No trip to Mexico would be complete without sampling the country’s famous spirits. You’ve got a few options for Puerto Vallarta tequila tours, where you’ll also get to try mezcal and racilla.
Not sure what the difference is between the three? No worries; at the end of this post, you can read more about this. But the best way to learn is in person on one of these Tequila tours in Puerto Vallarta.

Top Tequila Tours in Puerto Vallarta
While choosing your own adventure is possible (check our post about the best bars in Puerto Vallarta ), it’s more fun with a group and a knowledgeable local guide.
We’ve done plenty of, let’s call it “research,” and these are the best options for Puerto Vallarta tequila tours.
1. Connoisseur Tequila Tasting
Life is better with options, and you’ve got three of them on this tour . You can choose between the introduction, connoisseur, or mezcal option. My personal recommendation is the latter, as it’s fun to try both of the agave spirits.
What a cool experience. The tasting room is in an up-and-coming neighborhood, Versailles, tucked among a bunch of great restaurants, but the true highlight here is the tequila and the instruction about it. Tequila has a fascinating story, more akin to wine than many spirits and it was absolutely worth learning about (and enjoying)! – Review by Justin ( read more reviews )
This tour takes place in Versalles , which is one of the top neighborhoods in PV.
It’s a foodie haven as well, so you might as well grab a bite to eat while you’re there. Some of my favorite spots include Lamara for ceviche, Budaixi for dumplings and noodles, and El Tío Toño for birria.
2. Vallarta Botanical Garden and Tequila Tasting
This highly-rated tour takes you to the lovely Vallarta Botanical Garden first. It recently won the American Public Gardens Association’s 2022 Garden of Excellence Award, and deservedly so. This is one of our favorite places to visit in PV, and it should definitely be on your itinerary.
After touring the garden, you’ll get to head to Rancho Los Veranos to learn all about the process of making tequila as you sample the famous spirit. It’s also possible to order lunch here, but just be aware that it is not included in the tour. Either way, I’d advise eating a big breakfast before going on this tour.
We had a wonderful experience on this tour! The tour guide was authentic and professional. The history shared was so informative and full of pride. The Garden was magical and mystical. The tequila tasting was so fun and the prices for the bottles to buy were half the price of some of the local liquor stores down town!! My husband and I are tequila enthusiasts so we really appreciated the quality of the tequila!! Highly recommended!! – Kenneth ( see more reviews here) .
3. Noble Corazon
Of all the Puerto Vallarta tastings out there, this has to be my fave. And it’s not just because my picture is all over their website. We were not just hamming it up for the camera when we were there – it really was an awesome experience.
You can book their classic tequila tasting at Casa Agavera Vallarta in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood. Their experts will teach you about the distilling process as you sip on their excellent tequila, mezcal, and racilla.
It’s also possible to book a private tour at your place. If you have an Airbnb with a group, this should definitely be added to your PV itinerary.
4. City Tour with Tequila and Coffee Tasting
This tour checks a lot of the boxes for top things to do in Puerto Vallarta. You’ll get to stroll the famous Malecon, see the iconic Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, visit a Tequila distillery, and check out a local coffee factory.
There’s also an option to add lunch for this tour. It seems like the food is more expensive if you order it while on the tour, so you may want to add it in advance.
The tour was really fun. Went with my wife and we really enjoyed ourselves. Especially at the tequila tasting. The guide was really nice, knowledgeable and really helped in making sure the entire group had a good time. Doesn’t matter what age you are, because by the end of the tequila tasting you’ll be having a good time. I highly recommend that people book this activity when coming to Puerto Vallarta. – GetYourGuide (read more reviews here).
Tours that visit Tequila (the town)
Most of these tours happen in and around PV, but it’s also possible to travel to the town of Tequila itself. That’s right – there’s an actual town called Tequila! It’s in the state of Jalisco, and it’s the birthplace of the famous spirit.
5. Toriles and Tequila Day Trip
Make sure you rest up before this Tequila tour , as it’s a big one. This 12-hour excursion takes you to Aztec ruins in the town of Toriles as well as the birthplace of tequila itself.
Walk through the agave fields and visit a distillery as you learn all about the process of making tequila. The tour also includes a hearty breakfast, so you’ll be nice and full before the tequila tasting.
It’s a long drive, but the town of Tequila was all I expected. Wish we could have stayed longer, but soaked in all we could. Thank you Thomas! – Thomas ( read more reviews here)
Tequila is about a four-hour drive from Puerto Vallarta, so it does make for a long day if you’re doing it round-trip. If you want to visit Tequila and have the time, I recommend planning a weekend trip to Guadalajara and visiting Tequila from there, as it’s much closer.
Different Types of Mexican Liquor
Tequila and mezcal both come from the agave plant. The difference is that tequila can only be made from blue agave , while mezcal can be made from many types of agave.
Basically, tequila is a type of mezcal, just like bourbon is a type of whiskey. While they are both made from agave, they taste quite different. Many describe mezcal as having a smokey taste. Since it can be made from many agave types, the taste can vary quite a bit.
There are different types of tequila and mezcal based on how long they are aged. For tequila, these are blanco (0-2 months), reposado (2-12 months), and añejo (1-3 years).
Meanwhile, for mezcal, you have joven (0-2 months), reposado (2-12 months), and añejo (at least one year).
They all have different colors and tastes, so you may want to try them all to find out which type you prefer. That’s where these awesome Puerto Vallarta tequila tours come in handy!
But how about that other Mexican spirit? You might have never heard of racilla, but it’s an important part of the local culture here in Puerto Vallarta. That’s because it is only made right here in the state of Jalisco.
Racilla is also made from the agave plant, but the process differs. This results in a unique taste that’s nothing like tequila or mezcal. It’s still somewhat of an underground phenomenon, and it’s possible to buy bootleg racilla from unmarked plastic bottles.
If you’re not into that, never fear – you can sample it on some of these tequila tours.

That does it for this rundown of the best Puerto Vallarta tequila tours.
Whatever option you choose, remember to pace yourself. Do you know that saying “one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor?” It exists for a reason. Be sure to stay hydrated and don’t drink on an empty stomach.
We learned that lesson the hard way and always order some food when we imbibe in tequila, so learn from our past mistakes and eat some tacos!

A Final Toast to The Best Tequila Tours in Puerto Vallarta
Faq about tequila, the history of tequila.
Tequila is the OG of North American spirits. Literally. Plus, it’s the life of the party in Mexico.
It started back in the day when the Aztecs used the agave plant to make pulque. It’s a funky fermented drink you can try at places like BomBon in Puerto Vallarta—coconut pulque is the best flavor—of course, we’ve tried it! Mark is more of a fan than I am.
Anyway, back to the Aztecs.
At the time, they had no idea their methods would continue and lead the way for tequila greatness.
Fast forward to today. Making tequila is still all about TLC. It’s a passion project. It’s hard, hot, and a slow, laborious process. Even the youngest tequila takes at least five years from start to finish.
The Tequila 411
I don’t want to get into all the nitty-gritty because when you take one of these tequila tours in Puerto Vallarta, you’ll get the inside scoop on the whole tequila enchilada—from agave to ahhh delicious.
You’re not just chilling and drinking the whole time, not that there is anything wrong with that. You know we don’t judge.
But here are some basics about tequila—the 411—if you will…
It all starts with the star of the show—the agave plant. The Blue Agave, to be exact. This spiky, bluish punk rock looking plant only grows in a handful of Mexican states like Nayarit, Tamaulipas, Michoacan, Guanajuato, and Jalisco, home to the town of Tequila (and Puerto Vallarta, where we live ).
Tequila isn’t just a drink; it’s a bona fide pueblo magico and the birthplace of the very first tequila distillery.
After all my years of drinking tequila, I didn’t know it was a town until we moved to Mexico . So, if you didn’t know, you’re not alone.
To earn the tequila title, it’s gotta come from these states. Just like champagne is only deemed the real stuff if it’s made in the Champagne region in France. The same rules apply here.
Anything made outside of these sacred states is not tequila. It’s an agave spirit like raicilla or mezcal. So, don’t let anyone fool you if you’re in Playa del Carmen and they try to take you on a tequila tour.
Fun fact : In 2006, the Agave Landscape and Ancient Industrial Facilities of Tequila were deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site . So, agave and tequila are an integral part of Mexican culture. It’s not just because Mexicans love a good fiesta!
Quick Tequila-Making Overview
Ok, so how does it go from plant to palate?
The agave journey begins with the jimadores , the unsung tequila farmers. These guys still use ancient methods and tools to harvest the agave. Once an agave plant reaches the ripe age of 5-7 years, they slice off those pointy spikes, leaving behind a heart called the piña.
These piñas get roasted, sometimes for days, and all the sugary goodness ferments with the yeast, creating some alcohol magic.
Then, it’s ready to get distilled and aged.
The various categories of tequila hibernate in barrels for different lengths of time, giving them unique flavors and personalities.
- Blancos: Aged up to two months.
- Reposados: Minimum of two months up to a year.
- Anejos: Minimum of one year.
- Extra Anejos: Aged for at least three years.
- Cristalino: Made from anejo or extra anejo tequila filtered to remove the color and bring out the floral and fruity vibes.
Most tequila does its aging dance in oak barrels, sometimes from old whisky ones. The longer it hangs out, the deeper the color, aroma, and flavors get. It’s where it picks up those honey and caramel notes, too.
So, there you have it, the tequila 411 in a nutshell.
Now, let’s quench your thirst.
Don’t have time to read this whole blog? These are the fan-favorite tequila tours, and they all have a nearly perfect rating!
#1 Top Pick: Full-Day Tequila Town Experience Best for the true tequila devotee.
#2 pick: Botanical Garden Tequila Tour Best for gardens & sips in a distillery
#3 pick: Food and Mixology Tour: Tequila, Tacos, and Mexican Cocktails
Best for soaking up the food and agave culture
Puerto Vallarta tequila tasting tour cost key.
- Under $50 = $
- $50 to $100 = $$
- $100 to $150 = $$$
- Over $150 = $$$$
Note: Prices are in USD.
These tours are through Viator , the world’s largest and most trusted online tour provider. If you book from a link on this post, I’ll make a small commission, but it doesn’t change your cost, so it’s a win-win. You get an incredible tour to try the best tequila in Puerto Vallarta, and I make a little something to buy myself a tequila drink. All good!
I wanted to start this list of tequila tours with the ultimate immersion into Mexico. It’s a 12-hour tour for the most dedicated fan of tequila. You have to be ready for a long haul with this tour because you’ll actually drive from Puerto Vallarta to the town of Tequila—a four-hour drive—making stops along the way.
This isn’t for the tequila curious. It’s for the tequila devotee. It’s also the most expensive on this list because it’s a small group (10 max) tour that immerses you in authentic Mexican culture. It’s waaaay more than just sipping tequila. You get to experience a lot.
You get picked up at your hotel in Puerto Vallarta and start off with a traditional Mexican breakfast of birria tacos—a yummy, hearty street food.
Then, you’ll hop into your air-conditioned van and head to Toriles, where you’ll explore Aztec ruins, tombs, and temples dating back over a millennium.
But you aren’t here for Raiders of the Lost Ark stuff. You are here for the best tequila tours.
So, let’s move on to the liquid gold portion of the day. I can tell you’re getting thirsty.
As you leave Toriles, the landscape will change, and you’ll start to see the blue agave fields that seemingly never end. Until you hit Tequila, the town. Not the bottle.
You’ll spend some time walking around Tequila with your private guide. It’s an adorable pueblo full of cute bars and a lively square with roaming mariachis just waiting to play to a dancing crowd. That doesn’t take long since the entire town is hopped up on go-go juice from morning to night. And when Mexicans are happy, they like to sing and dance. Add in a little tipple, and it’s an effervescent scene.
After your walking tour, you’ll head to Jose Cuervo , the oldest tequila distillery in the world, founded in 1812. Here’s where you’ll learn how it all began. Besides the history, you’ll learn the ins and outs of tequila making. We loved the Cuervo tour, and we tasted all their top-notch tequilas!
If you get a chance, try Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia. It’s like sipping a fine scotch with caramel, honey, and vanilla notes. It’s our favorite, but it’s not cheap.
After your tasting, you’ll hop back in the van for the journey home. Sweet dreams!

If you have more time and want to spend it in Tequila, you can rent a car and do a similar tour yourself. Or you can show up at any distillery and book a tour when you arrive.
Another option is this tour from Guadalajara , which is only 2 hours away. Or the infamous Jose Cuervo train tour . We haven’t taken it, but from what we hear, it sounds like a booze cruise on a train. And it sells out almost daily. You might hear it called the Puerto Vallarta Tequila Train, but that’s a misnomer. It starts and ends in Guadalajara, not Vallarta.
Where the last tour was a bit more civilized, this Puerto Vallarta tequila tour is all about getting down and dirty.
This two-hour tour fuses adrenaline-pumping action with tequila. A perfect combo—am I right?
Hop on your ATV and start busting through jungles and untraveled paths in the Sierra Madre mountains. If you slow down, you might see some cool flora and fauna, but otherwise, you’ll be whizzing over rocky terrain on your way to the crystal-clear El Salto waterfall for a cool down. And to get the dust and mud off.
End the tour with a well-earned tequila tasting.

If you know me, you probably know that I dream of having a garden, but I kill everything in sight, except Mark. I have a black thumb of death no matter what I do.
Thankfully, the Vallarta Botanical Gardens are just south of our home, so going there for a few hours is easy.
These are no ordinary botanical gardens. They are award-winning stunners set between the ocean and the mountains. And during hummingbird season, you can feed one from the palm of your hand. Total magic!
Anyway, I digress. On to the tour and the tequila tour bit.
You’ll get picked up in an air-conditioned van and head to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. With your private guide, you’ll explore the garden packed with 3000 plant species and over 230 bird types.
Additionally, there is THE most glorious chapel I’ve ever seen. And I’m not too big into chapels, but this one is a showstopper. It’s tiny, but the walls are covered in flowers and butterflies, and I didn’t want to leave.
But you have to. Because, tequila.
Time to hop back in the minivan to head to Rancho Los Veranos, a distillery and restaurant where tequila is the star of the show.
There, you’ll learn all about the process of tequila making and distilling and, of course, taste a few while you’re at it.
Pro tip : Lunch isn’t included in the price of the tour, but you can buy it while you’re there.

Some say tequila makes them so crazy they’ll do anything, even swing from the trees. Well, in this Puerto Vallarta tequila tour, that’s pretty much what you’ll be doing.
This is when you get to channel your inner Tarzan. We love zip lining and went on a 7-hour extreme zip line adventure for Mark’s birthday. The only problem was that we didn’t get to add tequila to the mix. This tour would have solved all our woes.
Anyway, after soaring at high speeds through the treetops, you can rappel or free-fall down to the jungle floor.
Then, you’ll hop into an innertube and float down a river to meet your next mode of transportation—your personal Mexican limo, aka, a mule.
Armando, the mule, will escort you to the top of the hill for your tequila tour and tasting.

This tequila tour starts with a speedboat ride across Puerto Vallarta’s bay as you head toward the zipline course. If you’re lucky and it’s whale-watching season , you might even spot a humpback on your way! Once on land, you’ll get prepped to fly through the sky via 15 different zip lines. The last zip line propels you directly into the tequila bar and riverfront restaurant.
How’s that for an entrance? Take that, James Bond!
Here, you’ll have your tequila tasting, and if you want mango margaritas and a three-course lunch (for an additional cost), you’ll have plenty of time.
Afterward, you’ll have time to hurl yourself down waterslides into the river’s natural pools. If you’ve had enough of launching yourself for the day, you can grab a kayak and float around. And if you think tequila and watersports don’t mix, stay dry on land at the on-site menagerie.

Additionally, the tequila tour is in Versalles , one of the most up-and-coming neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta. It’s known as a haven for all things food, so after your tour, stick around and check out Lamara , Florios , and Oregano , which has a little piggy running about named Arepa. But if you’d rather eat a little pig than pet one (sorry, Andrea), head to Puerco de Oro .

Then it’s time to eat. You’ll have five food tastings at some of the best stalls in the Romantic Zone. And in between courses, you’ll have a few drinks. Since you are riding a bike, they aren’t going to let you get hammered and fall off your bike. The drinks have less alcohol but are still fully flavored and crafted, so you can taste various mezcals, raicillas and tequilas.

Two of Mexico's greatest gifts to the world, Chocolate and Mezcal. Delight your senses with this combination!.
Distilled from wild agave, Mezcal is a spirit produced only in nine Mexican states. Its multi-layered fragrance and taste may be fruity, smoky, herbal or mineral. Working with a local chocolatier, we have created a collection of handmade chocolates, specifically to pair with each artisanal Mezcal expression. This perfect union of Cacao and Mezcal will first surprise and then enchant your palate.
If you want to do a deep dive into Mexican spirits and cuisine, this tasting is for you. We offer you a six-course tasting menu, each course perfectly paired with a unique spirit. This culinary adventure will take you from the jungle of the Sierra Madres to the desert of Chihuahua with scrumptious stops in between.
You are probably familiar with Tequila but have you tried Mezcal, Raicilla, Sotol, or Bacanora? This may be your only chance to sample these less familiar but super-exciting Mexican spirits, complemented by our chef’s creative take on traditional Mexican dishes.
We hold our Spirits of Mexico Food Pairings in our beautiful Vallarta Tequila Tastings Garden in the gastronomic Neighborhood called Versalles OR if you are in a private casa or villa we bring our chef and come to you!
$117 USD per person
Vallarta Tequila Tastings invites you to join us on our brand new tour – The Raicilla Road Trip!
Maybe you’ve already tangoed with Tequila and done the messaround with Mezcal but this tour is your chance for a true romance with Raicilla, the newest spirit to delight agave aficionados!
But is Raicilla really new? Is it an indigenous spirit used in ceremonies? Was it invented for the silver miners in the 1700s?
In recent years this spirit has been rediscovered. Raicilla’s stunning rise in popularity is beginning to rival its agave distant cousins. Distilled only here in our state of Jalisco, its agave terroir is the mountain and coastal regions. Join us on our Raicilla Road Trip to discover the best of this spirit, right at the source.

An Unforgettable Learning Experience Second to None!
First off, Corinna and Lobo are FANTASTIC hosts!!! I've never felt so welcomed by any tour operators, and they are quick to make sure you feel like long lost friends reunited. Lobo is extremely knowledgable about all things tequila and agave, plus has all kinds of fun facts about Mexico and just about everything else, that he mixes with the perfect dash of humor that makes for a super fun time.
Corinna is super lovely and made our reservation process very pleasant. I can't wait to come back to try all of their tastings! HIGHLY recommend this tour!

A Trip Highlight - Highly Reccomend
We had Ricardo and his wife, Corinna, come to our house to lead us through a unique and informative tasting. What a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours! We learned so much and found both of our guides charming and delightful. Their passion for tequila is infectious and their approach was educational and fun.
If you're on the fence about booking them just do it. You will love hearing their perspective and it will give you a good base for enjoying quality tequila when you're back home.
Fantastic experience!
We were a group of 6 people - different ages, different backgrounds, etc - yet we all truly enjoyed our experience with Edgar at the Casa Tradicional in the city. Edgar was very knowledgeable, gave us a thorough presentation about the history, the process and then the tasting of different Tequilas. As a complete novice to Tequila, I was quite impressed. Very, very interesting.

Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit Boost Mexican Pacific Tourism
P uerto Vallarta and the state of Nayarit, in the Mexican Pacific, unite in one destination to offer their visitors first-class accommodation on extraordinary beaches along the fabulous Bay of Banderas and in Magical Towns located inland . This allows visitors to combine tours of its fantastic coastline and the highlands in one day. It all depends on the plans of a growing number of visitors .
In the framework of Gala Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit 2024, an event that brought together tour operators and hoteliers from both destinations, Vanessa Pérez Lamas, Minister of Tourism of the state of Jalisco, said that a successful tourist strategy allows travelers to visit Puerto Vallarta and a mountain village in one day. “It is essential that visitors see the combinations of destinations because Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara are our main points, with international airports very well connected.”
One of the secondary destinations highlighted by Minister Pérez Lamas is the cozy Magic Town of Tequila, the place of origin of the famous Mexican drink. “Thanks to the new highway, which will be ready in April or May, people will travel from Puerto Vallarta in just two and a half hours.”
Among of the most attractive projects is the relaunch of the Tequila Express, a train that connects Guadalajara with the emblematic town. With this service, tourists have several experiences, including visits to tequila factories, tastings, and cultural tours to learn about the history of this traditional drink. In addition, a complementary option is the Cuervo Express, Casa Cuervo's exclusive train that transports tourists to its factory to learn the manufacturing processes and try the different products they offer, even on board the train.
According to Pérez Lamas, this product will allow travel advisors to offer integrated experiences with tours in the destination in programs sold out in advance for the benefit of the populations that are part of the Tequila Route, such as Amatitan, El Arenal, and the archeological site of Guachimontones that has an incredible cylindrical pyramid.
Another project promoted by the government of Jalisco is the Route of Raicilla, a distilled agave drink ( such as mezcal ) handmade in towns such as San Sebastian del Oeste, Mascota, and Talpa de Allende. The route has a series of taverns in the middle of a vast mountain nature utterly different from that of Puerto Vallarta.
Nayarit, the Best Possible Partner
On the other hand, Riviera Nayarit, just 15 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta International Airport, stretches along an extensive coastal strip that will be enhanced by implementing important connectivity projects under the motto: Tell the world what Nayarit is. The municipalities that comprise this area are Bahía de Banderas, Compostela, San Blas, Santiago Ixcuintla, and Tecuala. Within these are colonial towns and the most visited beaches in Mexico, such as the exclusive Punta de Mita, Sayulita ( a favorite of surfers ), San Pancho, Chacala, Bucerías, San Blas, and Santa Cruz de Miramar, to mention a few.
“We are doing a joint campaign to promote the Riviera Nayarit brand together with Puerto Vallarta, and something significant is that we are about to inaugurate the new Riviera Nayarit International Airport in the city of Tepic,” says Juan Enrique Suarez, Minister of Tourism of Nayarit.
He highlights that Riviera Nayarit has the country's most significant hotel investment, with the best luxury hotels. “We have 30,000 rooms and, in about three more years, we expect to have 34,000, which is three percent more and, and in terms of residences and apartments, about 10,000 more.
Hotel developments for the next year include brands such as Belmont, Montage, Pendry, Rosewood, Ritz Carlton, ME of Grupo Meliá, Zel of Rafa Nadal, very possibly of Nickelodeon Group, in addition to the fact that the Grupo Vidanta theme park already works. “We promote Nayarit because a new airport requires a lot of demand. Our responsibility is to show people we have these hotels in Riviera Nayarit. In addition, we campaign with airlines because they require good incentives for their flights,” says Juan Enrique Suarez.
Another relevant project is the new road that links beach destinations and magical towns. “The new airport will take 15 minutes to the Magic Town of Compostela and 35 minutes to the coast, so people can spend the night in a colonial town, enjoy great cuisine, and then move to the coast in just 35 minutes. We also have luxury residences in Chacala where visitors can rent exclusive houses for 1,000 dollars a night,” says the Minister of Tourism of Nayarit. It should be noted that this state is the only one in Mexico that is part of the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) and offers, every month, virtual presentations to travel agencies to update them on new tourism projects and developments.
Suárez highlights that, in addition to all-inclusive hotels, there has been a lot of hotel investment for non-inclusive European plans due to the high interest of visitors in touring native villages such as Jala, where they can learn about ancestral customs and handicraft workshops where they can acquire high-quality textiles and pottery.
One of the most recent tourism projects is Islas Marías, considered the Mexican Alcatraz. This destination is located three hours by ferry from San Blas. It is a complex managed by the Mexican Navy that, in the past, functioned as a prison and is now a thriving destination promoted for sports tourism.
The Bridge That Links Destinations
For Jesús Carmona, President of the Bahía de Banderas Hotels and Motels Association, the bridge that links Puerto Vallarta with Riviera Nayarit makes it become a single destination with what tourism projects impact equally, such as the construction of Terminal 2 of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. “If currently, we have 100 flights daily, we will have 200 on average. We have more flights, such as the direct from Las Vegas and others from Texas, Arizona, and the Midwest. The destination includes Puerto Vallarta and Nayarit; it is something we must consider,” he says.
He highlights that the new road that will connect Jalisco with the states of Guanajuato and Zacatecas, will cause a high flow of domestic tourism. Hence, the project of building a bridge that allows the best flow of vehicles and avoids traffic jams is now on its way. "We have met with the government authorities, and the project manager will soon tell us when the bridge construction will start and finish," says the hoteliers' representative.
He explains that the link made up by private investments and the government has been very successful and highlights that, in 2017, he developed a large promotion office and formed a committee with five hotel industry aces from Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit “who were the CEOs of Grand Velas, Viña del Palmar, Vidanta Group, Marival Group, and Paradise Village Group.” This committee is the point of contact with the government to develop different projects, such as the new road, in addition to joint promotions with airlines such as Air Canada or United, among many others.
With all these ambitious projects in view, the joint strategy formed by Puerto Vallarta and Nayarit increasingly consolidates the destination as a leader in the tourism industry in the Mexican Pacific region.

Today's adventure was fun, well-organized, and everything that we anticipated! We met at Unique ATV Tours for 9:30 AM and checked in, which was seamless. Our group was greeted by Moises who explained the tour to us in both Spanish and English. We were assigned our ATVs and off we went ("This is a tour and not a race..." was wise advice, as the roads are bumpy, and sometimes narrow). The views were outstanding as we made our way through small villages to a beautiful waterfall where we swam. It was unbelievably refreshing. Following that, we traveled to our next stop, which was THE MOST FUN tequila tasting event. We bought a few yummy bottles as we left. On to the restaurant for lunch. It was delicious and the portions were quite large. We over ordered so if you have a regular size appetite, you might want to consider sharing a dish. We made our way back after that, with everyone in our group feeling happy and satisfied! Gracias to Unique AVT's team!
It was an amazing tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The guides were great! We took lots of photos and videos. We recommend this experience.
The ride was good but when we got to the first stop we had to wait very long time. It was too long of a stop. Also at the end of the tour we gave a tip and the guide complained that it was too little of a tip.
The ATVs were fun, but we stayed at the first stop for over 2 hours. Thus, we didn’t get to go to lunch. Additionally, do not tip them! I gave them a tip and the complained that it was too little and scolded me. I couldn’t believe it! Not good people
Nice excursion, reasonably priced and planned out. Have been on similar excursions where there is so much packed in that they have felt rushed, this one was not! Staff were friendly and took the time to explain your surroundings. We went on the Cualle 3 hour tour.
This is the third razor tour we have done and we were disappointed with this company. While the staff and machines were ok, the tour itself was not. We spent more time stopping for tequila tasting (45 minutes) and at a restaurant/ swimming hole (1 hour) than we did driving the razors. The tequila tasting was definitely not family friendly! I do not recommend this company.
