Beyoncé returned to the stage for first time in four years in January

Last month, Beyoncé made her return to the stage and performed at the opening of the Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai. Despite the luxury experience, the singer left fans wanting more, as she did not perform any songs from "Renaissance," The Hollywood Reporter reported.

The invitation-only event marked her first concert in more than four years. She last performed at the  Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 event in 2018.

Beyoncé dominates Grammy nominations

The singer's tour announcement comes days ahead of the Grammys where Beyoncé leads the 2023 lineup with nine nominations, including best dance/electronic album ("Renaissance"), best R&B performance ("Virgo’s Groove") and best traditional R&B performance ("Plastic Off the Sofa").

With 28 wins and 88 total career nominations, Beyoncé now ties her husband, rapper Jay-Z , for the most nominations in Grammy history. If Beyoncé picks up four or more awards this year, she will surpass the late Georg Solti for the most Grammy wins of all time. (The Hungarian-born conductor holds the record with 31.)

Beyoncé called out by Monica Lewinsky: over 'Partition' lyric after ableism controversy

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have got "to be the most intense power couple in the history of music," Recording Academy president Harvey Mason Jr. Mason said after the nominations were revealed. "That’s music and Grammy royalty – that’s the royal family."

Their combined 176 nominations are "absolutely a testament to their talent, to their level of excellence, to their work ethic, to their level of greatness over a long period of time. I don’t even know what the next (leading) couple would be, but it’s not anywhere close.”

Beyoncé's 'Break My Soul.' Taylor Swift's 'Anti-Hero.'  These are the 10 best songs of 2022, ranked.

Beyoncé noticeably was not nominated in any of the music video categories for the Grammys, having not released any album visuals for "Renaissance" since its debut.

The announcement photo may look familiar to fans, as she donned the same glittery attire on the cover of her seventh studio album. Bey also added “Renaissance World Tour” on her Instagram bio, further accenting the news. Last week, Beyonce performed a full concert for the first time in four years at a luxury resort in Dubai in front of influencers and journalists. The 19-song set included a collaboration with her oldest daughter Blue Ivy as the two performed “Brown Skin Girl,” which earned them a Grammy two years ago for best music video.

Crowned a triumphant win by music lovers, Renaissance stormed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last year and rattled off two Hot 100 top 10 hits, including her chart-topper “Break My Soul.” The dance-centric album also notched nine Grammy nominations, the most for any nominee for this year’s ceremony. Bey is looking to rack up more trophy wins, as she currently sits at a staggering 28 wins. Nominated for album of the year, song, and record of the year, Bey is facing some stout competition , especially in the former. The R&B juggernaut will tango against Adele, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, and more for album of the year. A win in this category would serve as Beyonce’s first. The 65th Grammy Awards will occur Sunday night in Los Angeles at 8 pm EST.

Beyoncé Announces ‘Renaissance’ 2023 World Tour

Another Ticketmaster war is on the horizon as the BeyHive prepares for battle. After weeks of speculation, Beyoncé has officially confirmed a world tour in support of Renaissance , scheduled to make stops in stadiums across the world in 2023 .

The musician confirmed the news on Wednesday morning. The tour will begin in Europe this May before landing in North America on July 8 with back-to-back nights at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. The tour will make stops in Philadelphia, Nashville, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and more.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce)

The Renaissance tour marks Beyoncé’s first extended stretch on the road since the On the Run tour, which made 48 stops across North America and Europe in 2018. Those shows were proceeded by the singer’s redefining Coachella performance, which arrived as the Netflix concert film Homecoming the following year.

The clips sparked multiple viral moments, the most notable being Beyoncé’s new vocal arrangements on familiar records, including “Drunk in Love” and “Countdown.” The private concert, notably, did not include any Renaissance tracks on the setlist, even the chart-topping lead single “Break My Soul.”

The tour announcement arrives as a saving grace for a starved BeyHive, still yearning for any meaningful visual companion pieces to the singer’s acclaimed seventh studio album. If Beyoncé is heading on the road again, maybe the wait for the music videos she teased in the record release trailer won’t be too much longer.

Billie Eilish Would Like to Reintroduce Herself

Kristi noem describes executing puppy she 'hated' in new book, kanye west announces 'yeezy porn' amid reports of adult film company, ellen degeneres addresses ‘getting kicked out of show business’ on her new comedy tour: ‘it’s been a toll on my ego’, editor’s picks, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

“As is customary for her, she layers the album with enough totems to fuel a million think pieces and dissertations,” Rolling Stone shared of Renaissance . “Yet it’s also possible to simply dance and vibe to the music. This is Beyoncé at her joyous peak, and you won’t get it unless you pull the “plastic off the sofa,” “drop it like a thottie,” and enjoy Queen Bey at her thrilling best.”

Atlantis The Royal Grand Reveal Weekend 2023 - Beyonce Performance

B eyoncé’s fans have been waiting for this day: the pop megastar finally announced that she will embark on the long-awaited Renaissance World Tour. She uploaded a post to Instagram early Wednesday morning with the caption: “RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR 2023,” and her official website has been updated to show the tour dates. The tour starts in May in Sweden and will hit Belgium, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Poland, before she makes her way to North America. The first date stateside will be in Philadelphia, Pa., in July and the tour will hit the major U.S. cities before wrapping up in New Orleans, La., on Sept. 27.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce)

Following the release of her seventh album, Renaissance , in July, fans have been itching for a tour announcement, in addition to music videos to accompany the songs. Beyoncé’s last solo tour was the Formation World Tour back in 2016 to support her sixth album, Lemonade . Following that, she went on the On The Run Tour with her husband, Jay-Z, in 2018 after releasing their joint project, Everything Is Love . The announcement of a new tour just before the Grammy Awards on Sunday raises suspicion that Beyoncé might be performing or, at the very least, attending the night’s festivities.

The singer is nominated for nine Grammys at this year’s awards ceremony, which are set to take place on Feb. 5 in Los Angeles. This year, she is up against Adele for multiple awards, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. There has been speculation about whether or not Beyoncé would be performing ever since the nominations were announced. The last time fans saw her perform on a major televised stage was at last year’s Oscars ceremony, where she performed “Be Alive” from the King Richard movie for the first time.

Read More: 6 Takeaways from Beyoncé’s New Album Renaissance

Beyoncé most recently took the stage for a private concert at the opening of the Atlantis The Royal resort in Dubai in January. However, she did not perform any songs from Renaissance . Also, given that Beyoncé unveiled the album’s title on Instagram as “act [one],” her dedicated fanbase has been busy theorizing what acts two and three might be. Some have hypothesized that the tour would be act two and then a concert movie would be act three. Others have ventured to guess that this is a three-part album and that Renaissance was just the beginning.

Tickets for the concert will not be an easy get if Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is any indication. Beyoncé’s fans can click on the date they would like to attend to register for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program and will then have to wait to see if they are given an access code to purchase tickets to the event. With Verified Fan and the “unexpected” traffic the pre-sale brought to the site, many Swifties likened the ticket-buying process to a warzone. The disastrous rollout drew ire from Swift’s fans and political officials alike. After the ticketing fiasco, the Senate held a hearing to look into whether Live Nation and Ticketmaster have a monopoly over the ticketing industry. This, coupled with the technical problems that Swift fans faced, have Beyoncé fans worrying that finding their way to an actual concert will be nothing short of an ordeal.

Where can you get tickets?

Tickets for the North American leg of the tour will be available through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program. Tickets will go on sale Monday, Feb 6, with an exclusive presale to BeyHive members, according to a Live Nation press release.

Verified Fan registration is now open. Once you register, you'll be placed in a lottery system that determines which fans get invited to purchase tickets. Registration alone doesn't guarantee tickets. If you're selected, you'll get an access code the day before tickets go on sale. Everyone else will be placed on a waitlist. According to Live Nation, this process is intended to help Ticketmaster weed out the resellers and verify your account so that actual fans get priority to buy tickets.

Citi cardmembers will have a special Citi Presale after the Verified Fan process. Get more details here . Verizon will also offer an exclusive presale through their customer loyalty program Verizon Up .

Will Beyoncé be using Ticketmaster like Taylor Swift to sell tickets?

Yes, but given what happened with Taylor Swift's Eras tour (and the fact it led to Congressional hearings about Ticketmaster ’s practices), it seems very likely both Beyoncé and Ticketmaster would want to avoid repeating that mess. That most likely explains the usage of the Verified Fan system.

Where will Beyoncé be playing?

The Renaissance World Tour will hit 40 cities in North America and across Europe. Stops include Paris, London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, and many more.

What has Beyoncé said about the Renaissance World Tour?

She just announced it was happening with a post on February 1. Her website didn't immediately contain any more details. But during the Wearable Art Gala in October 2022, she appeared to confirm it would start this summer, as a backstage tour with her mother Tina Lawson was up for auction at the event.

Will Beyoncé be performing at the Grammys (on February 5) and sharing more tour details there?

Not clear yet, but she is the most nominated artist at the ceremony . On January 21, Variety reported that “ talks with show producers are ongoing for a possible onstage appearance ” by Beyoncé.

What can we expect from the tour on stage?

Beyoncé hasn't shared that yet either, but given the artistry she put into her recent Dubai show , it's fair to say we can expect no less than excellence, elaborate costumes, and an incredible experience.

This post will be updated the moment more detail is released.

Beyoncé Announces Renaissance World Tour

By Evan Minsker and Allison Hussey

Beyonc

Beyoncé has announced that she’s touring in support of her latest album, Renaissance . The tour begins with a European leg in May, followed by dates in Canada and the United States that extend from from early July through late September. It’s her first tour since her 2018 co-headlining On the Run II Tour with Jay-Z behind their collaborative album, Everything Is Love , and her first headlining tour since 2016’s Formation World Tour behind Lemonade . The Renaissance World Tour is produced by Parkwood Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation. See all of the dates below.

Renaissance arrived July 29, rising swiftly to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and marking Beyoncé’s seventh album to summit the albums chart. It is the first act in what will be a three-part series, she has indicated.

Beyoncé hinted at her world tour in late October, during the fifth annual Wearable Art Gala, where the raffle included “ a UNIQUE experience ” to see her on the Renaissance tour. Purported images from the auction featured descriptions of the summer 2023 trek. Valued at $20,000, the package included first-class plane tickets, a three-night hotel stay, two concert tickets, and a guided backstage tour from Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles aka Miss Tina. Beyoncé was reportedly in attendance at the gala. In January, she performed at the opening of a new luxury resort in Dubai, but did not play any Renaissance material at the private concert . It was her first live performance since 2020.

Since sharing Renaissance , Beyoncé has made a few adjustments to the album; she replaced ableist lyrics in “ Heated ,” and removed an interpolation of Kelis ’ “Milkshake” on “Energy” after Kelis said she was not informed by Beyoncé and her team that her music was going to be used on the new album. Beyoncé also dropped Honey Dijon and Madonna remixes of “ Break My Soul .”

In 2019, Beyoncé released Homecoming: The Live Album . The next year, she shared Black Is King , a visual album based on her 2019 soundtrack for The Lion King: The Gift . (Beyoncé voiced adult Nala in the CGI remake film.) On Juneteenth of that year, she surprise-released “ Black Parade ,” which would go on to win the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance . At the same ceremony, she also won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song (for her feature on the remix of Megan Thee Stallion ’s “ Savage ”), as well as Best Music Video (for The Gift ’s “ Brown Skin Girl ”). “ Be Alive ”—her contribution to the King Richard soundtrack—was nominated for an Oscar at last year’s ceremony.

Beyoncé is nominated for nine honors at the 2023 Grammy Awards : Record of the Year , Song of the Year , and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul”; Album of the Year and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Renaissance ; Best R&B Performance for “Virgo’s Groove”; Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa”; Best R&B Song for “Cuff It”; and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Be Alive.”

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

The Beyhive is buzzing like never before.

After much speculation, Beyoncé has officially announced her highly anticipated stadium “Renaissance Tour.”

Seven years after her “Formation Tour” and five years after the “On The Run II Tour” with her husband Jay Z, the 28-time Grammy winner (and 88-time nominee!) will embark on her solo headlining “Renaissance Tour” in support of her critically acclaimed chart-topping 2022 album “Renaissance” all summer long.

The international tour will start overseas in Sweden, Belgium, the U.K., France and Germany in May before she returns to North America for 29 huge stadium concerts starting July 8 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre .

Singer Beyoncé strikes a pose onstage.

And although Queen Bey isn’t coming to the Big Apple on the run — as of now — she will get close to the City That Never Sleeps.

On July 29 and July 30 , Mrs. Knowles is set to touch down at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium for two huge back-to-back concerts.

She’s familiar with the venue too. The last show of her “Formation Tour” was at the Giants and Jets’ home stadium on Oct. 7, 2016. That time around, she brought Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar onstage with her.

Who will she bring this time? Will she sing the same songs she did at her recent Dubai concert?

All we know is the best way to find out is live.

Want to see live music this year?

Check out our list of the 52 biggest concert tours in 2023 here.

Beyoncé 2023 tour schedule

Where will Beyoncé go on tour in North America?

Below, you’ll find a complete list of all upcoming 26 tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets for shows where the pre-sale has already taken place.

Beyoncé opening acts

At the time of publication, Beyoncé does not have any opening acts lined up for her 2023 “Renaissance Tour” although there are rumors that 74-year-old singer Grace Jones will be joining her swirling on Twitter .

We personally can’t get enough of Jones’ seven-minute cover of Roxy Music’s “Love Is the Drug.”

In 2016, Knowles was joined by DJ Khaled on the “Formation Tour.” Two years later, she co-headlined with her husband and fellow 88-time Grammy nominee Jay Z on the “On The Run II Tour.”

Beyoncé Dubai setlist

Although Beyoncé didn’t perform any tracks from her 2022 record “Renaissance” at the Jan. 23 concert in Dubai, she was able to cram in several hits from her expansive catalogue as well as a few covers into her 17-song set.

Here’s her set list (courtesy of  SetList.FM ):

01.)  “At Last”   (Harry Warren cover; made famous by Etta James)

Beyoncé “Renaissance” album

Knowles’ “Renaissance” was the most critically-acclaimed album of 2022 showing up on countless year-end lists as 2022’s best.

The 16-track album, clocking in at just a little over an hour was also extremely popular with fans as well quickly charting at number on the Billboard 200, making it Beyoncé’s seventh album to hit the top spot.

However, the record that brought the world “Break My Soul” may have more to it.

Beyoncé has hinted that the record is part of a three-part series; in a June 28, 2022 announcement she called it “Act I.”

Since the album’s release, it has undergone a few transformations.

According to Pitchfork, Beyoncé “replaced ableist lyrics in “ Heated ,” and  removed  an interpolation of  Kelis ’ “Milkshake” on “Energy” after Kelis said  she was not informed  by Beyoncé and her team that her music was going to be used on the new album.”

She also reportedly dropped  Honey Dijon  and  Madonna  remixes of “Break My Soul.”

Beyoncé Grammys

Beyonce’s seventh studio album “Renaissance,” netted nine Grammy nominations for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song and Best Song Written For Visual Media.

The nine nominations tie Beyonce with her husband Jay Z for most all-time Grammy nominations with 88 apiece.

Huge concert tours in 2023

While a Beyoncé tour announcement may trump all others in terms of hype, there quite a few exciting tours to look out for in the next few months.

Here are just five of our favorite, can’t miss concerts that may be coming to a city near you soon.

•  Taylor Swift

•  Madonna

•  Adele

•  Janet Jackson

Ticketmaster's handling of Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour could affect major tours going forward as lawsuits and fans push misconduct allegations.

Beyoncé returned to the stage last month, playing a show in Dubai for the opening of a resort. However, she reportedly did not perform any songs from "Renaissance."

Fans are hoping Beyoncé may give a preview of her upcoming tour at  the Grammys  later this month. She is nominated for nine awards.

Taylor Swift and Beyoncé Avoided a Collision on the Charts. (Again.)

Pop’s two reigning queens are often cast as rivals, but they have continually supported each other — and spaced out their album releases.

A woman in a black outfit with gold flourishes (including a cowboy) hat; a blond woman in a strapless gown.

By Craig Marks

In February, Taylor Swift took the stage at the Grammy Awards to accept the prize for best pop vocal album. After dutifully thanking the Recording Academy and her fans, she got down to business: “My brand-new album comes out April 19,” she said, in a surprise announcement revealing “The Tortured Poets Department.” It was a heads up for her loyal followers, as well as anyone else in the business with a spring release on the radar: If you want your new album to debut at No. 1, don’t release it on April 19. Or April 26. Or May 3, for that matter.

A week later, following a teaser during a Super Bowl commercial, Beyoncé also dropped news of a new album : “Cowboy Carter” would arrive earlier than “Poets,” with breathing room, on March 29. Another pop powerhouse in the Grammy audience made her own announcement in early April: Billie Eilish will unveil her forthcoming third album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” a month after Swift’s release, on May 17.

Beyoncé and Swift, the 21st century’s pre-eminent pop stars, have often been cast as competitors if not rivals, a story line partly rooted in misogyny and amplified by dueling fan armies filled with stans, or superfans.

For their part, the two artists have regularly dispelled the notion over the years. They were first linked, through no fault of their own, at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when Kanye West interrupted a Swift acceptance speech to advocate for her fellow nominee Beyoncé; later that night, Beyoncé brought Swift onstage to finish her remarks. In 2021, Swift shared on Instagram that Beyoncé had sent her congratulatory flowers after Swift won the album of the year Grammy for “Folklore,” calling Beyoncé “the queen of grace & greatness.” And last year, following their blockbuster stadium tours, they appeared at each other’s concert film premieres, a pointed rebuke to message-board zealots looking to sow discord.

“Clearly, it’s very lucrative for the media and stan culture to pit two women against each other, even when the two artists in question refuse to participate in that discussion,” Swift told Time magazine. (Representatives for Swift and Beyoncé declined to comment.)

In fact, when it comes to album releases, whether by design or by chance, the two superstars have generally avoided one another altogether. The only other time they’ve released LPs in the same window was way back in November 2008, when Beyoncé’s “I Am … Sasha Fierce” supplanted Swift’s “Fearless” at No. 1. Absent Swift’s 2006 debut LP, every studio album from Beyoncé and Swift — 21 in all, including Swift’s rerecordings of her earlier catalog — has entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1. (Eilish’s previous albums both opened big at the top, as well.)

In the streaming era, where songs have superseded albums as music’s main currency, and chart placements are based on an opaque formula that blends streams with sales, a No. 1 album doesn’t have quite the same cultural or historical resonance it once did. Still, said Jonathan Daniel of Crush Management, which oversees the careers of Miley Cyrus, Green Day and Lorde, it remains “a great talking point,” perhaps most of all for the online superfans who take pride in hoisting their heroes to the top.

“Pop-stan Twitter is fierce,” Daniel said. Partisans treat the Spotify and Billboard charts like a zero-sum game. “It’s their version of sports.”

While top artists and their teams tend to avoid overlapping album releases in order to secure a No. 1 and the bragging rights that go along with it, that wasn’t always the case. “In the days when the only way to consume music was to go to your local record store or big-box retailer, labels would sometimes schedule a release so that it would come out on the same day as a similar but bigger release,” said Keith Caulfield, Billboard’s managing director of charts and data operations.

That way, someone who came to Best Buy to purchase, say, “the ‘Bodyguard’ soundtrack might also spot the new Anita Baker CD and say, ‘I’ll get that, too,’” he said. Before social media, where artists can post album updates to their followers with unrelenting frequency, casual fans might not even have known a new record existed unless they spotted it in the wild.

One of the most high-profile examples of convergent superstar releases came in September 2007, when the rappers Kanye West and 50 Cent colluded to issue their new albums on the same date. “We marketed it like a heavyweight boxing match,” said Dennis Dennehy, who led publicity for 50 Cent’s label, Interscope. “It was Ali vs. Frazier.”

West and 50 Cent, both signed to subsidiary labels of Universal Music Group, appeared together on the cover of Rolling Stone to hype the event and draw people to record stores. “It was like a get-out-the-vote campaign,” Dennehy said. The reward was increased first-week sales of both titles and a clarion call for hip-hop’s commercial clout; the risk, as 50 Cent found out, was finishing a distant second. Kelefa Sanneh, writing for The Times , called it “a low point” in 50 Cent’s career.

Nearly two decades later, competing film studios borrowed a page from that playbook and plotted the movie event known as “Barbenheimer” last summer. Both “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” opened on July 21, and moviegoers flocked to theaters, some seeing both films in the same afternoon. “Barbie” grossed $162 million that weekend, “Oppenheimer” $82.4 million.

“Usually, movie release dates are this big game of chicken,” said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst for box-office tracker Comscore. “Like, who’s going to blink first and move off their date.” In this case, the studios purposefully went head-to-head in the heat of the summer movie season. The result? “It turned into an absolute phenomenon,” Dergarabedian said. “Both movies were winners.”

For the likes of Swift and Beyoncé, pinpointing an album release date is both art and science, a calculation based on such disparate factors as proposed tour schedules, the availability of vinyl pressing plants and optimal timing for Grammy consideration. And sometimes, even the best laid plans can go awry.

Daniel recounted that last year, Cyrus’s “Endless Summer Vacation” and Lana Del Rey’s “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” were originally slated to be released on the same date, but Del Rey’s album ended up pushing back two weeks. “And then Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing at a Time’ came out the week before,” he said, “and knocked us all out of the water .”

Idina Menzel

Idina Menzel is a Tony Award-winning powerhouse multi-hyphenate: a singer, an actress in film and TV, a songwriter, a Broadway star, and a philanthropist. She rose to fame for her role as Maureen in the Broadway musical Rent , and her career took off when she won a Tony Award for her role as Elphaba in the smash musical Wicked . Her voice can be heard as Elsa in Disney’s Oscar® winning Frozen , the second highest-grossing animated film of all time, with more than $1.2 billion in worldwide box office revenue. The film’s song “Let It Go”, voiced by Menzel, became an instant international phenomenon, winning the Oscar® for Best Original Song–where Menzel performed it at the ceremony–and the Grammy® Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. The track reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Menzel the first artist with both a Billboard Top 10 hit and a Tony Award for acting.

Menzel recently released three electrifying singles “Move”, “Dramatic” and “Beast” from her new album, Drama Queen , set to be released on August 18 via BMG. The project is a departure from what she’s released in the past, as Menzel showcases her powerhouse vocals through disco-infused beats and soaring anthems. For the album, Idina worked with award-winning collaborators including Nile Rodgers (Chic, Diana Ross, Beyonce), Justin Tranter (Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez), Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters), Sir Nolan (Shawn Mendes, Carly Rae Jepsen), Jim Eliot (Elie Goulding, Kylie Minogue) and more.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Kid Cudi cancels tour: Ankle broken at Coachella is ‘much more serious,’ needs surgery

Kid Cudi is canceling his upcoming Insano: Engage the Rage World Tour after finding out his broken ankle is “much more serious” than he thought.

“Guys, so, I have a broken calcaneus,” Cudi posted Wednesday on social media. “Im headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all.”

Kid Cudi is ‘hoping’ his Coachella broken ankle will be healed in time for Insano tour

Kid Cudi offers an update on the ankle he broke jumping off the Sahara stage on the last day of Coachella 2024. He seems upbeat, albeit a little uncertain.

April 23, 2024

The calcaneus is more commonly known as the heel bone. While some ankle fractures can heal in weeks, a broken calcaneus has a longer recovery time. “This type of fracture commonly occurs during a high-energy event — such as a car crash or a fall from a ladder — when the heel is crushed under the weight of the body,” the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons says on its website . Surgery is often required to prevent heel deformity.

This, friends, is why you don’t jump off one of the tallest stages at Coachella.

“There’s just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%,” Cudi said. “The injury is much more serious than I thought.”

The U.S. leg of the Insano tour was supposed to start June 28 in Austin, Texas, and conclude with a show in Los Angeles on Aug. 30. Kid Cudi planned to head to Europe in early 2025; it’s unclear whether that part of the tour is still on.

Drake removed from lawsuit over Astroworld crowd crush that left 10 fans dead

A judge removes Drake, who performed with Travis Scott at the 2021 Astroworld concert, from a suit filed by families of the 10 fans who died in a crowd crush.

April 12, 2024

The rapper said that ticket holders will be contacted by email and receive a full refund. Also, new tour dates will be announced as soon as possible.

In a video posted earlier this week and captured by TMZ , Kid Cudi said with a chuckle, “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around offstage like he’s 26, like he used to do back in the day.” He added that he was “hoping” to be healed up in time to hit the road.

So much for that idea.

“I’m so sorry fam and I love you all so much, thanks for the endless love and support. Im really disappointed as im sure you guys are too, but I will be back. Thats a promise,” the rapper wrote Wednesday.

“Im ok, just a lil soreness, but im in good spirits.”

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .
