Tour Itinerary

Day 1 arrival | cairo.

Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where our representative will be eagerly waiting to meet and assist you. Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Cairo for check-in.

Overnight:  Hotel in Cairo 

Day 2 The Giza Plateau and Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, journey to the Giza Plateau and visit the legendary Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx . Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to these wondrous monuments. Afterward, you will have some free time to explore the area around the pyramids or partake in optional activities (at an additional cost).

Optional Activities:

• Enter the pyramids and explore their chambers
• Roam around the pyramids on camelback. 

Following your tour of the Giza Plateau, pay a visit to the Egyptian Museum and explore the amazing collection of Tutankhamun. The museum features many other fascinating artifacts that provide a rich insight to the culture of ancient Egypt. Your guide will familiarize you with the museum's highlights before allowing you to explore at your own leisure.

Day 3 Sharm El-Sheikh

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport to board your flight to Sharm El Sheikh. This beautiful resort town has something for everyone. Enjoy the pristine beaches with an impeccable view of the crystal clear waters and coral reefs. You will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of optional activities to enhance your experience during your stay.

Day 4 Sharm El-Sheikh

Enjoy a free day to participate in any optional activities that may interest you. You will have the option of scuba diving, snorkeling, and participating in several water sports. 

Alternatively, you might wish to unwind with some fishing beside the beautiful coral reefs. The golden sands of the beach surrounded by the mountains of the Sinai make for an unforgettable experience.

Day 5 Sharm El-Sheikh

Experience the exciting nightlife of Sharm El Sheikh at your leisure. You may also choose to partake in an optional tour of your liking. 

(Option 1) Journey to St. Catherine’s Monastery , located at the base of Mount Sinai. Climb up the holy mountain and visit the sacred ground where Moses approached the burning bush. Your personal guide will accompany you along your climb and visit to the monastery. 

(Option 2) Visit the first Egyptian national park, Ras Mohammed for an unforgettable diving and snorkeling experience. The waters here are crystal clear and house a large assortment of fish. The natural beauty of this area is breathtaking above and below water.

Day 6 Sharm El-Sheikh

Enjoy the wonderful experience of Sharm El Sheikh during another free day of optional activities and tours. Relax on the beachside while overlooking the crystal clear waters or unwind while fishing by the colorful coral reefs. During the evening, you will have the option to experience the exciting nightlife of Sharm or partake in optional tours. 

(Option 1) St. Catherine’s Monastery and Mount Sinai

Follow in the footsteps of Moses and visit Mount Sinai. Witness an unforgettable view from atop the mountain. Your guide will accompany you along the way and introduce you to the nearby Saint Catherine’s Monastery as you descend. 

(Option 2) Enjoy a scenic boat ride to one of Egypt’s most beautiful national parks, Ras Mohammed. Sail around the scenic Tiran Island and scuba dive into its clear waters. Beneath the water, you will find an assortment of colorful fish and coral reefs. You may also choose to partake in deep-sea fishing.

Day 7 Return to Cairo

Check out from your luxury hotel and transfer to Sharm Airport. Catch a flight back to Cairo and check into your hotel for your final night in Egypt.

Day 8 Departure

You will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for departure.

Price quotes are in US dollars per person per trip and are valid until April 30th, 2025. Please inquire about pricing over Christmas, New Year’s, and Easter holidays.

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the full price. This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.

Children Policy

A child traveling with two accompanying adults will pay the following:

• 0 years to 1.99 years of age: Free of charge.
• 2 years to 4.99 years of age: 50% of the total rate.
• 5 years to 11.99 years of age: 75% of the total rate ·
• 12+ pay full tour price as per adult person.

Notes: Children policy is applied to children who share rooms with their parents (Maximum 1 Child sharing a parent's room). If 2 children, they will stay in another room connected or next to the parents' room.

  Most people visit the very modern city of Sharm el Sheikh for its Red Sea diving, world-class hotels and glitzy nightlife, but did you know that Sharm el Sheikh has been a site for visitors for thousands of years, due to its strategic location on the trade route between Africa and Asia? Its name means Bay of Sheikhs but is also known locally as the City of Peace due to the high number of peace conferences which are held here. You will be able to get a taste of the religious tolerance, old and modern architecture and local Egyptian life that most tourists don’t have the chance to experience on their stay here.

You will be picked up in A/C mini bus by your city tour guide at about 3pm.

Hay Al-Noor (Al Nour district) 

Our first place of interest will be the al-Noor district of the city, where we will visit the Heavenly Cathedral. Built a mere 11 years ago, this Catholic cathedral is definitely worth visiting for its stunning architecture and beautiful murals depicting scenes from the bible. You guide will also be able to give you information about the history of Christianity in Egypt.

The next stop in Al-Noor will be to Al-Mostafa Mosque. Here your guide will be able to give you some information about the style and architecture of the Mosque and about Islam itself.

Al-Fanar lighthouse

The lighthouse at Al-Fanar is located right at the edge of Om El Sid Hill and offers some of the most breath-taking views over the Sharm coast line and the Gulf of Aqaba. Here we can sit down, relax and soak up the panoramas. There is also an amazing peace memorial here. The design is impressive and a great place for a photo.

Sahaba Mosque in the old market

Al  Sahaba Mosque  of  Sharm el Sheikh   is made using  Fatimid, Mamluk and Ottoman style elements into its architecture and interior design.   It is consid ered the most important mosque built within the decade.

Also,  If you want to experience local Egyptian life, then the shopping area of Old Market is the best place for our final stop. Here you will get the chance to mingle with the locals and do a stop of shopping if you wish.

Transfer back to your hotel

We will finish the tour at about 6pm and your guide will escort you back to your hotel in the city of Sharm el Sheikh

• Currency £ Egyptian Pound Egypt

As a traveller from USA, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa you will need an adaptor for types C, E, F.

• These are only indications, so please visit your doctor before you travel to be 100% sure.
• Typhoid - Recommended for Egypt. Ideally 2 weeks before travel.
• Hepatitis A - Recommended for Egypt. Ideally 2 weeks before travel.
• Hepatitis B - Recommended for Egypt. Ideally 2 months before travel.
• Rabies - Recommended for Egypt. Ideally 1 month before travel.
• Yellow fever - Certificate of vaccination required if arriving from an infected area for Egypt. Ideally 10 days before travel.
• Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
• Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
• For any tour departing before July 15th, 2024 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 15th, 2024, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Ancient Egypt Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
