This is a horrible travel company. Was taking a school trip for 3 days to Pennsylvania and our bus broke down 3 different times on the trip. We had to squeeze 100 people from our bus onto the other two (defiantly illegal). Horrible company. My school used three buses from Wade for a 4 day trip and one of the buses broke down three times during the trip, forcing us to cram everyone onto two buses (people were standing and sitting in the aisles) and move our luggage over to the other buses on the side of a busy and dangerous interstate. Other companies may be more expensive but with Wade you get what you pay for. On a positive note I did get more time to bond with my friends but this was at the expense of my sanity as I spent a total of 4 hours stuck on the side of highways.

Terrible trip. Bus broke down 3 times, had to pack 3 buses worth of people onto 2. People were forced to sit in the aisle, three to a seat, and in the overhead. Terrible experience with this company.

This was the absolute worst charter bus experience I have ever had. I would like to give a quick shoutout to the drive Ezekiel, he is the best bust driver we have ever had, he and he alone deserves 5 stars. Back to the busses, our guy Ezekiel kept ours nice and clean and in tip top shape (especially the bathroom) I cannot however say the same for the other 2 busses in our convoy. Bus number 3 especially seemed to have a tendency to break down on the side of the highway, leading to 50 student and luggage/instruments (music trip) to need to be evacuated on the side of the highway and board a new bus. This was accomplished by squeezing way too many people onto one bus, with 3 people in 2 seats and some people sitting on the ground. This trip was not cheap, and we expected better.

Horrible experience with this transportation company. The same bus broke down 3 times and had students doing labor work to move to another bus. It could have been worse reason why I am giving this a 2 star; but still pretty crappy service.

We had a two hour delay on the first day of our Hershey park trip the second day our bus broke down a a second time and we waited about another hour and a half to two hours today we broke down on the side of the freeway for about an hour and a half. So in conclusion I wouldn't recommend wade tours to any school or group looking to actually get to and from there destination in the scheduled time. The only good thing about this trip with wade tours was our driver Larry he did the most he could to help us at every moment so if u do choose to travel with wade tours at least ask for Larry very friendly and welcoming attitude always no matter how many times our third bud broke down.

Terrible company, if you have the ability to read this review and choose a different charter bus company, you should do that. They were an hour late for initial pickup, and chronically late through our 4 day stay in Boston. The day of departure, the bus breaks down and they tell us they're sending another bus to pick us up, adding on 3 extra hours. The bus gets here, but instead of letting us board an departing, more hours were devoted to seeing if the new bus driver could fix the BROKEN bus and we're stuck waiting for hours and hours with dozens of other people in the hotel lobby because we've already checked out. Seriously? Talk about customer service. Oh, by the way, if they're late or delayed, and you call them to see what's wrong, you're not getting a response back. You're just gonna have to wait and pray that they're not *too* late (which they will be). If you use this company, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Bus driver (at least the one we got that subbed after stopping at Albany) was nice though, but that doesn't negate all the negative stuff about them.

Diamond Tours hired this bus company to bring us from Newark, NJ to Niagara Fall, Canada. This is not the kind of bus you want to use for a 6 1/2 hour trip. Went on a bus ride to Montreal, Canada those seats were so plush. Jim the bus driver was very friendly and knowledge of touring throughout Canada. Unfortunately Jim had to leave us in Albany, NY where we had to get another bus driver. I'll call him Mister. Mister did not even introduce himself to us, just sat in the seat and drove the rest of the distance to Newark, NJ. When Mister finally pulled into our destination he wouldn't even turn on the interior lights so we could gather our belongs. smdh. This is a local casino bus, not for long destinations. Oh by the way it took us 12 hours to get home. smdh

Diamond Tours used this bus company to travel from Newark, NJ to Niagra Falls, Canada. Was not the proper bus to use for 6 1/2 hours to travel there. Seats were very uncomfortable. My seat was broken, would not lay all the way back. It was good for travelling around Canada. Coming home it took us 12 hrs. I kid you not. Jim who was our regular bus driver throughout the tour was to go back to Albany where we had to switch driver. The new driver was not professional at all. He didn't even introduce himself to us. Just got in the seat and drove us. Common courtesy he should have introduce himself. didn't say a work. All I can say if you use Diamond Tours for any outing making sure they do not hire Wade Bus Company.

Diamond Tours hired this tour bus company to take us from Newark, NJ to St. Catherines, Ontario. 9 hours bus ride going to and 12 hours to get back. Why?? I'm still trying to figure it out. Had to change drivers coming back. First driver was Jim. He was fantastic. He was very knowledgable of the areas, Niagra Falls, Toronto, Niagra on the Lake. Awesome job Jim. Once he left us in Albany, second driver boarded. Did not even introduce himself to the group. Just boarded the bus and that was it. Didn't even turn on the interior lights when we departed. These buses are outdated. Need to update seats. Never again.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

National Museum of African American Music

The National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the legacy of the musical genres—including blues, jazz, gospel, R&B, and hip-hop—created, influenced, and inspired by African Americans. The museum’s six galleries feature artifacts, objects, memorabilia, clothing, and technology that combine to offer visitors a look at how African-American music set the tone for the country’s soundtrack.

Once inside the museum, watch a brief film about the history of Black music in America in the Roots Theater. Then, in the Rivers of Rhythm corridor, interact with an animated timeline linking American history with music. The “Wade in The Water” gallery documents the influence of religious music, while the “Crossroads,” “Love Supreme,” and “One Nation Under a Groove” sections chronicle the history of blues, jazz, and R&B, respectively. The experience concludes with a look at the evolution of hip-hop and rap. The museum is conveniently located on Broadway, making it easy for visitors to add the attraction to their Nashville sightseeing itinerary.

Visitors can receive an RFID bracelet for an additional fee, which allows you to save playlists and videos at each interactive station in the museum.

The museum also hosts panels and events like Soul Food Sundays; check the online calendar for the most up-to-date info.

Strollers are allowed in the museum, and it’s wheelchair accessible.

Located on Broadway—near major Nashville attractions like Bridgestone Arena and the Ryman Auditorium—NMAAM is easily accessible by car, taxi, and rideshare services. There are also several bus stops within walking distance of the museum. Use the entrance on Rep. John Lewis Way to access the elevator.

The National Museum of African American Music is open until 5pm every day of the week, though opening times vary from day to day. There is no time limit for visits, but plan to spend at least 90 minutes exploring. Visitors are not admitted less than one hour before closing. On select Wednesdays, admission is free.

Originally home to freed slaves, the land on and around Jefferson Street in Nashville eventually became predominantly owned by the city’s Black residents. It included everything from speakeasies to supper clubs and attracted artists like Aretha Franklin, Count Basie, Muddy Waters, James Brown, Etta James, and Otis Redding during the period between the mid-1930s and the mid-1960s. Today, there are efforts to revitalize the area’s musical efforts. Stop by the Jefferson Street Sound Museum to take a tour and learn more.
