Mercruiser 6.2L 300hp Fuel Injected MPI Engine and Bravo 3 sterndrive Repowered into a 23ft Chivers Safari by Hitech Marine
Twin Volvo penta engines were removed from this vessel and Hitech Marine cut down the large engine hatch giving much more deck room to rear of this popular WA fishing boat. A high Torque Fuel injected Mercruiser V8 engine was then installed along with upgraded controls, instrumentation and Hydraulic Steering. The Mercruiser 6.2L now pushes this Heavy Offshore Fishing boat along at a blistering 41.4 knots/77kph when opened up. At a cruising speed of 26knots/48kph the fuel efficient Mercruiser MPI 6.2 uses 48lph or 1.00 litre per KM A Bravo 3 twin prop drive unit offers increased stern lift whilst holding the heavy hull straight and true in tough offshore conditions.
