Discovery Quest (The Sims FreePlay)

Discovery Quests in The Sims FreePlay are quests that one can complete at the same time as main quests. They usually unlock by building a place or finding a person to start. There are some quests that can be done in time-limit. Note that the discovery quest must be done one at a time.

This quest starts after you built the Sorcerous Supplies from level 8 onward. After completing this quest, you will unlock spell casting hobby. 7-day time limit to unlock a pet dragon.

• Buy a crystal ball (S 5000) from Sorcerous supplies
• Place a crystal ball in a house (you will find it in the decorations section of your inventory once you have brought it)
• Look into the crystal ball- 30 seconds
• Gaze into the crystal ball- 30 seconds
• Pick up the magic wand- 2 seconds
• Unlock the door to the wand room: Randomly Rearrange- 2 hours 30 minutes
• Pick up the magic wand- 30 seconds (magic wand podium- pictured below)

• Ask the Wizard- 1 minute (in park)
• Read real world magic- 1 hour (bookshelf)
• Invite a sim to a dinner party- 3 hours 15 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
• Send two sims to the park.
• Explain about imagination- 5 hours 15 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
• Have two sims sit at the dinner table- 5 minutes (in park) GLITCH- if your sims are unable to sit at the table, leave the park and go back to your sims need to sit down quickly before the other characters can.

• Watch the dancing couple - 2 minutes
• Enthuse to a sim about dancers- 12 seconds
• Talk to the dancers- 15 minutes
• Take the car at the park to the villa
• Explore the villa - 2 hours
• Have 5 sims at the villa (use whistle at your sim tracker)
• Eat Hors D’oeures- 10 minutes (on the table in the villa)
• Have 5 sims cheer on the fantasias- 2 minutes
• Have 2 pairs of Sims (2 pairs = 4 Sims) - 10 hours 30 minutes
• Thank the fantasia’s- 1 minute (select interaction with one of them)
• Have all sims leave the villa (click on the car to drive home)

Sim Springs – New Town and Neighborhood

You’ve been asking for more places to build without demolishing all of your favorite lots in SimTown! Well, our game team have been hard at work creating a new town and neighborhood for you to do just that! Welcome to Sim Springs – a huge tumbleweed town with untapped potential waiting for your Sims to rebuild it from the ground up! Do your Sims have what it takes to save Sim Springs from an oily fate?

Available to all players from Level 20, visit the new bus stop in SimTown to travel to Sim Springs. The brand-new map location is divided up into a series of neighborhoods, with the first neighborhood launching in this update called Sandy Suburbs. It isn't quite a blank slate though - there are four “fixer upper” house lots in Sandy Suburbs that all need a little bit of love, so it's time to renovate! As you upgrade and improve the town to make it a better place for your Sims to live, you’ll see visual upgrades that transform it into a real oasis!

It’s up to you to upgrade the lots, then improve the Sandy Suburbs neighborhood, then finally Sim Springs! The fourth lot in each neighborhood will always be a special one – a brand new ‘Community Lot’ type!

There are many rewards for upgrading Sim Springs, which also include brand new autonomy skills for your Sims! Sims of all age groups will be able to read books, use a laptop and study at a desk everywhere once you’ve unlocked them.

Influence Island Events!

‘Captivating Coast’ Live Event

Over the past few updates, we’ve made changes to the visibility of a number of, ‘Home Store’ categories! Because your Sims can unlock an adorable new dog kennel and cat bed in our latest SimChase Season 30 event, we’re surfacing the 'Pets’ category! If you haven’t unlocked this feature, it'll be locked/greyed out, but with clear instructions on the requirements and path you’ll need to take to access the 'A Puppy Odyssey’ Quest!

Tropical Romance Island

Tropical Romance Island  is the first Community Event in The Sims FreePlay during the Romance Update in February 2016 and for a second time in the French Romance Update. The event unlocks new items and areas on an island. It lasts for 14 days.  

When the timer for the 14 days ends, there will be a 7 day period afterwards to purchase any of the remaining prizes. You will not be able to collect anymore fruit resources or constructor coins. Once the timer for that period ends, the resources will convert into Simoleons .  

Available: 2nd - 15th February 2016 and 26th February - 11th March 2017.

Tutorial [ ]

The sea voyage boat

The tutorial is the same for all Live/Community Events.

• Plant a banana tree
• Collect bananas (tap on the tree - collect 50 bananas for 12 seconds)
• Buy the tropical romance island ticket (tap 'Purchase' in the Personal Progress tab)
• Build the Sea Voyage Ship (found on the side near Premium lots near the Mysterious Island bridge)
• Visit the Tropical Romance Island (tap on the boat)
• Unlock the Ultimate Relaxation Pack (collect 2450 bananas)
• Use the event spin flower
• Check community progress (tap on the button in the corner and tap on the tab with a globe)
• Check daily goals (tap on the button and tap on the first tab with a tick)
• Collect bonuses (wait a few minutes and fruit will float above your Sims' head; tap on it)
• Continue collecting items

Coin flower patch [ ]

The coin flower patch (shown right) is used to earn Constructor Coins. Constructor coins (CC for short) are the fifth required resource alongside the craft resources to progress along the bar and earn the prizes. During the tutorial (shown above) the first spin from the patch is free; after that you can either spend 450 bananas or 25 SPs to earn constructor coins. Each Live/Community Event has the same garden patch, except it changes colour and uses a different resource (for example, in the Prince and the Pocket Sized Princess event, the patch was purple and required 450 daisies to use).

There are four different fruit plants, each with different amounts but the same times. You use these to progress through the Personal Progress and Community Progress bars to unlock and purchase prizes.

‘I just messed up’: 18-year-old arrested in connection to fatal hit-and-run involving college student

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ( WCTV /Gray News) - A woman who was hit by a vehicle and killed Monday evening on the west side of Tallahassee has been identified as a Florida State University sophomore.

An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection to the fatal incident.

A Florida State University spokesperson identified the victim as 20-year-old Elizabeth “Ellie” Sims. She was hit by a car while walking near West Pensacola Street.

The Tallahassee Police Department said the fatal crash happened around 6:40 p.m. Monday.

Sims, a sophomore, was from Franklin, Tennessee, and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, according to the university’s spokesperson.

The sorority chapter released a statement about Sims on Tuesday afternoon, which read in part, “You were truly the epitome of an Alpha Chi Omega: involved with FSU Honors College, FSU CHAW, an avid runner, an entrepreneurship student, and a fashionista. We will forever miss your infectious smile, jamming out while meal prepping in the kitchenette and positive presence that lit up every room. Beta Eta will not be the same without you, but your legacy will live on….”

Authorities announced Tuesday that 18-year-old Willis Trueblood Jr. was arrested for leaving the scene of the fatal hit-and-run.

Witnesses told investigators that Sims was utilizing the crosswalk when she was hit by Trueblood, according to Tallahassee police.

Police said Trueblood and the vehicle involved were both located less than two hours after the incident in southwest Tallahassee. Court records indicated officers found the damaged vehicle at the intersection of Liberty Street and Holton Street.

The vehicle “had damage to its hood and windshield consistent with the crash, as well as what appeared to be blood and hair in the windshield,” according to court documents.

Trueblood entered a written plea of not guilty in connection to the incident. He told detectives that right before the incident unfolded, he had his visor down in his vehicle due to the sun beaming his way during “five or six o’clock traffic,” per court records.

Trueblood also said, according to records, he remembered two vehicles in front of him in the left lane that he was going to turn into and get behind. That’s when Trueblood said Sims hit the car.

“I didn’t even see her coming. I didn’t know what to do, so I just left,” Trueblood told detectives.

When detectives asked him why he left the scene, Trueblood stated because he “was panicking.”

Trueblood described being scared and driving to a friend’s house where he called a parent, according to court records.

“I hit somebody and I just messed up,” Trueblood allegedly said to crash investigators.

Florida State University President Richard McCullough released a statement Tuesday regarding Sims’ death. It said, “We are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking loss of one of our students, Elizabeth “Ellie” Sims, who was killed Monday when she was struck by a vehicle near campus. Our thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends during this difficult time. Counseling services are available to anyone in the Florida State University family who would like support as we navigate this tragedy together. I encourage anyone struggling with this loss to reach out for assistance.”

NEW PREGNANCY EVENT

There are new time limited prizes when you complete the 9 day pregnancy event in the time limit and earn the baby bonus between 12th-21st May

If you start the 9 day pregnancy event anytime during the time frame you have the chance of earning the maternity items in that pack if you complete the event in the time limit, for example if you start a pregnancy event on the 21st May and complete in the time limit you will earn the items above

You need to have completed the first pregnancy event in the A Bump-y Ride Quest before you can earn the maternity prizes

Returning Events and Quests?

The Sassy Stockings Hobby Event (not available yet) will be back on 28th April for 7 days, complete the fashion designer hobby to unlock all the stockings for your feminine adult sims

The Snow Problem Player Favourite Quest (not available yet) will be back between 1st- 16th May, start anytime within these two dates to get the full 13 day time limit to unlock the Snow Chalet template

The Lovely Lattices Live Event (not available yet) will return on 21st May for 10 days, complete in the time limit to unlock garden themed items and the Lovely Lattices house template
