Can I order a gift, like wine or flowers, and have it delivered to a stateroom on an upcoming sailing?

Absolutely! Make your upcoming cruise more memorable—or bid family and friends a festive “bon voyage”—with delightful gifts and amenities delivered on board the ship. Visit Onboard Gifts to choose from a delightful array of in-room decorations, tasty sweets, cheese and fruit platters, personalized cakes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, flowers and much, much more. You’ll need a reservation number and the last name associated with the reservation to begin shopping. You can also contact us at (800) 601-8455 Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Eastern Time or Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time to place an order. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Most items will be delivered to a stateroom on Embarkation Day, although some products like cakes and select beverages can be delivered to a stateroom or a dining room on a delivery date and time of your choosing.

Please note that all cake orders must be placed no later than 7 days prior to sail date. For all gifts that are not cakes, orders must be placed no later than 3 days prior to sail date.

I've tried the search engine but it keeps bombing out - sorry if this has been asked recently.

Is there a place on the Princess website that shows what sorts of gifts can be delievered to the room and be there when you board? I'm especially interested in gifts for children.

Thanks - that is what I was looking for.

Carmel, just be aware - when I did that one time for our dd's there was only a card with what had been ordered in the cabin (despite being assured by Princess it would be there) we then had to wait for the gift shop to open to go to redeem - only to find out what I had ordered wasnt available - they chose something else but the "moment" had gone - making it a little disappointing!

Before our Alaska cruise (from Whittier), I called the local florist and a very nice lady helped me. I explained exactly what I wanted for my grandson, to be in our suite on our arrival (3 mylar balloons tied to a large stuffed animal). She shopped in Anchorage, emailed me what was available, went back to buy it, and all was in our cabin on arrival. I have never had such great service! My point is, perhaps you might call a local florist at your port rather than rely on whatever Princess has available. I assure you what we got was much better than what Princess offered. The florist just charged my credit card, very easy.

The price was better, too, from the local store.

Yes, CassCruise is correct, that was our experience too. I ordered a princess teddy bear for my daughter and it was just the card in the room. We had to wait for the gift shop to open to go pick up the bear, not as much fun as finding it ready and waiting on her bed.

Wow - thanks guys. I agree, a card in the room would not be really exciting. I guess I will just prepare a 'bag of goodies' for each girl and give it to them once aboard. Hubby will take the girls on a walk and when they get back, it will be waiting for them!

When we go on DCL I do this, I go to the Disney store and buy stuff that they will use and want and then they give me some boxes, I put some other cruise stuff in, some candy etc and take it in my carryon luggage, I put it in the room on the beds when we get to the room, DH will keep them occupied, they have always loved the 'surprise' and kept busy with the stuff etc.

Another option is to buy the package that involves Princess decorating your room - it can be for a special occasion or just for "Bon Voyage", and I imagine this would be done prior to boarding.

EBSIS Ul'Yanovsk Class Nuclear Aircraft Carrier:

Few people believe that the EBSIS naval forces are as powerful as they are but the reality is that they are quite dangerous. The Ul'Yanovsk Class Nuclear Aircraft Carrier is a new carrier design that was laid down just before the Global War and while not quite the equal of American designs, still carries a good number of aircraft and is the most powerful pre global war carrier design not constructed by the Americans. The Ul'Yanovsk was to have been commissioned around 1994 but was delayed during the Global War and was fully commissioned in January of 2004. This delay was due to adding new systems and incorporating high strength ceramics into the design to enable it to withstand far more damage. While the ship is nuclear powered, the EBSIS has two conventionally powered carriers that are smaller but similar in many respects. These are the Tbilisi and Riga and plans are to upgrade them to the same standards as the Ul'Yanovsk as far as armor and standard. This is question due to budget constraints. A second ship of the Ul'Yanovsk class was planned but scrapped after the purchasing of the Iapetus.

Unlike the Kirov class cruiser, the carrier design is fully nuclear powered which allows for much greater endurance at high speed. In addition, the ship has more space for carrying aviation fuel than is carried on the ships half brothers. Brothers, because the Russians consider their ship designs as male unlike Americans and most other nations. The ship has four PWR nuclear reactors (fission not fusion rectors) that produce 240,000 horsepower and can propel the ship at speeds of up to 32 knots. The ship is incredibly well armed and has multiple anti-missile defense system. The ship is in reality better defended with its own defenses better than American designs. The missile launchers have been converted to fire missiles that are copies of designs stolen for the RDF. It was original planned that the carrier would have catapults but due to engineering problems, the ship was equipped with a ski jump to launch aircraft.

Similar to most newer Soviet ship designs, the ship has very luxurious quarters for the officers especially the Captain and any flag officers that are embarked. The ship is designed to be able to act as a flagship and has been often been used as one. The ship carries 30 Su-27 Fighters, 10 Su-25 Attack Aircraft, and around 15 helicopters. Helicopters can be used for extending radar range and for searching for submarines.

Notes: [1] In all four elevators are destroyed, no aircraft can be moved from the hangers to the flight deck, meaning that they cannot be launched unless already on the flight deck. [2] If the flight deck is destroyed, only Helicopters and other VTOL aircraft can be launched or land. VTOL aircraft are at -15% to piloting. [3] Destroying both Strut Pair and Top Plate Air Search System radar system will eliminate the ships long range air search ability but weapon systems have backup fire control systems. Both air search systems are separate so both systems are not likely to be disable from a single hit. [4] Depleting the M.D.C. of the main body destroys the ship’s structural integrity, causing it to sink. There are enough flotation devices and inflatable life rafts to accommodate everyone aboard.

Each enlisted crew member has a small locker for personal items and uniforms. ship’s officers have far more space for personal items. Most of the ship’s spaces are taken up by extra ammo, armor, troops, weapons, and engines. Power System: 4 Nuclear Reactors Market Price: Not available.
