit training class.

And if neither the spa nor a good workout provides the pick-me-up you seek, stop in the NutriDrip IV Drip Lounge for some revitalization.

When you’ve worked up a thirst

When it’s simply a sipper you’re after, you can do a bar crawl within the Fontainebleau with ease. And the first bar you must visit is Collins , located just off the lobby. There you’ll find both classic elegance and cocktails.

A visit to Fontainebleau Las Vegas must also include a drink at Bleau Bar , the centerpiece (and heart) of the resort’s casino. The opulent space’s beyond-extravagant chandelier alone is worth the experience. For someplace quieter, head to Azul for unique tequilas and mezcals. Another option is Nowhere , an ever-changing cocktail lounge where your first visit will be different from the next.

If somehow you do run out of things to do at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, you know the city will offer other options for you. See the dozens of ideas in this monthly guide , or check out what’s up and coming in Las Vegas entertainment .

With annual passenger traffic exceeding 51 million, Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is the eighth-busiest airport in the U.S. A popular destination for both business and leisure, passengers often choose to relax in one of the airport’s 6 lounges.

LAS is a large airport, with its 2 terminals located quite a distance from each other. Thankfully, the airport has a tram inside the secure area, allowing passengers to move between the terminals and concourses to utilize all facilities.

Passengers using the tram are not required to re-clear security, so this offers the freedom of moving between terminals for lounge access.

With a Priority Pass Select membership, you’ll have access to over 1,400 airport lounges worldwide — including the 2 Priority Pass lounges at LAS. So which credit cards give you access to Priority Pass lounges?

Our top option is the Chase Sapphire Reserve ® , which not only includes access to Priority Pass lounges but Priority Pass restaurants as well. At a Priority Pass restaurant, you will receive a $28 credit towards your bill, and $56 when dining with a guest. This benefit is limited to 2 guests, so $56 is the most you can receive.

Another excellent option is the Amex Platinum card . While it does not work for Priority Pass restaurants, it more than makes up for it in terms of the total lounges you’ll have access to. In addition to Priority Pass lounges upon enrollment, you can also visit Amex Centurion lounges ,  Plaza Premium Lounges ,  Delta Sky Clubs (when flying Delta), Escape Lounges , and more. See our article which goes into detail about the lounges you can access with the Amex Platinum card .

Here are some other great credit card options that allow cardholders to visit Priority Pass lounges:

  • Amex Business Platinum card
  • Citi Prestige ® Card
  • Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant ® American Express ® Card
  • U.S. Bank Altitude™ Reserve Visa Infinite ® Card

Although there isn’t a great deal of choice when it comes to lounges at Harry Reid International Airport, there are a few that you can purchase single-visit access to. The Club LAS lounges are available to passengers traveling on any airline, while passengers traveling on a Star Alliance airline may purchase entry to the United Club.

The Centurion Lounge is a firm favorite with travelers that have the applicable credit cards that permit entry, with the option to purchase guest passes for a reasonable fee.
