Only God Was Above Us Tour: Details
Along with the songs, Vampire Weekend has also announced a massive tour of North America to promote the album. Supporting acts include La Lom, The English Beat, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mike Gordon, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Princess, Ra Ra Riot, Cults, The Brothers Macklovitch, Turnstiles, and Mark Ronson.
The Only God Was Above Us Tour will start on April 8 in Austin, Texas at the Moody Amphitheater, which has already sold out. The tour is expected to close on October 17, again in Austin Texas at the Mood Amphitheater, pending any additional tour date additions.
The band has been pretty busy promoting the upcoming album and tour via Instagram , but they have also been mysteriously mum about the album and tour’s details. The only bit of info we could find was in a press release for the album which noted that frontman Ezra Koenig described the album as “inspired and haunted by 20th-century New York” and that it was co-produced by Ariel Rechtshaid.
How to Get Your Tickets
Getting tickets to this tour might be a little rough since fans are definitely going to be scrambling to get in on the presale events. Ticketmaster is the main ticketing platform for this tour, and the platform’s presale event will start on February 20 at 10:00 am CST. There are also some additional presale events available, and you can get the deets on those through Vampire Weekend’s website . You can also get your early access code for the presale event through the band’s website.
If you miss the presale event by the time tickets go on sale on February 23 at 10:00 am local time, we recommend using StubHub to get your tickets. StubHub is a solid third-party ticketing platform that makes scoring seats easy, and all tickets on the platform are protected by the FanProtect Program.
About Vampire Weekend
Vampire Weekend was formed back in 2006 in New York City by Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij (who has since left the band), Chris Baio, and Chris Tomson. They quickly rose to fame after the debut of their eponymous album in 2008 with hits like “A-Punk” and “Oxford Comma”. The band’s most recent album was Father of the Bride , which was released half a decade ago in 2019. Fans have been anxiously anticipating new music from the indie rock outfit, and it looks like they’ll get that and a massive tour as well!
This tour will sell out fast, and some of the early tour dates have already sold out or are coming close to selling out. Get your tickets now before it’s too late!

Vampire Weekend 2024 festival appearances
This year, Ezra, Chris and Chris are lending their talents to three major music festivals.

Vampire Weekend set list
Although it’s likely Vampire Weekend will work the new album into the upcoming jaunt — they did name the tour after the record, after all — here’s a look at what they played at a concert on their 2019 ‘Father of the Bride Tour,’ courtesy of Set List FM :
01.) “Bambina” 02.) “Unbelievers” 03.) “Holiday” 04.) “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” 05.) “Sympathy” 06.) “Sunflower” 07.) “White Sky” 08.) “How Long?” 09.) “Rich Man” 10.) “Step” 11.) “Harmony Hall” 12.) “Diane Young” 13.) “Cousins” 14.) “A-Punk” 15.) “Hannah Hunt” 16.) “Oxford Comma” 17.) “Walcott”
Note: Based on our findings, the band mixed up what they played most nights . For a fuller look at what made the set list at other gigs, check out their complete concert history here .
Vampire Weekend new music
Ahead of the album’s release — the band’s first since the experimental two-track 40-minute “40:42” EP — Vampire Weekend dropped a pair of singles “Capricorn” and “Gen-X Cops.”
“Capricorn” is a gorgeous piano ballad that fits right in with the group’s Grammy winning “Father of the Bride.” Koenig’s soft, unassuming vocals glide over lush keys until the tune goes into overdrive two minutes in with discordant noise-rock before bringing it back to basics.
Clocking in at 3:47, “Gen-X Cops” transitions from an out and out garage rock anthem into something a bit more precious — a hard driving, head bopping indie anthem.
The two songs couldn’t be more different but both are distinctly Vampire Weekendian.
You can listen to both here .

Vampire Weekend Releases First New Music In Five Years and Announces Massive Tour Across North America
“Capricorn” and “Gen-X Cops” Available Now
Watch both videos here and here, only god was above us out april 5, tour dates include saturday night + sunday morning shows in berkeley, ca, bonner, mt and at new york’s madison square garden.
Having ended a half decade of anticipation with last week’s album announcement, Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio and Chris Tomson p/k/a Vampire Weekend now fill that void with “Capricorn” and “Gen-X Cops,” a double portion of first tastes of the anxiously awaited Only God Was Above Us , available April 5 via Columbia Records. Pre-order is available now here . Simultaneously, the band has confirmed a full scale North American headline tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 39-date trek follows a select few previously announced festival headlines, a sold out show in the shadow of the solar eclipse, and will include three unique two-show engagements that will see Vampire Weekend play Saturday night shows followed by Sunday morning sets at the Greek Theater in Berkeley CA, KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner MT and New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The newly released pair of advance tracks showcase distinctly different aspects of Only God Was Above Us, while feeling very much parts of the same whole. “Capricorn,” written by Ezra Koenig and produced by Ariel Rechtstaid and Koenig, begins on a deceptively subdued note, its honeyed melodies and arpeggiated keys launching into a transcendent chorus featuring a maelstrom of distorted guitars and vibrant drum fills. “Gen-X Cops,” co-written by Koenig and Chris Tomson, and produced by Rechtstaid, Koenig and Tomson, kicks off with a frantic guitar figure befitting a title lifted from a 1990s Hong Kong action movie, and rides a jaunty beat to an anthemic refrain of “Each generation makes its own apology.”
Each of the new tunes is accompanied by a new video built around footage of New York circa 1988 by Only God Was Above Us album art photographer Steven Siegel. Directed by longtime Vampire Weekend creative director Nick Harwood, “Capricorn” is a visual journey to late ‘80s New York City that showcases the alluring yet grimy era of the city— before breaking to modern day Vampire Weekend. “Gen-X Cops,” directed by Drew Pearce (The Fall Guy, Hotel Artemis, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Iron Man 3), takes a decidedly different route to authenticity, utilizing the exact film-stocks Siegel used in 1988, and tracking down the only authentic 1970s New York subway car on the west coast. Pearce and DP Doug Emmett then meticulously researched the actual light patterns of 1980s subway tunnels in order to build a rig that would emulate them as well as shooting “Gen-X Cops” on 8mm and 16mm cameras to ensure maximum precision.
Only God Was Above Us will be available April 5 via Columbia Records and will be available digitally, and physically on CD, standard black vinyl, limited edition clear vinyl on the band’s webstore, and with an alternate album cover available exclusively at Independent retailers. Pre-order here: https://vampireweekend.lnk.to/OGWAU/vinyl1
Support acts for Vampire Weekend’s upcoming tour have been hand-picked and carefully curated by Koenig, Baio and Tomson. Every region of the country will be treated to their own very special guests — several of whom hold local significance —all of whom are beloved by the band. Those guests include: LA LOM, The English Beat, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mike Gordon, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Ra Ra Riot, Princess featuring Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, Cults, a DJ Set By Mark Ronson, Turnstiles and The Brothers Macklovitch. For all the hoopla over this being an eclipse show, most of the audience was content to just keep their unshielded eyes on Koenig and company, content to wait until it actually got dark to pay too much attention to the cosmos’ shenanigans. These were mostly Vampire Weekend chasers, with eclipse-chasing taking a back seat. As totality approached, though, Koenig announced that the band would be taking a short intermission to let everyone focus on the impending darkness. I’d assumed maybe the band would actually pick its spaciest song and jam all the way through the 3-4 minutes of Texas totality. Or break out “Gen-X Cops,” the new song that begins with the line: “Blacken the sky and sharpen the axe!” Or cover Pink Floyd or Bonnie Tyler. (“Total Eclipse of the Heart” was at least used as the band’s walk-up music.)
Actually, Vampire Weekend wasn’t in danger of being overshadowed, as it were. Inside the Moody Amphitheatre in downtown Austin, totality was a little underwhelming, as the cloud cover grew thicker by the minute, until the shrinking sun became completely obscured about 10 minutes before the darkness really kicked in. Except for one blink-and-you-missed-it reapparance, in which a short roar went up as the flaming corona became visible for all of two seconds. “Did you catch that one moment?” Koenig asked, after the band returned to the stage. “Talk about a buzzer-beater!”
This is supposed to be a music review, not an eclipse review, but we feel comfortable going on record as giving this particular experience of the phenomenon a Pitchfork rating of 5.2.
We can go considerably higher for the band’s performance itself, and recommend seeing it in a more standard setting on the road this summer and fall, when their shows presumably won’t be accompanied by blatant signs of God’s judgment on America. (Unless all the merch selling out prematurely counts also as a sign of divine distress. This was the first time I’d ever seen a merch table being dismantled completely around the time the music was getting underway, thanks to all of the band’s bespoke shirts and hats having been manufactured in amounts guaranteed not to meet demand.)
It wasn’t quite Springsteen-ian in its epic qualities, but the band’s Austin show did stretch to two hours and 20 minutes (counting that 10-minute break for everyone to ponder twilight). Its highlights included six songs being debuted from “Only God Was Above Us,” which was even a couple less than the set could have withstood, but not a bad ratio of terrific new songs nonetheless. These included two newbies right at the top of the show, “Ice Cream Piano” and “Classical,” and then, over the course of nature playing with its faulty light switch, “Connect,” “Gen-X Cops,” “Capricorn” and “Hope,” all good candidates to stay in the set even by the time Vampire Weekend has moved on to album six.
The sound of Vampire Weekend on record is pretty different from the live experience, now, just as it was with the last album, 2019’s “Father of the Bride,” with Koenig and co-producer Ariel Rechtshaid treating the music almost as a sonically unpredictable duo project in the studio. (Bassist Chris Baio and drummer Chris Tomson at least show up on about half the tracks, more than they did on “Father.”) Sometimes, when the new material is being played live, there’s more of a rush to the music, with a full seven-piece band taking it on; other times, you miss the eclectic touches from the records that can’t or shouldn’t be exactly recreated live.
Some of the group’s seminal tracks felt quaint now in the context of the more expansive newer stuff, like “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa,” from a period when being audacious meant playing in a style meant to feel like it was taking place under African skies. But some of the chestnuts really blossomed to life with this version of the band. “Sunflower,” in particular, was a gas, alternating quick sax and fiddle riffs, then combining those two instruments in riffage alongside the guitar, like the art-rock equivalent of a Southern rock band doing a three-guitar attack.
The rarity most delighting some hardcore fans was “Jonathan Low,” “one of our least-known songs,” probably brought out for this occasion specifically because of its origin point: it was written and recorded for the “Twilight: Eclipse” movie. “We should play that one more often,” Koenig conceded, sounding surprised after sticking the landing. “That’s a good song… Shout-out to Robert Pattinson and the whole gang,” he joked. (Earlier he made it clear they never saw the film.)
The first-half highlight was “Flower Moon,” also clearly given a special place in the spotlight because of its appropriate title, written into the setlist to be the song that would precede the moony intermission no matter what time the show got underway. It was funky and fusion-y, with solos for bass, sax and what sounded like a vintage Synclavier. If they had just kept that eight-minute jam going all the way into and through the peak darkness, it would have been a real moment. It still was, even with the sun still out.
In the second half, guests included Thomas Mars of Phoenix, joining Koenig for a first-time performance of their prior studio collaboration “Tonight,” and Dave 1 from Chromeo then guesting for “Needy Girl” — followed by those two French speakers leading the audience in a French version of “Happy Birthday to You,” in honor of this coincidentally being Koenig’s 40 th birthday.
The band didn’t bring in any special production design to enhance the experience, beyond a backdrop portraying an eclipse in all its phases, from beginning to end. But the two drummers did arrive equipped with complementary bass drum heads, each depicting Méliès-like faces of the sun and the moon. “See our custom drumheads?” Koenig asked. “I think (the artist) got the expressions just right. The sun looks pissed, but he’s about to laugh.”
The audience might have known how the sun felt… maybe a little pissy about missing out on all that bespoke merch, but all is forgiven when performances as awe-inspiring as “Sunflower” and “Flower Moon” are involved. Being in the path of totality, and in the path of total virtuosity: they’re both rare enough things.

Vampire Weekend will return to Indianapolis this fall. Here's where and how to get tickets
Vampire Weekend will perform in Indianapolis this fall as part of their "Only God Was Above Us" Tour.
The indie rockers will play Everwise Amphitheater in downtown Indianapolis Sept. 21.
When they played the venue at White River State Park in 2019 , the band recorded a 26-song set that would eventually become their first official live release. They made the surprise announcement during their headlining set at Indianapolis' inaugural WonderRoad music festival in 2022.
"You probably always get people coming from all over saying, 'We love Indianapolis so much,'" frontman Ezra Koenig told festivalgoers. "But here's the thing: We really love that show. We really love Indianapolis."

Vampire Weekend will appear as a last-minute addition to the lineup for this weekend’s Coachella festival .
Coachella said on social media Tuesday that the popular indie-rock band would play the festival’s first weekend, which is scheduled to run Friday through Sunday at Indio’s Empire Polo Club before repeating April 19-21. (No word on whether Vampire Weekend will appear during Weekend 2.)
Vampire Weekend, which is set to perform Saturday at 5 p.m. on Coachella’s Outdoor Theatre stage, released its latest album, “Only God Was Above Us,” last week; it previously played Coachella in 2013 and 2008.

Vampire Weekend turns Austin fans into creatures of the night at total solar eclipse concert
Despite the name, it’s always been easier to picture the members of Vampire Weekend guzzling clam chowder than blood. On Monday, though, our favorite Ivy League rock stars finally found meaningful communion with their undead namesakes. They came to Austin, put an army of the living under their thrall and cheered as the sun went black.
Out-of-towners and townies alike staked spots around the city to watch the total solar eclipse that afternoon. Some marked the moment with their favorite alt-rock stars at Moody Amphitheater in Waterloo Park.
When first announced, the concert felt a bit random. The band is more associated with preppy northeastern idiosyncrasy than the sound of Texas skies. Nevermind all that. Vampire Weekend took a once-in-a-lifetime moment on the shores of Waller Creek and made mystic music, happy to be the opening act at their own show.
Solar eclipse 2024: Austinites cheer on the sun during the 'very, very, super duper cool' total solar eclipse
Consider the components of the vamps’ spell. The symbols of the lunar phases adorned the stage backdrop. It was frontman Ezra Koenig’s birthday. On one of their drums, the moon smiled; on the other, a wary sun shot a sideways glance.
A little after noon, a de rigueur Bonnie Tyler needle drop heralded the band members. All dressed in black or white, except Koenig, who met the stifling humidity and vexingly cloudy skies with a Blind Melon T-shirt. ( “No Rain,” get it?)
The live debut of two tracks from new album “Only God Was Above Us” kicked things off. “Ice Cream Piano” rollicked with classic Vampy Weeks rhythm. Fans wearing galaxy-pattern shirts bopped to “Classical.” Koenig sang of bleak sunrises, and his impish crooning hadn’t weakened a bit over the years. If anything, his voice rode the bubbling percussion and sultry keys with warmer blood than the early days.
The crowd-pleasers really brought the birthday boy to life. His adorable shoulder shakes on “Unbelievers” punctuated more celestial lyrics: “See the sun go down/ It's going on down and the night is deep/ Want a little light/ But who's gonna save a little light for me?” Listen, if there’s an eclipse, you’re gonna hear what you need to hear.
Koenig’s falsetto shot straight to the sky on “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa.” People’s eyes, cowering behind commemorative Vampire Weekend eclipse glasses, traced the arc of his voice right up to the clouds. Practice glances, the first of many.
Wind started to cut the muck in the air. Koenig gesticulated with purpose while performing, with two fingers held up like a Boy Scout. Or, as it was easy to think while he sang “White Sky” with a glowing ring at his back, like Benedict Cumberbatch opening a dimensional portal in “Doctor Strange.”
See? Mystical.
The energy at the concert, on stage and off, seemed to grow more frantic as wispy gray stuff rolled away overhead. “How’s the sun looking?” Koenig asked the crowd after “Sunflower,” quickly chiding: “With glasses only.” Answer: like a Hostess CupCake with a big bite taken out.
Not for long. The band played “Capricorn,” and suddenly the sky held the remains of a pancake that the whole table shared at brunch.
The free love jangle of “This Life” reminded everyone that “pain is as natural as the rain” — hopefully neither’s services would be required Monday.
New song “Gen-X Cops” squealed and careened on its steely strings, a fresh sound for the band. On the roof level of the amphitheater, two police officers peered up at the sky through their special glasses.
Bassist Chris Baio shook his tail as the band pummeled “Diane Young.” Horn trills drilled through a frenetic “Cousins,” and suddenly you could see an orange peel through your glasses. The band treated everyone to a rarity: “Jonathan Low” from the soundtrack to “Twilight: Eclipse.” If not then, when? “Shoutout to Robert Pattinson and the whole gang,” Koenig said.
The invocation of Edward Cullen shifted the celestial bodies — a much more exciting thought than the boring truth of a well-scheduled setlist. From the darkened stage, a funky miasma of guitar, cymbals and soprano saxophone plunged the venue into a more feral place. The orange peel above had dieted its way to a fingernail clipping. Suspense built. Perhaps, even, unease. Koening’s elfin demeanor turned to trickster glee.
“Curse the night/ If the sun don't make things right,” he sang on “Flower Moon.” A clattering klatch of shakers and discordant guitar broke into a jazzy reverie.
And then, it all stopped. Totality knocked. Let the experience be “beautiful, restorative, mystical,” Koenig urged. The band left the stage.
Soon, the office lights from nearby buildings shone brighter than anything else. Everybody made two pivots — first away from the stage, then upward. A few people squeaked. More shushed their neighbors. For a few surreal moments, the shadows stole all the sound. Still, clouds covered the big show.
People started howling. Vampirism? Out. Lycanthropy? In.
One eager soul shouted: “Moon!”
For a few seconds, the blanket of cotton above spun out into threads. Just long enough. The eclipse — black hole, white glow — took center stage. The crowd went wild.
But the sky was on a dimmer switch. God’s house lights came up. Vampire Weekend returned. Koenig clutched his own eclipse glasses.
“Talk about a buzzer beater,” he cracked, adding, “That’s the main event — nature, reality, the universe.”
The rest of the concert felt like one long cigarette drag with a sheet clutched to your chest. Remarkable, really, because the band brought out some special guests. First, Thomas Mars of Phoenix joined Koenig to perform their fabulous collab, “Tonight.” Koenig sang, “You need a little splendor,” and as the previous ten minutes had proved, so true bestie.
Another Francophone, Dave 1 of Montreal’s Chromeo, took the stage next to perform “Needy Girl” with the band. Guitar ace/Paramore touring musician/Vampire Weekend ally Brian Robert Jones joined the band for “Harmony Hall.”
That led into fan faves “Oxford Comma” and “A-Punk.” It seemed like things might wind down. The moon had long since left the building.
But no. The eclipse seemed to inspire literal lunacy in the band. Since 2019’s “Father of the Bride,” Vampire Weekend has embraced their jam band dreams. They gave Austin an extended honky-tonk medley dubbed “Cocaine Cowboys.”
“It’s a ride,” Koenig warned.
More: The next solar eclipse will be visible to Texans. What to know about the 2044 eclipse
Truly, the frontman became Cowboy Koenig on that stage. (Or he entered his “Joanne” era — choose your diva.) Lyrics from the song “Married in a Gold Rush” took up residency at the Broken Spoke, full of newfound twang and boot-scootin’. Ghosts who flew in express from Graceland possessed Koenig and Baio’s legs. The band switched pardners, and “All the Gold in California” by Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers Band cut in.
“Here at Vampire Weekend, we’re not just singing about gold — we’re giving it away,” Koenig said. The crew brought out a giant eclipse-themed cornhole board. One of the band’s stage techs tossed golden bean bags at the hole. He sank a shot.
As a reward, venue staff came down the aisles and flung gold-wrapped chocolate bars into the audience. One man a few rows back from the stage promptly unwrapped his catch and broke off its tiles like communion wafers, sharing them with his neighbors. An eclipse miracle.
Before sending everyone home with “Walcott,” Koenig, Austin’s newest high priest of the astral realm, gave a benediction.
“Thank you,” he said, “to the sun and the moon.”

Ezra Koenig and Co. performed on the Saturday edition of Coachella (April 13), after being added to the Californian Music and Arts festival line-up at the last minute .
The night was headlined by Tyler, The Creator , and others performing on the second day of the first weekend included Sublime , No Doubt , Blur , Justice and Jon Batiste .
To open their set at the Outdoor Theatre stage, Vampire Weekend launched into ‘Classical’ – a song taken from their latest studio album ‘Only God Was Above Us’ . From there, they performed renditions of ‘Holiday’, ‘Unbelievers’, ‘This Life’ and ‘Diane Young’.
However, it was at the end of their set at the Indio festival that the band turned heads by diving into a country covers medley and bringing out two unconventional guests.
Titled ‘Cocaine Cowboys’, the medley saw the indie veterans start off with their song ‘Married In A Gold Rush’ – taken from their 2019 LP ‘Father Of The Bride’ – followed by Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers Band’s ‘All The Gold In California’, Gram Parsons’, Flying Burrito Brothers’ ‘Sin City’, Grateful Dead’s ‘Cumberland Blues’ and Phish’s ‘Possum’.

During the middle of the medley, Koeing and co. brought out Paris Hilton and an impersonator of the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, to play a game of “gold rush back toss” – better known as ‘Cornhole’.
While on stage, Hilton said she hadn’t played cornhole since her time on the mid-’00s reality show The Simple Life , and she promptly missed her two attempts.
Following the game, security handed out bars of “gold” to the crowd (Chocolate bars wrapped in gold foil), as Koeing told the crowd: “We told you Coachella, it’s golden.”

Before their last-minute Coachella gig, Vampire Weekend played a special gig to mark the recent total solar eclipse .
Held on April 8, the New York band took to the stage at the scenic Moody Amphitheater in Austin, Texas and played through the solar eclipse. The set included the live debut of new songs and a variety of special guests.
‘Only God Was Above Us’, which was released earlier this month (April 5) and was given a four-star review by NME . “It’s an ambitious concoction of sounds that don’t seem to exist in the same realm, yet intertwine naturally beneath [frontman Ezra] Koenig’s increasingly sullen vocals,” it read.
The band will head out on tour in North America , as well as in Europe, the UK and Ireland this year. Vampire Weekend are due to perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton next month .

Vampire Weekend recently released its fifth album, “Only God Was Above Us .” From the band that got started nearly two decades ago at Columbia University but now resides in Los Angeles, it’s an LP that ponders hitting 40, the lessons of history, generational legacies, myths and memories of New York City and Vampire Weekend’s own peculiar status as both an indie-rock success story and an arty pop outlier. It’s also the band’s noisiest album — and perhaps its kindliest.
On this week’s Popcast with the guest host Jon Pareles, three critics discuss Vampire Weekend’s latest conundrums, counterpoint, sonic extremes and hidden jam-band core — and its fascination with tunnels.

Vampire Weekend and Amber Coffman Cover Grateful Dead’s “Peggy-O”: Watch
By Nina Corcoran
Vampire Weekend took over the SiriusXMU channel this past weekend to celebrate the release of their new album, Only God Was Above Us . The band hung out in the SiriusXM studio to record interview segments and a stripped-down live session, during which the group covered Grateful Dead’s “Peggy-O” with help from Amber Coffman and violinist Ray Suen. Vampire Weekend also played acoustic renditions of their new songs. Watch their take on “Peggy-O” below.
Only God Was Above Us is Vampire Weekend’s fifth studio and includes the singles “ Mary Boone ,” “ Capricorn ,” “ Gen-X Cops ,” and “ Classical .” The band also launched a podcast tied to the record, Vampire Campfire ; in each episode, band members discuss the making of the record and its songs.
Earlier this week, on Monday, April 8, Vampire Weekend played a special show in Austin, Texas, to coincide with the solar eclipse. And, last night, they joined the jam band Goose at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Together, the groups played “Gen-X Cops” and a 31-minute take on “ Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa .” Watch the performance below.
In further Vampire Weekend news, they were on The Daily Show for an interview and “Mary Boone” performance. Check that out below, too.

Kid Cudi Added to 2024 Coachella Weekend Two Lineup
The musician will return to the California festival and perform on the Sahara stage
Kid Cudi is the latest artist to join the 2024 Coachella lineup.
On Tues., April 16, the festival announced that the "Day 'n' Nite" artist, 40, would be a part of the Weekend Two lineup.
In an Instagram post of the updated schedule for Weekend Two, Cudi was slated to perform from 5:10 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. at the Sahara tent.
“On the pursuit of happiness," the post teased.
The rapper/singer is set to replace Vampire Weekend, who performed during Weekend One — with a surprise appearance from Paris Hilton — and will not be playing the festival during Weekend Two.
Cudi last performed at Coachella in 2019 where he wrapped up his set with a dedication to Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller , singing “Pursuit of Happiness” to both musicians, who had died the year before.
In March, Cudder announced he would be hitting the road this summer for the Insano World Tour — in support of his ninth studio album of the same name, which was released in January — per Billboard .
Cudi is set to kick the tour off in Austin, Texas on June 28 and will perform at arenas across the country throughout the summer.
He will be joined by collaborator Pusha T , as well as Jaden Smith , EARTHGANG, Chelsea Pastel and Siena Bella on select dates.

The Insano World Tour will feature 43 shows throughout cities including New York City, Nashville, Philadelphia, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Detroit, his hometown of Cleveland, Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, Las Vegas and Seattle.
Cudi will wrap up the North American leg in Los Angeles on Aug. 30 at the Crypto.com Arena.
At the top of 2025, he will head overseas to continue the tour, performing at London’s O2 Arena, Germany, Italy, France, Ireland and other cities throughout the U.K.
