Sweet scares 🍫
By Patheresa Wells | Published October 3, 2023
📸: Seattle Chocolate Haunted Factory Experience 2023
📅 Thursdays – Sundays: October 19th – 22nd, 26th – 29th ⏰ Rotating times between 5 pm – 9 pm 📍 Seattle Chocolate: 1180 Andover Park W, Seattle 🎟️ $12 – $15
There are a lot of haunted houses in Seattle during the Halloween season. But only one combines creepy with chocolate, asking you to discover the dark side of delicious . At the Seattle Chocolate Haunted Factory experience, guests are invited to step inside a factory undergoing a power outage. Do you dare try to restore the tastiness that was once within? Or will you succumb to the spirits and lack of sugar?
Every year, Seattle Chocolate Factory turns its facility into a family-friendly fright fest for all ages. Enter into a lobby full of sinister decor (perfect for cute photos). Then, navigate through the darkness as sweet dreams become nightmares. But keep your wits about you because you must solve puzzles to make it out… hopefully. If you manage to exit, you may get a treat. It is a chocolate factory, after all.
Parking is available onsite, and kids 12 and under get in for $12. Seattle Chocolate Company’s truffles are local staples, so pick some up while you’re there. And get tickets quickly—this thing sells out every year.

Haunted Factory Tour--awesome!
While I am not a haunted house fan, I wanted to do something out of the ordinary for the Halloween holiday with my kids (ages 10 & 13). I heard about this haunted factory tour at Seattle Chocolates that's considered family friendly. (I think it's open for age 8 and up.) They stage an experience that's pretty elaborate & spooky. I couldn't take any pictures in there as they don't allow it. But you can take photos in the gift shop before entering the factory. Definitely something fun & different. And there was a part that had jump scares and darkness but not unreasonable. This is a lighter but cool twist on the haunted house idea plus you get a sweet surprise at the end. Totally recommend! Pro tip for next year: keep in mind tickets sell out and they only do it a couple October weekends leading up to Halloween. So book early when available.
So glad to hear your family had a great time at our Haunted Factory Experience! Great suggestion to others about tickets too! Thank you for the review.
We absolutely had a blast on the haunted factory tour! We didn't know what to expect, but felt the details and actors were so great. We laughed, we screamed, and we got chocolate!
This was my daughter's (age 10) first haunted house and it was perfect choice. She's wanted to do one for a while but she gets scared easily. She loved the mystery at the beginning and had just the right amount of "scares" after that. They were also very accommodating after I messed up my own reservation. Everyone was super nice and friendly. The good chocolate doesn't hurt either.
We went on the haunted factory tour and it was a great time. Lots of chocolate to choose from at the end of it.
There were a few jump scares towards the end, but it was a fun cute little tour for the family. I went with my mom, teen boy and my tween daughter we all had fun. They all want to come back another time and take an actual tour
The Haunted Chocolate Factory was so fun!!!! It is something that is fun for all ages with such a sweet surprise. All the actors were amazing and you can tell they were having fun too!!! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Haunted Factory Tour
My daughter-in-law and 2 grandkids took the Haunted Factory Tour with me and it was very well done. Clues for the little ones to find in the separate rooms which gave them the password to get treats at the end. Chocolates are so good. Highly recommend doing it!
Thanks for joining us for this special haunted tour! We're so glad you and your family had a good time, and appreciate your recommendation! See you again soon.
The tour was great and so were the guides! First of all, it smelled delicious!!! The chocolate tastings from start to finish were amazing and it was interesting to see how and where the chocolates are made. Plus you get to learn about how they handle their cocoa trade. Definitely recommended!
Thanks so much for your recommendation! We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your tour. Hope to see you again soon!
I highly recommend this tour. This company is amazing. Women led, sustainable, and rainforest alliance certified. Plus many vegan chocolate options and a chocolate line that gives meal servings to those in need. The chocolate is top notch and the tour allows you to taste so many different kinds. We were even taught the proper way to taste white chocolate (who knew there was a certain way!?). Take the tour on the second saturday of the month and have access to the "second saturday" sale - discounted chocolate because it didnt come out absolutely perfect (but still tastes amazing). The tour is only $10 and worth it! Appreciated the military discount on our chocolate purchase too. You guys rock!
The presentations were will prepared and easy to understand. Chris made us feel welcome and comfortable.
This was my families first chocolate tour and it was amazing. Definitely educational and it’s nice to know that they give back to the community with helping the needy and less fortunate. Mr. Chris (tour guide) was very knowledgeable on the factories history and daily activities. Very friendly, courteous and safe. How could I forget to mention that I was literally full off of chocolate! I couldn’t squeeze lunch in after that. We had the opportunity to taste different flavors of chocolate to include a introductory chocolate shot!! You must go if you’ve never been on a chocolate tour before. I took my daughter as a surprise for her birthday (since she is a chocoholic) as she was turning 15. She was pleasantly surprised and the guests and staff sang Happy Birthday to her with a big birthday sign. I’ve told my friends and acquaintances and they are ready to participate. One last thing, the Factory was very clean, neat and organized. Enjoy and thanks for the experience Seattle Chocolates! 💕
Hi Maria! Thanks for joining us for your family's first chocolate tour - and celebrating a birthday with us, too! We hope your daughter enjoyed her birthday surprise and appreciate you spreading the word about the tour. See you again soon!
I was on vacation in Seattle and I discovered this really cool factory that i was lucky enough to tour on my last day before heading to SeaTac. Right when I walked in, I was awed by the bright colors and arrangement of chocolate. The tour starts with a liquid shot of chocolate and that by itself would have been worth the $10. Soooo tasty! We also learned about where cacao is grown and about the company's ethical practices. After that we got to tour the actual factory, which was really cool. We learned about the process and got to see the care that the company puts into producing their products. Then back to the classroom for more samples! You get so many samples on this tour--it is a chocolate overload! Seattle Chocolates are delicious. Some of my favorite chocolates happened to be flavors that I normally don't gravitate towards--i.e. white chocolate, milk chocolate, fruit flavors. I especially adored the Pink Bubbly truffle--dark chocolate shell, raspberry filling, and pop rocks. The entire combination is so interesting and tasty. It only lasts an hour but it is a ton of fun for $10.
