“Private Eyes” will be watching Daryl Hall all spring and summer long.

From May through August, the venerable ’80s pop star along with his Daryl’s House Band is embarking on a 13-concert tour all over North America.

Along the way, the “You Make My Dreams Come True” crooner will drop into Montclair, NJ’s Wellmont Theater on May 24, Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on June 7 and Atlantic City’s Borgata Casino Event Center on June 9.

Best of all, you won’t need to be a “Rich Girl” to catch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee live on his 2023 tour.

At the time of publication, we found some tickets going for as low as $41 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Not a bad price to hear all-time classic hits like “Sara Smile,” “Maneater,” “She’s Gone,” “I Can’t Go For That,” “Kiss On My List” and so many more live.

Plus, Hall and co. will be joined by classic rock icon Todd Rundgren for all shows making the deal even sweeter.

Want to see the rocker do his thing live this year?

Here’s how to get tickets for Hall’s summer 2023 tour today.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Daryl Hall 2023 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all 2023 tour dates, venues and links to the cheapest tickets available for all shows can be found below.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Daryl Hall new music

In 2022, Hall released the ambitious 30-track album “Before After.”

The record harkens back to Hall’s classic piano-based hits and ballads of yesteryear.

We’re particularly fond of the bouncy “Babs and Babs” that wouldn’t feel out of place on a Hall and Oates ’80s cassette you’d blast while driving down the highway.

Want to hear the whole album — which includes a few live songs — to get a taste for yourself?

You can hear “Before After” in its entirety here .

Daryl Hall set list

What has Hall been playing live recently?

Here’s a sneak peek at what made the cut on his 2022 run of shows courtesy of Set List FM .

01.) “Dreamtime” 02.) “Romeo Is Bleeding” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song) 03.) “Out of Touch” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song) 04.) “Say It Isn’t So” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song) 05.) “I’m in a Philly Mood” 06.) “Cab Driver” 07.) “Everytime You Go Away” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song) 08.) “Babs and Babs” 09.) “Here Comes the Rain Again” (Eurythmics cover) 10.) “Sara Smile” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song) 11.) “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song) Encore:

12.) “Wait for Me” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song) (with Todd Rundgren) 13.) “Can We Still Be Friends” (Todd Rundgren cover) (with Todd Rundgren) 14.) “Expressway to Your Heart” (The Soul Survivors cover) (with Todd Rundgren) 15.) “You Make My Dreams” (Daryl Hall & John Oates song)

Todd Rundgren

Rundgren, 74, is a legend in his own right.

In 2021, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for huge hits and FM radio staples like “I Saw The Light,” “Hello It’s Me” and “Bang The Drum All Day” as well his work in Nazz, The New Cars, Runt, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, Utopia and Woody’s Truck Stop.

He gets around.

You can find his entire catalog up to his collaborative 2022 album “Space Force” here .

One half of the widely successful folk-rock duo, Hall & Oates, Daryl Hall has forged a successful career in his own right and has recently found huge popularity with his monthly Web Television series, "Live From Daryl's House."

Hall first met Oates whilst studying at Temple University in their native Philadelphia, US. After a brief period of separation, during which Hall played with rock band Gulliver, Oates reunited with Hall in 1972, after which they quickly established themselves in the world of music.Through their manager Tommy Mottola, the pair signed with Atlantic Records to release their first recordings, "Whole Oates" and "War Babies."

It was after moving to New York, US in 1976, changing to RCA Records, that the pair were to create a breakthrough hit, the Top Ten single, "Sara Smile." "Rich Girl" followed, helping to bolster the popularity of their album, "Bigger Than the Both of Us." Streamlining their sound to more straight-up rock, they continued to release quality records into the 80s, finding double-Platinum success with "H2O." The 1984 album, "Big Bam Boom" sold over two million copies and featured four hit singles, proving Hall & Oates had the songwriting credentials for the band's longevity. They became one of the most successful artists of their era, topping the charts more times than the Everly Brothers, yet it was not to last, as the pair disbanded to pursue solo careers.

Hall released a string of albums, "3 Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine" (1986), "Soul Alone" (1993) and "Can't Stop Dreaming" (1999), although they failed to live up to the heights of success that the duo had mustered previously. The pair reunited at periods during the 90s and 2000s, recording a number of albums, with 1997's "Marigold Sky" proving to be their most successful. In 2004, his songwriting process was recognized, after being inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame.

In 2007, Hall began a monthly web show, "Live From Daryl's House," that featured Hall and his band collaborating with a host of eclectic performers, such as Smokey Robinson, Todd Rundgren, Plain White T's and Chromeo. The success of the series reinvigorated Hall, who recorded "Laughing Down Crying," his first solo venture in 14 years, released in 2011. The euphoria of regaining success was short-lived, however, after the death of his longtime producer, T-Bone Wolk, before the album's completion.

Live reviews

With crazily catchy hits like ‘Maneater’, ‘Private Eyes’ and ‘Rich Girl’ all a part of Daryl Hall’s repertoire, it’s kind of a no-brainer that a Hall & Oates concert would be out-of-this world awesome. Despite being in their sixties, the duo absolutely bring it when they perform live. Their energy is infectious and it’s no wonder that every time I’ve seen them perform, I’ve woken up totally exhausted the next day. A Hall & Oates gig is an all-singing, all-dancing affair just as you might expect. It’s amazing how cool Daryl Hall still looks up on stage with his flowing blonde locks and wraparound shades; if I manage even a fraction of his coolness in my sixties I’ll be happy. Standing in the crowd and looking up at Daryl as he opens a gig, you just know that when the lights go down and his band starts to play, that this man is one hundred percent at home up on stage. Whether he’s touring his solo work, or performing his power-pop-rock hits alongside John Oates, you’re guaranteed to have a night you won’t forget. I’m a firm believe that there is a Hall & Oates song appropriate for every life event, and, as cliché as this might be, the song that most accurately reflects how it feels to catch a Daryl Hall concert is obviously ‘You Make My Dreams’. Go see him live. Seriously.

Although Daryl Hall is consistently committed to the duo Hall & Oates, he does occasionally take to the road solo to air some of his own releases as well as covers from his infamous band. Considered to be one of the most gifted songwriters of the 20th century, it seemed pretty natural for Daryl to have a side project throughout the career and he collaborated often with esteemed producer Robert Fripp.

Although Hall & Oates have a larger pull for the fanbase, the venue is still packed out tonight for Daryl's solo headline show and as he steps onto the stage the whole audience cheer largely. He hand selects his own personal favourite work from the discography including the sincere 'Eyes for You (Ain't No Doubt About It)' along with the recognisable Hall & Oates tracks such as 'Private Eyes' and 'Man-eater'. The audience watches on in quiet anticipation as Hall keeps the show pacy before culminating in 'I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)' which has the whole room singing. He has saved two gems for the encore of 'Rich Girl' and 'You Make My Dreams' before he exits to even larger applause than when he appears.

Daryl Hall is what dreams are made of for Music. Whomever he sings with is the icing on the cake. He just makes music better, performers better, musicians better. I followed his career and most concerts where I could attend. My family became instant big fans. Was also there the night of the Grand Opening Of Daryls House in New York with John Oates. Also saw him many times in New York and Pa.

Daryl when you come to Orlando this summer have Rumer and Todd Rundgren with you also. Let me know. and Thank you for the Music and lyrics. Teresa Asaro

"Daryl made the rest of us look as if we had just crawled out of a hedge," Costello later wrote in liner notes for the LP. "My humor wasn't helped by the record company representative shrieking at the makeup girl: 'Make him look handsome' as I was about to go under the pancake. Ah! The '80s."

Daryl Hall and John Oates are the NUMBER-ONE SELLING DUO in music history!

Beginning as two devoted disciples of earlier soul greats, Daryl Hall & John Oates are today soul survivors in their own rights. They have become such musical influences on future generations of popular artists that Spin Magazine’s September 2006 cover headline read: “Why Hall and Oates are the New Velvet Underground.” One of the most sampled artists today, their impact can be heard everywhere from boy band harmonies to neo-soul to rap-rock fusion.

Signed to Atlantic by Ahmet Ertegun in the early 1970s, Daryl Hall & John Oates have sold more records than any other duo in music history. Their 1973 album, Abandoned Luncheonette , produced by Arif Mardin, yielded the Top 10 single, “She’s Gone,” which also went to #1 on the R&B charts when it was covered by Tavares. The duo recorded one more album with Atlantic, War Babies (produced by Todd Rundgren) before they signed to RCA. Their tenure at RCA would catapult Daryl and John to international superstardom.

From the mid-’70s to the mid-’80s, the duo would score six #1 singles, including “Rich Girl,”, “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)” (also #1 R&B), “Maneater” and “Out of Touch” from six multi-platinum albums—’76’s Bigger Than Both of Us , ’80’s Voices , ’81’s Private Eyes , ’82’s H2O , ’83’s Rock ’N Soul, Part 1 and ’84’s Big Bam Boom . The era would also produce an additional 8 Top 10 singles: “Sara Smile,” “You Make My Dreams (Come True),” “Did It In a Minute,” “Family Man,” “One on One,” “Say It Isn’t So,” “Adult Education” and “Method of Modern Love.”

By 1984, the R.I.A.A. recognized Daryl Hall and John Oates as the number-one selling duo in music history, a record they still hold today.

In 1985 singer Paul Young covered the Daryl-written Voices album track “Everytime You Go Away,” scoring a #1 hit and helping to establish the song as a modern standard. That same year, Daryl and John participated in the historic “We Are the World” session, reopened the legendary Apollo Theatre in the company of their heroes David Ruffin & Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations, and closed the globally broadcast Live Aid show in Philadelphia.

Across the succeeding decades, Daryl and John have continued to record and tour both individually and together, while their self-composed songs have evolved from current hits to timeless classics. In 2003, Daryl Hall and John Oates were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, followed by their 2014 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Daryl Hall’s latest project is the multi-award-winning monthly web series and TV show, Live from Daryl’s House , which pairs him with friends, contemporaries, influences and devotees for spontaneous performances and a behind the scenes glimpse into artists at work and play. He also opened “Daryl’s House,” a restaurant and music club in Pawling, NY. “Daryl’s House,” which also serves as the backdrop for Live From Daryl’s House , aims to combine top-notch food with amazing live performances.

John Oates released his memoir, Change Of Seasons (St. Martin’s Press) in 2017. Relying on his many handwritten journals, he brings to light many fascinating stories, ranging over his entire life, with a journalist’s eye and a poet’s heart. John is creatively involved in the Nashville music scene, producing and writing for video and film projects as well as contributing to raising awareness for “Feeding America” through online virtual concerts.

Demonstrating the duo’s massive popularity across decades, generations and listening formats, in 2020 Daryl and John celebrated a milestone 1 billion streams of “You Make My Dreams (Come True).” Ubiquitous in films, commercials and playlists, the song encapsulates the essential and enduring appeal of Daryl Hall & John Oates. Their music makes people feel good. Always has, always will.

Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, release BeforeAfter, the first-ever solo retrospective from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall, as a two-disc set and across all digital platforms, available globally today [April 1st, 2022].

Hall will also embark on his first solo tour in a decade, performing on historic stages like NYC's Carnegie Hall and Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, with special guest and fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Todd Rundgren supporting.

Compiled and sequenced by Hall, BeforeAfter features thirty tracks spanning all five of his solo albums, from the 1980's Robert Fripp-produced Sacred Songs through 2011's Laughing Down Crying, which was co-produced with longtime Hall compatriot T-Bone Wolk, who sadly passed before the album was released. Additionally, the collection features six never-released performances from the pathbreaking web and television series Live From Daryl's House, which Hall launched in 2007 with the then-novel idea of "playing with my friends and putting it up on the internet." Special guests on the Live From Daryl's House tracks include Rundgren, Dave Stewart, and Monte Montgomery. Taken as a whole, BeforeAfter draws unexpected and satisfying connections between the esoteric and accessible sides of Daryl Hall's creativity.

"I picked this collection of songs from my solo albums because I feel they encapsulate certain periods of my career." says Hall. "It also shows the diversity of working with collaborators like Robert Fripp or Dave Stewart. And, having some tracks from LFDH on it, really makes the compilation complete."

As Jeremy Holiday writes in the accompanying BeforeAfter liner notes, "How paradoxical that Daryl Hall is most associated in the public imagination with a long-term musical partner. Because few artists are as individualistic, and individually complete ... Yet Daryl Hall is also a brilliant collaborator, and, perhaps ironically, that quality is equally if not more apparent within his solo work. More than a chance to work 'alone,' Hall's individual pursuits have granted him license to be more eclectic in his choice of collaborators and to push further outside the expected bounds."

Those collaborators include not only Fripp and Wolk, but Stewart, who co-produced Hall's 1986 album Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine and co-wrote a number of its tracks, and even Mariah Carey who contributed vocals to 1993's Soul Alone. That spirit of collaboration has also guided Live From Daryl's House from its inception, with Hall welcoming multiple generations of artists - from Smokey Robinson and Cheap Trick to Aloe Blacc and Grace Potter - over the show's fifteen-year history.

Daryl Hall's 2022 Live Nation tour will launch on today in Chicago at the Auditorium Theatre and will continue through April 16th with stops at iconic venues such as Ryman Theater in Nashville on April 3rd and Carnegie Hall in New York on April 14th. He will play a hometown show at The Met Philadelphia on April 9th. Todd Rundgren will be a special guest on all dates.

John Oates on Life After Hall & Oates: ‘I’m Trying to Rediscover Who I Am as an Individual’

By Andy Greene

Andy Greene

For the majority of John Oates ’ professional career, solo work was a means to keep busy and creatively fulfilled between the Daryl Hall & John Oates projects that took up most of his time. But now that the duo has hopelessly fractured after more than 50 years of partnership, Oates has the time to concentrate all his energies on his own music, beginning with his new LP, Reunion , out May 17.

The album is the culmination of years of work and features original compositions he wrote with A.J. Croce, Keith Sykes, Jim Lauderdale, Joe Henry, and Adam Ezra. There are also covers of songs by John Prine and Allan Fraser. It was recorded with many top Nashville session musicians, including bassist Marc Rogers, guitarist David Kalmusky, drummer Josh Day, and dobro player Jerry Douglas.

The title track was inspired by a conversation he had with his father, who is about to turn 101. “He’s not doing well,” Oates says. “But he’s clear enough to see the approaching horizon. When I was visiting him a while back, he told me that he felt like he was going to reunite with my mom. Like a lot of people do at the end of their life, he’s starting to think about the next step.”

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

The Reunion track “Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee” is ostensibly an ode to the legendary blues duo who spent decades playing together, but it actually tackles deeper issues. Oates studied their history and learned that McGhee went blind as a teenager, and Terry had difficulty walking later in life. “They literally needed each other to get onstage and perform in the latter part of their career,” he says. “And I thought to myself, ‘Well, that’s an amazing story on its own.’ But what’s more compelling for me was the fact that it was really an ode to kindness and lending a helping hand, and that’s what I wanted to impart in those lyrics.”

Oates decided to cover John Prine’s 2005 song “Long Monday” after being invited to perform at a tribute show to the songwriter at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. It brought his mind all the way back to the recording of 1972’s Whole Oats , the first Hall & Oates record. It was recorded in New York with Arif Mardin at the exact moment he was producing Diamonds in the Rough with Prine.

John Oates Is Pretty Sure Hall & Oates Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together

Hall and oates legal battle won't stop john oates from beaming on 'get your smile on', ‘the masked singer’ reveals rock god embroiled in ugly lawsuit.

Oates is playing many Reunion songs on his ongoing U.S. tour, which hits intimate theaters with a stripped-down band. “It’s a listening-type show,” he says. “I don’t play any standing-room shows. That’s a hard and fast rule for me. It is really a listening experience.” Near the end of the set, he breaks out a handful of Hall & Oates classics like “Out of Touch,” “She’s Gone,” and “I Can’t Go for That.”

“The rule of thumb for a performer is you save your big ones for the end,” he says. “I’ve always played ‘She’s Gone’ at the end. It’s one of those songs that stands a test of time, and it’s just so important to me in my life and my music. But on the last run, I decided to end with ‘Reunion.’ I didn’t know how it would work, but everyone stood up and applauded. I was like, ‘Wow. I’ve never in my whole life have ended a show with a song that no one’s ever heard.'”

He went even further out of his comfort zone near the end of last year when he agreed to appear on the 10th season of Fox’s The Masked Singer. It required him to don a cumbersome anteater costume every night and sing songs like “Waking in Memphis” by Marc Cohn and “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys. When the request initially came in, he was very unsure about participating.

“I thought, ‘I wonder what’s going to happen if people maybe don’t recognize my voice due to the fact that Daryl’s voice is such a signature of the Hall & Oates big hits?'” he says.

He was competing against names like Macy Gray, Billie Jean King, Metta World Peace, and Keyshia Cole, but didn’t know it: Backstage, Oates had to wear a sweatshirt that said “Don’t Talk to Me” along with gloves and a tinted welder’s mask. “You have to put that on in the hotel to walk through the lobby to get into the limo, to go to the TV studio,” he says. “Then you get out of the car and they lead you into your trailer. It’s the only time you can take that stuff off. Even the stagehands don’t know who you are.”

Future and Metro Boomin Tap J. Cole for 'We Still Don't Trust You' Despite Apparent Diss

Norm macdonald was the hater o.j. simpson could never outrun, watch paul mccartney, the eagles perform 'let it be' at jimmy buffett tribute concert, the battle over classic rock band the guess who just went nuclear.

He came in sixth place on the show and has no regrets about any of it. “The judges are fantastic,” he says. “The vibe is just so positive. They’re not there to tear anyone down. They’re just really having fun. When I got unmasked, I was like, ‘OK, I think I’m done.'”

His focus now is the upcoming series of solo shows, but he’s also finishing up an EP of modern R&B songs he recorded with Nashville-based singer-songwriter Devon Gilfillian. He’s going to record some songs with the the blues-rock band Robert Jon & the Wreck and producer Dave Cobb too. “There’s a whole bunch of things happening that really, really light my fire,” he says. “And I want to see where it takes me.”

John Oates Says Hall and Oates Are Finished: ‘I’ve Moved On’

John Oates says his half-century musical partnership with Daryl Hall has come to an end after months of public, ongoing litigation between the two.

“You can ask Daryl the same question,” Oates told Rolling Stone in a new interview. “But, yes. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve moved on. I feel like I have a new lease on my creative life.”

The drama between both musicians became public knowledge last November, when Hall filed a lawsuit (and obtained a temporary restraining order ) against Oates in an attempt to block Oates from selling his share in their joint venture to Primary Wave Music, claiming it would violate the terms of the duo’s business agreement. Hall said he was “ blindsided ” by Oates’ actions and called them the “ultimate business betrayal,” while Oates said he was “ deeply hurt ” by his partner’s accusations.

Why Does John Oates Think Hall and Oates Are Finished?

For decades, both Hall and Oates supplemented their hit-making and large-scale touring with solo musical endeavors. Oates told Rolling Stone that his pandemic-enforced downtime led him to reconsider the balance he sought between the two.

“During the pandemic, there were no more private planes. There were no more arena shows or even acoustic shows. It gave me a chance to step back. I had a chance to reevaluate things,” he said. “My wife and I decided it was time to give back. We started the Oates Song Fest for Feeding America, and we fed 350,000 families with that. And then I was asked to do Movember, which was a men’s health movement. I just got out of the mode of getting back on stage with the big band and the big production.”

READ MORE: Why John Oates Is Glad Hall and Oates’ Big Years Are Behind Them

Consequently, Oates no longer feels the need to perform his time-honored hits before tens of thousands of people each night. “I understand why people come and want to hear the big hits,” he said. “Those songs are going to live forever. But I wanted to relegate them to the classic file that they’re in. And I wanted them to be heard in the best possible light, the way they were when the spark was on fire in the ‘70s and ’80s. That’s when those songs really resonated. To keep playing them, for me, was no longer interesting. I just wanted to do something else.”

Oates Denies Trying to Sabotage Hall, Still Open to Friendship

Hall’s lawsuit against Oates coincided with his series of tour dates with Todd Rundgren . “I believe that John Oates timed the Unauthorized Transaction to create the most harm to me,” Hall wrote in his legal filing.

Oates, however, denied this accusation, telling Rolling Stone , “I didn’t even know he was going on tour. I had nothing to do with that. If that’s how he perceived it, then that’s how he perceived it. But, really honestly, I don’t follow him on social media. In fact, I don’t even know what he’s doing. I hope he’s doing well and I hope he’s having a time of his life, but it’s not part of my life.”

READ MORE: Top 10 Hall & Oates Songs From the ’70s

On a personal level, Oates said he’s “always open” to mending fences with his longtime partner. “Daryl Hall is an amazing individual. He is one of the great, great songwriters of all time, and without a doubt, one of the great singers of all time. I would never say anything negative about him. But we have a different strategy for our lives, and we have a different strategy for our business lives as well as our personal lives. And that’s that, so be it. We’re old guys. We deserve to be allowed to do whatever we want to do.”

Still, he doesn’t envision them working together again. “I have no idea,” he said. “But I don’t see it. I really don’t. Life is funny though. You never know what kind of curve it will throw you.”

US warned Russia after steady stream of intelligence that ISIS-K was determined to attack, source says

From CNN’s Alex Marquardt, Natasha Bertrand and Jennifer Hansler

Ambulances and vehicles of Russian emergency services are seen parked outside the burning Crocus City Hall concert venue outside Moscow on Friday.

Starting in November, there has been a steady stream of intelligence that ISIS-K was determined to attack in Russia, according to two sources familiar with the intelligence.

It was “fairly specific” intelligence, rising to the level of a duty to warn and the US intelligence community did indeed warn Russia, one of the sources said. But it’s not clear if this is directly tied to the March 7 warning by the US embassy in Moscow.

Russian state media  reported  on March 7 that the FSB prevented an ISIS attack on a synagogue in Moscow, according to Reuters. The ISIS attackers were killed in a gunfight, the reports said.

A US official told CNN that the US is working to determine who is culpable for the attack at a Moscow concert venue.

Adrienne Watson, National Security Council spokesperson, issued a statement Friday on the US warning Russia about an attack.

"Earlier this month, the US government had information about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow – potentially targeting large gatherings, to include concerts – which prompted the State Department to issue a public advisory to Americans in Russia. The US Government also shared this information with Russian authorities in accordance with its longstanding ‘duty to warn’ policy."

Macron condemns Moscow terror attack and expresses solidarity with all Russians, Elysee Palace says

From CNN's Jonny Hallam

French President Emmanuel Macron said he "strongly condemns the terrorist attack claimed by the Islamic State" that left at least 40 people dead and more than 100 injured in a Moscow concert hall Friday, according to AFP and Reuters citing the Elysee Palace.

UN Security Council condemns "heinous" terrorist attack in Moscow

From CNN's Richard Roth and Mia Alberti

The United Nations Security Council condemned the "heinous and cowardly" attack at the Crocus concert hall in Krasnogorsk, in Moscow, on Friday, which left 40 dead and more than 140 people injured.

"The members of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the Russian people, and they wished a speedy and full recovery to those who were injured," the UNSC said in a statement.

The members of the UNSC urged all States to cooperate with the Russian government to "hold perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism accountable and bring them to justice."

"The members of the Security Council reiterated that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed," it said.

Moscow terror attack leaves 115 people hospitalized, 60 in "serious condition," Russian health minister says

From CNN's Darya Tarasova

Emergency services personnel and servicemen are seen outside the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, outside Moscow, on Friday.

Following the deadliest terror attack on Moscow in decades, 115 people have been hospitalized of which 60 are in a "serious condition," according to Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko.

“We hospitalized 115 people, five of them are children. One child is in serious condition,” Murashko said in an early morning statment on Saturday according to Russian state media TASS.

UN chief strongly condemns "terrorist attack" in Russia

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned "in the strongest possible terms today's terrorist attack at a concert hall outside Moscow," according to a statement released by deputy spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Farhan Haq.

"The Secretary-General conveys his deep condolences to the bereaved families and the people and the Government of the Russian Federation. He wishes those injured a speedy recovery," the statement said.

Moscow urgently calls for blood donors to help treat dozens of wounded

Moscow City Duma Chairman Alexey Shaposhnikov late Friday called on Muscovites to come forward and give blood to help treat the dozens of wounded following Russia's deadliest terror attack in decades.

“After today’s tragedy in Crocus, many victims need donor blood. I ask you to donate blood for the wounded! Now this is very important, this is a matter of life and death for dozens of people,” Shaposhnikov said on Telegram

Shaposhnikov listed several blood center facilities in the Moscow area that will accept donors throughout the weekend.

China firmly supports the Russian government’s efforts to maintain national security and stability, Xi said, according to CCTV state television.

The shooting attacks in Moscow are the latest in a series of deadly terror attacks in the country since the 2000s.

In 2004, militants from Chechnya and elsewhere took hostages at a school in Beslan in southern Russia.

The militants demanded a withdrawal from Chechnya. Hostages were kept in a gymnasium, and 334 died — half of them children — when gunfire and explosions erupted when it was stormed. Hostages’ families were critical of the rescue operation. Russian prosecutors later cleared authorities .

Two years prior, in 2002, Chechen separatists attacked the Dubrovka Theater in Moscow and took more than 700 people hostage. Russian forces used gas, and 129 hostages died. The attackers were killed.

More recently, in 2017 a suicide bomber from Kyrgyzstan killed 15 people as well as himself in an attack on a St. Petersburg subway. In 2013, two bombers killed a combined 34 people in attacks on a railway station and a trolleybus in Volgograd.

The group Islamic State, also known as ISIS, claimed responsibility for the attacks Friday at the Crocus City Hall venue.

Putin wishes victims well, deputy prime minister says

President Vladimir Putin is thinking of those injured in today’s attack and thanked doctors, a Russian government official said according to state media.

State media TASS reported that “Putin wished all those injured in the emergency at Crocus City Hall to recover and conveyed his gratitude to the doctors, Golikova said,” referring to Tatiana Golikova deputy prime minister for social policy, labor, health and pension provision.

More than 60 dead, and death toll could grow, Russian agency says

Russia’s Investigative Committee said Saturday that more than 60 people have died in the attack, and warned the number may increase.

“The bodies of the dead are being examined. It has been previously established that more than 60 people died as a result of the terrorist attack. Unfortunately, the number of victims may increase,” according to the Investigative Committee, which is a federal state agency.

Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the security agency FSB are continuing to investigate, the committee said in a statement, and weapons and ammunition have been found.

U.S. warned Russia about planned terrorist attack in Moscow, NSC says

Monica Alba

The United States shared information about a potential terrorist attack in Moscow with Russia’s government earlier this month, a spokesperson for the National Security Council said.

The U.S. Embassy in Russia on March 7 warned U.S. citizens to avoid crowds and said it was monitoring reports that extremists might attack large gatherings in Moscow.

“Earlier this month, the U.S. Government had information about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow — potentially targeting large gatherings, to include concerts — which prompted the State Department to issue a public advisory to Americans in Russia,” NSC spokesperson Adrienne Watson said.

“The U.S. Government also shared this information with Russian authorities in accordance with its longstanding ‘duty to warn’ policy,” Watson said.

Putin recently dismissed ‘provocative’ warning about potential attacks

In remarks that aired three days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of “provocative statements” about potential terror attacks in Russia, and dismissed them.

Putin Russian Election Moscow

“I’ll remind you of recent, let’s say directly, provocative statements of certain official Western structures about potential terror attacks in Russia,” Putin said.

“All of this looks like obvious blackmail and an attempt to intimidate, destabilize our country,” he said before the state security agency FSB.

Putin in those remarks did not specify a country or warning. The U.S. embassy in Russia on March 7 warned U.S. citizens to avoid crowds .

“The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts, and U.S. citizens should be advised to avoid large gatherings over the next 48 hours,” the U.S. embassy warned.

Guards at concert hall didn't have guns, state news says

The Associated Press

Guards at the concert hall didn’t have guns, and some could have been killed at the start of the attack, Russian media reported.

Some Russian news outlets suggested the assailants fled before special forces and riot police arrived.

Reports said police patrols were looking for several vehicles the attackers could have used to escape.

U.S. had been gathering intelligence that ISIS could attack Russia

Ken Dilanian

The U.S. had been gathering intelligence for months that ISIS could mount a mass casualty attack in Russia, two U.S. officials confirmed to NBC News.

That information led to a March 7 warning issued by the U.S. embassy in Russia about possible extremist attacks, including at concerts, urging people to stay away from large gatherings, one of the officials said.

That official said the claim of responsibility today by ISIS appears to be genuine, though no final assessment had been made about who was responsible.

Some Moscow concertgoers filmed events as they unfolded Friday night, when gunmen opened fire inside a theater and people ran to take cover in fear for their lives.

Witness says gunfire was first thought to be construction noise

A witness to today’s armed attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall told a state news agency that they first mistook the gunfire for sounds of an installation being dismantled.

“First, we started hearing typical loud pops, but it was impossible to understand that they were gunshots. We thought that something was falling, as exhibitions were being dismantled at that moment, and someone seemed to be dropping something large,” Mikhail Semyonov told TASS .

“Then, the bangs were getting more and more frequent. Suddenly, there was a scream, and the bangs started to be heard as bursts. Then it became clear that it was shooting,” he said.

ISIS claims responsibility for attack but does not provide proof

The terror group Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack in Moscow.

The group, also known as ISIS, did not provide any proof of its claim, which came from ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram.

The group’s members have carried out a number of terror attacks, including the 2015 attacks in Paris that killed 130 people.

Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, said children were among the victims of tonight's attack.

"Information about their condition is regularly updated," Lvova-Belova said on Telegram. "Any additional assistance will be provided immediately."

She later told Russia 24 TV channel that at least two children had been injured, including one boy with a gunshot wound.

Earlier, Russian officials released a preliminary casualty toll of at least 40 people dead and more than 100 injured.

France, U.K., Germany condemn attack

Officials from France, the U.K. and Germany were among those who expressed their condolences to the victims of the attack at the Crocus concert hall.

"We condemn the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow," the U.K.'s embassy in Russia said . "This is a terrible tragedy."

Meanwhile, France's foreign ministry called for "full light" to be shed on "these heinous acts."

Public events across Russia called off after attack

Several regional leaders across Russia, including in the annexed Kherson region of Ukraine, have canceled public events this weekend over security considerations after the deadly concert attack in Moscow.

Shortly after the attack, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin canceled all sports, cultural and other public events in Moscow this weekend. State news agency TASS also quoted Russia's cultural ministry as saying that mass and entertainment events in federal cultural institutions have been canceled in the coming days.

Zelenskyy adviser speaks out about attack

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s adviser denied that Ukraine was involved in the deadly Crocus concert hall attack.

“Ukraine certainly has nothing to do with the shooting/explosions in the Crocus City Hall (Moscow Region, Russia),” Mykhailo Podolyak wrote on X. “It makes no sense whatsoever.”

No evidence has emerged to suggest Ukraine may have been involved, but Ukrainian officials may be trying to pre-empt accusations, as some Kremlin hawks have already started pointing at Kyiv.

Asked whether the shooting was at all tied to the war in Ukraine, U.S. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said: “There is no indication at this time that Ukraine, or Ukrainians, were involved in the shooting, but again, this just broke. We’re taking a look at it, but I would disabuse you at this early hour have any connection to Ukraine.”

Videos posted to social media appear to show chaos inside Moscow's Crocus City Hall during and after a terrorist attack.

Some videos include what sound like gunshots and show men with rifles, as concertgoers frantically try to exit the venue.

Jason Abbruzzese

The State Department said that the U.S. Embassy in Moscow is aware of the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall and that U.S. citizens should avoid the area and follow the instructions of local authorities.

"The U.S. government’s ability to provide routine or emergency services to U.S. citizens in Russia is severely limited, particularly in areas far from the U.S. embassy in Moscow, due to Russian government limitations on travel for U.S. embassy personnel and staffing, and the ongoing suspension of operations, including consular services, at U.S. consulates in Russia," the State Department said in a message posted to its website .

The journalist said that at least three unmasked gunmen in camouflage entered the hall a few minutes before 8 p.m. Moscow time. They shot people point-blank and threw incendiary bombs, according to the journalist.

"Now, as the Russian authorities have stated, all efforts are being devoted to saving people," Zakharova said. "The entire world community is obliged to condemn this monstrous crime!"

U.S. national security spokesperson says embassy has told Americans to avoid large gatherings in Moscow

Kyla Guilfoil

Russia’s prosecutor general office says number of victims still being determined

Russia's prosecutor general said on Telegram that officials are working to determine how many people have been killed or hurt in the concert attack.

“On behalf of Igor Krasnov, the prosecutor of the Moscow region has gone to the scene of the incident at Crocus City Hall to coordinate the actions of law enforcement agencies," the prosecutor general's Telegram account posted. "Tonight, before the start of the event in the concert hall in Krasnogorsk, unknown men in camouflage clothes broke into the building and started shooting."

"The number of victims is being determined, a fire started in the entertainment center building, and citizens are being evacuated."

Moscow's mayor cancels weekend events

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on Telegram that he was canceling all public events in Moscow this weekend.
