Channing Tatum announces the Magic Mike Live Arena Tour will tour the UK in 2022.

The Magic Mike Arena Tour will open in May 2022.  With more dancers, bigger numbers and more spectacle than ever before, this will be the first time a live performance of Magic Mike has ever been staged outside of an intimate, cabaret-style space.  The Arena Tour will open in Belfast on 6 May, followed by Glasgow, Aberdeen, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and finishing in Liverpool. Tickets go on sale 9am 24 March 2022

Following two hugely successful films starring Channing Tatum and the hit Live show at the Theatre at the Hippodrome Casino in London, the show’s producers and creative team felt it was time to develop a new Magic Mike production to bring to people in other parts of the UK to celebrate the rebirth of live entertainment.

Magic Mike Live Co-Director Alison Faulk said, “This is not Magic Mike Live with more seats. Our arena tour is something totally different. After a year of isolation and frustration, we want to give women something that makes them feel alive again… a sort of celebratory revival that makes them want to stand on their chairs, dance with their friends and feel connected to each other. The show is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of togetherness, sexuality and freedom that only an arena can hold. We want our guys to give our fans the best night of their lives with a party they’ll never forget.”

Conceived by Channing Tatum and co-directed by Channing Tatum and Alison Faulk, Magic Mike Live , which has already wowed over 200,000 people in London alone and almost 750,000 worldwide, is a large-scale, live production show based on the hit films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL , which opened at The Theatre at the Hippodrome Casino in London’s Leicester Square in November 2018. Magic Mike Live will be resuming its successful London run on 21 May 2021 .

The Magic Mike Arena Tour is a new project that builds on the dance, spectacle and fun of the much-loved films and London show. It will be a complete evening of unparalleled entertainment for guests aged 18 and up. A group of extraordinary artists from around the world will perform a sultry dance and acrobatic spectacular on an incredible scale. Sexy dance routines intertwined with one-of-a-kind acts, will be presented by a diverse cast of performers from around the world.  The Arena Tour will feature an elaborate series of stages and runways spanning the length of the arena floor, punctuated by massive screens, incredible visual effects, a live DJ, and of course some of the hottest, most talented male dancers in the world. It’s a celebration of fun and freedom that will blow the roof off the arena.

Magic Mike The Arena Tour will be directed by Magic Mike Live co-director Alison Faulk, with choreography by Alison Faulk and co-direction and choreography by Teresa Espinosa and Luke Broadlick. The scenic design is by Rob Bissinger and Anita LaScala (Arda Studio), with costume design by Marina Toybina, lighting design by Philip Gladwell and video design by Luke Halls. The musical supervisor and composer is Jack Rayner, with sound design by Nick Kourtides.  Dreya Weber is the aerial choreographer & aerial apparatus designer. Vincent Marini is Executive Producing.

Magic Mike Live has become an international sensation since opening in Las Vegas in April 2017.  In addition to breaking box office records and performing to sold-out audiences in Las Vegas and London, the show premiered in Berlin in 2020 and the Australia national tour opened in Sydney in December 2020.

Experience the Magic Mike Live Show for a spectacular ladies’ night out

Magic Mike Live  is a blend of hot dancing, stripping and acrobatics especially meant for women’s entertainment . Introduced and directed by Channing Tatum, who played the role of a stripper in the movie Magic Mike, morphed a male stripping show into an extraordinary art form, fulfilling women’s desires.

This live event was displayed on plenty of occasions in the UK as well as the US after the success of the movies Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL. The experience is sensual and exhilarating, the live show went on to win audiences’ hearts. Loosely based on the concept of the popular American comedy-drama Magic Mike, this show houses dancers with chiselled hot bodies, hailing from different parts of the world.

Directed by Steven Soderberg, the movie was released by Warner Bros and premiered in the Los Angeles Film Festival in 2012. The live show too is hosted on different events with a 90-minute performance designed for ladies’ fun and entertainment.

The creative team of the Magic Mike Show

The  Magic Mike Live  is incomplete without choreographers, designers, composers, producers and more. Teresa Espinosa, Alison Faulk and Luke Broadlick are the foremost choreographers. Her love for dance from a tender age has forced Alison to collaborate with Tatum to choreograph and co-direct the live show.

Dreya Weber is a renowned aerial choreographer who is also associated with Magic Mike Show. Recently, she has choreographed for Cher and Pink’s Billboard Awards performance. The music is by Jack Rayner who works as a remixer and editor for America’s Got Talent. Rob Bissinger and Anita La Scala are the scenic designers. They co-founded ARDA Studio, providing international spectacles and theatrical presentations with countless production design and concepts.

Marina Toybina, a four-time Emmy Award-winner, designs costumes for the performers. She has also created magical costumes for Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj, P!NK, Usher, NeYo and more. Candice Fox and Katie Zanca are into casting.

Magic Mike is a dance show consisting of stripping, dancing, acrobatics, lap dances as well as other twists, leaving women to gaze at hot, muscular men for over an hour. Dance styles range from “robot” to “street” and “hip-hop” with some outstanding twists and moves. CHANNING TATUM’S MAGIC MIKE LAUNCHES SPECTACULAR NEW ARENA TOUR

Magic Mike the Arena Tour will be arriving in Aberdeen at P&J Live on Thursday 12th May 2022 . With more dancers, bigger numbers and more spectacle than ever before, this will be the first time a live performance of Magic Mike has ever been staged outside of an intimate, cabaret-style space.

Conceived by Channing Tatum and co-directed by Channing Tatum and Alison Faulk, Magic Mike Live which has already wowed over 200,000 people in London alone and almost 750,000 worldwide, is a large-scale, live production show based on the hit films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL, which opened at The Theatre at the Hippodrome Casino in London’s Leicester Square in November 2018.

Magic Mike the Arena Tour is a new project that builds on the dance, spectacle and fun of the much-loved films and London show. It will be a complete evening of unparalleled entertainment for guests aged 18 and up. A group of extraordinary artists from around the world will perform a sultry dance and acrobatic spectacular on an incredible scale. Sexy dance routines intertwined with one-of-a-kind acts, will be presented by a diverse cast of performers from around the world.

The Arena Tour will feature an elaborate series of stages and runways spanning the length of the arena floor, punctuated by massive screens, incredible visual effects, a live DJ, and of course some of the hottest, most talented male dancers in the world. It’s a celebration of fun and freedom that will blow the roof off the arena.

Magic Mike The Arena Tour will be directed by Magic Mike Live co-director Alison Faulk, with choreography by Alison Faulk and co-direction and choreography by Teresa Espinosa and Luke Broadlick. The scenic design is by Rob Bissinger and Anita LaScala (Arda Studio), with costume design by Marina Toybina, lighting design by Philip Gladwell and video design by Luke Halls. The musical supervisor and composer is Jack Rayner, with sound design by Nick Kourtides. Dreya Weber is the aerial choreographer & aerial apparatus designer. Vincent Marini is Executive Producing.

Magic Mike Live has become an international sensation since opening in Las Vegas in April 2017. In addition to breaking box office records and performing to sold-out audiences in Las Vegas and London, the show premiered in Berlin in 2020 and the Australia national tour opened in Sydney in December 2020.

Paolo Banchero delivers Game 3 star turn he promised Magic teammates

ORLANDO, Fla. — Paolo Banchero doesn’t talk a whole lot.

So when he does speak, his words have impact.

Over the last few days, with the Cleveland Cavaliers threatening to sweep his Orlando Magic out of the playoffs’ first round, Banchero wanted his teammates to know they could count on him.

“I’m with you,” he often said. “I’m with you.”

On Thursday night, in a game the Magic had to win, Banchero didn’t just stand beside his pals. He led them to a 121-83 blowout victory that cut their series deficit to 2-1. Making difficult shot after difficult shot, Banchero scored 31 points and collected 14 rebounds, both game highs.

“He’s a winner,” Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley said. “That’s who he is. We challenged them today to go after some more rebounds, and he did it. That’s the thing about him: He’s going to find whatever way necessary to help his team win.”

Banchero left little doubt from the outset that he intended to bend Game 3 to his will. He took five of his team’s first eight shots, and he missed them all. He remembered later that those shots went awry because he felt too much adrenaline.

It took a circus shot to get him rolling. Midway through the first quarter, he posted up on Cavaliers 7-footer Evan Mobley and, with almost no room to maneuver, Banchero tilted backward on his right leg and hoisted a high-arching shot over Mobley that swished through the net.

“It wasn’t even supposed to go in,” Banchero said. “I was really trying to get a foul. But I was like, ‘OK, I’ve got it going from here.’”

Banchero sank 11 of his last 17 shots, unleashing an arsenal of turnaround jumpers, fadeaways and 3s.

Banchero already has an All-Star appearance on his résumé, but he freely admitted Thursday night that the rigors of playoff basketball feel like an unprecedented challenge. In that sense, the 21-year-old bruiser resembles other key members of Orlando’s nucleus. This is the NBA first postseason for Franz Wagner , Jalen Suggs , Wendell Carter Jr. and Cole Anthony , too. As they looked to each other for reassurance, the phrase “I’m with you” carried extra meaning.

Then Banchero backed up his words with actions.

“That’s ‘Playoff P’ right there,” Anthony said in the Magic’s postgame locker room. “Shoot, he did his thing. He had a couple cold baskets where I was just like, ‘Dang!’ … He was taking the stepback, fadeaway 21-footers on the baseline. I’m like, ‘Yeah, this kid’s different.’”

The Magic received valuable contributions throughout their rotation.

In an attempt to keep Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen off the boards, Mosley altered his starting lineup, slotting in Carter in up front in place of Jonathan Isaac . Carter grabbed five rebounds, but his physical presence and box outs helped keep Allen under wraps.

“I thought he did a great job out there,” Mosley said of Carter. “A lot of his stuff doesn’t show up in the stat sheet. But I think he did a great job battling on the boards, keeping Jarrett off the glass a little bit, being physical in his hits.”

In the series’ first two games, Suggs had shot a combined 6 of 21 from the field and 1 of 10 from beyond the arc. He finally found his rhythm Thursday, with a 9-of-11 shooting night that included 3 of 5 accuracy from deep. He also set a tone with his perimeter defense.

“What we did tonight was special,” Suggs said.

Nothing was more special than Banchero’s night, though.

“He hit a couple of tough-ass shots in the second quarter,” center Moritz Wagner said. “He gave us some relief offensively, but I think defensively we were so solid as we’d been in those two games in Cleveland as well. So, to be able to keep that focus up is huge for us. We’re going to score, I know it.”

It’s worth noting that the start of Game 3 resembled the beginnings of the two games in Cleveland. Once again, the Cavaliers took an early lead, scoring the game’s first six points. And once again, the Magic couldn’t hit a shot, opening the game with nine consecutive misses.

Banchero set a defiant tone: He kept shooting with confidence, and his teammates seemed to follow suit.

“The moment he stepped into his first shot (and) it didn’t go in, there was no hesitation to his next one,” Mosley said. “And I think that’s the sign of a young man who’s continued to get better, continued to grow into who he is becoming, that he does not let a make or a miss rattle what he’s doing. And then you saw the result down the stretch. He was fantastic.”

Just as the home crowd propelled the Cavaliers in the opening two games of the series, the Magic received a boost from their fans on Thursday. The announced sellout crowd of 18,846 was arguably the loudest crowd from start to finish of a game in Kia Center’s 14-year history. Orlando seemed to corral every loose ball.

“You knew they were going to come out and play hard,” Cavs coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. “But it was the first quarter where they set the tone.”

The tone started after the Magic returned home from Cleveland, with Banchero promising his teammates he would give them his best effort.

It’s been a long time since one of the team’s players carried the franchise on his back in a playoff game. Dwight Howard and Hedo Türkoğlu had special performances throughout Orlando’s run to the 2009 NBA Finals.

And on Thursday, Banchero followed in their footsteps.

“The shot making, that was pretty special,” Franz Wagner said. “Extremely tough shots, some against two defenders. It makes the game pretty easy for the rest of us.”

Are there special effects that occur during the show? (i.e. strobe lights, fog, pyrotechnics etc.)

Magic Mike Live does use strobe lighting as well as theatrical smoke throughout the performance.
