Platinum-selling dance producer Gryffin has unveiled dates for his Alive tour, in support of his forthcoming sophomore album of the same name. Spanning seven shows across the US, Gryffin’s tour kicks off on August 19 at New York’s Brooklyn Mirage, with dates running into the winter.
Gryffin announced his sophomore album earlier this month, revealing that it would be available later this year. In the meantime, he has shared several tracks off Alive , much to the delight of fans. Last Friday, he released the dynamic anthem “Caught Up,” which features hypnotic vocals from Olivia O’Brien. In addition, Gryffin teamed up with frequent collaborator, Swedish singer-songwriter Calle Lehmann, for the album’s title track . Last month, Gryffin also collaborated with Grammy nominated band OneRepublic for the heartfelt song, “You Were Loved.”

Alive follows the producer’s debut studio album Gravity , which was released in October 2019 and featured star-studded appearances from Carly Rae Jepsen, Zedd, and Aloe Blacc. Gravity found strong success, as it reached No.1 on Billboard’s US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

In addition to Gryffin’s Alive tour dates, he will be appearing at a variety of summer festivals, including Bonnaroo and Life Is Beautiful. He will also be continuing his successful Las Vegas residency at The Wynn’s Encore Beach Club and XS Nightclub. Presale for the Alive tour begins on May 18 at 12pm local time, with general onsale taking place on May 20 at 10am.
“It feels great to get back on the road and see my fans again,” Gryffin told We Rave You last year. “I really missed performing over the past year, and even though we’re not 100% there yet, it’s really awesome to start announcing new dates again, and I’m optimistic that things will return to normal sooner than later.”

The show was awesome! Have been following Gryffin for so long, finally being able to see him let me check that off my list. His use of live instruments definitely made the energy of the show unique and enjoyable. When he first ended without playing Whole Heart I stood in shock since that song has been my go to for good vibes since high school. Overall wonderful performance from all artists.

An earlier show than usual, with a younger crowd, but wow, what a set! Yes, it was packed and sold out and people were jumping around and at times, a little elbow-y, but it was so good! He played all his popular songs and debuted a few new ones and he came back after we chanted “one more song!” pyrotechnics and smoke were alright. i think he could’ve done more with his visuals but no matter, all his music was fire! plays a bunch of instruments AND sings! drummer was great too! 13/10 would do it again.
Show was exactly what i expected it to be like...
Songs were great and the live instrumentals were just sick! only gripe i had is that the show was over by 1030 which was just a shame as he was on fire from his first song to the last

[Event Review] Gryffin ‘Alive’ Tour at Red Rocks

Photo Credit: Juliana Bernstein / @gettiny
American musician, DJ, songwriter, and record producer Gryffin made his highly anticipated stop at the world rebounded Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Colorado where he headlined the venue for the very first time. And although most people missed the iconic red sunset the venue is known for due to the shortening days of fall, the venue was still just as beautiful, with lights illuminating the iconic “twin rocks” that can be found on either side of the seating area. Entry and exit was effluence and concession stands were well staffed and moved quickly.
Support included house artists Dot, Surf Mesa and Joel Corry. Despite Gryffin not going on until 10:30pm Local Time, the crowd arrived early and turned out for the openers. Dot opened first with a groovy house set. Surf Mesa played after and provided the audience with a great eclectic set, full of popular hits after hit and had some very impressive visuals. Finally, Joel Corry turned up the heart and whipped the crowd into a frenzy with his high bpm tech house set that had people buzzing with excitement.

Griffin’s show was nothing short of extraordinary. As someone who had already attended an ‘Alive’ tour stop, I thought I knew what to expect. It was expect that the classically trained musician would show off talents on his guitar, keyboards and drums, but the show was far more evolved that his first at The Brooklyn Mirage .

His visual and lighting set up was the same, with the warm new ‘Alive’ color pallet, however, his setlist was the real glow up. There have been multiple new singles released since his last show and he’s added them to the Red Rocks set and meticulously arranged for a live performance. Many of the tracks he played this time were noticeably harder and darker. Many took a turn for melodic dubstep and bass house as opposed to the Mirage set’s mixes which were more bright. He of course brought out multiple live singers as is tradition for his live shows and one of the most memorable parts of the show was a live performance on a pad machine.

Gryffin only has a few more stops left in his tour, including his largest headlining show to date at Los Angeles State Historic Park on November 4 th . So make sure you see him if he’s in your city!

VIDEO EXCLUSIVE: DJ Gryffin On New Project, Electric Zoo, Creating Music
Posted: September 7, 2023 | Last updated: November 9, 2023
In his exclusive new uInterview at the Electric Zoo Festival in New York City, musician and DJ Daniel Griffith , better known as Gryffin , revealed that he plans on dropping a new project and spoke in-depth about his creative process.
Erik Meers , the founder of uInterview, spoke with Gryffin about performing sets like the one at eZoo and the visuals that go into creating a show. “Always working on the flow, trying to put new edits out there, play some of the music I’ve made in the studio or unreleased music,” he said.
He said that he prepares the music and then passes it over to his team so that they “can plan the visuals, the lights, the looks.” Together, they then collaborate on “every song and try and be as meticulous as possible about the best way to present that music.”
The DJ likes a variety of music, ranging from “relaxing” to a “banger for a nightclub.” His albums typically depend “on what I’m feeling at the moment and where I’m taken creatively on it.” He prefers to focus on “the setting and the vibe in which this music is being listened to” in order to decide on what direction he wants to go in. Despite the genre, he consistently goes “with the flow.”
Gryffin revealed that he is planning on dropping a new project soon that he has almost completed. He disclosed that “it’s very energetic” and “very fun.” He called it “some of the most fun I’ve had making music in a really long time.” The project has been in the works the entire summer, which for him was “a really creative summer in the studio.”
Gryffin played on the main stage of Electric Zoo over Labor Day weekend on Randall’s Island in New York City. The annual festival focuses on electronic music. Other famous EDM stars and groups were in attendance, including Major Lazer, Zedd and Tiesto.
Gryffin is currently on tour, announcing Wednesday on Instagram that he has added an additional date to his tour “to Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on November 3rd for a very special show for my hometown.”
