Firstly, Malta`s dramatic cliffs, stunning landscapes, and ancient buildings has been the backdrop for many major movie productions. Game of Thrones, Gladiator and Troy are just a few of the major big names in Hollywood which make Malta famous for film locations. `Pirates of the Caribbean` franchised also passed off a few Maltese landscapes as Caribbean beaches. Malta is also famous for its interesting history with some of the oldest structures in the world. The country is home to the world’s oldest temples. The temples of Imnajdra or Ggantija are much older than Macchu Pichu of Peru or the Pyramids in Egypt. They are prehistoric and go back to thousands of years. The temples of Malta are all UNESCO World Heritage sites. Malta`s capital city of Valletta and the prehistoric Hypogeum are also UNESCO World Heritage sites. Malta is a diving and snorkeling hotspot! The Maltese islands (Malta, Comino and Gozo) are rich with crystal sea waters. Besides its beaches all along the coast, the Blue Lagoon is famous worldwide. The beautiful weather is another reason Malta gets its fame. To know Malta is to know it`s warm climate and quantity of sunny days. Malta produces 300 days of sunshine on average! Lastly, Malta is famous for its food, with cuisine that is so varied from anywhere else in the world. While you`re touring Valletta, be sure to try a ricotta filled filo-pastry Pastizzi. With a Mediterranean climate, it’s never too cold in Malta. In the winter, you’ll find temps between 50 to 60, while summer days range from the low 70s to 90. Taxis: The islands are small so taxis are affordable and the most common means of getting around. Watch for an official white taxi car and make sure they turn on the meter. Ferry: To get from Malta to the other two islands, Comino and Gozo, you`ll need to go by ferry. During most of the year, the ferries leave at least once per hour and it takes less than 30 minutes. Walking: Both Malta and Gozo Island have Coastal Walks. These are paths you can take to walk around the entire island. Day 1-3: Once you’ve collected your luggage at Malta International Airport, make your way to nearby Sliema, a popular coastal resort. Malta Discovery Private Tour

Julia was an excellent and knowledgeable guide for the 2 days she showed us around Malta and packed in quite a lot. We especially enjoyed the fishing town of Marsaxlokk, with its small market and several seafood restaurants, outside beside the bay. Jonathon and Alex were excellent drivers. Alex was guide and driver for the day on Gozo, he also had good knowledge, and taking us to the salt shop was a highlight.

Malta and Gozo Private 8 Days Tour

I travelled with my wife in late October, when the weather was still fine. This was a wonderful tour, such a great time we had in Malta. Outstanding views and great accommodations provided in either Malta and Gozo.We had a wonderful local guide Dennis who was patient and very knowledgeable. We particularly appreciated the local Maltese food . This is an excellent tour . Professional service from SoletoTravel guys.

Malta Highlights 4 Day Guided Tour

Our guide, Dennis, was knowledgeable about many things and was accommodating to our needs, as well as having a good sense of humour. The drivers, Jonathan and Jason, were very professional. This was a very interesting and informative tour, and I'd definitely recommend it as a great way to learn a lot about Malta in a short time.

Our tour was excellent. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and nice personable people. The hotel the tour provided was excellent. All and all I would highly recommend our tour.

We had an amazing time with the tour planned in Malta. Julia was our guide for most the time with Jonathan as our driver. Our last tour guide was Dennis. Julia was so Informed and clearly inspired to share her wealth of knowledge of Valletta and Malta. She left no stone unturned. She was kind, funny, accepting of our physical restrictions, always on time, and very courteous, “Sir” Jonathan was a terrific driver and even volunteered to help us out the day after our stay. Always prompt, VERY safe driver and funny. Dennis was also terrific for the one day we had him instilling humor and knowledge with his tour. Omar was our initial arranger and he communicated quickly with every question I had. Nothing was ever left undone or not answered. Hotel arrangements went without a hitch as well as all our planned days. He even made concessions to make sure we had a ride to the other hotel and the airport with Jonathan even after our initial tour. I have nothing but high praises for our entire experience with TourRadar. We will certainly use them again for future trips. Thank you SO much Omar, Julia, Jonathan and Dennis!!!!
